It's the name of a hotel I stayed in once!
Interesting from the wiki description, but I can't see the budget stretching to create something like that pictured when they couldn't do it for the dragons.

So many questions. Leviathans in spn, are monsters that predate angels and humans, and God sent them away, im assuming the other angels except maybe some kind lf lorekeeper or maybe Joshua, know nothing about them. But IMO, they are probably strong enough to kill angels, with maybe higher ranking and possibly only archangels, being able to handle them. Demons wont even make a blip on the radar except for maybe some spellwork.
The whole lot probably dont have bodies and have to possess to have a presence, like angels, whether they need consent is unknown, as cas let them In albeit unknowingly. Their goals now might be to use castiel as a puppet to go on a rampage, they might be a step down from god cas, but i think they, atleast all of them in one body, would give an archangel trouble. Do yall think that they will try to use cas to get more host bodies for them, either human or god forbid, angels. With the leader levi staying in cas?
I think we shall see angels assisting the boys, maybe even demons too, considering The threat these things pose, as i would think they hate all of God's creations as they were free to roam while they got locked away.
Interestingly enough, brian keene, a horror writer has a series that have a myth arc about the Thirteen, creatures predating those of this universe, and one of them is named Leviathan. Lol.

Also, i was thinking, Eve said she was older than angels, and she and her children rested in purgatory a place meant to contain these leviathans, who predate angels.
Is it possible that Eve was such a creature, who perhaps made a bargain with God, to allow another test for humans in the form of watered down leviathan/human hybrids we know as monsters? Also if Eve was one of them who got a chance at freedom, her job might have also been to keep others from accidentally jailbreaking her fellows. She was adamant about stopping crowley and castiel's goal.

I found it very interesting that the new big monster is a Levi, I've heard of them before, in History because there's a book called The Leviathan, so I looked it up, they're before any other creature that's right and very powerful, I can't wait what kind of Supernatural twist they get, I sure loved Cas being possessed by them haha, I hope Cas comes back somehow and the Leviathans possess others and cause some little hell!

It is an interesting monster to pick. When I first heard it, I remembered that it was normally depicted as a large sea monster and was said to be responsible for creating tsunami's.
I also seem to recall, the there was some lore about God creating two Leviathans but upon seeing how destructive they were, he killed the female to prevent them from creating more.
Obviously Supernatural seems to be taking the approach that there was more than one, so it should be interesting to see where they go with it. It will also be kind of a cool twist to have the leviathan who before this was linked more to the sea, using Cas as a vessel to try to take over both land and sea. I have to say, I thought Misha did a great job playing the new bad role.
It sounds like along with taking over earth, the new monster also has it in for the Winchesters. Go figure
Either way, it sounds like its going to be a great season

I want to know if Leviathans can jump hosts cause Levi!Cas said 'we' so there's more than one inside Jimmy/Cas. What happens if they disagree on something? Can one or more leave or are we going to see some infighting?

Oohh good point. If that's the case then that means we might see some "different personality" mood switch from Jimmy/Cas.

The story of Leviathan goes that God did create a male and female, but they were far too powerful and evil, and he did kill one. It's said that only God can control Leviathan but the picture on Wiki also demonstrates that Michael is able to handle him (he's the angel above Levi in the pic).
I recall in the episode of Cas saying "We must keep Lucifer and [Michael in the Cage].", meaning, maybe it wasn't exactly Cas saying it, but moreso Leviathan. This might be a possible story-hint to the brothers possibly having to get Michael out of the Cage, as he's the only other being who can handle Leviathan(s). We'll have to see tho.

I have to say, that makes sense! I had wondered why Michael was brought up again, especially if Cas thought he was truly as powerful as God.

Interesting view there! But if they try to get Michael out, they risk getting Lucifer out again for real and we got another Apocalypse on our hands. If they get Michael out, that might be the story arc they need to bring back Adam.
