Title: Allison- Not your average farm girl
Description: My version of an old idea
killermis - September 9, 2006 02:29 AM (GMT)
Hey so this isn’t my first fan fic, but it is my first time posting it. So I don’t know if it’s any good or not. I love all of your SNFF especially stories that include a sister, but always found myself wanting to tweak it a bit. So that’s what I've done. This story is about the Winchester siblings, Dean, Sam, and Allison. I in no way own Supernatural, or its characters. This is purely for mine and hopefully others' entertainment, and I in no way am making any profit from this story. I hope you all enjoy!

Allison Winchester; A tale of a Sister's Love
Allison Winchester; A tale of a Sister's Love
Lawrence Kansas, 1989
Mary Winchester and her two sons Sam & Dean enter the nursery. In the room there is a toddler's bed adjacent to the wall and a crib in the center of the room. A mobile hangs above the crib playing a soft sound. A changing table sits opposite the bed next to a shelf of books, and pictures. A toy chest is stuffed in the far corner of the room, yet some toys lay askew across the floor. She carries Sam, an adorable six year old as of midnight tonight, who rubs his eyes with his fists in exhaustion. And holds Deans hand hand using her free arm, a teetering boy of nine, whose hazel eyes have become heavy as the time rolls by. Mary smiles at her two boys, and then kneels down so she can whisper in their ears. "Let’s say goodnight to your sister." she said smiling wider. The boys jerk to alertness, and Dean lets go of his mother's hand and runs to the crib. He looks at his month old sister sleeping through the bars of the crib. He listened to the sounds of her heavy breathing. 'She looks so small, how is it possible for her to be so itsy bitsy.' He thought. Then kissing his sister gently on the forehead he whispered "Good Night Allie, I love you!" Realizing there was a presence beside him, he turned and saw his little brother, also gaping at their sister. Dean smiled down at Sam. "The Winchesters, Together, Forever, No Matter What!" Dean said as he reached for his sister and brother's hands and gave them a squeeze. Though Allie was just a baby she smiled up at her brothers knowing she was safe.
Mary watched in awe of her children, and wiped away a happy tear from her eye, and smiled. She realized she must be one of the luckiest people in this world. She feels her husbands arms wrap around her. He hugs his wife from behind and gently kisses her neck. She lets out a happy sigh. John holds his wife, and stares at Sam and Dean. "Shouldn't you boys be in bed?" The boys quickly turned to see their father's towering form.
"Daddy!" The boys said running to him. He scoops Sam up into his arms, while Dean clings to his knees. John gives Mary a knowing look. She smiles at him.
"We were just saying good night to Allie." Mary said looking at her husband and sons with complete happiness. "Here I'll go put Dean down, while you say goodnight to the birthday boy, and her majesty." She said taking hold of Dean as he reluctantly let go of his father. Dean gave his brother a hug, and shot his siter one last look, before allowing his mother to lead him away. After Mary and Dean left the room, it was quiet, with the exception of Dean's mild protests of "but I’m not tired" that could be heard from down the hall. John smiled shaking his head and looked down at Sam. He suppressed a laugh to see his son had already fallen asleep in his arms. Careful not to wake him, he gently placed him in his bed, tucking him in and kissing his forehead. He walked started towards the door, turning his head he whispered "G'night Sammy...G'night Allie, sweet dreams!" Then he turned his back on his children and headed out the door.
Mary opened her eyes wide. She didn’t know what but something had pulled her from her deep sleep. Something was not right. Mary, like most mothers just knew when something was wrong with her children. She ran quickly to the nursery and saw a dark figure standing over her sleeping son. "Who are you?!?!?!" she screamed. The figure looked up at her, but all Mary could see was his cold yellow eyes. He smiled and chuckled. In a flash Mary was thrown against the wall. Her face twited in agony as she shouted for help. "John!"
John Winchester opened his eyes and sprang to life. His marine mode had kicked into high gear. Up the stairs he flew, and charged into his son's and daughter's room. Yet he found nothing out of the norm. Allie was fussing in her crib, and Sam lay in a deep sleep. All was calm and normal. John shushed his daughter's cries, and smiled down at her. He stopped dead in his tracks. A red drop of blood stained his daughter’s forehead. He then felt something on warm running down his hand. An aching feeling of foreboding took over him as he looked up. There his wife stared at him blankly and lifeless. Her skin so pale it nearly matched her night gown. A deep red crimson stain of blood seemed to be the only color he could find. "NO! MARY! NO!" He screamed. Fire began erupting from his wife's corpse, and it seemed in no time at all the fire would consume the whole room. His children’s scream brought him back to reality. Unaware how he ended up on the floor, he jumped up, springing to action. Grabbing his two children, he ran from the hell pit.
Dean had woken up at the sound of his fathers scream, and was in the hall when his father had escaped from the room. Confused Dean questioned his father, searching for hope and understanding, instead he received orders. "Dean take your brother and sister outside as fast as you can! Zero, Dean! Go!" Dean held Allie close with one hand, and used the other to grab Sam's hand and pull him out the front door. They waited outside on the front lawn. Both Sam and Allie were crying, and it took all of Dean's will not to cry too. He waited searching for his parents to return to their children. It seemed like an eternity before their father came out of the house. But he was alone. Then with a loud boom everything stopped, and all was quiet.
Stanford University
Over 16 years later
Sam Winchester lays awake thinking of that night so long ago, and how his life changed forever from that day on.He looks over at his girlfriend, captivated by her beauty. He sighs hoping she will never half to learn about the darkness he has faced and done. Sam stares up at the ceiling, when he hears a noise downstairs. He looks at the clock which reads a bright red 2:07 a.m. He looks over and to see the beautiful shape next to them. She lies there sound asleep, smiling, unaware to the danger they could be in. Switching to stealth mode, he slips out of bed to investigate. Down the hall he just catches a glimpse of the intruder. The shadow of a built man searching through the house for something. Sam waits until the man’s back is turn, then pounces. The man is taken by surprise but quickly recovers, throwing Sam off of him. The man and Sam are locked in fight. Both seem to know what their doing. Adrenaline pumping over the engagement each receives a couple of nasty hits, but it seems the man is about to get the better of Sam when all of the sudden. BAM! Another slightly smaller female figure pops out of nowhere and hits the man square in the jaw. The man keels over in pain. Adrenaline pumping Sam seizes this opportunity and pins the girl down careful not to hurt her, but keeping her immobile. “Easy up on me a bit Sammy! God so this is how you thank me for saving your butt!” She says to him.
“Wh-Who are you?” Sam manage to get out, while the body under him continued to squirm.
“I knew four years was a long time, but I never thought you’d forget us all together.” The man says coming into the moonlight.
Then it hit Sam. “Dean?” he said shocked, “Then is that-?“ He looked down and saw the moonlight shining, as his sister's face came into view. Allison Winchester smiled up at her big brother.
“That has a name! and That wants to know why you still have a death grip on her!” She shouted, and Sam loosened his hold, helping her up. Once she had regained her composure she marched up to Dean and slapped him across the face. “This was not the plan Dean! We were going to wait until morning, we were going to call ahead, we were going to ring the door bell! Why do you have to make everything so hard? Why can’t we ever do things like a normal family?” Sam stared at his sister in awe. He couldn’t help but smile. These four years had nearly changed her beyond recognition. She was still the shortest one in the family, about 5ft4 and medium length dark brown hair which was always pulled back in a low ponytail, or left down. Her sparkling eyes still danced in the light, her cheeks still dimpled when she smiled, and she was still fearless, speaking her mind whenever she saw fit to do so. But she had flourished. He had expected to see the kid sister he left behind, but saw a strong, beautiful young lady in her place. Sixteen, he thought his baby sister is sixteen years old.
“Being normal is vastly overrated.” Dean said shrugging, while his signature smirk spread across his face. Dean had looked the same; He looked as he did the day Sam left. The only thing four years had done to Dean was offer him more scars, stories, and experience.
“What would you done if he had had a shotgun Dean, you could have been killed. I could have been killed. You just don’t think!” Allie said with a bored voice, as if they had had this fight a lot.
“You know Dean’s philosophy Allie, thinking is vastly overrated.” Sam replied with a grin. Dean was slightly taken aback, but recovered quickly.
“Whatever dude, I had you pegged, if Miss PMS over here hadn’t come in, your ass would have been mine, I gotta tell ya man I think your getting a little bit rusty!” Allie, playfully smacked Dean’s chest for his PMS comment, then wandered around, examining the house. Sam shifted uncomortably.
"Erm Guys... What the hell are you doing here?" Sam asked bluntly.
"Well I was looking for a beer." Dean said smiling broadly. Sam looked skeptical, and turned to his sister.
"What a girl can't visit her genius of a brother at college?" Allie asked.Sam rolled his eyes.
"What the hell are you doing here?" He asked angrily.
"Okay, all right, we gotta talk. " Dean said.
"Uh, the phone?" Sam said bewildered.
"I told him!" Allie said giving Dean a triumphant look.
"We already tried that way with you... Didnt really work out! Are you telling me if i would have called you would have picked up?" Sam opens his mouth to retort. But Allie cuts him off still gaping at the room.
“Wow Sammy, you got a great place here!” She said, “Its Huge! I bet you don’t even have to share a room with anybody!”
“Or not.” Dean said looking up. By the door entryway was something blonde tall and leggy, which always got Deans attention. To sweeten the deal she was wearing a grey cotton smurf belly shirt, and shorts that gave the word a new meaning.
“Sam, what’s going on?” The girl said.
Dean let out a low wolf whistle, “You know I love the smurfs.”
Allie rolled her eyes and elbowed her eldest brother in the stomach. “I’m terribly sorry for my very rude brother, he can’t help himself. He's got a problem with his brain... He doesnt use it. I’m Allie, the rude ass over there is Dean, and I’m sorry if we woke you.”
“Jess,” Sam explained, “This is my brother and my sister, and guys this is my girlfriend Jess.”
“I gotta tell you you are Completely out of my brother’s league." Dean said walking up to Jessica with a familiar smirk on his face.
"Just let me put something on." Jessica said turning a light pink with embarassment.
"No, no, no, I wouldn’t dream of it…Seriously." Dean said. Allie stomps on his foot, grinning at Jess.
"What he means is, we don't want you to go to any trouble, for us." Allie says giving Dean a nasty glare. Dean nods.
"Anyway, I gotta borrow your boyfriend here, talk about some private family business, but, uh, nice meeting you." Dean said, smirking widely. Jessica looked slightly shocked, while Sam looked furious. He marched up to her wrapping his arm around her lovingly.
"No. No. Whatever you wanna say you can say it in front of her." Sam said glaring at Dean, eyes blazing with anger.
"Oh... Okay...Sammy, Its Dad, he’s missing.” Allie said voice shaking slightly. The room got eerily quiet and Sam looked at his sister not picking up the fear in her voice. He snorted.
“Al, I’m sure its nothing to worry about, he’s probably working over-time on a 'Miller Time” shift; he’ll stumble back in sooner or later'” Eerie silence flooded the room. Deand and Allie shared a look.
“No, Sam. Dad’s on a hunting trip and he hasn’t been home in a few days.”

Sensing the tension in the room Jessica had excused herself, Allison wished she could do the same because it had already begun.
“You can’t just break in, middle of the night and expect me to hit the road with you!” Sam said his voice rising. “Especially since he always goes missing and he’s always fine!”
“Not like this, not this long, we need you to help us find him!” Dean replied.
“Guys, come on! Can’t we just-“Allie started.
“I swore I was done hunting, for good! Do you think mom would have wanted this for us? Being raised like warriors?” Sam said ignoring Allie’s plea.
“So that’s why you ran away?” Dean said shaking his head. “That’s why you left us. So you could have some normal apple pie life.”
“I was just going to college. Dad’s the one who said not to come back!” Sam shouted his voice twitching in anger.
“Allison sure as hell didn’t, though. She stood on the porch that night until three a.m. How many letters you get from her? How many phone calls? You ignored them all!”
“Stop talking about me like I’m not here!” Allie huffed in a pout of embarrassment.
“Dad said to stay gone and that’s what I was trying to do.”
“Am I invisible over here?” Allie asked
“Bull Crap, you just wanted a normal life and your freak family got in the way of perfect little picture!”
“SHUT UP!” Allie screamed at the top of her voice. Her brothers stopped and stared. “I haven’t thrown a temper tantrum since I was 6, but you two seem to have that affect on me!” she said “Four years you haven’t seen each other and in four seconds your at each other’s throats! Forget the past right now, lets concentrate on the present! Dad could be in serious trouble Sammy. We haven asked you for anything all this time, and we wouldnt ask now if we didn’t think we needed your help! Please Sammy!” She pouted, and looked at Sam with her sad eyes. She knew it, Dean knew it, and Sam knew it; there was no resisting the sad eyes. Sam was going.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Remember guys, this is only for the weekend, I gotta be back for my interview on Monday.” Sam said.
“Yeah, Yeah, we got it Sammy!” Dean said mindlessly
“Ya know Sammy is a chubby twelve year old, It’s Sam!”
“Whatever dude.”
Dean and Allie had filled Sam in about Dad’s latest case, and were now at a gas station, heading out to investigate. Allie sat in the back seat, having gladly giving up shot gun to Sam. She was just ecstatic that the three Winchester Siblings were back together. Dean turned up the volume on the cassette player, and Metallica rang out through the Impala.
“Dude you gotta update your cassette tape collection.” Allie and Dean glared at him.
"Why?" Allie asked curious.
“For one they’re cassette tapes,” Sam said searching through the box of tapes. “And two...Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Metallica! It's the greatest hit of mullet rock.”
“House Rules are as followed: Driver picks the music.” Allie started.
“Shotgun shuts his cake hole.” Dean finished.
"And I happen to like that mullet rock!" Allie said defensively. Sam rolled his eyes.
"You've been hanging around Dean too much."
"You say that like it's a bad thing." Dean said smiling at his sister, who just shrugged back at him. Sam rolled his eyes again, looking back at Allie he asked about school.
“Jesus, I almost forgot,” she said, pulling out her laptop. She began typing vigorously, and Sam looked at Dean confused.
“Home schooled internet thing. For about 2 years now. Was missing too much school, and was about to fail. So dad switched her.”
“I do the work 5 times as fast as I did before. I’m gonna be a senior by the end of this year. ” She said smiling weakly.
Sam grimaced. His baby sister was deprived of a home, a mom, and friends because of what their family did, and it made him furious. She deserved better than this. They all did.
“So this is where Constance took the swan dive.”
“Do you think Dad was here?” Allie asked, looking over the ledge of the bridge.
“Well he’s chasing the same story and we’re chasing him.” Dean shrugged, turning away,“We just gotta keep digging til we find him; It may take a while.”
“Dean, Allie, I told you I gotta be back by-“
“Monday, ya the interview. I forgot.” Dean lied. “So you’re serious about this. Think you’ll become a lawyer, marry your girl, and buy a house with a white Pickett fence. Well you can pretend all you want Sammy, but sooner or later you’ll have to fess up to who you really are.”
“And who is that.” Sam said angrily following Dean.
“One of us; you got a responsibility.”
“To what, to Dad and his crusade? And what does it matter? Even if we do find the thing that killed her, moms gone and she is never coming back.” That was it. Dean grabbed Sam by his jacket’s collar and shoved him into the railing.
“Don’t talk about her like that.” Dean practically whispered but his voice was hard as a rock, “What’s wrong with you,” He said suddenly to his sister, who had stayed in the same spot since they had started yelling. She swallowed the knot in her throat and pointed. Her brothers slowly turned to see what their sister had seen. There was their woman in white; about to take a swan dive once more.
They rushed over trying to reach her before she leapt, but was too late. Their disappointment was soon met by the rumble of an old friend. They turned around to see the Impala, lights on, engine revving. “Dude, who’s driving your car?” Sam asked Dean. In response Dean pulled out his keys. The three siblings looked at each other, took pause, then ran like hell. The car was gaining speed fast, and the Winchesters were out of options, they jumped!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sam had landed on the other side of the ledge. He searched for his brother and sister. “ALLIE! DEAN!” he shouted.
“Sam a little help here.” He heard his sister say. He looked down and saw her hanging on to a piece of rusted metal he was sure could not hold her wait for much longer.
“I got you Allison and I’m not gonna let you go.” He reached down, and grabbed his sister by the wrist and pulled her to the safety of the ledge.
After catching their breath Allie looked around, then shouted with panic in her voice, “Where’s Dean? DEAN! DEAN!” Searching the rocky shore below, ready to jump in the current if no answer came. But thankfully one did.
“What?” they heard from way below.
“Are you okay?” Sam asked
“I’m super.”
~~~~~~~~~~
"How's the car?" Sam asked his siblings. Allie was laying below the undercarriage, and Dean was checking out the hood. "She okay?"
"Yeah whatever she did to it, its alright now." Dean said. "Man OhThat Constance chick, What a bitch!" Dean said angrily.
"I wannna know why she went after me! I'm not a guy." Allie said confused.
"Well she doesn’t want us digging around, that’s for sure." The three siblings sit in silent for a few minutes. Allie and Sam glance before turning to Dean.
"Oh god Dean!" Allie said gagging slightly.
"What?" Dean says nervously.
"You smell like a toilet." Sam says laughing slightly. Dean glares at his siblings before climbing into the impala.
“How many times to I have to tell you it’s my high school locker combination.” Dean said looking down at his father’s journal. His name and the numbers 35-111 lay circled on the page before him. A message from his father. Normally he would be happy about this, but tonight been a pretty crappy night for him. He had gotten in a fight with Sam, had his car hijacked by a ghost, jumped off a bridge, and been arrested all within a 24 hour period. He just hoped his sister and brother where having more luck than he was.
“We gonna have to do this all night?” The cop asked Dean.
“Excuse me; we just got 911 call, shootings down on Whiteford r.d.” Another cop said sticking his head through the door.
“You gotta go to the bathroom?” Cop asked Dean
“No”
“Good.” He said handcuffing Dean to the table, then with a smile he headed out the door. Dean sighed then looked down at his father’s journal. He couldn’t help but smile. A paper clip! Maybe his luck was changing after all!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dean shimmied down the fire escape when he saw his baby sister leaning against the wall looking at her watch. She looked up at him and smiled. “About time, I made that call over 10 minutes ago. Honestly Dean I’m worried about you, I think you’re loosing your touch.”
“Shut up. Where’s Sam?”
“He is out interviewing Mr. Welch, so we can send this bitch back to hell. Why Dad didn’t do it I’ll never know.”
“I do, let me see your cell phone.” Allie handed him her pink razor, and he dialed Sam's number, putting it on speaker phone.
"You let our sister make a fake 911 phone call?" Dean demanded of Sam, who laughed.
"Since when has anybody been able to stop Allie when she has her mind made up." Sam said
"Since when have you two started talking about me like I'm not here." Allie said with an amused tone. "Your welcome by the way." She said to Dean.
"Guys we need to talk." Dean said ignoring Allie.
"Tell me about it. So the husband was unfaithful, we are dealing with a woman in white. She’s buried behind her old house. So that should have been dad’s next stop." Sam said.
"Makes since, we should head there now." Allie said.
"Guys! Would you shut up for a second." Dean said, obviously unable to get a word in with his siblings excessive talking. "As I was trying to tell you before I was interrupted. He's gone. Dad left Jericho."
"What?" Allie said shocked.
"How do you know?" Sam asked.
"I’ve got his journal." Dean said, pulling out a leather bound book. Allie's eyes got big looking at it.
"But." Allie started. "He never goes anywhere without this. She said taking the book from Dean, handling it with much care.
"Yeah, well he did this time." Dean explained.
"Well what does it say?" Sam asked.
"Same old ex-marine crap when he wants to let us know where he’s going."
"Coordinates." The three siblings said in unison.
"Great." Sam said with annoyance in his voice. "Where to?" Dean looked at Allie who pulled her laptop from her shoulder bag.
"I'm on it." She said.
“I dont understand. What’s so important that Dad would just skip town in the middle of a job? It doesn’t make sen-?” Sam said but was abruptly cut off. He gasped and slammed on the breaks. The car screeched to a stop and the phone connection was cut off. Dean and Allie shared a nervous look.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I can never go home.” The woman whispered. She had driven the car to her old house, with Sam in it. I’m not unfaithful, so I’m safe. She can’t hurt me, I’ve never cheated on Jess. The woman turned to Sam, her eyes then turned to hate; pushing her nails into his skin, she attempted to pull Sam’s heart out. Sam screamed out in agony.
“Not on the new upholstery Bitch!” Sam heard Dean yell, followed by shots fired at the woman. She disappeared momentarily, and Sam took this as his opportunity.
“I’m taking you home!” He said through gritted teeth. Slamming his foot down on the gas pedal, the car piled into the old house.
"SAM!" Dean and Allie yelled, running after the car. Sam had had the wind knocked out of him and felt him being pulled from the car.
“Sam, are you ok?” Allie asked checking out her brother for any serious injuries. Before her brother could answer her, she felt a jerk and was thrown into the wall hard, knocking her out.
“Allie!” Her brother’s screamed, but in a flash they were pinned up against the wall by a desk. The woman stared at the men, and started toward them. Dean and Sam gulped, when they heard a gun shot. Allie had her gun aimed at the Woman and White.
"Hands off the Brothers BITCH." Allie said. The woman turned toward Allie. Then smiled, walking near her. Allie kept firing at the woman, but she didnt even flinch. "Shit! I should have thought this through!" Allie said nervously. The woman wrapped her fingers around Allie's throat and began to choke her two death. Dean and Sam were helpless, as they watched in horror. Suddenly two children appeared. The woman saw this, and released Allie, who dropped to the ground grasping for air. The children appeared right before her and began hugging her. The ghost screamed out in agony, and then all three melted in a pool of water of the ground. Dean and Sam pushed the desk away in unison and ran for Allie, whose face was slightly red from the lack fo oxygen. Dean threw his arms around his sister and hugged her for all she was worth, having been lost in the moment.
“I thought you said no chick flick moments.” She told her eldest brother, grinning broadly. He dropped her, and turned away embarrassed. “You like me, You really really like me.” She said feigning tears.
“Shut up. Good job finding her weakness Sam." Dean said patting Sam on the shoulder.
"Ahh." Sam said laughing in pain. " I wish I could say the same for you. What were you thinking shooting Casper in the face, you freak?"
"Hey, saved your ass." Dean said with a smirk.
"Actually that was me!" Allie said.
"Whatever, I’ll tell you another thing. If you screwed up my car, I’ll kill you." Dean said attempting to change the subject. Both Allie and Sam looked at each other then at Dean, and smiled. Some things would never change.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They pulled up to the house. The ride back had been silent; no one had said a word. Dean pulled to the car to a stop. Allie looked down trying to fight back the tears. Sam grabbed his bag and got out the back door, he leaned in the window, looking at his siblings. “I promise, this isn’t goodbye, it’s just see you later.” He kissed Allie on the cheek then turned away heading toward the house. Dean waited a few seconds then put the car into drive.
“This isn’t right!” His sister said.
“You’re telling me.” He replied.
“No,” she said “this really isn’t right!” Unbuckling her seat belt she opened the door and ran into the house. Dean stood there a moment awestruck, before rising to follow her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sam had entered the house and dropped his bags, realizing how exhausted he was he headed up the stairs to bed. He collapsed down. He smiled, he was home. Just as he drifted off to sleep he felt something dripped down onto his forehead, he ignored it, then it happened again. He looked up to find Jessica pinned to the ceiling, eyes blank and lifeless. “No! NO JESSICA!” He screamed.
“Sam?” Allie hollered, then seeing what he saw she gasped, “Oh my god!” Fire started spreading and soon the whole room would be ablaze. Dean and Allie ran to Sam, and Dean grabbed him pulling him out of the room. Allie had attempted, in vain to save Jessica. Her hands ached with the fire’s burn, and she heard Dean’s voice telling her to get out of there. The fire was getting worse, and she ran coughing like mad escaping the fire pit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Allie’s hand was wrapped by an EMT who told her she was an idiot and asked her what the hell she was thinking. He wanted to take her to the hospital, yet she refused saying she just need a Tylenol. Dean thanked the paramedic and took his sister by the collar. “What the hell was that?” He asked her, yet she ignored him, and walked up to Sam. She looked at him, eyes wide with pity, sorrow, and understanding. She wanted to take her brother in her arms, but he pushed her away. He looked at the armory bin in the trunk of the Impala. He tossed a shot gun into the bin and shut the trunk.
“We’ve got work to do!”

Bad news today i was sick, Good news i got the whole next eppy done. Enjoy!
Sam Winchester woke with a start. He had had another nightmare. After a few moments his heart settled, and his breathing slowed. His brother glanced at him, worriedly. “You o.k?” He said knowing the response he’d receive.
“Ya, I’m fine.” Sam lied. He looked at the back seat and saw his little sister curled up in a ball asleep. “How long has she been out?” he asked trying to change the subject.”
“Couple hours. Hey, you wanna drive.” Dean asked
“Dean your whole life you never asked me that, look man I know you’re worried about me, but trust me, I’m Ok!” Dean just shrugged and looked back at their sister. Wishing she would wake up. All her faults put aside, she was one hell of a talker. She could fill any awkward silence, or get any one to open up. Which is why Sam is avoiding her, Dean thought. Only 89 miles to go til Black Water Ridge, and with that thought Dean stepped on the gas.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Why are we even talking to this woman? Why don’t we just head to Black Water Ridge, and find Dad? Sam asked as they pulled up to the house of Haylie Collins.
“Maybe because we wanna know what were dealing with?!” Allie said, “And since when are you all shoot first, ask later; I thought that was Dean’s job.”
“Since now.” Sam said simply, but it brought a whole new awkward tense silence to the siblings, which Dean broke.
“Guys come on, get your game faces on, we are working here.” He said ringing the doorbell. A young brunette answered the door, tall, lender and beautiful. “You must be Haylie Collins he said, I’m Dean, and this is Sam, we are park rangers. That is Allison our newest trainee. We are here to ask a few questions about you brother, Tommy” Flashing a perfect counterfeit I.D to the girl.
“Nice car.” She said swinging the door open for them to enter. Dean smiled at her; he was going to like this girl.
“So, if your brother is not due back for a while, how do you know he’s not just having to much fun and forgot to check in?” Dean asked Haylie.
“Because he wouldn’t do that!” An angry voice answered but it was not Haylie’s. The Winchester’s turned around and saw a young boy of about 16 by the kitchen entryway.
“Of course he wouldn’t.” Allie said calmly, “We just have to be sure to ask every question so we get an idea of what happened.” Much to the boy’s dismay she turned her attention back to his sister. “Haylie could you forward the pictures Tommy sent you to me?” She said handing her a slip of paper with her email and phone number. “Don’t worry we’ll find your brother, we’re heading out to Black Water Ridge first thing in the morning.” Allie said.
“Than maybe we’ll see you there, I’m tired of waiting. Ben and I hired a guide, and we’re gonna find Tommy ourselves. We can’t just sit back and do nothing anymore.”
“I think I know how you feel.” Dean said to Haylie smiling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“We cannot let those people go into the woods.” Sam said. Allie rolled her eyes.
“What are we gonna say you can’t go find your missing brother because of there is a big scary monster lurking around Black Water Ridge?”
“Yeah, something like that!” Sam said, “And speaking of monsters, I think Allie should stay here also.”
“What!” Dean and Allie said in unison.
“Isnt it enough that you and I have to find Dad, but now we gotta babysit.” Sam said. His words cut like daggers, and Allie felt her fist ball up in anger.
“Sam, I turn 17 in two months. I have been hunting my entire life. I’m fluent in Latin, and am the only one of the Winchesters who can perform an exorcism. I have been driving for 10 months now, and can take on any man, woman, or being in a fight! And while you were at school partying, I was reading books on Demons. Studying battle techniques, and kicking some major ass. I have not been a baby in a very, very, VERY long time. There is one person here acting like a child and that person is YOU!” She said slamming the trunk, running away so her brothers could not see her tears. Dean stared at his brother, his eyes sharp with anger.
“What?” Sam said staring at his brother.
“Nothing” He said. He then threw his duffle bag at Sam, and went to go check on his sister. Sam just stood there, alone in the dark.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Allie pulled the Impala up to Park’s Entrance. Dean smiled at her parking job. He had let her drive this morning in hopes of cheering her up, and sending a message to Sam. Sam received this message loud and clear, Allie was coming. It was final. He also knew he should apologize to her. Some how he had managed to piss of the only two people left on this planet, who still cared about him. But Sam kept quiet, and said nothing. Allie grabbed her backpack, and pulled her hair back. She handed Dean his bag and picked Sam’s up. Sam reached his had to take it, but she dropped it on the ground. If Sam wants me to act childish that’s exactly what I’ll do. The three of them headed up to the other hikers. Haylie and Ben were there, and a man Allie guessed was the hired guide. “Guys got room for three more?” Allie asked looking at Ben with her flirtatious smile. His face turned a deep strawberry color. He nodded, but his sister was a little harder to please.
“You three want to come with us and your hiking up in jeans and biker boots?” She asked skeptically. Dean looked at her and smiled
“Sweet heart, I do don’t do shorts.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They seemed to be hiking for an eternity. This wasn’t Sam’s idea of a good time. Allie was talking to Ben, finding that she had a lot in common with him; both parents were basically out of the picture, both youngest of three children, and both extraordinarily close to their siblings. Oh yeah and they both were looking for a loved one. She her dad, and Him his brother. Dean was chatting up Roy, their guide, and asking him about his hunting experience. Haylie was listening intently. “So did Bambi or Yogi ever hunt you back?” Dean asked Roy who suddenly grabbed him, and jerked him back. Everybody froze. Allie felt her hand reach for her knife. “Something wrong Roy” Dean asked the ranger. Roy smiled grabbing a stick, shoving it down, into where Dean’s foot would have been a millisecond later. The hidden trap sprang to life, and snapped the stick in two.
“Watch where your going there ranger.” He said shaking his head moving on. Haylie grabbed Dean by the coat.
“Your not rangers.” she said grabbing Dean’s arm, “So who the hell are you?” Sam and Allie stopped ready to jump to their brother’s defense, but he winked at them and they carried on, jogging to catch up with Ben and Roy.
“Sam, and I are brothers. Allie is our little sister. We are looking for our father. He might be here, but we don’t know."
She stopped dead in her tracks. "Why didnt you just tell us that before?"
"Well I'm telling you know. I just figured you and I are in the same boat. Listen, telling you this now, this is probably the most honest I’ve been with a girl in……ever. So are We ok?” Hayley seemed to be struggling with something enternally.
“Yeah.” She said
“And I may not be a ranger but I still packed provisions.” He said pulling out a bag of Peanut M&Ms. They smiled at each other, and then sprinted forward to catch up with the others.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What coordinates are we at?” Allie asked Roy.
“35-111, Black Water Ridge.” He responded. The Winchesters shared a dark glance. They heard Roy call out to them and they ran over to see what was there. It was a completely demolished campsite. The tent was ripped, torn, and stained with blood, various items lay strewn over the ground. Allie found a trail, she followed it. That is odd. She thought. She called out to her brother’s who rushed over.
“Their bodies were dragged from the campsite,” indicating the miniscule tracks on the ground, “Then they just stop.” In the distance they heard someone scream for help. They all ran through the woods, followed by Roy, Haylie, and Ben. They seemed to be right where the noise came from, and found nothing unusual.
"It seemed like it was coming from around here didn’t it?" Haley said uncertain. Allie thought for a moment.
“Sonofabitch.” She said and started running back to camp. Her brothers looked at each other sighed and started after her. The others began to follow. When they got back to camp, they saw all their stuff was gone.
"Our packs?" Haley said astonished.
"So much for my GPS and my satellite phone." Rooy said.
"MY LAPTOP!" Allie said sadly. Sam stared at his sister in amazement.
"Your kidding right?" Dean hit Sam upside the head, and gave him a 'Be nice' look.
Allie was biting her lip in pure frustration, then a lightbulb turned on. "Guys I need to speak to you." She said, pulling her brothers aside all she said one word, “Wendigo.” Realization flooded her brothers’ faces. Allie sighed at her useless gun. Dean and Allie got busy creating a safe circle to repel the Wendigo. They did their best to explain to the others, but received only skepticism and rude comments from Roy. They had at least convinced all of them to stay put for the night. Allie realized Sam had not said a word since going off on Roy. She yanked Dean’s arm, and they went to go talk to Sam.
“Guys what are we doing here?” Sam suddenly asked “Dad’s not here, we were at the coordinates and we saw nothing. Why don’t we go? Let’s get these people back to town. Hit the road. Find Dad.”
“This is why,” Dean said taking out his Dad’s journal. “This book. Dad’s most valuable possession passed down to us. He wants us to pick up where he left off, saving people, hunting things. The family business. Dad’s given us a job to do, and I intend to do it”
“No, I gotta find Dad. I gotta find Jessica’s killer.” Sam said looking down fighting back his tears.
“And we will Sammy. I promise you.” Allie said hugging her brother. For the first time since Jessica’s death he didn’t push her away. “But those people need our help. They are going to loose someone who they love if we do nothing. Who knows how many more will die if we don’t finish this thing.” She said wiping his tears away. “Sam, promise me something though, you gotta find away to get that anger out, another way besides us. All it will do is alienate you from us. Me and Dean will always be here for you and always help you no matter what.”
“How do you do it?” Sam said looking as his two siblings in awe.
“Well killing evilsonsabitches is very therapeutic?” Dean said with a smile
“And this Wendigo is calling our name, now I don’t know about you, but I’m starving. Dean lemme see your Peanut M&Ms.” Allie said pulling herself up, and brushing off the dirt. Dean gave her a new bag. She opened it and greedily ate, offering a handful to Sam, which he gladly took.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Alright we got half a chance in the day light, and I for one, wanna kill this evil son of a bitch.” Sam said. Last night they had seen first hand what the Wendigo could when it had taken Roy, after he had fired at him. The Collins siblings would never be the same.
“Well hell you know I’m in.” Dean said
“First things, first what is a Wendigo?” Ben asked
“Wendigo is a Cree Indian word meaning Evil that devours. Each Wendigo was once a man, or a woman, and is hundreds of years old. It’s always the same story. During a harsh winter, the person had to result to cannibalism in order to survive. Many cultures all over the world believe that eating human flesh can give you certain abilities. If you eat enough of it you turn into this less than human monster. You’re always hungry for more.” Allie explained. She looked and saw her brother’s jaws were dropped. “What?”
“You really need a life, Al.” Dean said, laughing. She punched him in the arm.
“Enough,” Haylie said, “If all that is true how can Tommy still be alive?”
“Well more than anything a Wendigo knows how to survive a harsh winter; it will hibernate for years at a time, keeping its victims alive until it wakes up. If your brother is alive the Wendigo will have him hidden someplace dark, hidden, and safe. Now I’ve gone over the map of the area and think I’ve found where his lair may be. There is a small community of caves, and some under ground. We gotta track it back there. Wendigo’s are immune to all weapons man made. So the are invulnerable to knives and guns. They are pyrophobic, and can be destroyed by a direct conflagration.” Allie said looking at their confused faces. “We gotta torch the sucker.”
“Geek girl to the rescue.” Dean said smiling under his breath.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Allie are you sure, were going in the right direction.” Dean said. Allie really wished he wouldn’t question her, she was already doing enough of that her self. She wished she had her laptop, she could look up their location and really be sure. “Lets take a break.” He said panting. Allie pulled out her map and showed her brothers their trail. Meanwhile they heard rustling of the bushes. Dean grabbed his Allie and Sam and pulled them behind him. Again they heard it, but this time it was from behind. All the sudden they heard a branch crack and something fell from up above narrowly missing Haylie. It was Roy, or what was left of him anyway. His neck was broken, and his eyes were open wide in pure terror. Sam swallowed hard looking at the innocent they had lost. They heard the rustling again. This time a pure ugly growl followed it. “RUN!” Dean screamed. And they didn’t need to be told twice. They flew through the forest, running as fast as they could. Ben was lagging behind before he tripped and fell, Sam and Dean seeing this ran back to help him up. They started running in a vain attempt to catch their sisters who were already out of sight. Suddenly they heard a scream. Running faster they game to a clearing, but Allie and Haylie were no where to be seen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dean and Sam were in a fight. “I told you she shouldn’t have come, Dean now she’s gone.”
“Thank god she did, because without her, we may not have known what were up against. And when you find a way to tell Allie what to do and not end up six feet under let me know.”
“Well, now what are we gonna do? She had the map, and the compass Dean! How are we gonna find her?”
“We follow the trail.” Sam and Dean turned to find Ben holding up a bright blue Peanut M&M. “It’s better than bread crumbs.”
“That’s my girl.” Dean said with a smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They had followed the trail they were sure Allie had left for them, into a mining cave. Entering the cave, Sam and Dean pulled out their flashlights. They followed the tracks from the mining cart when they saw it. The Wendigo growled and stalked back to the other side of the tunnel. Ben gasped, and Sam put his hand over Ben’s mouth to keep the sound from escaping. Once it was out of sight, they continued, walking where the Wendigo had been moments before. Dean put up his hand to stop the others. “Do you here that?” he asked. Sam did here it, it was a whining creaking noise, then it was followed by a crack. The wood beneath them was going to give out. Without any chance to react the three boys fell through the floor. Slowly rising they saw Haylie and Allie tied up, their bodies limp. An electric charge seem to shoot through the boys as they ran to their sisters. Dean pulled out his knife and began cutting Allie’s bind; while Sam lightly tapped her face, shaking her slightly. Ben ran to Haylie attempting to untie her bind. A groan of pain escaped Allie’s lips, as her weight broke the damaged rope causing her to fall to the ground. “Nice one.” She said as two sets of hands pulled her up.
“You O.K?” Sam’s voice came
“Terrific.” She responded steadying her self. Dean went to go help Haylie, while
Sam checked his sister for injuries. She was beat to hell that was for sure, Sam felt his fists clench, if he didn’t want to kill that evil son of a bitch before, he sure did now. ”Where is it?” Her question was drowned out by Haylie’s scream. On the other side of the cave was their brother Tommy. Dean went over to cut him down and the other three siblings lunged into a long embrace. Allie spotted in the corner of the cave, and left Sam’s hold to investigate. She came back with a big smile on her face. She held up a pair of flare guns. “You guys thinking what I’m thinking?”
“Absolutely.” Dean said with a smile broadening his face. Sam felt his stomach lurch, he knew he wasn’t gonna like this.
“Hey, All you can eat Buffet, Right here!” Allie screamed running the one direction, flare gun in hand.
“Got your other white meat on the table, Asshole.” Dean hollered running the opposite direction. He to had a flare gun. Sam had to move fast. He motioned the Collins to follow him. They were almost out of the Cave when he heard the sound they dreaded. The Wendigo was standing between them and the exit. The Wendigo had them backed against the wall, and Dean and Allie were no where to be seen. The Wendigo moved closer and closer. Sam closed his eyes. Then heard something crack, and opened them.
“I'm no one's damsel in distress” He heard his sister say. She pulled the trigger and instantly the Wendigo burst into flames. Falling to his knees he let out another low growl, before the fire consumed him whole. “ Not bad for a baby. Huh Sam?” She said smiling at him. He rolled his eyes he was never gonna hear the end of this one.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ben had finished telling the Cops about the massive grizzly that had attacked them. Allie walked up to him and kissed him. “Why did you do that?” He asked her.
“Because I knew you wouldn’t” She said “And I really wanted to.” He looked at the girl that had saved his family’s lives. So much he wanted to say to her, so little time. She started to walk away and he grabbed her arm. He kissed her passionately; that kiss summed up every thing he wanted to say to her but couldn’t. He hoped she understood. “Your welcome.” She said smiling at him. Slowly she turned and headed to the Impala. Her brothers were waiting for her, but were completely oblivious to what had just happened. “Man I hate camping.” Allie said.
“Me too!” Dean said. He paused frowning slightly. “You both no we’re gonna find Dad right?”
“Yeah.” Said Sam. “But in the mean time I’m driving.”

This is so addicting. I swear every free second I have I put towards this story. I have promised myself I won't become a shut in. I should have more tomorrow. Enjoy!
“Can I get you anything else?” The busty waitress asked Dean, leaning over to showing a little more than her name tag. Dean’s signature smirk spread across his face, and eyes lit up.
“Just the check please.” Sam said, cutting off Dean’s inappropriate thoughts. The waitress frowned slightly, and cleared their plates. Dean groaned.
“You know Sam we are allowed to have fun once in a while…..That’s fun!” Dean said eyeing the waitress from behind.
“Dean please, I just had breakfast?” Allie said clutching her stomach with a look of disgust on her face.
“Fine! Here geek cadets take a look at this.” He said tossing the paper in front of Allie and Sam. “Last week Sophie Carlton, 18, walks into the lake, doesn’t walk out. Authorities dragged the water… Nothing. This is the third Lake Manitoc drowning this year. None of the other bodies were found either. Had the funeral two days ago. Weird, they buried an empty coffin for uh cordship or whatever”
“You mean closure.” Allie said.
“That’s what I said.” Allie rolled her eyes, and decided to let this one go.
“Closure, what closure?” Sam said, “People don’t just disappear, people just stop looking for them.”
“Oh great, one of those search for the hidden meaning statements.” Allie said. “Sammy out with it.”
“The trail for Dad, its getting colder every day.”
“Jesus not again.” Allie groaned bracing herself for another fight.
“What do you want me to do about it? You saying I don’t wanna find Dad as much
as you do, because you’re forgetting that while you were off at school Al, and I were with him every day. We will find Dad, but we are going to kill everything evil between here and there. OK?” Allie touched her brother’s shoulder in order to calm him down, she sighed.
“So Lake Manitoc. How far?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I’m sorry, why does the Wildlife Service care about an accidental drowning?” The sheriff of Lake Manitoc asked.
“You sure it was an accident; Will Carlton saw something grab his sister.” Sam said following the officer, Dean lagging behind. “Will Carlton was traumatized. Sometimes the mind plays tricks on people. We dragged that entire lake, and we even did a sonar sweep. Just to be sure and there was nothing down there. Hi how can I help you.” He said to Allie who had just entered.
“Sheriff, this is my cousin. She is doing a report for school, and is shadowing me for the week. Is it ok if she sits down and takes notes?” Allie looked at the man with her sad eyes and pursed her lips in a pleading way. The sheriff smiled and nodded, offering a chair to Allie. “O.k where were we? Right. Well That’s weird because isn’t this is the third missing body this year.” Dean said pressing the man for information.
“I know,” The sheriff said “At least all this won’t be a problem much longer.”
“What do you mean?” Dean asked.
“The dam it’s falling apart. Feds wont give us the grant do repair it. In six months there won’t be much of a lake…Hell there won’t be much of a town.”
“Sorry am I interrupting something, I can come back later?” A young woman enters the room. She is attractive petite brunette.
“Gentlemen, Miss, this is my daughter.”
“Pleasure to meet you.” Dean said with that familiar twinkle in his eye. “I’m Dean. Hi”
“Andrea Barr, Hi.” She said shaking Dean’s hand
“Hi.” He said again. A small red haired boy of about 8 appeared from behind Andrea. “Oh hey there, What’s your name?” Dean asked the boy, who looked at Dean then turned away in a hurry. Andrea looked up at the Winchesters then turned to follow the small boy.
“You sure have a way with children.” Allie said so only Dean and Sam could hear her. Dean made a mental note to torment her later.
“His name is Lucas. My grandson has been through a lot. We all have. Well if there is anything I can do for you three. Please let me know.” He said showing the Winchesters out.
“Actually would you mind pointing us in the direction of a reasonably priced motel.” Dean asked. But was not looking at the sheriff, as much he was his daughter.
“Lakefront Motel, go around the corner it’s two blocks up.”
“Would you mind showing us?” Dean asked with a smirk
“You want me to walk you two blocks?” She said with a laugh.
“If it’s not too much trouble.” He said. Sam and Allie exchanged looks, both were suppressing a groan.
“I’m heading that way anyway, I’ll be back for Lucas at three.” She said to her father. She leaned down and kissed hers son on the cheek “Well go to the Park. Ok sweetie?” She turned away and headed out the door. The Winchesters, lead by Dean, followed.
“Cute kid,” Dean said to Andrea. “Kids are the best Huh?” Allie rolled her eyes, and mouthed “I’m so sorry” to Andrea, but she just smiled
“Like I said two blocks.” She said when they reached the motel. “It must be hard…With your sense of direction…Never being able to find your way to a decent pick up line. Enjoy your stay.” She said smiling and headed down the street.
“Kids are the best? You don’t even like kids” Sam looked at Dean. He was trying to hide his smile from his brother, unlike his sister who was practically passing out from laughing so hard.
“I love kids.” Dean said defensively. Allie was laughing harder.
“Name two kids you even know.”
Dean opened his mouth, thought a moment. Sam and Allie headed towards the lobby. “What I’m thinking. Just give me a second.”
Well heres the rest of Dead in the Waterl; I really not sure about this one. Its definitely not my best. but oh well, I may come back to it after a while. Enjoy!
“So what do you think? Lake monster on the loose?” Dean asked
“This whole lake monster thing, I dunnno man it just bugs me. Lockness, Lake Champlain, over hundreds of eye witnesses. And here there’s nothing.” Sam said. Then he turned to his sister her eyes glued to the laptop.
“Are we boring you dearest sister.” Dean said heading over read what had grabbed his sister’s attention.
“Well as usual Sam is wrong. Christopher Barr, the victim in May, was Andrea’s husband, and Lucas’s father. Apparently he took Lucas out swimming. Lucas was on a floating wooden platform when his father drowned. It was over two hours before the kid got rescued. Looks like we may have an eye witness after all.”
Dean shook his head, “No wonder that kid was so freaked out, seeing one of your parents get killed; that’s not something you just get over. Lets go talk to him.”
“Wait…Your coming?” Allie said shocked.
“Of course. Why wouldn’t I?” Dean said raising his eyebrows
“Well, um Dean, you kinda erm.” Sam started then looked to his sister for help.
“Dean everyone knows you’re a bad son of a bitch, and can kick some ass. But we need someone who is nurturing, and sensitive. Someone Lucas will respond to.”
“I’m sensitive, I’m super sensitive. Who is more sensitive than me? Now get your scrawny asses down to the car, so we can get some freaking answers.” Dean said grabbing his coat.
“Oh yeah,” Allie said rolling her eyes, “Your super sensitive alright.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Mind if we join you?” Sam asked. Andrea looked up
“Im here with my son.” She said
“Oh, Mind if I say hi.” Dean said, and without waiting for a response he headed
over toward Lucas, who unlike the other children playing and laughing, sat alone drawing.
“Tell your friend this whole Jerry Maguire thing isn’t gonna work on me.”
“I don’t think it’s about that.” Allie said. For the moment the three of them stood in silence at the two boys. After a few moments they saw Dean rise and head back towards them.
“Lucas hasn’t said a word, not even to me. Not since…. I wish you could of seen him before. He was hard to keep up with. He had such life. Hey sweetie.” She said as her son approached them. Lucas handed Dean a picture and headed back to his corner.
“Thanks Lucas.” Dean called out eyeing the picture. The three Winchesters gathered round the picture and sighed. They all were hoping for a different kind of answer from Lucas.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Andrea said the kid never drew like that until after his dad died.” Dean said while stepping on the gas of the Impala.
“There are theories that say going through traumatic experiences makes people more likely to premonitions, psychic tendencies. Maybe whatever is out there, Lucas is some how tapping into it. He’s been trying to communicate through the pictures.” Allie said eyeing the new lead they had received.
“I think we got a house to find.” Sam said.
“Oh college boy thinks he’s sooo smart.” Dean said causing Allie to giggle. Sam smiled too.
“Ya, know what you said about mom? You never told me that before.” Sam said.
“It’s no big deal.” Sam still stared at him. Allie had stopped giggling. The tension made Dean twitch in discomfort. “ Oh man we aren’t gonna have to hug or anything. Are we?” Dean said. Instantly the tension was lifted Allie rolled her eyes.
“I’m really started to get sick of this macho man bull crap. We have seen your true colors Dean, you really are sensitive.”
“I’m still a bad ass though. Right?”
“Damn strait.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So little boy Peter Sweeny vanishes, and this is all connected to Bill Carlton somehow? So maybe Bill did something to Peter?” Allie said after they had interviewed Peter’s mom.
“What if Bill killed him?” Sam added.
“And his spirit’s out for revenge. He is gonna go after Bill’s loved ones to make him feel the same pain his mom went through.” Dean said.
“And then go after Bill himself.” Allie concluded. “Dean drive faster!”
When they pulled up to the house, Allie jumped out of the car before Dean had even stopped it. Sam then saw what she saw, and took off after her. Bill Carlton was pulling his boat out onto the lake.
“Mr. Carlton! Please Come Back!” Allie Screamed. “Its REALLY IMPORTANT!” Bill had turned his head to look at the girl, but kept going. Allie saw tears in his eyes. Without thinking Allie dove in the water, and began swimming out towards him. All the sudden the engine gave out. And the boat exploded. Allie ducked back in the water just in time. The blast missed her completely. She came up and swam towards the wreckage, in attempt to save Mr. Carlton, but when she reached the wreckage she saw no body. She ducked down again, and swam to the bottom, nothing. She swam back up, upset at her failed attempts. Then for the first time became aware of her brothers’ screams.
“ALLISON MARIE WINCHESTER YOU GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE NOW!” She heard Dean yell. With a sigh of failure she started back towards the dock.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Sam, Dean, Allie. What are you-? Allie what happened? Why are you all wet?” Andrea said as her father ushered the three Winchesters into the station. Allie was wrapped in a towel and a blanket. It wasn’t until after she got out of the water she realized how cold she was. “Dad I heard about Bill Carlton. Is it true, Is something going on with the lake?” She asked.
“I don’t know sweetie, but I think it would be best if you and Lucas went on home. I’ll call you as soon as I have answers.” But Lucas didn’t like that idea. He ran straight to Dean, tugging on his arm, eyes wide with fear.
“Lucas, Its ok. Its gonna be ok. Everything is gonna be fine.” Dean assured Lucas. Andrea then ushered her son out of the station. Lucas looked back at Dean one last time, before leaving with his mom.
“Ok, here are your two options,” the sheriff said after his daughter and grandson were out of his line of sight, “I can arrest you two for impersonating an officer, and trespassing on private property, and hold your cousin here as a material witness to Bill’s disappearance, or we can chalk this up to a bad day, you can get in your car, put this town in your rearview mirror and never darken my door step again. Decision time. What’s it gonna be?”
“Door number two sounds good.” Sam said
“Yep, a really bad day!” Allie added.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Dean this job, I think its over!” Sam said. Dean had turned the car around as they had reached the interstate.
“I’m not so sure.” Dean said.
“If Bill murdered Peter Sweeny, and his spirit got its revenge. Case closed. The spirit should be at rest. Why would you think this job isn’t done?” Sam asked.
“Because Lucas was really scared.” Dean said simply. “And I’m not leaving this town until I know this kid is ok.” Dean said as they pulled up to Andrea’s house.
“Super sensitive alright.” She said as she reached for the door bell. But she didn’t have to even ring it. The door opened widely and a very scared Lucas stood there, then in a flash he was gone, running as fast as he could. The Winchesters followed him, and when they reached a closed door, Sam and Dean kicked the door down. It was the bathroom, and inside the tub was overflowing, and there was Andrea thrashing about a chance to breathe. Allie grabbed Lucas and held him close while her brothers began fighting the spirit for Andrea. Sam pulled the plug, but no water escaped down the drain. Dean was trying to pry Andrea away from the water, but to no avail. Sam joined his brother and when both used all their strength and they were able to pull Andrea from the tub. All three of them were breathing hard gasping for air.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Who are you?” The sheriff said his gun pointed ate the Winchesters.
“Put the gun down, sir.” Allie said moving in front of her brothers. She had a feeling he would be less likely shoot her than her brothers.
“You can’t bury the truth Jake.” Dean’s voice came. “Nothing stays buried.”
“Dad!” Andrea’s voice came, as she ran up to her father.
“You and Bill killed Peter 35 years ago. Drowned him in the lake and buried his bike. Well now you got a seriously pissed of spirit on your hands.” Dean added.
“He will take Andrea, Lucas, everyone you love, and then he’ll take you. Just like he did to Bill Carlton.”
“Your Crazy!” Jake said defensively.
“Quite possibly, but you know we are right too. We need to know where you and Bill buried Peter. So we can salt and burn it, sending this ghost back to hell.” Allie said calmly. “Tell me you buried him, Jake. Tell me you just didn’t let his body sink to the bottom of the lake.” The sheriff looked down, and sighed.
“Oh my god.” Andrea said trying to grasp this new information she had received.
“Listen to me, all of you. We need to get you away from this lake, as far as we can.” Dean said.
“Andrea, where’s Lucas?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The three Winchesters ripped through the forest. Andrea and her father followed. Sam and Dean dove into the water. Allie turned to Andrea and Jake.
“Andrea we are gonna go get him. You need to stay here. We are gonna find him.” She said to the panic stricken mother. Jake took of his jacket. Allie stopped him.
“Haven’t you done enough already?” She said staring at him with much dislike. She dived in and began joining her brothers in the search.
“Yes.” Jake answered quietly, “I have.” He waded into the lake. “Peter, If you can hear me. I’m sorry. But Lucas, He’s just a little boy. Please. Take me.”
“Jake NO!” Allie screamed, starting towards him.
“Just let it be over.” He whispered, before he was pulled down. He didn’t try to fight it or scream. He just looked at his daughter with tears in of his eyes of regret and sorrow. Allie had reached just missed him. She gasped, and dove down again. Sam was waiting for her, when she returned. She sighed and shook her head. Andrea’s cries became louder, she looked as if she had lost hope. Then Dean resurfaced, with Lucas. Both gasped, taking in the much needed air.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Allie had packed their things and loaded them in the Impala. She slammed the door, obviously upset. Sam came behind her and gave her a hug. “We can’t save everyone, Allie.” He said.
“I know,” She said, “It just sucks.” Dean had taken the keys from Allie and the Winchesters all piled into the Impala, when they heard a voice calling them. They turned and saw Andrea, Lucas, and a plate of sandwiches. Slowly they got out of the car, and headed towards them.
“Glad we caught, you. We made you lunch for the road. Lucas insisted on making the sandwiches himself.”
“Can I give it to them now?” Lucas asked looking at his mom. Dean smiled widely and had a look on his face that screamed out “I knew it.”
“Come on Lucas; let’s load this in the car.” Dean said taking the tray from the small boy. Allie grabbed the boys hand and they followed her older brother to the car; leaving Sam to comfort his mother.
“Now that your going to be talking again, this is a very important phrase so I want you to repeat it back to us one more time.” Dean said.
“Led Zepplin Rules!” Lucas said.
“That’s right, now you take care of your mom ok?” Lucas nodded. Allie gave him a hug.
“I’m gonna miss you!” She said, causing the boy to blush.
Andrea came over and gently pressed her lips against Dean’s. “Thank you!” she said.
“Sam move your ass. We’re gonna run out of daylight before we hit the road.” With a few slamming of doors, and a rev of the Impala’s engine the Winchesters were off; leaving a trail of dust behind them.
Hey i love weekends. No school, no teachers, and no interruptions on my story...I got the whole next eppy done. I rather like this one! Enjoy!
The door opened, and with it so did Dean’s eyes. His hand reached under his pillow and he felt the cold steel of his knife he clutched it in his hand. The door slammed and Dean looked up.
“Morning sunshine.” His brother’s voice greeted him perkily. Overly perky if you were to ask Dean. He was carrying a greased stained bag, and had three huge cups of coffee.
“Ugh What time is it?” Dean asked his brother putting his head in his pillow to avoid the light.
“Its about 5:45.”
“In the morning. Did you get any sleep last night?”
“Yeah, I grabbed a couple hours.”
“Liar, I was up at three, and you were watching the George Forman Infomercial.”
“Hey what can I say, Its riveting TV. Allie its time to wake up.” He said sitting on her bed. She didn’t stir. “Allie, seriously.” She made no motion, and she gave no inclination that she had actually heard Sam. He shook her lightly. Finally she moved. She opened one eye.
“Are you two dead, dying, or have you found dad?” She said groggily.
“No-” Sam started. She closed her eye and collapsed down on her bed again. Dean took a cup of coffee and placed it directly under her nose. When she breathed in the aroma, she reached for the cup, slowly rising.
“I hate you.” She said sipping the coffee.
“Well we just adore you.” Dean said throwing a pillow at her which she let hit her.
“How am I supposed to ever catch up to you two in height if you insist of depriving me of sleep during my peak growing years? Sammy did you get any sleep last night you look like a bag of crap.”
“Thanks” Sam said “I love you too.”
“No seriously dude, you still having nightmares about Jessica.” Dean said, eyes wide with concern. Sam sighed.
“Yeah, but its not just her. It’s everything. I just forgot, this job, you know, it gets to you.” Allie nodded
“Well, you cant let it. You cant bring it home like that.” Dean said taking another sip of coffee.
“So, you’re never afraid? This job never keeps you up at night?” Sam asked.
“No. Not really” Dean said. Sam looked at his brother in admiration, but Allie rolled her eyes, and reached under Dean’s pillow, pulling out his giant knife. She stared at the knife, than glanced at Dean, eyebrows raised.
“That is not fear. That is precaution.” He said taking his knife back from his sister. She reached for a donut and sighed.
“Whatever, I’m too tired to argue.” She said taking a bite. Dean’s phone rang. When he finished talking he looked at Sam and Allie with a smile, “Time for work kiddos.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Thanks for making the trip so quick. I should be doing you guys a favor not the other way around. Allie, Dean and your dad really helped me out.” Jerry said
“Yeah. Allie told me. A poltergeist?” Sam said
“Damn right it was a poltergeist, damn thing nearly tore our house apart. If it wasn’t for you two, and your dad, I wouldn’t be alive today.
“Always glad to know our work is appreciated. So what have you got for us this time?” Allie said as the entered Jerry’s office. They sat down. Jerry cleared his throat before he started explaining.
“There was a plane, it took off from here, crashed about 200 miles south, and they are saying mechanical failure. Cabin depressurized, no body knows why. Over a hundred people on board, only 7 survived. When I heard this tape I figured it might be your kind of gig.” He said pressing play. At first, there is lots of static and indistinct talking as the plane begins to descend. Moments later, there is the sound of a demonic hiss. The CD stops and left everyone in the room with goose bumps. Allie shivered involuntarily. She looked up at her brothers; they all knew that this was their kind of gig.
“We are going to need passenger manifests, a list of survivors, and a look at the wreckage.” Sam said once the tape had stopped.
“No problem.” Jerry said. The three Winchesters looked at each other in amazement; this wasn’t their normal response at all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So there is definitely EMF on the cockpit voice recorder.” Allie said pressing play. The very low voice whispered the words “No survivors.”
“What the hell does that mean? There were seven survivors.” Den said his face twisted in deep thought.
“I don’t know” Allie said. “ So, what are you thinkin’? A haunted flight?”
Sam shrugged “There’s a long history of spirits and death omens on planes and ships, like phantom travelers. Remember Flight 401?” Dean nodded
“Right—the one that crashed, then the airline salvaged some of its parts, put it in other planes, then the spirit of the pilot and co-pilot haunted those flights. Maybe we’ve got a similar deal. All right, so, survivors—which one do you wanna talk to first? Dean asked checking the list over. Allie looked over his shoulder and pointed to a name
“Third on the list—Max Jaffey. For one, he’s from around here. And two, if anyone saw anything weird, he did.
“What makes you say that?” Sam asked intrigued.
“Well I talked to his mother and she told me where to find him.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So Geek girl what do we have?” Dean asked his sister who was looking under the microscope, at the sample her two brothers had taken from the plane’s emergency exit hatch.
“Sulfur.” She said finally, looking up at them thoughtfully. “And you know, not many things leave behind a sulfuric residue.”
“Demonic Possession?” Dean said.
“Yup.” She said smiling. Possession was her specialty. Besides her father, she was the only one who knew how to perform an exorcism, in the family.
“Sure explains how a mortal man would have the strength to open up an emergency hatch.” Sam said.
“Yeah, but this goes way beyond floatin’ over a bed or barfin’ pea soup. I mean, it’s one thing to possess a person, but to use ‘em to take down an entire airplane. You ever heard of somethin’ like this before?” Dean asked his siblings. Sam shook his head but his sister thought for a moment.
“So, every religion in every world culture has the concept of demons and demonic possession, right? I mean, Christian, Native American, Hindu—you name it. Well according to Japanese beliefs, certain demons are behind certain disasters, both natural and man-made.” She said after a moment. Both brothers stared at her in disbelief.
“And to think, I thought Sam was the smart one.” Dean said laughing. “Allie you really need to get a life. All right, so, what? We've got a demon that’s evolved with the times and found a way to ratchet up the body count?” She shrugged
“Maybe.” She said. Just then the Dean’s phone rang.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“All right, so, that’s two plane crashes involving Chuck Lambert. This demon sounds like it was after him.” Dean said after they got back from Nazereth. They had found more traces of sulfuric residue. Sam shook his head.
“If that was the case, this would be the good news.” Sam said with a sigh
“Its not good news” Dean asked frowning slightly
“Well see for your self. Chuck’s plane went down exactly forty minutes into flight.
And get this—so did Flight 2485.” Allie said with a sigh. Sam also looked depressed. Dean was confused.
“Forty minutes? What does that mean? Am I missing something here?” Dean asked.
“It’s biblical numerology. On Noah’s Ark, it rained for forty days. The number means death.” Allie explained. Dean rolled his eyes
“I have the two biggest losers fro siblings.” He said chuckling to himself. Allie shot him a dirty look daring him to say another word. She nodded to Sam who continued explaining.
“ I went back, and there have been six plane crashes over the last decade that all went down exactly forty minutes in, and guess what until Flight 2485 no one lived to tell about the crash—remember what the EVP said?”
“No survivors” Allie whispered in awe.
“It’s goin’ after all the survivors. It’s tryin’ to finish the job” Dean finished his brother and sisters thought.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Amanda Walkers plane boards in thirty minutes” Allie said checking her watch. Dean had just failed at conning Amanda off the plane. She groaned what were they going to do?
“Ok. Plan B. We’re getting on that plane. Allie you can perform an exorcism. Right?” Sam said and his sister nodded. But Dean suddenly turned a whole new shade of white.
“Now, Just hold on a second.”
“Dean, that plane is leaving with over a hundred passengers on board, and if we’re right, that plane is gonna crash. We’re getting on the plane, we need to find that demon, so Allie can send it back to hell.. Look, I’ll get the tickets. You just go and get whatever you out of the trunk, whatever can will make it through security. Meet me back here in five minutes.” Sam said. Dean however doesn’t move.
“Dean are you ok?” His sister asked him.
“No not really.” Dean says hesitantly. “I kind of have this problem with uh…erm.”
“Flying?” Allie asked.
“It’s never really been an issue until now.” Dean whispered.
“You’re joking right?” Sam asked laughing weakly. Dean looked panic stricken “Uh
ok We’ll go, Allie and I can do this on our own.” Allie’s eyes got big and round but she said nothing. Dean wouldn’t hear of it.
“What are you, nuts? You said it yourself, the plane’s gonna crash.”
“Look Dean, I’m all for understanding your fears, like you do mine, but we either do this on our own or you suck up your fears and do it with us. I’m not seeing a third option here.” Allie said to her brother. He sighs, defeated.
“Come on…Really. Man.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Are you humming Metallica?” Allie asked her brother who was clutching his seat with a death grip.
“It calms me down.” He said breathing hard.
“Just relax.” Sam’s voice said calmly as the plane took off. Dean’s hands were
already numb from gripping his armrests so hard.
“Just shut up,” He said. His sister’s laugh calmed him some, but made him furious, “Shut up Allie. Unless you want Sam to know your greatest fear.” That shut her up. She glared at him, but said nothing. Sam had heard him and began giving Allie the third degree.
“What are you afraid of Allie?” He asked. “Come on, in cant be worse than flying.” She ignored him.
“We have more pressing issues at hand Sam. I mean, we’ve got thirty-two minutes and counting to track this thing down, or whoever it’s possessing, anyway, and perform a full-on exorcism.” Allie told her brother. “Now normally a demon will possess somebody with some sort of weakness, you know, a chink in the armor that the demon can worm through—somebody with an addiction or some sort of emotional distress.”
Sam nodded “Well, this is Amanda’s first flight after the crash. If I were her, I’d be pretty messed up.” He said. His siblings agreed and Dean got up to check her emotional state. “Wait Dean what if she is already possessed?” Sam asked his brother, grabbing his arm before he left.
“If she is possessed she will flinch at the name of god. As long as Dean says it in Latin.” Allie told her brothers. Then a thought had hit Allie. “Cristo,” she whispered. “That’s gods name in Latin.” She said.
“Dude, Allie, I know, I’m not an idiot.” He said stalking back to the other end of the plane. Sam looked at his sister, she sighed with relief, and they sat in silence for a few moments.
“So,” Sam said, “What are you afraid of?” Allie smacked his head. Sam sighed defeated, and he and his sister waited in silence for her brother to return. When he did they saw the look of frustsration in his eyes.
“All right, well, she’s got to be the most well-adjusted person on the planet. There’s no demon in her. There’s no demon getting in her.” He said as the plane began to rumble and shake wildly with turbulence. “Come on that can’t be normal.” Dean said panic stricken.
“Hey. Hey.” Sam whispered soothingly, “It’s just a little turbulence.”
“Sam, this plane is going to crash, okay? So quit treatin’ me like I’m friggin’ four!” Dean said angrily.
“You need to calm down.” His sister said calmly, but had a stern feel to it, which Dean resented.
“Well, I’m sorry I can’t.” Dean whispered angrily. Sam reached for his brother’s shoulder.
“Yes you can.” He said supportively.
“Dude, stow the touchy-feely, self-help yoga crap, it’s not helping.” Dean said bitterly.
“Listen, if you’re panicked, you’re wide open to demonic possession, so you need to calm yourself down right now.” Allie ordered. This new bit of information hit dean hard and paused in thought before letting out a long even breath. His breath steadied. “Good boy.” Allie said to her brother patting him on the head. “Now, I’ve found the exorcism, I’m going to perform. The ritual Romano. Its actually two parts. The first part expels the demon from the victim’s body. It makes it manifest, which actually makes it more powerful. The demon doesn’t have to posses anyone, it can reek havoc on its own.”
“Which is a good thing because?” Dean asked exasperated.
“The second part sends the bastard back to hell.” She said with a smile. “But first things first, You two have to find him.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“She’s not gonna believe this.” Sam said to his siblings. They had just found out that the copilot was possessed. Allie was staring at her watch.
“Twelve minutes, Guys.” She said exasperatedly. They entered the curtained section of the plane where Amanda stood organizing meal trays.
“Oh, hi. Flight’s not too bumpy for you, I hope.” She said with smile.
“Actually, that’s kind of what we need to talk to you about.” Dean said closing the curtain. “All right, this is gonna sound nuts, but we just don’t have time for the whole “The truth is out there” speech right now. Look, we know you were on Flight 2485.”
“Who are you guys?” Amanda said looking frightened.
“ We’ve spoken to some of the other survivors. We know something brought down that plane, and it wasn’t mechanical failure. And we need your help because we need to stop it from happening again, here, now.”
“ I-I’m sorry, I’m very busy.” Amanda said and tries to leave but Dean stands in her way. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a second. I’m not gonna hurt you, okay? But listen to me—the pilot from 2485, Chuck Lambert—he’s dead. He died in a plane crash. Now, that’s two plane crashes in two months. That doesn’t strike you as strange?” Look, there was something wrong with 2485. Now, maybe you sensed it, and maybe you didn’t, but there’s something wrong with this flight, too.” Amanda turned a whole new shade of pale. She looked as if she might faint with this new information she had received. She waited a moment before regaining her composure.
“But I don’t understand. What are you asking me to do?” She said. The Winchesters looked at eachother in relief that for once they were believed.
“Get the co-pilot. We need you to bring him back here.” Dean said Amanda looked at them in bewilderment and confusion. “We don’t have time to explain. We just need to talk to him, okay?” The three Winchesters looked at her expectantly. She nodded
“Okay.”
She heads out the curtain, and the Winchesters prepare themselves. Allie pulls out the holy water and hands it to her brothers. She open’s her father’s journal to the page of the exorcism. A few moments later Amanda returns with the co-pilot. Immediately Dean punches him and throws him down on the floor. Sam covers his mouth with duct tape, which completely stifles his scream as Allie pours Holy water on him. Holes begin to burn and sizzle through his clothing and skin. He begins to jerk and thrash about.
“Oh my god, What’s wrong with him?” Amanda screamed. As her brothers continue restraining the co-pilot, Allie turned to Amanda.
“I need you to remain calm, okay? Go outside the curtain, and don’t let anyone else in. He will be fine. I promise.” Amanda nods her head and turns to exit the curtain. Allie turns he attention back to the possessed man.
“Hurry up Allie! I don’t know how much longer we can hold him!” Sam screamed. And with that Allie bowed her head and began the Exorcism. With Her rosary beads placed on the demon, she begins reciting the Latin phrases. With each phrase she says the demon gets stronger. Both her brothers hold them down with all their strength, as the demon attempts to attack their sister. The co-pilot suddenly throws Dean against the wall, and rips the duct tape off his mouth and turns to Sam, grabbing his shirt, he says,
“I know what happened to your girlfriend! She must have died screaming! Even now, she’s burning!” Sam momentarily lets go of the demon with the shock of his statement. The demon used this as his opportunity and lunged at Allie who was still nearly finished with the first part of the exorcism. He grabbed her by the throat and began choking her, so no words could escape her mouth. Dean ran over and tried pull the man off his sister. Sam was still standing there, in shock.
“Sam!” He heard his brother yell his name which brought him back to reality. He saw his sister lying on the ground near death, being choked by the man he was holding. Deep guilt ran through Sam, as he ran over to his brother, helping him pull the man off his sister.
“I got him.” He said, watching life flood back into his sister’s face. As she gasped for air words escaped her lips. The co-pilot began screaming. Allie watches her strong brothers struggle to hold him down. He kicks the journal into the aisle of the plane. He opens his mouth and the demon leaves his body in a haze of black mist, which seeps into the air vent. The co-pilot lies there on the floor, motionless. Dean and Sam are thrown against the wall. Allie runs in search of the journal but is pushed to the floor. She hears her Dean’s panicked screams, as the plane begins to dive. Allie begins crawling for the journal. Sam gets up in order to help Allie, but is knocked out by a giant suit case. Dean makes no attempt to help either of his siblings, his eyes are close, and body is shaking in fear. Papers and other objects are flying everywhere, passengers are shouting in panic. In the midst of all the chaos, Allie reaches the journal. Grabbing it, she quickly turns to the correct page, and Shouts out the last part of the exorcism at the top of her lungs. Suddenly there is a flash of a bright white light. The plane steadies itself, and a calm spreads over the plane. Sam wakes up and goes over to Dean, who in the corner, has his eyes closed, and is whimpering. They enter the aisle from behind the curtain, helping their sister up. She breathes heavily, and is pulled into a long embrace by her brothers. She sighs, exhausted.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Lets get out of here.” Dean said Allie nodded. She was beat to hell, and a huge bruise was beginning to form around her neck. She just wanted to crawl in bed and sleep for a decade. She saw Sam looking out the window. She looked at Dean for help. “Sam, these things—they read minds. They lie, all right? That’s all it was.” Dean told his brother. Sam didn’t look convinced “Yeah.” Was all he said. Allie swallowed hard and turn to her brother, she couldn’t believe what she was about to do.
“Clowns. She said. “I’m afraid of clowns.” Sam looked at her a moment before busting out laughing. Soon Dean followed. She hit both of them hard. “Assholes.” She said before heading out the door; leaving both her brothers in a fit of hysteria.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Nobody knows what you guys did, but I do. A lot of people could have been killed. Your dad’s gonna be real proud.” Jerry said shaking each of their hands. He heads back into the building. Dean calls out to him, and he turns.
“You know Jerry, I’ve been meaning to ask you… How did you get my number I only had it for a few months.” He asked
“Your dad gave it to me.” Jerry said to them. The Winchesters exchange looks. Each had a hopeful look on their face.
“When did you talk to him?” Allie asked earnestly.
Jerry frowned. “Well, I didn’t exactly talk to him, but I called his number, and his voice message said to give you a call. Anyway thanks again.” The Winchesters nodded as their friend went back into the building. Dean whipped out his cell, motioning to his siblings to gather round. Sam looked at his siblings and shook his head.
“This doesn’t make any sense, man. I’ve called Dad’s number, like, fifty times. It’s been out of service.” He said sitting on the other side of Dean as his sister, as he called their father. The sound they had been waiting for months to hear, as their fathers greeting played.
“This is John Winchester. I can’t be reached. If this is an emergency, call my son, Dean at 866-907-3235. He can help.” There was a beep, and Dean hung up the phone. All three got into the car silently, as they drove away.
I know someone else had on this website had a similar story, in which Sam and Dean’s sister was afraid of clowns; Mine however has been planned like this long before I read that story. I have another reason behind this, which you all will find out eventually. However I just wanted that author to know I am not copying them. If they have a problem with this story please let me know.

Sam felt something dripped down onto his forehead, he ignored it; then it happened again. He looked up to find Jessica pinned to the ceiling, eyes blank and lifeless. “Hi Sammy.” She said before bursting into flames.
“No! NO JESSICA!” He screamed.
“Why Sammy?” She whispered. “Sam!”
Sam Winchester awoke with a start. He felt his sisters tough gently shaking him, she let go as his eyes opened wide. “Another nightmare?” She asked trying to hide the worry in her voice.
“Hey at least I got some sleep.” He said cracking a smile. His brother and sister weren’t convinced.
“Sooner or later we are gonna have to talk about this.” Dean said to his little brother.
“So are we already here?” Sam asked looking around.
“Yep, welcome to Toledo, Ohio.”
“What do you guys really think happened to this guy? No official cause of death, eyes liquefied, and no signs of attack.” Allie asked her brothers.
“That’s what we are going to find out.” Dean said. The three got out of the car, and headed inside the house. They walk over to the two daughters and two of their friends. One of the Girls Lily looked about 11, and the rest, Jill, Donna, and Charlie, were around Allie’s age. “You must be Donna.” Dean said looking somber “I’m Dean, this is Sam and Allie. We’re terribly sorry for your loss.” Donna swallowed hard, and nodded her head. Allie knew she wouldn’t want to talk, but Dean kept going. “Yeah, this whole thing. I mean a stroke. I don’t remember him having any symptoms. Do you?” Dean gently pressed. Donna shook her head, but her sister spoke up.
“That’s because it wasn’t a stroke. It happened because of me.” Her little sister said.
“Lily don’t say that.” Her sister said
“It is right before he died, I-I said it. Bloody Mary, Three times in the bathroom mirror.”
“Sweetie, that doesn’t mean-” Donna’s friend started.
“She took his eyes; that’s what she does. How do you explain that?” Allie got down on her knee in order to be eye level with the girl.
“Your sister is right. Accidents happen, its not your fault. Bloody Mary, couldn’t have killed your dad, because he didn’t say her name? Did he?”
“No.” Lily said looking somewhat relieved.
~~~
Sam, Dean and Allie, went upstairs to where the police report said Donna had found her father. The EMF meter had not given the slightest tick, giving the notion that it was not a spirit they were dealing with. “The Bloody Mary Legend- Dad ever find any evidence that it was the real thing.” Sam asked examining the mirror. His siblings shook their heads.
“Not that I know of? But what gets me is all around the country kids play this game and so far no one has died that we know of. And when it finally happens, the person who dies didn’t say it.” Allie said.
“Still, the guy did die right in front of the mirror, and the daughter’s right. The way the legend goes, “you know who” scratches your eyes out. It’s worth checking into.” Dean said shrugging. They hear someone coming and quickly go out into the hall trying not to look suspicious and failing.
“What are you doing up here?” The girl from downstairs asked. This was Charlie.
“We had to go to the bathroom.” Dean said innocently.
“All three of you? Who are you? And all those weird questions downstairs, what was that? So you tell me what’s going on, or I start screaming.” She said eying the brothers with much distrust. Allie decided to use an uncommon method among the Winchesters. The truth.
“All right, all right. We think something happened to Donna’s dad.” Allie told Charlie.
“Yeah a stroke.”
“That’s not the sign of a typical stroke. We think it might be something else.” Allie reasoned. She thought the selective truth was the best method, as the whole would wind her up in a psych ward.
“Like what?” Charlie said intrigued.
“Honestly? We don’t know yet. But we don’t want it to happen to anyone else. That’s the truth. So if your gonna scream, go right on ahead, because I am one scrappy fighter.” Allie said causing Charlie to laugh. She looked at Sam and Dean, still unsure.
“Are they your bodyguards?” She asked Allie.
“Worse, brothers.” Charlie and Allie laughed. Allie pulled out a pad and paper and wrote down her number handing it to Charlie. “Here, If you think of anything, you or your friends notice anything strange, out of the ordinary…just give us a call.” She motioned to her brothers to follow her as they headed for the car.
~~~
Sam felt something dripped down onto his forehead, he ignored it; then it happened again. He looked up to find Jessica pinned to the ceiling, eyes blank and lifeless.
“Why Sammy?” She whispered before bursting into flames. Sam woke up in a pool of sweat, he is breathing heavy. Dean and Allie are staring at him; he sees the books laid out everywhere, and piles of paper askew. He knows they have been working. “Why did you let me fall asleep?”
“Cause I’m an awesome big brother.” Dean said tossing his pen at him. Allie walked over to Sam and felt his forehead, he jerked away from her touch.
“So what did you dream about?” Allie asked worriedly.
“Lollipops and candy canes.”
“Yeah sure.” Dean said sarcastically.
“Did you find anything?” Sam asked effectively changing the subject.
“Oh besides a whole new level of frustration? No. I’ve looked at everything. A few local women, a Laura and a Catherine committed suicide in front of a mirror, and a giant mirror fell on a guy named Dave, but uh, no Mary. I’ve also been searching for strange deaths in the area, you know…eyeball bleeding, that sort of thing. There’s nothing. Whatever’s happening here, Maybe it just aint Mary?” Allie suggested.
“Wait, if you did all that,” Sam said looking at Dean. “What the hell have you been doing?” He asked accusingly.
“Watching you sleep. God you’re so dreamy!” Dean said batting his eyelashes. Sam hit Dean upside the head. Dean in return tackled Sam. The two brothers began wrestling. Allie rolled her eyes
“Boys” Just then her cell phone rang. She reached for it kicking both her brothers, until they shut up. “Hello?” She said, suddenly concern floods her face.
~~~
“And they found her on the bathroom floor. And her—her eyes. They were gone.” Charlie said between tears. The four of them were in the park. Allie sat next to Charlie, and her brothers stood behind her. “And she said it.” She said after a moment. Dean and Sam shared a glance. Charlie stops a moment to dry her eyes with the tissue Allie gave her. “I heard her say it. But it couldn’t be because of that. I’m insane, right?”
“No.” Allie said soothingly. “You’re not insane.”
“God, That makes me feel so much worse.” Charlie said, and Allie smiles weakly, patting the girl on the shoulder.
“Look. We think something’s happening here. Something that can’t be explained. And we are gonna try and stop it.” Allie said.
“But we could use your help.” Dean added. Charlie looked up and nodded. She did not want this to happen again.
~~~
Dean picks his sister up hoisting her in the air, as she reaches for the window’s ledge. She reaches it, and feels Charlie’s hand help her in. She leans back down and reaches for her brothers, and with slight difficulty pulls them inside the window. She looks at Charlie.
“What did you tell Jill’s mom?” She asked.
“That I needed some time alone with Jill’s pictures and things; I hate lying to her.” Charlie said bowing her head. Dean pulled his camera out of his bag, and looked to Charlie.
“Trust us its for the greater good.” And with that the Winchester’s went to work. Allie takes the EMF over the room, finding a whole lot of nothing, and Dean is using the black light for something left behind. Sam is in the bathroom filming around the mirror when he stops and sees trickles of something running out from behind the mirror. Sam carries the mirror out to Jill’s bed and lays it on the bed upside down. He holds his hand out toward Dean expectantly, and Dean throws him the black light. Sam peels off the brown paper that is on the back of the mirror. Sam shines the black light over the back of the mirror and we see a handprint, and the words “Gary Bryman.”
“Do you know who that is?” Allie asked Charlie, hopefully. Charlie shakes her head, and Allie groans at the idea of more research.

Dean, Charlie and Sam are waiting outside the town library. Allie comes out, and heads over toward them.
“Gary Bryman was an 8-year-old boy. Two years ago he was killed in a hit and run. The car was described as a black Toyota Camry. But nobody got the plates or saw the driver.”
“Oh my god, Jill drove that car!” Charlie gasped at this new information she had received.
“We need to get back to your friend Donna’s house.”
~~~
Sam and Dean are hunched over the back of the mirror with a black light. There is a handprint on it, and the words “Linda Shoemaker”. Allie looks at Charlie, and they head downstairs to talk to Donna.
“Why are you asking me this?” Donna asked.
“Listen I’m sorry, but it really is important.” Allie said earnestly.
“Yeah. Linda’s my mom okay? She overdosed on sleeping pills, it was an accident, and that’s it. I think you should leave.”
“Donna, listen to me-” Allie said calmly,
“GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!” She screamed running up the stairs.
~~~
Allie is lying is bed, asleep. Dean pulls her laptop out from her book bag. He turns it on, and begins typing away. Sam comes in, and stands behind Dean.
“Your doing a nation wide search?” Sam asked “If the spirit of Mary is haunting the town, shouldn’t she have died in the town.”
“Allie did the whole local thing, she spent all night on the thing, Nothing. So if you got a better idea-”
“So why isn’t Allie doing the research.” Sam asked
“Well, I didn’t want to wake her.” Dean said shrugging.
“She barely gets enough sleep as is, you know a teenager with homework, and stuff. You add hunting into the equation-.” Sam said agreeing.
“Yeah I know, but she’ll be pissed, if she thinks we are treating her different.” Dean said faltering his point a bit.
“She’s a teenager, that’s her job. I just see these kids, you know normal and stuff, and I wonder what she thinks about it all.”
“Sam-.”
“Growing up, being a teenager, they suck enough with out having things chasing after you. Digging through old files of research. Searching for your parent.”
“But Allie never complains, Sam, Not once.”
“Exactly, she’s trying to make things easier on us. It should be the other way around Dean.” Sam shouted, then paused for a moment. “She shouldn’t have come. I’ve been thinking, after this job, we should drop her off at Pastor Jims.” Sam said softly. Dean looked bewildered.
“Allie grew up without a mother. Dad up and left her without notice or reason. What do you think will happen if we leave her on Jim’s porch? You think she will thank us. She will feel abandoned.” Dean screamed.
“He’s right I would.” Allie said softly. Her brothers stopped and turned to her.
“Allie, I didn’t mean. I’m sorry.”
“Are you sorry that I heard you, or sorry about what you said.” She said, but without giving him a chance to answer, said “Your right I did have an hard childhood. I didn’t have friends, or go to dances, or play sports. I didn’t have a mom, and my dad was always gone, and yeah it was hard. But I wasn’t miserable. Ya know why? Because I had you two. I had the best two brothers in the world, who would play with me, always listen to me, and keep me safe. I was happy because of you. And if I were to loose you two, I don’t know what I’d do.” She said as tears rolled down her cheeks. Dean pulled Allie into a hug.
“Your not going to loose us Allie. Not now, Not ever! I’ll see to that.”

“Okay, now that we got that chick flick stuff out of the way, I was thinking there is a pattern here-.” Dean started.
“The way Mary is picking her victims, Shoemaker and Jill-” Sam added
“Both had secrets, where people died.” Allie finished. “I mean there’s a lot of folklore about mirrors-that they reveal all your lies, all your secrets, that they’re a true reflection of your soul, which is why it’s bad luck to break them.”
“So maybe if you’ve got a secret, I mean like a really nasty one where someone died, then Mary sees it, and punishes you for it.” Dean said.
“Whether you summoned her or not.” Sam said.
“Hey, guys take a look at this.” Dean said beckoning his siblings closer. They looked on the computer screen, and see a picture of a woman lying by a mirror in a puddle of blood. Dean prints out another picture and hands it to Sam. The picture is of a handprint and the letters “T-r-e”.
“Looks like our handprint.” Sam said eying the picture. “What happened?”
“Her name was Mary Worthington—an unsolved murder in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mary was 19, lived by herself. She won a few local beauty contests, dreamt of getting out of Indiana, being an actress. And on the night of March 29th someone broke into her apartment and murdered her, cutting out her eyes with a knife.” Dean said.
“They find out who did it?” Allie asked
“Not for sure. But there was a local man, a surgeon-Trevor Sampson. Her diary mentioned a man that she was seeing. She called him by his initial, “T”. Well, her last entry, she was gonna tell “T”’s wife about their affair.”
“You said his name was Trevor,” She said eying the photo of the handprint and the letters T-R-E. “She was trying to expose her killer.”
“Yeah, but they were never able to prove it. No prints, no witnesses. This guy was meticulous.” Dean said sighing
“Where’s she buried?” Allie asked convinced this was their Mary.
“She wasn’t. She was cremated.” Dean said, causing his sister to groan.
“What about this mirror?” Sam asked nodding at the picture.
“It was returned to Mary’s family. The mirror was in the family for years, until he sold it one week ago to a store called Estate Antiques. A store in Toledo.” Dean said smiling at his research. Realization flooded over his siblings faces.
“So wherever the mirror goes, that’s where Mary goes. Wow Dean you should do the research more often” Allie said teasing her big brother.
“Yeah, you wish, this was a one time thing, because you two are so friggin’ emotional these days. Anyway I say we find this mirror and smash it.” Dean said.
“Maybe.” Sam said, though something was on his mine. Just then Allie’s cell rings.
“Hello,” She said. Slowly concern took control of her face.
~~~
Charlie is sitting on the bed with her head on her knees eyes closed tightly. Allie is sitting on the bed next to her trying to calm here down. Sam and Dean have all of the curtains drawn shut, and are throwing sheets over the mirrors, or are facing them to the wall or floor. Dean nods to Allie.
“Hey, hey it’s okay. Hey, you can open up your eyes Charlie. It’s okay, all right?” She said soothingly. Charlie looks up slowly, revealing her tear stained face. “Now listen. You’re gonna stay right here on this bed, and you’re not gonna look at glass, or anything else that has a reflection, okay? And as long as you do that, she cannot get you.”
“But I can’t keep that up forever. I’m gonna die, aren’t I?”
“No,” Sam said soothingly, “not any time soon.” He patted her shoulder.
“Charlie, we need to know what happened.” Allie lightly pressed. “Something happened, didn’t it? In your life…a secret…where someone got hurt. Can you tell us about it?”
“I had this boyfriend. I loved him. But he kind of scared me too, you know? And one night, at his house, we got in this fight. Then I broke up with him, and he got upset, and he said he needed me and he loved me, and he said “Charlie, if you walk out that door right now, I’m gonna kill myself.” And you know what I said? I said “Go ahead.” And I left. How could I say that? How could I leave him like that? I just…I didn’t believe him, you know? I should have.” Charlie said putting her head in her knees, and cried harder.
“Alright, its ok. Shhhhhhhhh! Listen, Sam, Dean and I are going to go stop this thing okay?”
“NO!” She shouted crying harder. “No please don’t leave me alone please. PLEASE!”
“Okay, Okay! I’ll stay here with you. I just gotta talk to my brothers real quick I will be right over there. I will not leave you. I promise.” Allie pulled her brothers aside.
“You know her boyfriend killing himself, that’s not really Charlie’s fault.” Dean said quietly.
“You know as well as I do spirits don’t exactly see shades of gray, Dean. Charlie had a secret, someone died, that’s good enough for Mary. You know I’ve been thinking I’ve been thinking. It might not be enough to just smash that mirror. Mary’s hard to pin down, right? I mean she moves around from mirror to mirror so who’s to say that she’s not just gonna keep hiding in them forever? So maybe we should try to pin her down, you know, summon her to her mirror and then smash it.” Sam said
“Good idea Sammy, but who’s gonna summon her?” Allie said.
“I will. She’ll come after me.” Sam said quietly. Dean rolled his eyes.
“You know what That’s it! Excuse us Charlie,” He said grabbing his brother and sister and yanking them outside. “This is about Jessica, isn’t it? You think that’s your dirty little secret that you killed her somehow? Sam, this has got to stop, man. I mean, the nightmares and calling her name out in the middle of the night—it’s gonna kill you.”
“Sammy, this is not your fault. If you want someone to blame, than blame the thing that killed her. Or better yet than blame me. You never would have come with us if I hadn’t guilted you into it.” Allie said her eyes watering.
“Allie, I don’t blame you.” Sam said looking his sister in the eye.
“Well you shouldn’t blame yourself, because there’s nothing you could’ve done.” She said looking back at her brother.
“Allie’s right Sam.” Dean said. “And besides, all of this isn’t a secret, I mean we know all about it. It’s not gonna work with Mary anyway.”
“No you don’t.” Sam said looking down. Dean and Allie shared a glance. “You don’t know all about it. I haven’t told you everything.”
“I beg your pardon.” Allie said
“What are you talking about.” Dean said looking surprised.
“Well it wouldn’t really be a secret if I told you, would it?” Sam said condescendingly. There was a pause than Allie started shaking her head.
“No. I don’t like it. It’s not gonna happen, forget it.” She said moving her arms about. Dean nodded vigorously.
“Guys, that girl in there is going to die unless we do something about it. And you know what? Who knows how many more people are gonna die after that? Now we’re doing this. You’ve got to let me do this.” Sam said. Allie and Dean sighed defeated. She kissed her brothers goodbye and headed into the motel room to comfort Charlie. Dean looked at Sam, than shook his head, and headed towards the car.
~~~
Sam is trying to pick the lock on the door. It opens and the brothers see many mirrors are in this shop. Dean rolls his eyes and groans
“Well that’s just great” He says eying the picture once more. The brothers set out, searching for their mirror. “Maybe they sold it?” Dean suggests as his search is to no avail.
“I don’t think so.” Sam says eying the picture again. He flashes his light on the
mirror in front of him, and sees it is a perfect match.
“You sure about this?” Dean asks walking over to him. Sam nods handing Dean the flashlight.
“Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary.”
~~~
“You never told her the truth—who you really were.” Sam’s reflection told him as Sam fell to the floor, He was bleeding from his eyes, and Dean was no where to be found. “But it’s more than that, isn’t it? Those nightmares you’ve been having of Jessica dying, screaming, burning—You had them for days before she died. Didn’t you!?! You were so desperate to ignore them, to believe they were just dreams. How could you ignore them like that? How could you leave her alone to die!?! You dreamt it would happen!!!” Dean suddenly appears, and instantly puts a crowbar through the mirror. He immediately turns to his brother eyes wide with fear.
“Sam, Sammy!” Dean said worriedly, bending down to the floor, and Sam.
“It’s Sam.” His brother was able to croak. Dean breathed an enormous sigh of relief. He bent down and practically picked his little brother up, pulling his arm around his shoulder, they start walking towards the car. When all of the sudden, Mary climbs out of the mirror’s frame. Both brothers turn to see her and fall to the ground. They both start bleeding from the face, but Dean reaches up and pulls over a mirror so that Mary is forced to see her own reflection. She comes face to face with all the lives she has taken, and begins bleeding from the face, before she melts into a puddle of blood. Dean throws down the mirror he held and it shatters.
“Hey Sam, This has got to be like…what? 600 years of bad luck?” Both brothers chuckle weakly.
~~~
Allie was not good at waiting. She was awesome at shooting. Incredible at research. And The best at fighting. Waiting however, she sucked at. She reached in her pocket, and tried her brothers’ cell again. Nothing. She looked over and saw that Charlie was asleep. Remembering her promise not to leave her alone, she sat down on the bed staring at the clock, and the door. She heard the sound of the Impala pulling up. She threw open the door and rushed towards her brother’s giving them a giant hug. Dean shirked away, but Sam let his sister hold him. She looked up and saw her brother’s faces. Both stained with dried blood, which came down from their eyes.
“That’s it I’m never leaving you two alone again.” She said smiling weakly.
~~~
Allie gets out of the car and opens the door for Charlie. They are dropping here off at her house. She gave her new friend a hug, and says goodbye. Charlie thanks the Winchester’s before turning to leave.
“Charlie?” Sam says causing her to turn around. “Your boyfriend’s death…you really should try to forgive yourself. No matter what you did, you probably couldn’t have stopped it. Sometimes bad things just happen.” She smiles faintly and turns to go in the house.
“That’s really good advice, Sam.” Allie said smiling.
“Hey, Sam? Now that this is all over, I want you to tell us what that secret is.” Dean said trying to hide his worry. Allie looked at Sam expectantly, but Sam shook his head.
“Look…you’re my family.” He says. “and I’d die for you, but there are some things I need to keep to myself.”
Hey guys hope you are enjoying the story, I had a question i wanted to ask you, so if you have an oppinion plese share it. I was wondering which you guys would prefer, me going in direct order with the eppisodes, or hitting some major ones like shadow, home and devil's trap. Or favorites like Faith, and Hell house. I dont think i will be done with the whole first season by the second's premiere as i had hoped, i just have a life outside of Supernatural. (Shocking yes, but true). I also have some ideas for an original eppisode. If you have a preference i would appreciate the imput, but either way i will finish skin first since i love this eppy. Hope you all enjoy my work so far. Thanks!
“Alright, I figure we’d hit Tucumcari by lunch, then head south, hit Bisbee by midnight.” Dean tells his siblings. Allie nods her head in agreement, but Sam doesn’t respond. “Sam wears women’s underwear.”
“I’ve been listening, I’m just busy.” Sam says, palmpilot in his hand.
“Busy doing what?”
“Reading emails from my friends at Stanford.” Sam says without looking up.
“You’re kidding. You still keep in touch with your college buddies?” Dean says getting out of the car to fill up the gas tank.
“Why not?” Sam asks
“Well, what exactly do you tell ‘em? You know, about where you’ve been, what you’ve been doin’?” Dean said grabbing the gas nozzle.
“I tell ‘em I’m on a road trip with my siblings. I tell ‘em I needed some time off after Jess.”
“Oh.” Allie said “You lie to them.”
“No. I just don’t tell ‘em….everything.”
“Which is called lying.” Allie said
“Hey Al, lay off, will ya? The truth is far worse.” Dean said
“So what do you think I should do Dean, cut everyone out of my life?” Sam asked
“Of course Dean doesn’t think that.” Allie said looking at Dean for a reinforcement, but Dean just shrugged. “Your not serious.” Allie said looking amazed
“Look, it sucks, but in a job like this, you can’t get close to people, period.” Dean said putting the nozzle up.
“I don’t believe this.” Allie said shaking her head. “Your kind of anti-social Dean.” Allie said.
“God.” Sam said in awe. He had turned back to his email once his siblings had began bickering.
“I know, how you and I turned out so well I will never know.” Allie said teasing her eldest brother.
“Yeah, whatever.” Dean said getting back into the car. Sam shook his head.
“No its not that, it’s just in this e-mail from this girl, Rebecca Warren, one of those friends of mine. I went to school with her and her brother Zack. She says Zack’s been charged with murder. He’s been arrested for killing his girlfriend. Rebecca says he didn’t do it, but it sounds like the cops have a pretty good case.” Sam said, in a melancholy tone. Allie looked at her brother worried.
“What kinda people you been hanging out with Sam?” She asked in disbelief.
“No, guys, I know Zack. He’s no killer.” Sam said looking up for the first time.
“Well maybe you know Zack as well as he knows you.” Dean suggested
“They’re in St. Louis. We’re goin’.” Sam said looking at Dean.
“Look Sam, I’m sorry about your friend. But what can we do. This doesn’t sound like our kind of problem.” Allie reasoned with her brother. He didn’t listen.
“It’s our problem Allison because they are my friends.” He said giving her a pleading look. Allie faltered a little and looked at Dean.
“No, St. Louis is four hundred miles behind us, Sam.” He said looking from his sister to his brother. The sad eyes had him surrounded. “Great. Just great!”
~~~
Sam reaches for the doorbell. While Allie looks at Dean.
“Do I look okay?” She asks him.
“Why are you asking me that?!?” Dean asks her exasperated.
“I just want to make a good impression, with Sam’s friends. You know like normal people.” She said
“Sam, I hope your happy, because of you are sister is acting NORMAL.” He says gagging on the word.
“Allie, you look fine.” He said, pushing the little button, which caused a cutesy chime to follow. A girl comes to the door, and a big smile spreads across her face.
“Oh my god! SAM!” She says pulling him into big hug.
“Well if it isn’t little Becky.” Sam said smiling.
“You know what you can do with that little Becky crap.” She teased him. Then she noticed the two strangers behind her. They step forward.
“Dean, brother.” He said
“Allison, Sister.” She said extending her arm which she happily shook. Sam looked at Rebecca and the mood changed completely.
“I got your email, we are here to help. Whatever we can do.”
~~~
“Nice Place.” Allie said to Rebecca, eying the mansion with much amazement.
“It’s my parents’. I was just crashing here for the long weekend when everything happened. I decided to take the semester off. I’m gonna stay until Zack’s free.” She said as they entered the kitchen. Allie wandered around the house looking at the nice things. She always found the idea of homes fascinating. If she could have had of had one, she would want it to be exactly like this.
“So where are your folks?” Sam asked.
“They live in Paris for half the year, so they’re on their way home now for the trial. Hey you guys want a beer? Or soda” She added looking at Allie.
“Beers fine.” Allie said with a smile, causing everyone but Sam to laugh.
“No, thanks. So, tell us what happened.” He said, causing Allie to bow her head, muttering indistinctly. Rebecca sat down and cleared her throat before starting her story.
“Well, um, Zack came home, and he found Emily tied to a chair. And she was beaten up and bloody, and she wasn’t breathing.” She said starting to cry. “So, he called 911, and the police—they showed up, and they arrested him. But, the thing is, the only way that Zack could’ve killed Emily is if he was in two places at the same time. The police—they have a video. It’s from the security tape from across the street. And it shows Zack coming home at 10:30. Now, Emily was killed just after that, but I swear, he was here with me, having a few beers until at least after midnight.”
“You know, maybe we could see the crime scene, and that tape.” Sam said.
“Why? I mean, what could you do?” Rebecca asked Sam. Allie was thinking the same thing.
“Well, me, not much. But Dean’s a cop.” Sam lied, causing Allie and Dean to laugh.
“Detective, Actually.” Dean said recovering quickly. “In Bisbee Arizona, But I’m off duty now.”
“You guys, it’s so nice to offer, but I just—I don’t know.” Rebecca said
“Bec, look, I know Zack didn’t do this. Now, we have to find a way to prove that he’s innocent. So, the tape. The security footage—you think maybe your lawyers could get their hands on it, cause I don’t think Dean has that kind of jurisdiction.”
“I’ve already got it. I didn’t wanna say something in front of the cop. I stole it off the lawyer’s desk. I just had to see it for myself.” She said smiling weakly. Causing the Winchesters to laugh. They head to the living room together.
~~~
The four of them watch the tape in silence.
“Here he comes.” Rebecca says, as a young man about Sam’s age comes into view, then disappears. Allie apparently has seen something and taps Sam on the shoulder, jerking her head back towards Rebecca. Sam catches the hint.
“Hey Bec, can we take those beers now?” Sam asked. Rebecca nodded and started towards the kitchen. “And maybe some sandwiches.” He asked with a smile
“What do you think this is Hooters?” She asked with a smile. Dean laughs.
“I wish.” He says looking at his siblings. “What do you got?” Allie rewinds the tape an pauses it to reveal ZACK looking directly at the camera. His eyes are silver. Allie looks at her brothers.
“Maybe its just a camera flare.” Dean suggests.
“That’s not like any camera flare I’ve ever seen.” Sam said
“You know, a lot of cultures believe that a photograph can catch a glimpse of the soul. Remember that dog that was freakin’ out? Maybe he saw this thing. Maybe this is some kind of dark double of Zack’s, something that looks like him but isn’t him. Like a Doppelganger.” Allie suggested “It’d sure explain how he was in two places at once.”
~~~
The Winchesters pull up behind Zack’s house. Allie’s eyes are drooping and she clutches her coffee in her hand drinking it readily. “Alright, so what are we doin’ here at 5:30 in the morning?” She said taking a sip. Sam got out of the car and headed over to the backdoor.
“I realized something. The videotape shows the killer goin’ in, but not comin’ out.” Dean is leaning against his car taking in this information.
“So, he came out the back door?”
“Right. So, there should be a trail to follow. A trail the police would never pursue.” Dean nodded.
“Cause they think the killer never left. And they caught your friend Zack inside.” Allie groaned.
“I still don’t know what we’re doin’ here at 5:30 in the morning.” She said tilting her cup back. However nothing quenched her buds. She sighed at the empty cup and tossed it into the impala while Dean wasn’t looking. Sam looks around the outside of the building, and notices blood smeared on a nearby telephone pole. He beckons his siblings over.
“Blood. Somebody came this way.”
“Yeah, but the trail ends. I don’t see anything over here.” Dean adds. They hear an ambulance and a police car drive past them. Each shares a look
“What happened?” Allie asked to nearby woman.
“He tried to kill his wife. Tied her up and beat her. I used to see him going to work in the morning. He’d wave, say hello. He seemed like such a nice guy.” The woman replied. The three of them share a glance. Dean heads up to talk to the patrol man while Sam heads to the back of the house. Allie stays to question the woman some more.
~~~
Sam is on the side of the house, looking around. He looks inside two garbage cans but finds nothing. He moves to the front of the house, where Dean and Allie come behind him.
“Hey.” Dean called to Sam causing him to turn around. “Remember when I said this wasn’t our kind of problem? Definitely our kind of problem.”
“What’d you find out?” Sam asked eagerly.
“Well, I just talked to the patrolman who was first on the scene, heard this guy, Alex’s story. Apparently the dude was driving home from a business trip when his wife was attacked.” Dean said
“So, he was two places at once.”
“Exactly. Then he sees himself in the house, police think he’s a nutjob.”
“Two dark doubles attacking loved ones in exactly the same way.”
“Could be the same thing doin’ it, too.”
“Shapeshifter?” Sam said after thinking for a moment. “Something that can make itself look like anyone?”
“Every culture in the world has a shapeshifter lore. You know, legends of creatures who can transform themselves into animals or other men. Skinwalkers, werewolves.” Allie said. “We’ve got two attacks within blocks of each other. I’m guessin’ we’ve got a shapeshifter prowlin’ the neighborhood.” Allie said thoughtfully.
“Let me ask you this—in all this shapeshifter lore, can any of them fly? I picked up a trail here. Someone ran out the back of this building and headed off this way. And, just like at Zack’s house, the trail suddenly ends. I mean, whatever it is just disappeared.” Sam said confused. Allie shrugged, then a smile spread across her face.
“Well, there’s another way to go.” She said looking at her brothers, then looking down. Right below them they notice a manhole leading to the sewers.
“Well one thing I learned from Dad- No matter what kinda of shapeshifter we are dealing with, there is one sure way to kill it.” Dean said with a smile, tossing his siblings loaded guns.
“Silver bullet to the heart.” Allie said in a sing song voice with a smile. Sam’s phone rang. He answered it. His siblings watched, as their brothers heart was broken, by Rebecca, who had found out about their lie. Sam looked miserable when he hung up the phone. Dean looked at Sam eyes wide with sympathy.
“I hate to say it, but that’s exactly what I’m talkin’ about. You lie to your friends because if they knew the real you, they’d be freaked. It’s just—it’d be easier if-”
“I was like you?” Sam said finishing his brother’s sentence.
“Wow that’s a scary thought.” His sister said. Attempting to make Sam laugh, which he did.
“Hey, man, like it or not, we are not like other people. But I’ll tell you one thing. This whole gig—it ain’t without perks.” Dean said closing the trunk. And with that the three siblings headed down into the sewer.
~~~
“I bet this runs right by Zack’s house, too. The shapeshifter could be using the sewer system to get around.” Sam said as the Winchesters got out their flashlights.
“I think you’re right. Look at this.” Dean said pointing to a pile of bloodied, flesh with bits of hair. “ You know, I just had a sick thought. When the shapeshifter changes shape—maybe it sheds.”
“EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! THIS IS SO SICK!” Allie said shivering making retching noises. She then followed her brothers. They walked for a while.
“I think we are closed to its lair.” Dean announced.
“Why would you say that?” Sam asked.
“Because there’s another puke-inducing pile next to your face.” Sam shirks away from the pile fast. He looks disgusted. Dean continues to look around, and notices a pile of clothes in the corner. “Looks like it’s lived her awhile.” Dean commented.
“Who knows how many murders its gotten away with?” Allie said with disgust Sam turns to talk to her but sees the shapeshifter right behind her.
“ALLIE!” He screams. She turns to see him behind her. She reaches for her gun, but is punched so hard she falls down. Sam bends down to see if she’s alright, while Dean shoots at it a couple of times, missing. He then looks down at his sister. Her lip is already swelling and her face is stained with blood. Her brothers reach to help her up but she pushes them away.
“Get the son of a Bitch.” She said.
The Winchesters chased after the Shapeshifter, but he got out of the sewers and headed down the street.
“Alright, Lets split up.” Sam said after they reached the surface.
“I’ll meet you at the other side. Allie I want you to go strait to the car.” Allie started to protest, but Dean raised his gun. “That thing is not laying another hand on you again.” He said waving his gun about. Allie rolled her eyes. And turned, heading towards the car.
~~~
Sam turned and saw Dean coming around the other side of the street.
“Anything?” He asked Sam. Sam shakes his head in disappointment. “Alright Lets head back to the car.” Sam sighs grateful that Dean doesn’t make them go back in the sewers again, and follows him to the Impala. Allie leans against the door, and Dean stares at her for a while, than smiles. “Hey, sis.” He says. “Lets see those keys.” She pauses for a moment. Than tosses him the keys, and he catches it with his right hand. Allie turns away, as he opens the trunk and observes all the weapons. He laughs silently.
“DON’T MOVE!” Allie said suddenly pulling out her gun. Pointing it directly at him, She lowers her voice. “What have you done with him?”
“Allie, Chill its me alright.” The man stares at her but does not look her directly in the eye. This confirms her suspicions.
“Where is my brother?” She shouted
“I am right here.”
“NO, YOUR NOT HIM! I KNOW HIM BETTER THAN ANYONE ON THIS PLANET! I KNOW HIM AND YOU ARE NOT HIM!” Allie sad cocking her gun “Where is he?”
“Your about to shoot him, Sam Calm her down.”
“Allie, I know your scared, but you need to lower your gun okay? We don’t want to make a mistake.”
“Sam, Dean has always looked my in the eye when he speaks to me. He is left handed. And no way in hell would Dean go back to the hotel tonight, unless the job was over. That’s not Dean”
“Are you sure? Allie? I think your just on edge ok? Dean say something only you would know.”
“The clowns aren’t gonna hurt you anymore. Dad, Sam and I will make sure of that. Remember?” Allie lowered her gun, but did not drop it. He used this as his opportunity. He grabbed Allie and threw her against the trunk, knocking her out. He turned to Sam, and hit him with the But of a rifle from the trunk. He smiled wickedly.
~~~
Sam wakes up in a dingy, dusty room. His neck and hands are bound to a wooden post. He sees his brother’s form; he walks over to him and backhands him. SAM groans “Where are they? Where’s Dean? Where’s Allie?”
”I wouldn’t worry about them. I’d worry about you.” Says the shapeshifter.
“Where are they?”
“You don’t really wanna know do you?” He said chuckling. “I swear, the more I learn about you and your family—I thought I came from a bad background.” He grabs his head in pain and grimaces as downloads thoughts and memories of Dean’s. “Man, hes got issues with you. You got to go to college. He had to stay home. I mean, I had to stay home. With Dad and Allie. You don’t think I had dreams of my own? But they needed me. Where the hell were you?”
“Where is my brother?”
“I am your brother. See, deep down, I’m just jealous. You got friends. You could have a life. Me? I know I’m a freak. And sooner or later, everybody’s gonna leave me. You left. Hell, I did everything Dad asked me to, and he ditched me, too. No explanation, nothin’, just poof. Left me with your sorry ass. God if it wasn’t for Allie I don’t know what I’d do. But this job is not without its perks? I meet the nicest people. Like little Becky? Wow what a smoker. I guess I can say that since Allie’s not here. God Allie.” He said with a sick smile. “She sure has grown up. God what a firecracker huh? Our baby sister is all grown up, and man is she hot? I bet she’s a screamer.” Sam clenched his fist in anger.
“Don’t you go near them!” He said through clenched teeth. The shapeshifter just smiled and threw a sheet over Sam, covering him completely.
~~~
Sam tries again to get out of the ropes and fails. “Damn it.” He says irritated. He hears movements in another area of the room and hears coughing.
“Sam, Allie. That had better be you and not that freak of nature.” Sam heard his brother’s voice. Sam breathed a sigh of relief.
“Yeah, it’s me. The freak of nature went to Rebecca’s looking like you.”
“Well, he’s not stupid. He picked the handsome one.” Dean said with a smile. His bindings fell to the floor. He rushed over to Sam.
“Where’s Allie?” He said while cutting his brother’s binds. Sam shook his head.
“I don’t know.” Sam said looking down, Why hadn’t he just listened to his sister in the first place. Dean got eyelevel with Sam and looked at him
“She’s alright Sam, I know she is.”
“Yeah, come on we gotta get to a phone.” He said as his bindings were cut free.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You’re gonna put an APB out on me.” Dean said looking at Sam
“Sorry.”
~~~
Allison Winchester woke up to find herself tied to a chair. She looked around, and could tell she was in the sewers, but had no clue where. She scanned the area but could not see her brother’s anywhere. She did see something taking her brothers form, but instantly knew it was not him. She looked at him. “So this is how you get your jollies.” She said, “Beating a woman to death while she is in a chair, letting someone who loves her take the fall. Kind of sad really?” The shapeshifter laughed. “So why are you doing this, mommy and daddy not love you enough.” She said angrily. He stopped laughing, walked over and punched her in the nose. Blood began pouring from her face, and she laughed. “Did daddy do that to you?” She asked smiling. He grabbed a bat and began beating her with it. She screamed out in pain, but he did not stop. He was beating her so hard the chair broke. She used this as her opportunity to escape. She kicked him so hard he keeled over in pain. As she started running away, she realized the pain was so unbearable, she couldn’t walk. She felt herself keel over, and began coughing up the blood from her mouth. Suddenly she felt herself being lifted.
“He blames you, ya know? For us not finding dad! If it weren’t for you. They would have found him by know. Hell Dad wouldn’t have left in the first place. He was just trying to protect his little girl. His very beautiful girl, smart and funny and strong. I love a challenge” he said.
“Good.” She said and went for the nut shot. She kicked him so hard she was sure he passed out for a second. She started limping away, but he grabbed her again. Tying her up, he pressed his lips against hers. She spat in his face, and he backhanded her. He chained her down. When she effectively could not move. He smiled. “I’m gonna go kill your brother’s friend now, then I’m gonna kill him. Then I’ll be back for you.” He said throwing a sheet over her. She tried to stay awake, but soon everything went dark. She fell over exhausted.
“An anonymous tip led police to a home in the Central West End, where a S.W.A.T team discovered a local woman bound and gagged. Her attacker, a white male, approximately twenty-four to thirty years of age, was discovered hiding in her home.” The TV reporter said as a rough drawing of Dean appeared on the screen.
“Man! That’s not even a good picture.” Dean said
“It’s good enough.” Sam said looking around cautiously.
“They said attempted murder. At least we know-”
“I didn’t kill her!”
“I’ll check in with Rebecca in the morning.”
“Alright but first I wanna find that handsome devil and kick the holy crap out of him.”
“What about Allie?”
“Exactly, Sam, the guys walking around with my face, and has my sister somewhere it’s a little personal.”
“Okay. Where do we look?”
“Well, we could start with the sewers.”
“We have no weapons. He stole our guns, we need more.” Sam said thinking for a moment “The car?"
“I’m bettin’ he drove over to Rebecca’s.” Dean said.
“The news said he fled on foot. I bet it’s still parked there.” Dean looked pissed.
“UGH! The thought of him drivin’ my car.” He said
“All right, come on.” Sam said pulling Dean.
“It’s killin’ me.”
“Let it go.”
~~~
Dean and Sam walk around the side of the house and see Dean’s car parked. Dean sighs relieved “Oh, there she is! Finally, something went right tonight.” He says. Suddenly a police car appears, and parks next to Dean’s Car. “Oh crap!” He says. They turn around to run, but realize another car is parked a few yards away. “This way, This way!” He says indicating the fence.
“You go, I’ll hold them off.” Sam said to his older brother.
“What are you talking about? They’ll catch you.”
“They can’t hold me. Just go, keep out of sight. Meet me at Rebecca’s. Dean, Stay out of the sewers alone! I MEAN IT!” Sam hollered.
“Yeah, Yeah!” Dean said and was already gone.
Sam raised his hands over his head, and sighed at brother. Hoping for once he would listen to him.
~~~
“Sorry, Sam. But you know me—I just can’t wait.” Dean says getting weapons out of the Impala. Then he walks away, shutting the trunk. Dean heads for the sewer.
~~~
Dean shines the flashlight in the dark, and discovers an additional lair of their shapeshifter. “Allie.” He calls out. “Allie!” His light shines on a large covered object. He rushes to it and pulls the sheet up. There a very frightened Rebbecca sits. Dean hurries to untie her ropes. “What happened?”
“I was walking home, and everything just went white. Someone hit me over the head, and I wound up here just in time to see that thing turn into me. I don’t know, how is that even possible?” She said crying.
“Okay, okay. It’s okay. Come on. Can you walk?” He asks her and she nods. “Okay, we’ve gotta hurry. Sam went to see you.”
“There is something over there.” She whispered to Dean. “I heard it” She said motioning to another covered object in the corner. Dean ran over and saw a pool of blood running from under the sheets. He lifted up the cover and found his baby sister laying there bound, gagged, and bleeding. She looked up at him and sighed with relief. All the fear escaped her eyes. Her brother was here she was safe.
Dean quickly undid Allie’s binds and gag. Allie started to rise, but whimpered with pain. Dean took his sister in his arms and easily lifted her. He carried her up and out of the sewers, beckoning Rebbecca to follow him.
~~~
The shapeshifter has changed back into the form of DEAN. He finishes tying up Sam’s hands and feet, then starts walking around the kitchen.
“What are you going to do to me?” Sam asked
“Oh, I’m not gonna do anything. Dean will, though.” The shapeshifter said smiling.
“They’ll never catch him.” Sam said
“Oh, doesn’t matter. Murder in the first of his own brother and sister? He’ll be hunted the rest of his life.”
“She’s not dead.” Sam said looking at the creature with total loathing. The creature smiled picking up a sharp knife and examining it.
“Your quite the optimists. You really believe that? When’s the last time you saw her. When’s the last time you heard her voice. You know what I’ve done to the other women, and guess what, I was right. She was a screamer.” He slams the knife down into the wood. “I must say, I will be sorry to lose this skin. Your brother’s got a lot of good qualities. You should appreciate him more than you do.” He said pouring him self a drink. Sam eyes the knife. “Cheers.” He says taking a drink. Sam using the shift of attention, lifts his legs and kicks the shapeshifter, who falls to the ground. Sam quickly sits up and moves his hands up and down on the blade of the knife. The ropes break apart. The shapeshifter gets up, and Sam takes the knife and swings at him. The shapeshifter grabs Sam’s arm in mid-swing and twists it. Sam falls to the ground. “Oh, you son of a bitch.” The shapeshifter says. He and SAM start to fight. Sam tries to pin the shapeshifter down. “Not bad, little brother.” He says. “But even when we were little kids, I always kicked your ass!” The shapeshifter said pins Sam to the floor and starts to choke him.
“HEY!” Dean said pulling out his gun. The shapeshifter lets go of Sam who gasps for air. Dean aims his gun, and shoots the Shapeshifter instantly killing him. The shapeshifter falls to the ground, and Dean walks over and yanks his necklace off his neck. Sam looks at his brother and starts crying.
“He killed her. Dean! He killed Allie. He said so.” Sam said.
“You should tell her that.” Dean said helping Sam up. Rebecca entered helping a very weak Allie up the stairs. She collapsed on the sofa. She gives her brothers a knowing look.
~~~
“So, this is what you do? You and your brother and sister—you hunt down these kinds of things?” Rebecca said
“Yeah, pretty much.”
“I can’t believe it. I mean, I saw it with my own eyes. And, I mean, does everybody at school—nobody knows that you do this?” Sam shook his head. “Did Jessica know?”
“No, she didn’t.” Sam said bowing his head
“Must be lonely.” Rebecca said with a sigh
“Oh, no. No, it’s not so bad. Anyway, what can I do? It’s my family.” Eying his brother and sister, who were leaning against the Impala waiting for him.
“Well, you know, Zack and me, and everybody at school—we really miss you” She said. Pulling him into a big hug.
“Yeah, me to.” He said pulling away. Rebecca nods and waves goodbye to Dean and Allie. They wave back, and she goes back inside the house. Sam walks over to the car.
“So, what about your friend, Zack?”
“Cops are blamin’ this Dean Winchester guy for Emily’s murder. They found the murder weapon in the guy’s lair, Zack’s clothes stained with her blood. Now they’re thinking maybe the surveillance tape was tampered with. Yeah, Becca says Zack will be released soon.”
“So what happened to this guy?” Dean asked with a smile.
“Guy went berserk, Beat his sister within an inch of her life. Then went after his brother. Allie apparently shot him twice. In order to save her other brother. She is getting a medal and everything.” Allie said smiling. “We are going to have to talk about what he said to me eventually Dean.” She added
“Can’t I just be happy you’re alive for now?” He asked. “Hey listen Sam, I’m sorry. I really wish things could be different, you know? I wish you could just be….Joe College.”
“No, that’s okay. You know, the truth is, even at Stanford, deep down, I never really fit in.” Sam said.
“That’s cause you’re a freak.” Dean said with a smile. Allie patted Sam on the shoulder.
“But don’t worry Sam, we’re freaks too.”

Hey guys, i got the first part of the Eppy home done. I know im skipping some but i may come back to them later. I just really wanted to get to this one. I should have the rest of the eppy up by later tonight. As always enjoy!
Sam woke with a start. The image still burned in his head. A woman had been banging on a window and screamed for help. The dream had a familiar feel to it. So did the house. He got out a pen and paper and began drawing what he had remembered. It wasn’t long before his brother rose. Their sister could sleep forever if they would let her. Dean was in an evil mood to day. He pulled the blankets and sheets out from her. She still did not wake up. So he took her pillow and began lightly hitting her with it. She still was not completely healed from their last gig, and Dean didn’t want to cause more damage. Finally she groaned and headed for the bathroom to take a shower, but not before starting a pot of coffee, and grunting hello do Sam. He nodded at her without looking up from his drawing. When she came out she was wearing a robe and a towel on her head, she sat and poured herself a cup of coffee. “What do we got that’s so important I had to wake up for?”
“Alright.” Dean said. “I got some candidates for our next gig. Fishing trolley of the coast of Carolina, its crew vanished. Cattle mutilations in east Texas. Hey Sam, am I boring you with this hunting evil stuff? ”
“No I’m listening…Go on.” Sam said without looking up.
“And here it says a man is Sacremento shot him self in the head…three times. Any of these things blowing up your skirt girls.” Dean said. Allie shrugged as she finished changing. She was wearing a tight pink Van Halen shirt Dean had bought for her last birthday, and a tight pair of jeans. She slipped into her sneakers, and looked at Sam.
“You okay?” She asked taking down her hair in the towel.
“I’ve seen this before.” Sam said with sudden realization.
“Seen what?” Dean asked, watching his brother reach for their father’s journal. Sam looked through the pictures until he found what he was looking for.
“Guys I know where we have to go next.” Sam said
“Where?” Allie and Dean asked at the same time.
“Back home. Back to Kansas.” Sam said.
“Okay Random. Where did that come from?” Dean said
“This is gonna sound crazy, but the people in our old house…I think they’re in danger.”
“Why would you think that?” Allie said trying to hide the concern
“Uh. Just uh. Just trust me on this ok?” Sam said heading for his suitcase.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a second. Just trust you. Come on that’s weak you gotta give us more than that.” Dean said.
“I cant explain it” Sam said.
“TRY!” Allie said, grabbing his suitcase. Sam looked at Dean for help, Then sighed.
“I have these nightmares.” Sam said. Allie and Dean shared a glance. “And some times they come true.” It took a moment for the words to comprehend with the two siblings.
“Come again?” Dean said. Sam knew he would have to elaborate.
“Look, I dreamed about Jessica’s death for days before it happened. I dreamt about the fire, the blood dripping, her on the ceiling. Everything! And I didn’t do anything about it because I didn’t believe it. But know I’m dreaming about that tree, our old house, and some woman inside screaming for help. That’s where it all started, this has to mean something. Right?”
“I don’t know.” Dean said. Both Allie and Dean were sitting down at the impact of this new information.
“You don’t know Dean? This woman might be in danger; this might even be the thing that killed Mom and Jess.” Sam said sitting down across from his siblings.
“Just slow down okay? I mean first you tell me you got the shining. Especially when I swore to myself …I would never go back there again.” Dean said
“So this is what you’ve been hiding form us. This is the big secret we couldn’t know! You’ve been carrying this around for 5 months.”
“Allie, I-”
“NO, ALL THIS TIME YOU’VE BEEN LYING TO US. WE DESERVED TO KNOW! WE HAD A RIGHT! WE ARE A FAMILY AND YOU LEFT US OUT IN THE DARK!” She said breathing heavily
“I’m sorry.” Sam said and Allie could tell he meant it. “but we gotta check this out guys. Just to be sure.” Allie looked at her eldest brother waiting for his lead. She saw him nod.
“I know we do.” He said.
~~~
They pulled up to their old house. Dean and Sam had memories here both happy and sad. Allie had dreams. She felt no connection to this house that had been her first and last. It was just a house. Her brother felt differently and she knew it. This house was where it all started. This house was a reminder of the life they once had. The life they had lost. This house was a reminder of their mother. This house was death.
“Are you gonna be alright Dean.” Allie asked. Dean eyed the house and felt his stomach lurch.
“Let me get back to you on that.” Dean said heading towards the house. As usual Sam and Allie followed. Dean knocked on the door. A pretty single mother named Jenny, mid thirties, answered. She smiled.
“Yes?”
“Hi mam, sorry to bother you; We’re with the-“ Dean started
“Hi I’m Sam Winchester, This is my brother Dean and my sister Allie, we used to live here. We were just passing by through the old neighborhood and we were wondering if we could see the old place?” Sam said honestly.
“Winchester? Funny I think I found some of your photos the other night.”
“You did?” Allie asked surprised. She had thought everything they owned was destroyed in the fire. Jenny nodded swinging open the door with a smile.
“Come in.” She said.
~~~
The Winchesters walked into their old house. Allie followed her brothers, having no idea or recollection of this place. Her brother’s reaction told her everything she needed to know though. They walked into the room where Allie saw two children. One, a boy no older than two, stood bouncing in his playpen repeating the word “Juice”. The other a girl about 9, was doing her homework at the kitchen table.
“That’s Ricky.” Jenny said indicating the boy, as she headed towards the fridge.
“He’s kinda a juice junkie. But hey, at least he’ll never get scurvy.” She handed the boy a sippycup and he began drinking it immediately. She turned to her daughter.
“Sahrey, This is Sam, Dean, and Allie. They used to live here.”
“Hi.” Sahrey said quietly with a smile. Sam and Dean waved. Allie smiled.
“Hey Sahrey.”
“So, you just moved in?” Dean asked
“Yeah from Witchitaw. Just needed a new start. Ya know? So new town. New house. New job, as soon as I find one anyway.”
“So how you liking it so far?” Sam asked subtlety.
“Well with all do respect to your childhood home, I’m sure you have lots of happy memories here, but this place has its issues.” Jenny said.
“What do you mean?” Sam pressed gently.
“Well its just getting old. We got flickering lights constantly, sinks backed up, and I’ve heard scratching so I’m pretty sure we got rats. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to complain.”
“Mommy,” Sahrey said, then lowered her voice to a whisper. “Ask them if it was here when they lived here.”
“What Sahrey?” Sam asked.
“The thing in my closet. It came in my room; it was on fire”
~~~
“You here that a figure on fire. Flickering Lights. Scratching noises. Both signs of a malevolent spirit.” Sam said as they left the house.
“And that woman Jenny; that was the woman from your dreams.” Dean asked.
“YEAH!”
“Well I’m just freaked out that your weirdo visions are coming true.”
“Well forget about that for a second okay? Do you think that’s the thing that killed mom and Jessica? Has it come back or been there the whole time?”
“It could be something else entirely different, We don’t know yet. We gotta chill out okay? Pretend this is just some normal job. What would we do next?” Allie reasoned with her brother. He sighed calming down slightly.
“We would try to figure out what we are dealing with, dig into the history of the house.” He said.
“Exactly, but this time we already know what happened.” Dean said,
“Yeah how much do you two remember? How much did you two see?” Allie asked curiously. Sam shook his head. Dean looked up, eyes gazing back into the past, searching his memory.
“Not much, I remember Dad yelling. His orders. The heat of the fire. And carrying you two out the front door.” Dean said.
“You did?” Allie asked having never heard that detail before. Dean nodded. Allie looked at her brother in amazement. Even from when she was so small, he had always looked out for her, and Sam.
“Yeah, and well you all know the rest of the story. Mom was on the ceiling and whatever had put her there was long gone by the time Dad found her.” Deans said. She knew this hit home with her brothers having them had memories of their mother. Allie however had nothing. She didn’t know the pain of loosing her mother, because she had never had one. She had no memory of the short time with her, and you could not miss what you never had. Right?
“All right if we’re gonna figure out what’s happening now, we gotta figure out what happened back then.”
~~~
Allison Winchester was taking a walk. Her brothers were interviewing Dad’s old business partner, and were posing as federal agents. Her age kept her from tagging along so she decided to explore her old town which she had called home so many years ago. She saw families at the local park on the picnic. She saw a mother pushing her daughter on a swing set. Allie’s throat tightened, and she walked away hurriedly. Allie came to a cemetery, and stopped dead in her tracks. Slowly she entered the gates and began searching. Finally she found what she was looking for.
Mary Winchester
Beloved Wife and Mother
“Hey mom,” She said bending down to her mother’s grave. “I’m sorry we haven’t visited, we’ve been busy. I wonder if you knew that. I’ve been taking real good care of our boys, or trying to at least. Dean, wow he’s as stubborn as dad. He uh, is tough. Real tough, and he’s funny and smart. Macho man wont let me inside to tell what he’s thinking. Still taking care of me and Sam. Like always. I don’t know where we’d be with out him. I just wish he wouldn’t keep everything bottled up. Dad, well I think he’s good. I hope he is. I haven’t talk to him in forever, but he’s alive. I’d know if he was gone. I’d just know. Your death. Well it was hard on him, he’s out for blood, and even if he gets it, he’s still gonna have to deal with the fact that your gone. We all are. Sammy, oh wow. He’s hurting mom. He’s hurting and I cant help him. I cant fix it. He lost his girlfriend a little while ago, and just cant get through it. Somethings happening with him, and I’m worried.” She said her eyes starting to water. “I guess I’m not doing that good of a job huh? The boys they miss you. They need you. You would do better. I’m failing.” She said crying harder. “I have dreams sometimes, about you. About times before the fire. I haven’t told the boys yet, because… because I'm afraid they aren’t real. And I need them to be real. I need to have something of you. Something to hold onto. The boys have their memories, but I have nothing. I wonder what you would say if you could see me know. Would I make you proud? God, Mom, why did you have to leave? I need you. I need you so much.” Allie was crying so hard she couldn’t see straight, and she heard a twig crack. Instantly, Allie was up on her feet in a second ready to pounce though she was still crying and breathing heavy. She looked around an saw she was still alone and convinced herself it was a squirrel or something. She bent done and kissed her mothers tombstone. “Goodbye mom. I love you” She whispered rising. She turned and headed towards the gate and back to the motel. John Winchester watched his daughter walk away as a tear rolled down his cheek.
