I don't agree with the statement that Dean is a sociopath.

I think it was just meant as a jab by Sam... though... I can kinda see it in some ways... Sociopaths are extremly antisocial and avoid interaction with people... even family. I've had to look it up recently cause of a family member displaying symptoms of it. Actually once i read about it.. its not as bad as some make it out to be in movies and things like that where all the Murderers are considered Sociopaths. Its a personality disorder. Sam as said before (in Skin i believe lol) that Dean was Antisocial.. I believe its just a jab at it. hehe!

Well thats how i saw it anyways...

But If i hadn't had to research it i prolly woulda looked at it differently too ;)

you know what sucks? I read this part at 3 in the morning and went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning I was expecting to read the first but then i remembered that i already read it .. and now i have to wait a very very long time for second :cry


I seriously really enjoyed this one. I loved the writing, BT you're very talented. I learned a couple of new words too that i didn't know before. lol The humor in it was very good, and the panicking dean was so clear in my mind i was like "Damn it Sam, stop complaining and get your ass up and help dean find his necklace!"

I'm really interested to find out more about it, see what your theory about it is. I can't wait till the second part.

NO, I do not believe Dean is a sociopath. I always love when people ignore the whole story and pick out one line completely out of context.

It is just a jab by Sam, as Tweedle Duh noted. Dean made tons of jabs at Sam earlier. It's what brothers do. And let's face it, unless he's flirting or conning people out of money, he's not a real social butterfly. That doesn't make him a bad person. If I'd had Sam call him a psychopath, then definitely I'd be off base. If the boys didn't pick on each other, they wouldn't be brothers. Sociopathic, just means he's not much of a people person, doesn't subscribe to society's norms, doesn't really fit in. It doesn't imply that he's dangerous, homicidal, or crazy. :P

And trust me, none of y'all love Dean more than I do. :rolleyes: I don't care if he's not a social butterfly, cuz i'm just gonna bring him home, and we're gonna be homebodies together. LOL.

ETA: We will find out a few things about the necklace in this epi, but I'm warning you now, that there will still be questions left unanswered. I'm only telling you, cuz well, I know how y'all hate loose ends, as do I. But we have a long way to go in the season. Can't let all the cats out of the bag at once. LOL. I'll be hiding in the barn until Saturday in case any voodoo curses come my way, and Tracer sent me plenty of brick dust, too.

That was a great first part. Great writing, I can picture the episode in my mind. In the series, we still wondering what Dean's necklace's story is about, it's why I find Swamped so captivating. Nice work so far, can't wait for part 2 :)

Yay! I've been looking forward to this episode since I first read the synopsis. Great start; panicked Dean was thoroughly amusing...and I mean that in the most sympathetic way possible.

This is the story I was waiting for when I first heard about the virtual season. Part one did not disappoint. I cant wait for the rest.

He didn't want to say anything, but he hated seeing his brother's scars, too. He knew too much about the pain that lay beneath them.

I loved that line because it could refer to so much more than just the physical scars. :D

Poor Dean... I don't blame him for being upset, and I have a feeling Sam will learn why the necklace really is so important. :D

Yeah, that Alice in Wonderland thing just happened. Cuz I knew Dean would say something snarky in response to Sam's question, like why the hell else would they be there, right? I was gonna have 'em mention the Disney movie reference, cuz it's prolly more likely that he's seen the movie than read the book, but I think the man's a genius, so i left it the way it came out.

Normally, I don't reply here until I've read the whole episode, because I wanna know how it turns out before I die of speculation, but this episode is quickly becoming my favorite of the four. Finally, we're delving into the mystery of the necklace! I've been waiting for that for ages! burstynout, I totally agree. I think Dean's a genius as well, I'm glad you left the line like that. Mann is awesome, by the way, and I'm anxious and freaking anxious can be to find out what's wrong with Dean. So yeah, just had to say that I'm looooving this episode so far. Consider me in awe. :cheer
