This is a relatively general board. I am currently working on Supernatural: Gold. Which is a teleplay concerning Black Beard's ghost and resembles certain parts of the classic Carpenter film THE FOG. I think an ideal thread for all fanfic writers would be one that deals with the question, "what exactly is out there?"

We write down possible supernatural occurances, legends, etc. that we think might make for good stories. It can even be expanded upon. So, I'll start:

5. Hell passageways
6. Lizzie Borden
7. Headless Horseman
8. Witches
9. Vampires
10. Werewolves

13. Mole people (similar concept to the monsters of Time Machine)

THis is a cool idea. I teach an idea development class for film and one of the assignments is to rewrite a myth into modern day. I had two students to La Llorna (I blew the spelling on that) - the lady in white, so that was really cool to see that as the pilot. I'll have to dig through some papers to see what else they did. I know someone did the guy in the back seat and made it a girl attacking a boy. Very cool twist. I'll go dig!

i think it would be cool for the guys to go on a job in a major city like new york, bc they would have to act completely different and it would be alot hard for the to keep a low profile. they couldnt just go around carry a shot gun, pose as cops as easily and stuff like

The boys should come to Florida, have any of read Ghostly Legends and Haunted Folklore by Greg Jenkins? in his first book he lists 27 hauntings From Key West to St Petersburg, so there is more than beaches and sunshine in this state.

There is La Concha Hotel, where three known ghosts are said to haunt the place one of them is Ernest Hemingway plus the HardRock Cafe is known to be haunted

The Biltmore Hotel, The Everglades are haunted, the cementaries are the Boca Raton Cementary, Myrtle Hill Cementery in Tampa.

Two aslyums Sunland Hospital and Old Princeton Hospital
Other Hotels include Boca Raton Resort and Club, The Colony Hotel.

"Get what?" MO-T replies.

"It's not fair. We're in the year 200-, we're equiped with modern tech.
and we're going in to investigate this time shift."

MO-T sighs, "I know. I know. Phases, and Carol just wants us to be sure that
we'll not get lost on this project."

"It's a bar!" Carol yells, infront of the doors of the bar.

static clicks: "Carol. Easy. We have the modern stuff, so we won't look like
geeks in plublic."

"I know. Ok. I know." Carol says into the earpeace phone. "You open the door.
I don't want to touch it." MO-T sighs, and opens the door for Carol first.

Amazing. Years later, it's a completely different place, and time. MO-T thinks.
"Ok, Phases. We're is the places for us to sit?"

In MO-T's earpeace you can hear Phases: "Over to your left there's a wall of small
tables and chairs. That's were the activities takes place."

MO-T takes a look, and regrets it. It's crowded with customers. "You sure?"

D5: I can see the area fine, and the readings are sky high in that area. You
don't need to sit down (laughs)...Just try and act normal.

Goldie: Be nice, D5....Or we'll put you on the next project...

Susie: Goldie's our mom.

*MO-T and Carol goes to walk over to the wall.*

Phases: Ok, I can see you two in the right place....

Carol: So, when is this shift change supposed to happen....

*Carol's interrupted, when MO-T and Carol's first sees the energy flow like a
wave across the bar. Carol's energy reading glasses, she sees how fast the
wave is coming.*

Carol: Get it, Phases. Now! Get the picture! *as the wave hits, on the computer
screens back in the main office, Phases and the crew takes the pictures with
their technology.

*What showed on their screens for a mili-second, was once an old, but active
~bar joint~....The bar that Carol, and MO-T are in now, is built over the old
dance hall building, that they believed carried the same life energy.

Carol: MO-T, did you get that?! She says in awe. *No answer from MO-T...*
She turns to look, but he's gone.*

Carol *in her earpeace*: Phases, Goldie. What happened to MO-T???

Susie: They're looking into that. I'm replaying the tape to see what happened
to MO-T....

Well, I have this new idea for a great story. And its about Dean, who gets a call from his former high school sweetheart, but something go's totally wrong when he meets up with her again. She has nine year old twins with her. One girl, one boy, but here's the thing, their Dean's and she just leaves them with him and Sam. So how will Dean be able to take care of them when he and Sam are hunting and are still looking for their dad?

I dont know if I should write the story or not, so if you like what you read then let me know, maybe then I'll go on with writting it. ^_^

Fanfiction section, I just saw the whole topics thing and thought to maybe post my question here. Thanks though, I have actually started on it, I have one chapter already out and posting my second one soon. :D

Okay, so this is not a story idea. I just had a thought. I've only been on this forum about a week now, and I am already going crazy trying to keep up with all the great fanfic stories.

I love the format. Serializing is a great way to generate interest and hold an audience, but some of us are less able to handle the stresses of constantly checking and rechecking to see if their fave story has been updated yet.

Do you think it would be possible to have a separate category under Fan Fic for only the finished stories. So, if you just want to spend a nice afternoon reading a good story, you don't have to worry about getting left hanging.

I'm thinking that the stories would still be written the way they are now, but then, once they're finished, they could be moved to another heading. That way the reader would know before they start reading if the story is finished or not, and can choose what they prefer to read, based on their mood and schedule.

Anyone else think this would work?

Yeah, I agree! I really would like that. I love reading and fanfiction is my favorite one's to read these days, but I have to say, sometimes we want to be able to read a complete fanfiction and not one that leaves us hanging. Soooo....please could somebody from the board or something take that into consideration. :D

Okay, so I got this idea. . .

I've been noticing some common themes in the fanfic stories on this site, and I was thinking about Highway 666 while I was at work today, so this is my idea. . .

I. Cassie has important news for Dean.
II. She tells Dean she's pregnant.
III. Dean has to decide whether to stay with Sam and the hunting or to stay with Cassie. This would be the major conflict in the story.
IV. Dean chooses to stay with Cassie, and makes up his mind to propose.
V. Then, of course, she and his unborn child both are killed by the same demon that killed Mary and Jess. It's a Winchester gal curse.

So that's basically the story right there. I think it would be a great conflict for Dean to have to decide between Sam and a family of his own. Also, I think it would be really cool if Dean got burned or something trying to save Cassie. (Maybe the ceilings are lower.) He could have some cool scars. Also, the angst is always so much better when an innocent unborn child is involved. Could even have Dean carry Cassie's burned body from the house and force Sam to help him salt it so that the demon that killed her couldn't take her hostage like their mother.

Now I guess I should say that I am not going to write this story. I don't like to get into things that might happen in the future of the show too much because usually about the time I get attached to an idea, the stupid writers on the show go and shoot it all to hell. However, I would read this story if someone else wrote it. I would like to nominate :cheer sn chills. :cheer The Boxes was a really great story, and if she could manage to keep at least Sam and Dean alive through this one, I'd say, "Fly, Be Free. Write this story, you'd be great at it.."

Anyone else wanna take a shot at it?

Left Behind: (continuing from Sam's Hero and The Call) Sam goes to Stanford; Dean has emotional issues. ( :P )

Midnight is Vampyric: Sam and Dean help out an old friend with a monster that hasn't been awake for 12 years (It's NOT a true vampire, nor does it look like one!); Dean remembers his childhood.

The Mine: Sam and Dean take on ghosts from the California Goldrush, but these ghosts may be more than they can handle...

Like em'? Should I write them? Should I post them? Should I finish Left Behind? :huh: Plz tell me what u think!

Of course you should finish Left Behind! :cheer Also you should write the others as well. It's been my experience that once you start a story, it's best to finish it, or it will always bug you that you didn't. 'Cuz that's what writers do, they tell stories. So do it for your own peace of mind and development. I haven't had a chance to read Left Behind yet, because I'm trying to follow so many at once, but I will start tonight and leave plenty of reviews. :cheer

ugh I hate Cassie. No offense. okay Fat-Cat is a big Lori/Sam shipper if any of you people can write a story on them? I'm sure Fat-Cat would be more than happy as for me, my favorite Dean pairing has been Hayley. So any of you genius can find a way for those two love birds to reunite?

I didn't care much for Cassie, either, but the writers on the show seem to like her, so I thought this would be the most likely story line to actually occur on the show. I don't try to let my ideas get too far out of the bounds of what the writers set up. 'Sides, if they kill off Cassie, then it won't really matter if Dean wants to be with her or not. :evil So, wouldn't it be great to get rid of her and get to see the whole sensitive, vulnerable, angst-ridden Dean all in the same story?

Anyway, I already said I wasn't going to write it, but I still think it could happen. So, someone ought to write it. :stir

Hey, just to tell you guys. I came up with a great idea for a new teleplay, once again sorry for putting THE DANCE on hold. The teleplay is SUPERNATURAL: TURBULANCE inspired by the Twilight Zone Episode: Nightmare at 20,000 feet about the Gremlin on the wing of the plane. The majority of the teleplay will be Sam and Dean on the plane similar to the thrillers FLIGHT PLAN and RED EYE the plan will create a sense of desperate isolation. For an underlying tone of the episode, Dean will overcome his fear of flying when he goes head to head against the Gremlin! So, get ready to take flight as SUPERNATURAL once again goes to the sky.'

Note of Interest: The majority of this episode, I will type will I am on a 8 hour plane ride to and from Arizona. Just thought that might make an interesting place to type up the teleplay of a plane crash due to Gremlins disrupting the engines on the wings of the plane.

For those of you wanting a 'finished only' section, your wish is my command. I'm currently setting up a board called Supernaturalville that will be an archive for finished Smallville and Supernatural fics. each show will have its own section with forums for each type of fic. ie AU, crossovers, scripts. Once its done, though. I'm going to need you guys, the writers to help me archive your work there!

Okay, I have an idea...

1) Dean and Sam meet this thirteen year old boy, who's name is Jacob.
2) Jacob id hitchhiking, so Dean offeres him a ride...Jacob agrees.
3) Jacob's mom had already past away and he is searching for his Dad, but he has never met him.
4) Soon they find out that Jacob is their long lost brother.
5) And of course you have something supernatural in the story, which would be a demon named Antichrist.

So, I think this is a good idea! And I think I might give it a shot. So tell me what ya think of it.

It is cool, and they have this urban legend about a :jacket phyco killer dressed up as a clown! Imagine Sam and Dean coming across that! I bet Dean would scream like a little girl... :lol:

I had an idea that I doubt if I will get around to doing: Grey's Anatomy meets Supernatural because our "guys" are always getting hurt. It's a thought. Besides John is on there sometimes as well as the lady that plays Missourie :)

I live in Toronto, Canada, and we have quite a few urban legends and hauntings of our own:

1. The Screaming Tunnel (St. Catherine's)
2. Fort York/High Park (haunted by the soldiers of the War of 1812)
3. Lighthouse (haunted by owner who was killed and dismembered)

We have a few more, but I can't remember them all at the moment, and most aren't all really urban legends...

Just thought I'd add that in.

I'd like to see a hunt gone bad where Dean accidentally shoots Sammy...Oh, the angst! Dean and Sam could be in one heck of a fight and in the confusion, they defeat the "creature" whatever it is.....Dean claims the victory...Sam appearing exhausted and settling to the floor questions it...basically telling Dean he thinks his big bro missed..cuz he doesn't remember shooting himself. (Can you imagine the look of shock on Dean's face when he realized Sam's been shot and that he's responsible...oh the angst!) Please, somebody give it a try! I'm not a writer or I would try.

I'm currently in the process of writing a fic dealing with a Haunted house that has a passage way to hell. but instead of it just being there, someone opened it for reasons of their own. Dean and Sam meet an acclaimed "Witch" by the town locals named Jordan, technically because Jordan has the gift of Sight or whatever is it that Missouri has, just, not very strong. It's not consistant. there's more, but I know it sounds like a dumb idea, but once it's all written out, hopefully it'll be good.

As for Urban Legends..
Supposedly there's this old Asylum in Simi, Cal. and there's this tunnel you have to go through to get it. Supposedly the tunnel is haunted with the patients of the Asylum.
I haven't been there but my friend went and got majorly spooked out. She couldn't go all the way through the tunnel.
Also, I can't remember, but I think there was one about the train tracks...

So, this is like a giant brain-storming sessions? I got a question on the fics you guys are writing... just a question on the guidelines.
How do you guys responde to O/Cs? (Original Characters) I understand some people prefere to stick with the main characters and only have O/Cs in minor roles. I've glanced around at a bunch of fics already but I just thought I'd ask.

Also, to move the topic along, I thought I'd throw out a few ideas, some of the more obscure supernatural creatures I've heard of... most of which can be hunted...

1. The Padfoot: Also known as 'Black Shuck', 'Grim', and 'Shuck Dog'. A fire-eyed spirit in the form of a great black dog, the size of a small calf. Known to protect lone travelers (*hint hint*) ; or kill the unworthy. Sometimes, an omen of death. Invisible at will; at home in the fens, downs, and marshes of any world. The Padfoot is always completely silent....

2. Howlers are pack beasts of the Abyss that are long-legged and covered in spiky hair. Whilst they are predatory and bestial in appearance, howlers are surprisingly intelligent, but can only howl. By nature, howlers are cowardly and cruel, and therefore hunt only in packs.

3. El Chupacabra The name translates literally from Spanish as "goat-sucker." It comes from the creature's reported habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock.

4. Jackalope A cross between a jackrabbit and an antelope.

5. Ogopogo is the name given to the reputed lake monster that dwells in Lake Okanagan, British Columbia, Canada. You could have some fun getting a dead man *Cough Dean Cough* across the boarder.

6. Thunderbirds and other giant birds often glimpsed throughout North America.

7. And of course Bigfoot.

I've been batting around an idea in my head for a long time... maybe I should finally put the proverbial pen to paper...

personally, im not a fan of O/Cs. i prefer them in minor roles - something like they would get on the show (important to the story-line but not so important they take from the main characters). If i write with O/C's i prefer them, once again, to be like the show - important but not too important.

but thats just me

and i like some of your ideas, especially The Padfoot one, mainly cos i love that legend anyway :D
