Title: Looking For A Specific Type Of Fic ...

... and I hope you guys can help me out, cause this one's a bit of an issue to some. :)

I'm looking for well-written torture fic. Mainly because I'm in the process of writing one and I need some inspiration. So ... can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, I should probably point out that I'm not looking for anything slash-related. Just your run-of-the-mill spill-the-beans kind of stuff. Nothing too graphic. I guess it would be better to call it strong hurt/comfort fic, actually.

Guess not, huh? Oh well. Thanks anyway.

Hey, Cathy...not sure if this is anywhere near what you are looking for, but it's my fic of Dean in Hell and the torture they imposed on him. There is some physical stuff, restrained but still pretty brutal in the raw simplicity of it...kind of like less is more. And I honestly couldn't deal with anything more extreme against my already suffering Dean.

There is more mental torment because I think that's where you are most able to get to Dean. The whole fic is pretty long, but the torture stuff is just the first few chapters (9 actually, but like I said, they are all really short since they are so intense) until Dean escapes Hell and then it goes into his recovery. The very last chapter again details Dean's thoughts on Hell and what he experienced, what it was like and how he's trying to carry on with the longterm effects. That last chapter is one of my very favorites that I've ever of those chapters that basically wrote itself and I was just transcribing as it played out. Actually the most torture stuff is there at the end and is probably the most graphic of the entire fic.

Anyway, here's the link in case it's something you want to check out. It is one of my stories that I am most proud of and it did get a good response.

White Room

And then I have another one which also references Dean's time in hell which has general references to the torture, but again, more the psychological implications and guilt from what Dean did in Hell.
