Title: Supernatural.tv Mock Hunt Elimination Round3

Welcome to the Supernatural.tv Mock Hunt Elimination – Round 3!

Here’s your chance to show how truly obsessive the Supernatural fan base is. Each Wednesday, Nightshadeisis or I will post a ridiculously obscure trivia question about an episode of Supernatural (for example, "In episode ten of season three, how many times does Dean lick his lips?") Your job is simple: answer the question in three guesses or less.

However, that example question is a little different than the actual challenge. Instead of identifying in the question what episode it's about, right above the question will be a word scramble. Unscramble it, and that gives you the episode title.

The last person to PM a correct answer to the question (and the episode title) to Nightshadeisis or I will be eliminated from the game... maybe. Because we have 12 rounds lined up, but only have to cut 11 players from the game before the actual Mock Hunt, in one random round, there will be a bye, where nobody is eliminated.

Take note that for the first three rounds, any answers PM'd to me will not be counted because I will be out of commission for the next three weeks. I leave for vacation tomorrow morning. If you do not PM your answer to Nightshadeisis by the deadline, you will potentially be up for elimination.

You all have one week to submit the answer and title in a PM before the elimination and next question are announced.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll field as many questions as I can before I leave, and Nightshadeisis will take care of any others.

And here we go! :car

This week’s Scramble is:

CFLLLMMMRSAAAEEIUU

This week's Question is:

How many specific names verbally spoken contain the letter "A"? Hint: Specific means that it could be the same name said differently.

Remember, PM the Answer to the Question and the Name of the Episode to Nightshadeisis by 9:30 PM CST on Tuesday, August 9, 2011.

Good Luck!

Are we allowed to ask for a bit more clarity, such as, if the same person says the same name twice in the episode, does that count as one?? or two??

Raven524 - August 7, 2011 04:49 AM (GMT)
And do we know if the recap is counted or just the actual episode?

Oh good question!

Nightshadeisis - August 7, 2011 01:46 PM (GMT)
No, the recap doesn't count, unless Drew pulled a fast one on me. LOL. But it isn 't from just one person; it's through the entire ep. If you want to be clear on the recap bit, PM Drew for clarification as this was his question to submit, and I'll PM him as well so that we can double team him. LOL.

It doesn't matter if the same person says a name identical to one that was said earlier. You're counting the names themselves, not how many times they were said. Once a name is said, even if it's said again, do not add to the total (unless, as the hint states, it's the same name but said differently).

And no, the question is based on the actual episode, not the recap.

Thanks for clearing that up! I have one last question: is it just first names or do last names and other proper names count (i.e. titles of movies, etc.)???

First names for "human" characters only.

OK, thanks for clearing that up!

All right, ladies and germs. Time for the reveals.

This week's episode was: "Malleus Malefircarum"

I will allow Chris to come on and give you guys the answer for this question (because, frankly, even though this question was of my design, I forget it), but as to who is eliminated...

Nobody!

That's right; the bye has randomly been activated in this round. So, regardless of who got the question wrong, you're all in Round 4, which I will be posting in a few moments.
