Hi everyone, and welcome to Hour of the Wolf! We'll be using the Standard Rules with the following changes:

PM rules: Pro-town players cannot PM at all (except for Best Friends). Werewolves and Alpha Wolf can PM only each other any time. All players may PM the game mod at any time.

Except for wolf killings, all special abilities are optional to use.

Players do not have to reach a majority vote by the end of the day phase to lynch a player, BUT the majority of players must have placed their votes in order to eliminate the player with the most votes.


Please remember:

You must bold your vote AND place it on a separate line so I can easily see it. Vote like this:

I am the game mod and will post important information in light blue text so that it is easy to pick out. Players, please do not use lightblue text in this thread (if you have light blue text in your sig, that's fine).

You may contact me via PM at any point in the game and I will respond as soon as possible.

All roles were assigned randomly.
All players' roles will be revealed when they are eliminated from the game.

Pro-town win conditions: All werewolves (including the Alpha Wolf) are eliminated
Anti-town win conditions: Werewolves and humans are in equal numbers.
Independent win conditions: Survive to the end of the game (as either a Human or a Wolf). Can be a dual win. Humans don't have to eliminate human Survivor in order to win. Wolves don't have to eliminate converted Survivor to win.

Roles

Pro-town
Humans (7)
- No special powers
- Vote to lynch werewolves during day phases
- Original alignment: pro-town
- If converted: Human becomes a Wolf

Here's the Human role PM:

Best Friends (2)
- Know each other at the beginning of the game
- Can PM only each other any time
- …Otherwise, plain townies
- Original alignment: pro-town
- Can be converted individually. Best Friends will keep their ability to PM each other even if one has been converted.

Hunter (1)
- Has 4 bullets that he can shoot during night phases (one kill per night, on the nights he chooses) to target anyone in the game
- Is immune to conversion as long as he has bullets left…if the Alpha Wolf tries to convert the Hunter, the Hunter automatically uses one of his bullets to kill the Alpha Wolf and the Alpha power does not pass to another wolf (no more conversions).
- After the Hunter uses all his bullets, he is a plain townie and can be converted
- Original alignment: pro-town
- If converted (after using all bullets): the Hunter becomes a Wolf

Psychic (1)
- Can find out the true nature (but not specific role) of one player each night by PMing the game mod. The Psychic will receive a response of Human (pro-town) or Wolf (anti-town). All players' true natures depend on that moment of the game. For example, it is possible that the Psychic checks on Player 1 in Night 1 and finds out she is Human. But if Player 1 is converted on Night 3, the Psychic won't know unless she checks on Player 1 again.
- Original alignment: pro-town
- If converted: becomes a Wolf and loses psychic ability

Angel (1)
- Can protect one player each night, regardless of player's alignment
- Cannot protect self
- Original alignment: pro-town
- If converted: becomes a Wolf and keeps ability


Anti-town
Werewolves (3)
- Must choose one player to kill each night
- Know each other at the beginning of the game
- Know who the Alpha Wolf is at beginning of the game
- Alignment: anti-town

Alpha Wolf (1)
- May choose one player to convert to a werewolf each night (optional ability). Maximum of 4 conversions during the game.
- Can discuss who to kill with werewolves via PM, but decides conversions on his/her own
- Will die if he tries to convert the Hunter and the Hunter has at least 1 bullet left
- If lynched, Alpha Wolf status will pass to one of the other werewolves by random selection. If the Alpha Wolf is killed by the Hunter, his conversion power does not pass on to another Wolf (no more conversions in the game).
- When there is one wolf left, he can only kill players--can't convert anymore
- Knows who the werewolves are at beginning of the game
- Alignment: anti-town

Independent
Survivor (1)
- No special abilities
- Goal is simply to live to the end of the game
- Originally human but can be converted to a Wolf
- Alignment: independent
- If converted: becomes a Wolf

LOL, I don't think this game often gets boring...although I always hate first days of the game as you have absolutely no clue who to vote for. :(

But we have until next Friday to figure it out I guess. I just have one quick question:

If there is a tie in the vote, will all be killed?

Just want to make sure as that threw me in the last game :lol:

yes first days are the worst. you never really have anything at all to work with. And I really hate random kills.

If there is a tie in the vote there will be only one kill, which I will decide randomly.

The Angel's protection is only for the night phase, so the Angel cannot affect what happens during day phases.

Yes to your second question, Hukie. The player the Angel chooses will be protected from both being killed and/or converted, if that player is targeted during the night.

Hate the first day as well. Even though we've played games together in the past, it feels like we have to get to know each other all over again. There isn't anything to go on. At least this game roles will be revealed as the person dies...I read that right, right? If that's the case voting patterns will be easier to follow and read.

I think we should vote Lucky for 2 reason's...keep the tradition of voting for him right away and most importantly he said the W. word. He didn't say it twice but he said it. :lol:

This game is a lot less complicated than the last one, which I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Who knows, maybe this game will end up being even more involved than Stokes' was. :lol:

I have only *technically* been anti once....

But anyway.. I'll just be my usual self and vote at the end of the phase, when there's marginally more to go on. Although it's the first day, so the marginal more won't exactly be more of anything.

Ok, I finally made it to my computer. I was at a job interview for a fair chunk of the day. Couple hundred people, long lines, freezing wind, numb hands...Lol! Good times.
