Now, we find out that Hell still has no fury...but first, some news!

I have recently gotten a job at my local Wal-mart, so updates are going to sporadic for a while yet, even more than they have been. So if I post the first two or three acts of an episode, don't panic! I'll post the rest within a few days after it.

As for everything else...well, actually, that was the news. Now, on with the episode...

Title Card: “Then”

1.1 – “Pilot”
DEAN breaks into SAM and JESS’s apartment at Stanford. SAM introduces them.

SAM:
Dean, this is my girlfriend, Jess.

1.1 – “Pilot”
SAM flops down on the bed, resting his eyes. Blood drops from the ceiling onto his forehead. His eyes snap open as he looks up.

Cut to -
JESS, pinned to the ceiling.

SAM:
No!

Cut to -
JESS, bursting into flame.

2.17 – “Heart”
Some shots of MADISON, up from her introduction to her sex scene with SAM to the scene of her handing the gun to SAM, both sobbing.

Fade to Black. We hear the gunshot.

3.1 – “The Magnificent Seven”
RUBY emerges from the shadows.

DEAN: (V.O)
So this is Ruby…

3.2 – “The Kids Are Alright”
RUBY goes black-eyed.

DEAN: (V.O)
She’s a demon, Sam! They want us dead, we want them dead!

RUBY:
I can help you save your brother…

3.16 – “No Rest for the Wicked”
RUBY, SAM, and DEAN argue in BOBBY’s basement.

SAM:
Did you know?

RUBY:
Gonna need a little bit more than that…

SAM:
That Lilith holds the contract.

RUBY:
Yes, I did. If I’d told you, then you two yahoos would have gone off half-cocked, and Lilith would have peeled the meat from your pretty-pretty faces.

Cut to -
LILITH, in RUBY’s host body, setting the hell hounds on DEAN.

DS 1x01 – “Hell Hath No Fury”
RUBY, in her new body, makes an appeal to SAM.

RUBY:
You can't help Dean by doing what you're doing...you can't even avenge him. Sam...(she kneels down in front of him) I can help you...and we can kill Lilith, together...

SAM considers this.

RUBY: (CON'T.)
What do you say?

There is a long pause as SAM considers this. And, finally, he comes to an answer.

SAM:
I will...I'll do it.

DSS 1x08 – “Best of Both Worlds”
RUBY is seducing SAM.

RUBY:
(hesitates) Yes, I do...but it's a cold world, Sam. (She pulls his face to face her) I need something other than the cold, Sam...please...

Their eyes meet for an instant, and it is like a spark of electricity. Their lips meet, and they both slowly fall back out of the scene.

DDS 1x14 – “Under Your Skin”
LILITH forces a magical device on RUBY and revives her.

Cut to – RUBY’s Hospital Room
SAM stands at RUBY’s side, looking broken and weary. DEAN enters.

DEAN:
What's up?

SAM:
Whatever Lilith did put her in a coma...the doctors say she's probably not going to wake up...

DEAN:
Just as well...

SAM:
Could you show a little respect?

DEAN:
(a beat) Sam, it's not like Ruby's not just going to show up again...now that she's out of that girl...

SAM:
Lilith didn't send Ruby back to Hell.

DEAN:
(a beat) Wait a minute. What?

SAM:
Whatever Lilith did brought her back to life.

SAM:
(a beat) I'm going to find out what Lilith did to Ruby...

DDS 1x15 – “Girl’s Got Rhythm”
We see SAM and DEAN enter RUBY’s mind via the Ouija board and the shenanigans that take place in RUBY’s head before we eventually get to…
RUBY and SAM in the parking lot.

RUBY:
Sam...ever since I got out of Hell, you've been the only person who has trusted me.

SAM:
Is there a point to this?

RUBY:
Yes...(a beat) I'm going to go away for a while...I don't know when I'll come back...

SAM:
Wait, what?

RUBY:
I'm human, Sam...I've got a second chance...I don't want to waste it.

SAM:
What? But Lilith hit you with that...that Sphere of Loki, thing...

RUBY:
Yeah, but we still don't know why...or if it's going to stick...

Cut to -
RUBY, taking off on her motorcycle and leaving SAM standing in the road.

RUBY: (V.O)
I'm gonna go.

DDS 1x20 – “Am I Evil?”
RUBY has returned from her trip. In the motel room, she leans over and kisses SAM passionately on the lips. At first, SAM goes with it, then resists.

SAM:
Whoa, whoa...stop...

RUBY:
Sam...it's okay.

SAM:
How is it okay?

RUBY:
Sam, please...I just...I've been far away...and I need it...please...

She looks into his eyes, and we can see his resolve breaking. She leans forward again to kiss him, and this time he meets it.

Cut to -
SAM and RUBY, discussing killing LILITH.

SAM:
I am ready. I can kill Lilith now...

RUBY:
No, you aren't, Sam...and with that attitude, you never will be...

SAM:
I can do it, Ruby, I know it can.

Cut to –
Later, SAM has an emotional moment.

SAM:
I'm angry all the time, Ruby...I hate everything...sometimes...and I think...(a beat, he sighs) Sometimes I think I'm evil...

RUBY:
Sam, you're not evil...

Close Up -
SAM's face as he looks to her.

RUBY: (CON'T.)
You have a good heart, Sam...I know...

SAM:
How do you know?

RUBY:
(she lays a hand on his chest) You're good...Sam...just trust me... and you're trying to do good even when life has made you miserable...

He looks into her eyes. RUBY looks back into his.

Cut to -
In the cave, SAM tries to kill LILITH and only succeeds in bleeding from his face.

Cut to -
LILITH, with RUBY’s throat in her grasp, taunting her.

LILITH:
I didn't do a thing! You did, Ruby! I wanted a new baby...I just needed the right stuff from Sam to make it happen...

We see RUBY at SAM’s side.

SAM:
(looking up at her, with a slur in his voice) Ruby...I'm sorry...

RUBY:
Sam...Sam! No! No! Don't you dare die on me!

Cut to -
The Anti-Christ being created and killing LILITH. Then he faces SAM.

SAMUEL:
We are the same.

SAM:
No, we're not...

SAMUEL:
You will see soon. Now is not the time...

Cut to -
SAM, falling over, dying.

RUBY:
Sam? Sam?! Don't die! Please don't die!

SAM groans. We hear his heartbeat slowing down and then, he flatlines.

RUBY:
SAM! SAM! NO!

DDS 1x21 – “Cowboys from Hell”
We see NATHANIEL heal SAM, restoring his human blood.

DDS 1x22 – “Thrones from the Wall”
SAMUEL and RUBY fight in the military base.

RUBY gets another kick to the face, SAMUEL reappears, looking over her fallen body.

SAMUEL:
There is no hope for you! Only death! (RUBY raises her dagger) What's this?

RUBY, with strength we've never seen in her before, leaps up and rams SAMUEL through the gut with the knife. He looks shocked for a moment, even gagging for effect, then laughs. The camera pans back a little, revealing that through illusion trickery, RUBY has stabbed herself in the gut.

Cut to -
SAM, who sees.

SAM:
No!

RUBY gags, staggering back as SAMUEL laughs. He reaches forward and grabs her by the throat.

SAMUEL:
Idiot girl...

RUBY:
(gagging) Go to hell...

SAMUEL:
See you there, you little bitch!

He throws RUBY an astonishing distance across the room, eventually she lands and SAM comes to her side.

SAM: (panicking)
Ruby? Ruby?

RUBY:
(slurred speech) Sam, I'm sorry...

SAM: (panicking)
Ruby, stay with me!

The prison holding LUCIFER opens, light bursts out and begins to spread.

Cut to -
RUBY, dying in SAM's arms.

RUBY:
Sam? Did I do good?

SAM:
Ruby...stay with me, okay? We'll get out of here and get you patched up, you'll be fine...

RUBY:
Not this time, Sammy...

SAM:
No, c'mon, Ruby, please...

The rain falls as RUBY breathes her last.

RUBY:
Get out there...you guys can beat 'em...

SAM:
Ruby, just rest, okay? We'll get you back and everything will be okay. Please? C'mon...

RUBY:
Go get 'em, champ...

With her last effort, she leans up and kisses him on the lips. Then, she lies back in his arms and is suddenly still.

SAM:
Ruby? Ruby? No!

Fade to Black. The music ends.

Title Card: “Now”
Fade Up – EXT. A Beautiful Garden – Day
A cheery musical tune plays over the previously described scene. The camera pans down the way to show a grassy meadow where we see SAM, sitting out wearing a salmon-colored polo and a pair of brown slacks, his hair styled neatly as he lies back on a blanket.

SAM:
(a beat, smiles) What a beautiful day!

RUBY: (OS)
I completely agree…

The camera pans over to show RUBY, wearing a sundress and a hat as she sits digging through a picnic basket. The two of them share a smile and they learn towards each other, sharing a passionate kiss.

Close Up -
SAM, as he pulls back. He exclaims in horror as he backs away.

Cut to -
RUBY. Her face has become horribly disfigured, with skin stripped away and bone exposed as maggots and flies crawl in and out of the openings. Her hat has vanished and her beautiful dress is now ruined with layers of grave dirt that it is caked in.

RUBY:
What’s wrong, lover?

Cut to – INT. A Motel Room –Night
SAM jolts up in bed, yelling out.

Cut to -
DEAN, who reaches over from his bed and turns on the bedside lamp.

DEAN:
Sam!

DEAN has pulled a pistol from under his pillow and already has it readied by the time he turns to see SAM, sitting motionless in bed.

DEAN:
(a beat) Sammy? (a beat) Sam, are you okay?

He gets up and walks over, seeing SAM staring at the far wall, trembling.

DEAN:
(a beat) Sam…

SAM:
It’s nothing, Dean…(a beat) Don’t worry about it…

SAM lies down and rolls back over, still shaking.

Cut to -
DEAN, looking both confused and concerned for his brother.

Close Up -
SAM’s face as he closes his eyes again.

SAM:
Just a dream…

We get a flash of the corpse that RUBY was in the dream before…

Series Title Card.

Fade to Black.

ACT ONE
Fade Up – INT. A House – Day
A young woman, barely past her twenties, stands at the front door, which she has just opened to reveal SAM, DEAN, and JO in FBI dress. They flash their badges.

DEAN:
We're Agents, Howard, Howard, and Fine. Mrs. Carmichael, isn’t it?

WOMAN:
Yes, sir.

DEAN:
Well, we have a few questions to ask you about your husband’s death, if you don’t mind.

WOMAN (WENDY CARMICHAEL):
Well, I’ve already gone over everything with the police…

DEAN: (Interrupting)
Ma’am, this is routine, I assure you. We just want to make sure that they didn’t miss anything that might lead to a breakthrough in the case.

WENDY: (confused)
But…my husband died of a heart attack…

SAM: (Interrupting)
Yes, ma’am, but this shouldn’t take too long…

WENDY:
(a beat, then nods) Alright, come in…

Cut to – INT. The Carmichael’s Living Room – Day
The place is filled with all assortments of knick-knacks and things. They are all seated around a table with several glass figurines.

WENDY:
Well, Jesse and I only got married two months ago. It was the happiest day of our lives.

She begins tearing up.

JO:
Ma’am, if you need some time, we’ll come back later…

WENDY:
(wiping her tears, shaking her head) No, no, I’m fine…it’s just…it’s hard. But...Jesse, he just...(she breaks down crying again) He was just so good to me!

She buries her hands in her face, DEAN signals for SAM to check the room, which he does. JO consoles WENDY.

JO:
Just tell us what you can, Mrs. Carmichael.

WENDY:
Well, it was...it was around eleven. I had already gone up to bed, I was waiting for Jesse to get home from the repair shop he's a mechanic at...and I heard him opening the door downstairs...and he sounded like he was shouting...

Cut to -
SAM, as WENDY talks. He examines the windowsill and around the floor for any signs of sulfur, checks any obvious places for hexbags, etc.

Cut to -
WENDY, JO, and DEAN.

DEAN:
At who?

WENDY:
I'm not sure...when I got downstairs, there was no one there...but...I could of sworn that someone else had been in the room...

JO:
Are you sure?

WENDY:
Oh, yes...he was yelling at someone...telling him that he didn't love them anymore...

DEAN:
Mrs. Carmichael, did your husband have any enemies?

WENDY:
What? No! (a beat, then a little bit more calmly) No, no. Jesse sometimes went out and made a little noise with his buddies from high school, but he never did anything sorted...

DEAN:
(a beat, he nods) Did any of his friends have any reason to be angry at him?

WENDY:
No, of course not... (a beat) Although...

Cut to -
SAM, still searching and finding nothing.

DEAN: (OS)
Although...what?

Cut to -
WENDY, looking as though she's remembering something.

WENDY:
Brent...Brent Malcolm, he was a friend of Jesse's, but they had a falling out at graduation...

JO:
And why is that?

WENDY:
Well...(she blushes a bit) Me...you see, Brent was an ex-boyfriend and...he broke up with me because he caught me with Jesse once...

DEAN:
Ah...

WENDY:
It was a complete misunderstanding, but -

DEAN:
Please, ma'am...it's not our job to judge, just to find out who's responsible.

JO:
You said he was yelling at someone when he came in that night?

WENDY:
Yes, that's right. Talking to someone saying things like he didn't love them anymore and that they needed to leave him alone...

DEAN looks over to SAM, who just shrugs. He looks back to WENDY.

DEAN:
Well, ma'am, thank you for your time, we'll be keeping in touch...

Cut to - EXT. The Carmichael's House - Day
DEAN, SAM, and JO return to the Impala.

JO:
So what are we thinking?

DEAN:
Maybe it's just a normal heart attack...I mean, that kind of thing does happen.

Close Up -
SAM's face. As DEAN and JO continue to talk, their voices fade up as SAM looks toward the camera.

Cut to -
SAM's POV. We see, in a long, black dress...MADISON, standing on the other side of the street. Other pedestrians pass her by, seeming not to notice her.

Cut to -
The previous close-up of SAM. His eyes get wide and he stares.

Cut to -
The shot from his POV of MADISON. Her blank face erupts into a smile as she looks at him.

Cut to -
The previous shot. Suddenly, we realize that DEAN is trying to speak to SAM.

DEAN: (fading in, clapping a hand on SAM's shoulder)
Sam!

SAM, distracted, jumps in surprise and looks over to DEAN and JO.

DEAN:
(moving his hand away) Are you okay, bro?

JO:
Sam?

SAM looks back toward where MADISON was standing.

Cut to -
SAM's POV again. MADISON is gone.

Cut to -
A shot of SAM, from head to toe, looking over. His face scrunches up in confusion.

DEAN:
Sam?

SAM: (shaking it off)
Yeah, I'm fine...

He turns back to DEAN and JO, who both look at their fellow hunter with great worry.

Fade to Black.

ACT TWO
Fade Up - INT. The Morgue - Day
SAM and DEAN enter, still in their FBI get-ups. They enter the morgue.

DEAN:
You sure you're up for this?

SAM:
Dean, I'm fine!

DEAN:
Okay, man. You've just been acting all Julianne Moore, lately.

SAM:
Yeah, without the milk allergy...

DEAN:
You know what I mean, dude. It's freakin' weird...

WOMAN's VOICE: (OS)
Can I help you gentlemen?

Both SAM and DEAN turn to face the camera.

Cut to -
JESS, sitting at the desk.

Cut to -
SAM, who reacts by running up to the desk and grabbing JESS by the throat.

DEAN:
Sam!

SAM:
(ignoring DEAN, to JESS) I don't know who you are...but I know a shapeshifter when I see one.

JESS:
Sir, what are you-?

SAM:
(Interrupts, yells) Stop this! Now! Stop following me and tormenting me! Just stop!

DEAN:
Sam!

DEAN finally manages to pull SAM off. JESS grabs her throat, rubbing it.

JESS:
I'm calling the police...

She reaches for the phone.

Cut to -
DEAN, pulling SAM away.

SAM:
Don't think we're done here! I'm gonna put a silver knife through your heart, you bitch! I swear it!

Cut to -
JESS. Once SAM and DEAN have left, she sets the receiver back on the phone and stands up.

Cut to -
A shot of JESS' feet as she leaves the receptionist desk. We see the former SECRETARY, lying motionless on the ground. She has clearly been dead for some time.

Cut to - EXT. The Morgue - Day
DEAN is pulling SAM back out to the Impala.

DEAN:
What the hell were you thinking?

SAM:
That was Jess! Jess is dead! Ergo, shapeshifter!

DEAN:
Or she could have just had a very striking resemblance.

SAM:
How the hell would you know?

DEAN:
(lifting up a silver knife with some of JESS' blood on it) Does this answer your question?

Cut to - INT. The Morgue - Day
JESS walks down the hallway, applying pressure to the cut that DEAN had given her when he pulled SAM away.

Cut to - INT. The Morgue, Break Room - Day
JESS enters into a room that is littered with the bodies of several people who worked there, all killed in a similar fashion to the secretary up front. At a table, MADISON and RUBY sit, playing cards.

MADISON:
Got any sixes?

RUBY:
Go fish.

JESS:
What the hell do you think you're doing?!

Both MADISON and RUBY look over.

MADISON:
Playing Go Fish...it's kind of fun...

JESS:
Do you think we have time for fun? When we are so close to the event?

RUBY:
Oh, yes! The event! The thing you've been gabbing on about for the past two millenniums. Right, got it...

JESS:
I don't think I like your tone, sister.

RUBY:
(sarcastic) I wish that was all I didn't like about you...

JESS:
Given the personality of the avatar you've been granted, I'll let that slide, this time...

RUBY:
(rolling eyes) Whatever...

JESS:
This event means more than just our immortality, girls.

MADISON:
Right, right...we give Sam Winchester over to Lucifer, then we get brownie points, whatever...

JESS:
Do neither of your appreciate the circumstances we are under? The world is changing. If we don't move quickly, we shall be left behind...

RUBY:
Yes, sister, we know that.

Cut to - INT. The Impala - Day
SAM and DEAN ride in silence for a time.

DEAN:
(a beat) Sam...

SAM:
(Interrupts) Dean, just don't.

DEAN:
Look, you can't -

SAM:
(Interrupts) Okay, let me try again. Shut up, Dean!

DEAN rolls his eyes and drives on.

Cut to - INT. The Morgue, Break Room - Day
RUBY, MADISON, and JESS are still talking.

JESS:
Lucifer will soon lay waste to this world...immortality will mean nothing if we are persecuted for our craft.

MADISON:
Yes, sister. We know.

JESS:
I know that your know. But I don't know that you appreciate the danger as much as you should. You in particular, Madison.

Cut to -
MADISON, looking to the ground.

Cut to -
RUBY.

RUBY:
Even if these dreams and visions work, there's no guarantee that Sam Winchester will break.

JESS:
That is true...but I have prepared for such a situation...

Cut to - EXT. The Motel - Day
The Impala pulls up and DEAN gets out. SAM remains.

DEAN:
(a beat) You comin'?

When SAM doesn't answer, or even acknowledge him, DEAN rolls his eyes and slams his door shut, walking toward the room.

CLOSE UP -
SAM's face. He looks both angry and mournful at once.

JESS: (V.O)
Tonight, we're going to put the final nail in Sam Winchester's coffin...

Fade to Black.

ACT THREE
Fade Up - INT. The Motel Room - Evening
We see the motel room from the TEASER, DEAN and JO sit across from one another.

JO:
And he just went nuts on her?

DEAN:
Went all Manson on her...

JO:
Well, are you sure it wasn't a shapeshifter?

DEAN:
I slit her arm with silver, got nothing.

JO:
So, maybe she's just a really convincing look alike.

SAM: (OS)
Or, maybe, you guys could quit talking about what happened like I'm not in the room.

The camera pans down to show SAM lying in bed, facing away from them.

DEAN:
Whenever you'd like to contribute, you're more than welcome to join. (SAM turns and glares at him) I'm just saying...

JO:
Look, fighting isn't getting us any closer to solving this case...

SAM:
What we need to do is go back to that morgue and kill her!

DEAN:
It's not a shapeshifter, Sam!

SAM:
Then it's a revenant!

DEAN:
I did the silver test, Sam, it's neither of them!

SAM:
Then it's got to be something else, a Trickster, maybe...

JO:
Maybe it's just guilt...(both SAM and DEAN look to her) What? Maybe Sam's just feeling guilty about not being able to save Jessica.

SAM:
I moved on after Jess' death a long time ago. I don't know why I'd still be feeling guilty.

DEAN:
Well, maybe that's not why. I mean, Ruby did just die...and, y'know...

He trails off. SAM visibly swallows.

SAM:
Yeah...

Cut to -
JO, apparently not having understood the full extent of SAM and RUBY's relationship, looks pained.

JO:
Maybe we should go back and have a look?

SAM:
(shakes his head) Not tonight. I'm exhausted...

DEAN:
Fine, tomorrow night, then.

JO:
Yeah, guess I'd better head back to my room and get some sleep...

JO exits, closing the door behind her.

DEAN:
So...yeah, (a beat) you gonna have any of those weird dreams tonight?

SAM:
(rolling his eyes) I'll have to go to sleep before I do that.

He rolls back over, looking away from DEAN.

Fade to -
The alarm clock on the bedside table. It now reads, in digital display "3:14".

Pan over -
We see SAM, apparently having a restless night. He sits up in bed.

Cut to -
SAM, looking over at DEAN.

Cut to -
DEAN, rolling over in bed.

DEAN: (in his sleep)
Damn! (incoherent muttering) You can do that with your legs?

Close Up -
SAM's face as he rolls his eyes.

Pan around -
Still showing SAM's face. RUBY has appeared behind him. After a moment, SAM freezes as though sensing he's being watched, and turns to her. Her hair falling free to her shoulders and she's wearing a red nightie.

RUBY: (cheerful)
Hey, Sam.

SAM:
I'm dreaming again, aren't I?

RUBY:
(shrugs) I don't know. It would be your dream, wouldn't it?

SAM:
So are you gonna go zombie on me again?

RUBY:
(face scrunching up in confusion) What?

SAM:
You know, never mind.

RUBY:
Yeah, so...what's on your mind?

SAM:
(sighs deeply) I don't know anymore...I'm at the point where I can't trust you.

RUBY:
(scoffs, then sarcastically) Gee, thanks...

SAM:
(smiling sadly) It's true, though. You could be one of them.

RUBY:
Them? Wow, Sam. You're really going off the deep end, aren't you?

SAM:
I kind of have a right to be. I mean, c'mon, I hunt monsters! That's what I do for a living! Any sane person would have gone off the deep end and taken a shovel along with them!

RUBY:
(shrugs) Again, true...but, it's what you do.

SAM:
Yeah, I guess...

He stops, looking away.

RUBY:
C'mon, tell me.

SAM:
I couldn't save you, Ruby...I couldn't save Madison, or Jess...

RUBY:
Think about all the people you do save, doing what you do...

SAM:
I can't...not when I can't save the ones I...

RUBY:
(a beat, then finishes for him) That you love?

SAM:
Yeah.

RUBY:
Sam, it wasn't like you could've saved me. I was trying to save you.

SAM:
But it's not just that. Jess, if I had told her, told her what I'd done, what we did...or Madison, if I had just worked a little harder, I could've maybe found a cure for her...

RUBY:
Sam, some things just happen.

SAM:
(a beat) I don't believe that, Ruby.

RUBY:
Well, some things happen. Some of them are bad... (she runs her finger along his arm) Some of them are...good...

SAM looks to her. Before he can speak, RUBY kisses him. Giving in, SAM begins to undress her as RUBY pushes him against the headboard, not breaking the kiss.

SAM:
(breaking it off) Wait, wait...Dean can see...

RUBY:
(looks over at DEAN, smirks a bit) Let him watch...

The kiss resumes for some very long, fanboys-will-need-a-cold-shower-ly long minutes before.

Close Up -
The two of them, kissing, profile shot.

RUBY:
Sam...

SAM:
(gnawing gently at her neck) Yeah?

RUBY:
You're the easiest person I've ever trapped...

SAM:
(a beat) What?!

Pan back to - INT. A Warehouse - Night
We see that SAM and RUBY have somehow been transported to a warehouse. SAM's hands have been restrained by chains to posts nearby, now lying on a table of stone.

SAM:
(struggling) Let me go!

Cut to -
RUBY, giving him a long, passionate kiss before pulling away.

RUBY:
Sorry, Sammy, we can't do that.

Cut to -
JESS and MADISON, entering the room. They are scantily clad as is RUBY.

Close Up -
A reaction shot of SAM.

Cut to -
RUBY, JESS, and MADISON.

JESS:
Hello, Sam...it's been a while...

SAM:
This isn't real.

MADISON:
Oh, it's all real, baby. And when this night is over, only the three of us are going to walk out of this room alive.

SAM:
(laughs) Oh, what are you gonna do? Screw me to death?

JESS:
(smirks) Well, there's an idea! (she, RUBY, and MADISON laugh) No, but really, we are going to have to sacrifice you, Sammy...but not before we have a little fun with you...

Close Up -
SAM as the girls descend on him. He has a mixture of arousal and horror on his features.

Fade to Black.

Author's Note: Sammy fangirls, seeth with anger...seeth with it! ...yeah, sorry you had to read that...

All I gotta say is, Poor Sam...or should I be saying "Way to go, Sam!" ? I don't know...tough call...

ACT FOUR
Fade Up - INT. The Motel Room - Day
We fade up to DEAN, waking up. He looks over to SAM's bed and finds it empty.

DEAN:
(gets up, looking around) Sam?

He checks the bathroom and then walks over to the window, pulling away the curtain. Seeing that the Impala has not moved, Dean picks up his cell phone from the nearby table and calls Sam.

SAM: (over the phone)
This is Kip Wilson. I'm not available right now, but leave your name and number -

DEAN: (Interrupts, hangs up)
Dammit, Sammy...

Cut to - EXT. JO's Room - Day
DEAN, now fully dressed, is knocking on the door to Room Three.

DEAN:
Jo! Wake up!

JO:
(a beat, then groggily) Five more minutes...

DEAN:
Jo, Sam's gone missing. We need to go look for him.

The door opens a bit and JO pokes her head out.

JO:
Let me get dressed...

The door closes again. DEAN sighs.

Fade Up - INT. The Warehouse - Day
SAM is still chained to the stone altar.

JESS: (OS)
There he is...sleeping like a baby.

Pan to -
RUBY, JESS, and MADISON, now fully clothed.

MADISON:
That was...pleasing...

RUBY:
Yes, yes it was.

JESS:
We need to focus on the mission, girls.

RUBY:
What's the matter, "Jessica"? Draining a man's life force with your sisters just not give you the high it used to give you?

JESS:
Of course it does, but we need to focus on the task at hand.

RUBY:
You're right. We have only tonight to perform the ritual...

MADISON:
There's still the matter of Dean and little Jo to take care of.

JESS:
Forget about them. Lucifer only wants Sam.

MADISON:
So he doesn't want the Champion of God and the Harvelle Girl who have caused him so much trouble?

RUBY:
(to JESS) She has a point, sister. If we bring Lucifer all three of them...then we're not only going to be given a free pass, we're gonna be Queens of Hell when the apocalypse comes!

JESS:
(a beat, she turns away) Perhaps you're right...

Close Up -
As JESS turns around, revealing the face of ELLEN HARVELLE.

ELLEN:
I will handle Jo...

Cut to -
MADISON and RUBY. They are grinning.

ELLEN:
(to MADISON) You can handle Dean, can't you?

Cut to -
MADISON. She closes her eyes and her skin begins to shift, her body becoming that of LISA BRAEDAN, DEAN's old flame.

LISA:
Yeah, I don't think it will be too hard...

Cut to - INT. The Motel Room - Day
DEAN and JO are working with the computer.

JO:
Do you even know what you're doing?

DEAN: (clearly frustrated)
No, that's why I have Sam for this crap!

He fiddles with it a bit more before he growls in frustration and hits the keyboard.

JO:
Oh, yeah! That's going to help!

DEAN:
At least I'm not standing around looking bored!

JO: (yelling)
You have a lot of class, don't you, you son of a bitch!

DEAN: (yelling)
I don't have time for this!

They are now face to face, their noses almost literally touching. There is high tension until there is a knock at the door.

DEAN: (backing away)
I'll...I'll get that...

JO looks away, biting her lip, as DEAN goes to answer the door.

DEAN:
Who is it?

ELLEN:
It's me.

There is a pause. DEAN and JO exchange looks of confusion.

DEAN:
It's who.

ELLEN:
Dean Winchester, open this door or you'll be pulling my foot out of your ass when I do get in there!

JO:
(softly) There's no way that can really be her!

DEAN gestures over to the table, where the Colt is laying. After a second, JO has grabbed it and hands it to him.

DEAN:
Ellen, hang on a second!

He opens the door and pulls the hammer back, ready to fire.

Cut to -
The door opening to reveal LISA.

LISA:
Dean!

DEAN pulls back the gun, seeing her.

DEAN:
Lisa, what are you doing here? How did you find me?

LISA:
That really isn't important right now. (she walks in, DEAN watching after her) I need your help, Dean. (she sees JO) Oh, I see...you're busy...

JO:
Uh, no...no he's really not. (to DEAN) Who is she again?

DEAN:
Lisa Braedan. An old friend of mine...

JO:
By friend you mean someone you've joined groins with, right?

LISA:
Oh, you have no idea, sweetheart...

JO glares at her.

DEAN:
So you tracked me down here, why?

LISA:
Because we need your help...

Cut to -
The door. ELLEN enters.

DEAN:
Ellen?

He raises the Colt, pointing it at her.

ELLEN:
Don't even think about it, Winchester.

JO:
(in disbelief) Mom!

ELLEN:
(smiles) Hello, Joanna Beth.

DEAN:
This can't be real... (when JO moves toward ELLEN, almost in a daze) Jo, don't!

It is too late, JO gets too close and ELLEN grabs her and restrains her, holding her at bay with RUBY's knife.

DEAN:
(aiming the Colt) Let her go!

ELLEN:
Sure, if you want her headless! Now put down the gun before I tear a few more orifices in her face...

DEAN hesitates, then reluctantly puts the Colt on the table.

DEAN:
I'm sorry, Jo.

JO:
So am I.

Moving quickly, JO knees ELLEN in the groin and flips her over her shoulder. Grabbing RUBY's knife, JO puts it through ELLEN's throat. ELLEN's body sparks before degrading into a more demonic-looking visage, complete with the horns and the tail, before dissolving into ash.

JO:
(stunned, shaking) I...I killed Mom...

Cut to -
DEAN, who grabs the Colt and pulls it on LISA.

DEAN:
Succubus...I really should have guessed...the dreams Sam's been having...the Jessica lookalike...

LISA:
Wow, you aren't half bad, Dean...

She closes her eyes, her form returning to that of MADISON.

MADISON:
Took you long enough...

DEAN glares at her, pointing the Colt at her head.

DEAN:
Where's Sam?

MADISON smirks, apparently keeping tight lips.

Fade to Black.

ACT FIVE
Fade Up - INT. Sam and Dean's Room - Day
DEAN still holds MADISON at gunpoint.

DEAN:
I don't think you understand, there are six bullets left in this thing, and you've got four limps I can blast 'em through before blowing your freakin' head off!

MADISON:
I don't think you understand, you've killed one of my sisters...your brother is as good as dead.

DEAN looks to JO with a smile and a slight laugh, then turning and ramming his elbow into MADISON's face.

DEAN:
Next time, I'm gonna break your nose...so, where's Sam?

Cut to - INT. The Warehouse - Day
RUBY is standing nearby, watching over SAM.

RUBY:
You aren't struggling.

SAM:
Yeah? So...

RUBY:
You make this so unappealing...

SAM:
Whatever...

RUBY:
I figured after last night, you'd be complacent, but this is ridiculous...

SAM: (interrupting)
You know, for a man-tormenting, face-stealing bitch you really are bad at what you do...

RUBY:
(a beat, then) I'm sorry...

SAM:
Ooh, being raped by three women at once! You couldn't be more pathetic!

RUBY:
(laughs) Oh, please...I was tormenting people when Christ was dying on the Cross...and I've heard every single survival tactic that men try...

SAM:
Bullcrap.

RUBY:
Really? That line you gave me about how I'm pathetic? 2,381.

SAM:
What?

RUBY:
I've heard that 2,381 times.

SAM:
You've got to be kidding me...

RUBY:
(smirk) 309.

SAM:
You know, you're a lot like her...I mean, as much as you could be.

RUBY:
Yeah...I think I chose this form well...possibly...

SAM:
But she wasn't evil.

RUBY:
(smirks) She had you going there for a bit, didn't she, Sam? You were on the fence for a while...

SAM:
I'm sorry, I thought you were going to kill me...

RUBY:
Why bother? Lucifer's going to take care of that when I hand him over to you.

SAM:
Lucifer?

RUBY:
Oh, yeah...you guys unlocked the cage...killing off the last two of his VIPs...nice work, by the way...starting the end of the world...

SAM:
Oh, so what, it's Ice Cream Sunday for the demon world?

RUBY:
Not at all, Sammy...

SAM:
Don't call me Sammy.

RUBY:
She did...didn't she?

SAM:
You can't know that.

RUBY:
(laughs) Oh, c'mon, Sam. I got my form because of what's in your head. Everything you remember about Ruby is in my head now...

SAM:
Yeah...except you must've gotten a few of the details mixed up...she wouldn't do this...

RUBY:
Oh, no, I just know what she'd do in any situation. I'm still in control...

Close Up -
RUBY's hand as she picks up a sacrifical knife from the nearby table.

SAM: (OS)
Are you?

The hand stops. The camera pans up to show RUBY, looking down at the knife.

RUBY:
Of course I am.

SAM: (OS)
I'm skeptical.

Cut to -
SAM, strapped to the stone altar, looking smug. RUBY runs up to him, looming over him with the knife.

RUBY: (angrily)
If it weren't for the reward when I hand you over to Him, I'd kill you right now!

SAM:
Then do it...just know that Dean and Jo are going to kill you afterward...

RUBY glares, staring SAM down.

Cut to - INT. SAM and DEAN's Room - Day
DEAN still has MADISON at gunpoint.

DEAN:
Sam. Location. Now.

MADISON:
No.

DEAN:
(putting the Colt up to her head) Now. I won't ask again.

MADISON:
You won't kill me unless I talk, and I'm not talking...

Suddenly, DEAN hits the gun. As the bullet hits home, MADISON's body sparks and reverts to it's succubus state.

DEAN:
Wrong, bitch...

He glares down at her corpse and then looks to JO.

JO:
(angrily) What about Sam?!

Cut to - INT. The Warehouse - Day
RUBY is still glaring at SAM, the knife pressed against his throat.

SAM:
C'mon...kill me...

Cut to -
A shot of SAM's hand. He is slowly slipping out of the chains.

Cut to -
The previous shot. As RUBY raises the knife to finally do him in, SAM's hands are freed and he grabs her hand, ramming her against the wall. Seizing the knife, he pulls it from her grasp and puts it to her throat.

RUBY:
(laughs) Can you kill me Sammy? (SAM hesitates) All three of those women...you killed them...

SAM:
(tearing up) I...I didn't...

RUBY:
Oh, yes, you did...Jess, Madison, Ruby...they all died because you couldn't save them.

SAM:
That's...that's not the same thing.

RUBY:
(laughs) It might has well be, Sam. That demon blood is gone...but you're just...(she laughs even more) You're as much a monster as you were...

SAM, overcome with anger and sorrow, rams the knife through her chest. RUBY's eyes go wide as she dies. As her body collapses on SAM, returning to it's succubus state, SAM holds her, sobbing uncontrollably.

Fade Out - EXT. A Field - Night

Music: "Dust In The Wind" - Kansas

We see a pyre set up as a body burns upon it. SAM stands nearby with DEAN and JO. They all gaze into the fire.

Close Up -
SAM. As he watches, we can see his tears in the light of the fire as he weeps silently.

Flashback - 1x01 "Pilot"
We get a grayscale flashback of SAM and JESS celebrating SAM's LSAT victory. They kiss.

Cut to -
The previous shot of SAM. His features harden, but the tears do not stop.

Flashback - 2x15 "Heart"
We see SAM and MADISON, selected clips of them talking, then their love scene, and then the scene where SAM has to put her down.

Cut to -
The shot of SAM. Tears continue to fall as he exhales in agony.

Flashback - Various Episodes
We get shots of RUBY, fighting demons alongside the Winchesters.

Flashback - 4x20 "Am I Evil?"
SAM and RUBY's love scene.

Flashback - DDS 1x22 "Thrones from the Wall"
RUBY, in SAM's arms as she dies.

Cut to -
SAM. He is broken now, though still is silent. Tears are falling in droves now.

Cut to -
DEAN, who looks over at SAM. He does not speak, knowing that SAM would not respond anyway. After a few moments, the music starts to fade and SAM walks back to the Impala.

Cut to -
JO, walking over to DEAN.

JO:
Do you think he's going to be okay?

DEAN looks to SAM, then looks to JO with a sad expression. The camera pans in on DEAN as he looks back to SAM, the concern for his brother easy to see.

Fade to Black.

End Credits.

Great job! :cheer I loved this story. Poor Sam, being haunted like that and having all (what he considers) his past failures thrown in his face. Hopefully Dean can help him through all his pain and depression. Keep up the great work! :thumbsup

In the next episode, two men wake up in a motel room with no idea of how they got there...and the motel staff being very dead...
