EXT. ROAD, MEXICO CITY, NIGHT
The hunters stop the entourage just at the border to the city. Bobby gets out of his truck and goes to the Impala.
We need to split up. Too obvious if we come in all together. No more than two or three cars together at once. Take back streets if you can.
He walks along the line, passing the message, then returns to his truck.
The hunters drive into the city and split.

EXT. WHITE HOUSE - EVENING
INT. OVAL OFFICE
Reynolds is standing next to the main window, looking outside. The lights are dimmed inside. A KNOCK sounds at the door.
Reynolds turns from the window to see Felix.
Do you have any news for me?
Famine is meeting with the Mexican President tonight. So far, all is going according to plan. Things are out of sequence as we were expecting him in earlier, but we moved the South African President up on the list.
Very good. Any word from Gates and Rhodes?
Inform me when the Mexican President is taken care of.
Of course, Mr. President.
Felix ducks out of the room. Reynolds GRINS and turns back to the window.
EXT. MEXICAN PRESIDENTIAL HOME - NIGHT
The hunters surround the house. Some are spreading a liquid along the grass as they walk closer to the building.
Dean, Sam, Michael and Kate are together. Sam keeps glancing at Dean, worried.
We see other hunters on the roof of the house. A few guards are sitting at the base of a tree, firmly tied and gagged. One hunter watches over them.
PAN UP to the roof of the house to reveal a GIANT DEVILíS TRAP being painted on the roof of the house by two of the hunters.
Dean is moving fast across the ground, crouched low. Sam is having a hard time keeping up.
I canít wait around for you, Sammy. Iím invincible.
Dean swings up to the walls of the house and scales them easily. Sam looks on in disbelief before realizing that he cannot follow.
What the hell...
Michael scowls, at a loss. He looks at Sam, wanting to tell him - doesn't. Dean slips into one of the upstairs windows.
Dean! No! Bobby said we have to wait!
It's too late. Dean's disappeared.
Dean quietly walks through the hallway, alert to every sound. He swings his rifle around to his hands from where it had been strapped to his back. He does not use a flashlight, even in the darkness, and it is apparent that he does not need one.
He comes upon a guard who is half asleep in front of a doorway and quickly knocks him out and drags him out of the way.
Suddenly, he freezes as he hears a voice from behind him.
Dean, what a pleasant surprise.
He turns to see Frank standing in the hallway behind him. He cannot see Frank's face because of the light coming through the window, but he raises his rifle.
Who are you?
I think you know who I am.
Known by that name or one or two others Ö but, yes.
What are you doing here?
You wouldnít be here if you didnít know what I was doing here.
Iím not stupid you know.
Well, then I guess you know why weíre here.
To kill me, of course.
But I have the advantage now.
An invisible force rips Deanís rifle out of his hands and slams him through the door behind him.
Sam runs up to Bobby.
Bobby! Deanís gone inside!
That idiot of a Winchester! Heíll ruin our plan.
Bobby, Sam, Michael and Kate run towards the house.
Dean is groaning as he pushes off the debris that has landed on top of him. Frank walks over to him.
Funny Ö normally you humans wouldnít be able to take a blow like that.
He leans closer and sniffs.
Ah Ö cheating, now, are you?
Dean YELLS and jumps at Frank. He pulls out a can of insect spray and sprays it in the demonís face. Frank SCREAMS and backs away.
The hunters begin to break in.
Dean and Frank are in an all out hand to hand fight. Bugs begin to stream off of the demon and Dean is frantically using the bug spray to ward them off. Frank ROARS and lunges towards Dean as the "hunters" ENTER and begin to run towards them.
GUNSHOTS rip through the demon and bugs pour out of his body. Dean narrowly misses being hit by the friendly fire.
The bugs turn and head towards the "hunters." Two are overwhelmed and their bodies fall to the floor. Two more cannot escape the bugs and fall, dead.
Sam is at the door and scans the room, looking for Dean.
Dean sees Sam but refuses to answer. Red hot RAGE is all we can see on his face. He tackles Frank and the two CRASH through the window next to them, falling two stories to the ground below.
Sam runs to the window and sees Dean unhurt, picking himself up. Frank is also unhurt.
Bobby comes up next to Sam, breathless.
Well, I guess we know the Devilís Trap didnít work. The guy didnít even act like he could feel it!
Weíve got to get down there.
Dean is sprinting across the grass towards the edge of the property. Frank follows, the bugs all streaming towards him and absorbing themselves in his clothes.
The hunters are running towards the main door. Sam is leading them.
Come on! Heís outside!
PAN UP to show Dean fleeing from Frank, running towards an open field. Frank begins to run after him. The hunters spread out behind the pair, following more cautiously.
Dean reaches the open field and stops. Frank stops a few meters away from him.
You canít stop me.
I can try.
Dean pulls out a matchbox from his pocket, lights a match, and drops it to the ground. Flames rush across the grass. We PAN SLOWLY UP to reveal that Dean and Frank are standing in a Devilís Trap made out of flame.
(shouting over roar of flames)
Clever. So what now, Winchester?
You get your last rites.
Dean backs out of the Devilís Trap and begins to RECITE the exorcism in Latin. He has it memorized.
Sam and the other hunters come up behind him, spreading out in a circle around Frank.
(starting to struggle)
Itís too late, you know. What we have set in motion will change the future for everyone.
Youíre ALL going to die.
Suddenly, Frank BURSTS as bugs come streaming out of him. The hunters stand their ground and spray insect killer. Some of the hunters have flame torches. Despite their efforts, several more hunters fall to the bugs. Men are screaming, staggering around and flapping uselessly at the bugs covering their bodies. Other hunters try and help their comrades, but for some, there is nothing they can do.
Sam doesn't react, emotionless - drained.
Gradually, things begin to die down. The bugs litter the ground at their feet.
Bobby goes around, checking the bodies.
Joe ENTERS the scene and comes running up from the house.
The Presidentís fine. I spoke to his bodyguards. Theyíre moving him to a more secure location.
How can you just speak to his bodyguards?
My Dad works for the Mexican government. They know me.
How many dead at the house?
At least four.
And thatís seven out here.
We wouldnít have had any casualties if things had gone according to plan.
Michael glares at Dean, Dean shrugs it off.
I wouldnít take it back.
Michael takes a swing at Dean and hits him square in the jaw. Dean rolls with the blow then slowly turns towards him, his eyes blazing with anger.
I wouldnít have done that if I were you.
Sam rushes over to the pair and pushes Dean back, standing between them.
Stop! Just stop! Itís over. We donít need to be fighting about this.
But heís right. We probably wouldnít have lost these guys if it wasnít for your brother. Heís a loose cannon. I donít want him with me on anymore of this business.
Yeah. Whatís your problem, anyway? You donít just go along with a well thought out plan and just blow it.
Next time I see you, Winchester, it will be you and me. Then weíll see what happens to a guy who canít follow orders. The lives of those men are on your head. My hands are clean of it.
The hunters grumble their dissent. Dean has no remorse and looks absolutely defiant. Sam is worried. Kate watches on saddened, Dean looks over towards her. Kate looks away, Michael ushers her off. Sam follows. Dean's left - alone.
PAN UP to reveal the smoking Devilís Trap and the hunters spread out over the bug covered grass.
AT A DISTANCE
Kate stops, looks back.
What's gotten into him?
I don't know, I thought it was just alcohol, but now? I don't know...
It's called exostrengomene.
Oh my God --
It's not alcohol, all we can hope for is he'll be able to quit before it gets too bad. Only way that is, I think he needs to hit rock bottom.
You knew? And you didn't tell me?
He promised me not to.
How the hell can you just --
I was trying to help, talk sense into him...
Plenty good that did.
Sam walks off. Michael sighs, stares at the ground. Kate comforts him.EXT. MEXICO ROAD - EARLY MORNING (The needle and the spoon - lynyrd skynyd)
The hunterís entourage is on the road. The Impala follows last in the line.INT. IMPALA
Sam is driving. Dean is sitting in the front seat. His entire demeanor has changed.
Iím sorry, Sam.
Those men Ö Itís all my fault. I donít know what I was thinking.
I know what you were thinking. You were thinking ESM.
Michael told you.
I don't know what hurts the most. That my brother is a junkie or that you felt like you couldn't tell me the truth.
I didn't want you to think about it, to worry about --
You DONíT think when youíre on that stuff, Dean. Rationale goes out the window. Thank God we were able to defeat Famine, otherwise I donít think any of us here would be watching this sun rise.
I wonít touch it. I wonít touch it again. I didnít realize it before, but what I did last night cost the lives of some good men. Men that didnít deserve to die because of me. We need these guys, Sam. Without them, itís just us.
I donít think I can do just us.
Youíre joking, right? Everyone whoís ever been addicted to drugs has said that at some point. It doesnít work, Dean.
I will. I promise. I wonít touch it. Never again.
Okay Ö Iíll hold you to it, Dean.
Dean says nothing, then after a moment, he reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a syringe and a bottle of ESM. He sits for a long moment, looking at the drug, then rolls down the window and tosses it outside.EXT. ROAD
The bottle and syringe lie on the pavement as the Impala disappears into the horizon. After a moment, a truck drives over the items, crushing them.EXT. WHITE HOUSE - DAY
INT. OVAL OFFICE
Reynolds sits at his desk, Felix and Legion standing before him. The President is not happy.
Famine is gone?
We believe the hunters had something to do with it.
We found two Devilís Traps. One on the roof of the Presidential home and the other in a field nearby. The one in the field was made with fire. There was evidence of a fight. Many dead on the hunterís side. No bodies.
They had planned this?
It appears so.
Reynolds is seething in anger. He stands from the desk and walks to the window, trying to contain himself.
You know what this means.
My lord Ö the world leaders are no longer willing to meet with you.
They're acting superstitious.
Many are saying that the others who have died were murdered by the U.S. Government. The others are afraid.
There will be no meeting.
He turns from the window. A darker look is on his face.
Itís time for Plan B.
