Before you read:
-Gordon is not dead, nor did he get turned into a vamp, he’s still in jail.
-The guy that Gordon kills when he turned into a vamp, died on a hunt.
-This is slightly going with the storyline of what’s going on right now in season 5, but only up until episode 10.
That’s all I can think of for now. If you have any questions I will try and answer them to you directly or in the post following your question. :) Enjoy!
As the sun set Dean awoke to see the familiar road to Bobby’s house. He looked over at Sam, who was in the driver’s seat; his eyes were fixated on the road. Sam had been driving ever since the Ellen and Jo incident. Dean blamed himself and as he drove he saw their faces. He didn’t know what to do with himself. When he tried to go to sleep, it was like Hell all over again. So he ‘slept’ as Sam drove.
The car rides had been silent, neither of them wanted to talk to about what happened. Sam was dealing with the whole saying ‘yes’ to Lucifer thing, and now Dean. As if he didn’t have enough on his plate. Angels want him alive and willing to say yes, demons want him dead and to pieces, and he still had others to save. Everyone just wanted something and Dean was just growing tired.
“So are you staying awake this time?” Sam asked his focus not leaving the road. He knew that his brother hadn’t really been sleeping and that he was having a hard time dealing with what was going on. Of course Dean would never say how he truly felt about Jo, Sam knew that.
“Yeah,” he said sitting up, “Bobby say what he wanted?” Dean asked trying to keep his mind off of everything else.
“Nope. Cause Bobby didn’t call.” Sam said looking over at Dean hoping he didn’t have to go into too much detail. Dean opened his mouth to ask Sam who, and shut it quickly when he saw the look on Sam’s face. That said it all. Addison was the one who called.
“Great…” Dean said with no enthusiasm in his voice whatsoever. He had been avoiding Addison since the whole Jo incident. They had been somewhat together since they hunted down a demon together at her school. Of course whenever Bobby was around, they had to keep it quiet; Bobby knew, but it made him uncomfortable. The last thing Dean wanted was to get shot by Bobby. They pulled up to the house and they saw Addison’s car outside. Dean sighed loudly and Sam just shook his head.
“You couldn’t avoid her forever Dean.”
“Shutup Sam!” Dean snapped back as he got out of the car unwillingly. He didn’t want to talk about what happened. He didn’t want to hear whatever Addison had to say. As they entered the house, Dean prepped himself for whatever was coming. In the kitchen there was Addison, her back was to them, but he knew it was her. Her long auburn hair stopping at the middle of her back, and everything about the way she moved.
“Took you long enough.”
She said without turning around to face them. She was mixing some kind of drink and acted as if they weren’t even there, even though she was speaking to them. Dean looked to Sam trying to tell him to say something to her. Sam just shrugged and left the room. At that moment Addison turned around. She looked Dean over for a moment still unsure of what to say to him. She bit her bottom lip for a second, then crossed her arms and rested her butt against the kitchen counter. She just stared at him, working through her head what she was going to say to him. Dean gave her a confused uncomfortable look before clearing his throat.
“So are we just gonna sit here and stare at each other for another hour, or do you need something?” Addison rolled her eyes and sighed heavily.
“Fine. Why haven’t you returned my calls?” She asked raising her left eyebrow.
“Been busy.” Dean replied not missing a beat.
“Huh…whatever. I don’t wanna do this right now.” She said turning around back to her drink. She stirred it for a minute then turned back to him drinking it.
“Hey, you called us. So whatever it is you want…spit it out. The apocalypse is kinda happening and some of us have work to do.” He said with such bitterness in his voice. He had never spoken to her like that before, and she was somewhat stunned.
“Dad’s the one you wanna talk to. You know where to find him.” She said making her way past him without looking at him. Dean followed behind for a moment until he turned into the living room area where Bobby usually was.
When Dean entered the room, Bobby looked up at and gave him a confused look, then turned his attention to Sam who just nodded and left the room. Dean didn’t pay too much attention to Sam’s leaving; he just made his way to the chair across from Bobby where Sam had been sitting.
Sam knew that Addison had probably gone out back to the junkyard, she usually when there when she needed to get away from whoever was in the house. When he walked outside, he spotted her immediately, drink in hand staring out into the junkyard.
“Ya know, if you guys don’t talk things are just gonna get worse.” Addison smiled faintly at this and turned to face Sam. He could see the hurt in her eyes, she was jealous of Dean’s feelings for Jo and he knew that she had taken it hard when Dean told her that she couldn’t go with them to fight the devil. He smiled at her taking note of her facial features. Next to Dean she was his best friend, they were so much alike. Neither of them wanted the hunter’s life, they just wanted to be normal. However, it seemed that fate had brought them into the business after all.
“I just wish he’d talk to me.” Sam laughed slightly at this.
“Addison, it’s Dean. When has he ever been the talking type?” She nodded knowing he was right. “It hasn’t been easy on him. He hasn’t slept at all. It’s like nothing’s helping him deal.”
“What am I supposed to do Sam?” She asked taking another sip of her drink.
“Just give him some time. He’ll come around…he always does. So vamps huh?” Sam said changing the subject to what they had been called there for in the first place.
“Yeah, I’ve been tracking them for a few weeks now, but there’s more of them then I thought there was.” She noticed Sam’s immediate look of uncertainty as she spoke, “Don’t worry…they’re the bad kind. Like I said…I’ve been tracking them for weeks.”
As Sam opened his mouth to say something to Addison, the backdoor creaked and Dean was in the doorway. Addison’s gaze moved over Dean’s form and she smiled faintly at him. Sam looked surprised as he turned to see his brother in the doorway.
“Sam, we better get going.” Sam nodded and began to move towards the door, but Addison had grabbed his arm holding him back.
“You’re not leaving me here.” She said sternly.
“Actually we are.” Dean said not letting Sam get a word in.
“It’s my hunt. I just need you two as backup.” She said letting go of Sam and moving towards Dean.
“You’re not going.” He said not moving an inch.
“Yes I am. I’m going whether you like it or not Dean.”
(That’s all for now. Hope you like it. More to come!)
