~Chapter One- Asking for Permission~

Two weeks. Four days. Twelve hours. forty-five minutes and fifty-two seconds- and counting. That's how long the Winchester brothers have been staying at Bobby's to work on their new hunt. The hunt is about a spirit who kidnaps girls and keeps them in the mansion until they starve of starvation. All the brothers need to do is find out why the spirit is doing this.

Sam and Dean were sitting at the table with research for their hunt scattered about and a large mug of warm coffee in thier hands. They've been racking thier brains for nearly two hours for reasons why the spirit would do this but they couldn't come up with any logical explaination. Suddenly, their focus shifted when they heard the stairs creek as someone came down them and than Bobby's daughter came into the room.

Alice Singer may be only nineteen years old but she was mature for her age. She had long chocolate copper hair that curled in natural ringets and the brightest emerald coloured eyes anyone has ever seen. She stood at five feet and two inches. She had a slender and curvy body figure that every guy dreamed that their own girlfriends' had her body shape. Alice was a smart girl who has a great ability to understand another's point of view. She may be smart but she has a wicked right hook and can kick anyone's butt if she needs to. She was raised by her father and was around the Winchester brothers when they were younger, so she could tolerate the opposite sex. In fact she was very close to her father and the brothers- who were like her older brothers.

"Hey, whatcha guys working on?" she asked as she came to stand on the other side of the table.
"A new hunt" Sam replied "about a spirit who kidnaps girls."
"Okay, so what has you two so....puzzled?"
"We can't figure out why he's kidnapping them" Dean added.
"Well, maybe you guys need bait..."
Both brothers looked up from the research to look at her.
"No, you're not going to be bait Alice" Dean told her firmly.
"Why not?"
"We're not putting you in danger" Sam added.
"Do you two have any other ideas? I didn't think so. Send me in there, I can find out what you guys can't."
"No, we're not putting you in danger" Dean repeated his brother's line from before.
"Look, you guys need to torch this Casper, right? You won't find another girl willing to get kidnapped by this Casper so you might as well use me."
"And if you get hurt, you Dad will kick our asses" Dean added.
"I won't get hurt. We'll go in the house during the day and you guys can watch my back while we go through the house."
Dean and Sam looked at each other and had their famous silent coversation through thier eyes before they turned to look at their 'little sister'.
"Alright but now we've got another problem. How are we going to get your Dad to agree?"
"You just leave that to me" she said with a sweet smile.

The brothers looked at each other before they followed the young women into the kitchen where they knew Bobby was grabbing a beer.
"Hi Daddy" Alice greeted "Can I have a sip?" she asked innoncently as she nodded to the bottle in his hand.
Bobby scoffed "Nope. Not until you're of age Missy. But nice try through. How about you boys, grab yourself a beer. How's the hunt coming?"
"Well, we have most of the info we need but there are some parts we're still..um...fuzzy on" Sam answered and Dean went to grab a beer from the fridge.
"What's fuzzy?"
"We have everything but the reason why this Casper is doing this" Dean answered and he popped the cap off of the glass bottle.
"That sucks. How are we going to find that out?"
"That's where I come in" Alice spoke up.
"What are you talking about girl?"
"This ghost is going after girls around my age, they can use me to find out what he wants-"
"No. Out of the question."
"Daddy-"
"Alice. You are not goin' on this hunt."
"Why not? This is the only break Sam and Dean have."
"I'm sure they can find a loop hole for their little problem."
"Actually, as bright and smart as we are, we can't" Dean put in before he took a swing.
"We promise to keep her safe" Sam added.
Bobby looked between each brother before he looked back at his daugher, "I dunno. This will be your first hunt without me as back up since I have to go for a job early tomorrow morning."
"I know. Besides Sam and Dean will be there to back me up. Please, Daddy? They need me."
Bobby looked at the Winchester brothers once more, "Promise to keep her safe?"
"We promise, Bobby" Sam vowed for both his and Dean's behalf.
"If one hair is harmed on this girl's head, I'll kick your ass from here to Pittsburg. Understand?"
"We promise Bobby" Dean added.
The eldest hunter heaved a sigh of defeat "Alright, you can go but you have to listen to whatever those boys say-"
"And I promise not to follow the crumbs to the evil witch's gingerbread house" Alice interrupted as she hugged her over-protective father around his waist.
"And I'm going to call every so often to check up on you, so answer your phone."
"I promise. Oh, my first real hunt! I better go pack" than she ran up to her room to pack what she thought she'd need for the hunt.
Once Alice was out of ear shot, Dean asked a question that's been on his mind since Bobby agreed.
"She's really going to listen to us?"
Bobby scoffed once again "Boy, if you believe that than I'm the King of Sheba. Good luck with her, she can be a hand full. I wish I could give you all the luck in the world because you'll need it. And by the way, don't give her any alcohol or I'll kill you- both of you for that matter."

~Chapter Two- Dead End~

Alice was thrilled. She was more than thrilled. This was her first hunt without her father watching every single step she makes, but with her 'older brothers'. She ran around her room, grabbing clean clothes and stuffing them into her messenger bag. She doubt she was going to be gone any longer than a week but packed a few more extra clothes just in case they were going to take longer. She also packed her laptop, Ipod and as she promised, her cell phone.
