Title: The Story of Evansville, Vermont
Description: Game 1 History Story

Senator Seth - May 14, 2009 02:14 AM (GMT)
The townspeople of Evansville, Vermont lived quiet, normal lives, but all of that changed on May 25, 2009. The day began just as any other day, the people went about their business, talking to neighbors and friends. It started off as just a normal day. However, the following day they learned that during the night one of their fellow townspeople had been murdered. The small community all met at once to decide how to deal with this new threat and figure out a way to find out who had killed their friend and bring them to justice.

What the townspeople didn’t know was that a unique stranger had just entered town the day before. Her name was Missouri, and her strong psychic abilities had drawn her to Evansville for she felt something unimaginably dark and powerful there. It didn’t take Missouri long to figure out that the townspeople had already been alerted to the threat of the dark, supernatural presence, and thus revealed herself to them saying that she was a psychic capable of aiding them in their search for the thing(s) that killed their friend the previous night. However, her powers only allowed her to feel the presence that surrounded an individual. Thus every night she could focus on one individual and feel whether they were more human or more of a supernatural being.

That very same day, the brothers Sam and Dean Winchester drove into town in their ’67 Chevy Impala. Immediately they knew something was up from the way the townspeople were acting, but what they didn’t expect was to find their old, psychic friend Missouri. They told Missouri that they had been hunting down the trail of some demons who had popped up and their latest activity lead them to Evansville. Sam and Dean were both going to track down leads in town and follow someone every night to see who they visit, hopefully uncovering some information that could point to who may be a demon.

With the help of the Winchester Brothers and the psychic Missouri, the inhabitants of Evansville felt that they had a strong advantage in the matter of hunting down these “demons” as Sam and Dean had informed them. However, anyone in the community could be possessed by these demons. Sam and Dean assured the townspeople that they had taken the precaution of placing symbols and traps around the town to prevent the demons from leaving, and they also created a specific trap that prevented the demons from leaving their host’s body, in essence the demons were stuck with nowhere to go or to escape. But that left only one option open in order to kill these demons, each day the town would have to vote as a group and kill off one of their friends, who could now be their enemy. Only by a majority vote would they select the person who would be killed that day…for the greater good.

It is said that the demons went into hiding amongst the population. They blended in the best they could, but they knew the only way this could end well in their favor was to kill off the humans before they could kill them. They also knew that a hunter…or possibly hunters were in town as well because they could no longer leave their host bodies, nor could they leave town because of some devil’s traps placed around the town. The demons also felt the presence of a psychic, but again didn’t know who it could be. They knew they had to take extra precaution to remain hidden. Only during the night could they come together and decided who to kill off next.

However, unknown to everyone, Castiel was following the Winchester Brothers, keeping an eye on them as he always does. Knowing the situation full well he decided that he would choose one person every night to protect from this insanity.

This is all that is known of the incident at Evansville. No one knows for sure who eventually turned out to be the victors of this game of psychology, but one thing is known for sure…only those who escaped Evansville alive know the true tale of what happened there.
