Ok, so I'm doin' this to see what kind of bites I'd get for my new story. Those out there who are readers of my Dani series, Blood Moon Rising is my post-Dani entertainment. My inspiration is the Twilight series, what with vampires and werewolves and a love triangle(cept my main character isn't human). Hopefully, if you like Twilight, you'll like my story.

I stared in disbelief as the men in front of me circled one another gracefully,
with full intention to kill. One, he taller and more slender,
was snarling in anger, dark eyes full of fire.
The other, definitely the stronger of the two, growled back in threats.
Both, I was sure, knew I was in the room; surely they had smelled my presence.
However, neither moved out of stance or tore their eyesight from their enemy.
How could two creatures, two completely different species of creatures,
hate each other so much, yet have so much in common?
The question rang through my head daily.
I, of course, was their common thread
but they seemed to forget that when in the same room.
The loud growl jarred me from my inner thoughts.
Before I could stop them or say anything, the burlier of the two men
pounced at the other and the crash that followed deafened my hearing.
