Whoa, something is hinky in Cibola. Mia is off and possibly possessed, Dean is like a powder keg and Sam...well he is close to being buzzard breakfast. Didn't he get bit by a scorpion? Or was that all a dream?

Great start! Loved the House of Wax references...so Sam's never seen that movie eh? And Gilmore Girls makes him nervous...I'm sensing a pattern here ;)

I gotta say I'm with Sam with regards to Mia. It's not that I don't like her, it's that I don't really trust her...never have. I'm also interested in what's going on with this town...what a hinky place!

Looking forward to the next part...and hoping that Dean takes his head out of his ass long enough to realize that Sammy might be in some trouble!

I somehow get the feeling Mia is gonna be pissed when dean insiste to look for sam instead of comfort her :lol: sorry miss mia, big brother duties come first. That was a great start which brought up many questions.
Poor Sam, hope Dean finds him soon. I bet Dean blames himself for Sam missing.
And I wonder if the Demon did something to Mia... :unsure: perhaps that´s why Sam feels uncomfortable around her?

I agree with Sam - I'm not that keen on Mia -- hope she turns out bad -- I don't really like the character --- the same feeling I got with Jo on the real show. Like Sam was feeling, she's rubbing me the wrong way. I hope I'm suppose to feel that way.

But I love the writing and the drama.

Distant Voices Part 2

The demon is the same one they dealt with in The Exorcist! One of my favourite movies ever! Cool...very, very cool!

Figured that Hank wasn't the demon...again because I don't trust Mia...regardless of what she says to Dean.

And poor Sammy...he may have to rescue himself since Dean's a bit busy!

The demon made an appareance at Hank's house. They've been lucky this time but what's going to happen the next time it'll show up :unsure:
I like Hank, I hope nothing'll happen to him :)
Sam and Gertrude're connected in some way, so intriguing.
I didn't think about spiders, scorpions and snakes we can come across in the desert :o
I'm looking forward to part 3 :)

Loved the episode so far. Freaking out for Sam all lost in the desert. Intrigued by his connection to Gertrude. Totally totally suspicious of Mia; don't particularly beleive she is full on innocent...still, I'd agree with Dean. So NOT going to toss her to the demon.

I'm really sorry but I don't see any chemistry between Dean and Mia. Maybe its the constant bickering which i just personally find exhausting to read.

My favorite Mia/dean scene was in that Chupa Episode when they were out and Dean was hurt and there was no bickering; just the two of them talking; trying to be brave for each other.

Anyway.... I think I'm suspicious of Mia because at times she has this... nonchalant attitude toward her predicament. As if it only bothers her when it suits her needs. her attitude toward Sam being missing and Dean's worry for him and how suddenly she directs suspicion toward Hank.

I sort of hope my suspicions are unfounded because ... well..it'll kill Dean if Mia has ulterior motivations. But I'm paranoid enough to consider Mia might pull a Bela. Selling out the boys to save her own skin.

Can't wait to read Ch 3 and see what happens to Sam.

Hmmn, now what really is going on with Mia????

Oh my God!!!!! Hurry up Dean! How the heck are they gonna find him? This story is so brilliant. My favorite one so far! Can't wait for more.

Ahh! Sammy!! Okay, I'm officially freaking out on mulitple levels here! First and foremost is poor Sam. Kid can't seem to catch a break--like baking in the desert sun isn't enough, a scorpion has to come along! I just had to shake my head :(

And Dean and Mia...what the heck man! I get the distinct impression that she knew that letting the demon possess her again would do absolutely nothing--I mean they exorcised it easily enough didn't they? It was all a show for Dean's sake--and maybe a way to keep his mind off of Sam. I mean, when Dean thought of Mia as a martyr it made me gag! Seriously!! And then her little hissy fit at the thought of Dean leaving her to find Sam...like she's the only one of importance...yeah, I gotta say the distrust I have for her is starting to grow into dislike...

Can't wait for tomorrow to see how it all shakes out!

Wow!Sam helped Dean exorcisting the demon even if he wasn't there, interesting.

Great ending! Really interesting that Gertrude was an actual person. And as for Mia...don't know if I hate her the way I did Bela...although if she keeps up with the crap she pulled in this episode it could head that way real quick! I'm glad that Hank told Sam to listen to his instincts--for Dean's sake he needs to keep and eye on that chick.

In dream he saw what happened to Gertrude, I'm glad that Sam found her and she'll finally rest in peace.
Hank said to Sam to listen to his inner voice, Sam doesn't trust her. She is indeed coming between Dean and Sam.
Amazing work Kittsbud. I enjoyed very much this story, I didn't know that Gertrude was a real person. I loved the connection between Sam and Gertrude, Hank, what a great guy and Dean trying to defend Mia. Who's right about Mia, Dean or Sam, can't wait to know.

Great ending! That´s so un-Dean to put a girl before his brother and to trust Mia more than Sam. I wonder what Mia has done to him... <_<

I´m glad SuperSammy sees right through Mia and doesn´t trust her.
Can´t wait to see how the road trip with Mia ends, who is Dean gonna "throw out of his car" ?

It's going to be fun next week - because don't forget it's the mid-season lead in episode - and you just know that means we're going to have some fun, fun, fun with the characters ;)

If sam is right about Mia then we have to ask ourselves Who would have a stake in severing the boys' bond? breaking the trust.

I'm thinking Mia may be either an innocent pawn or a willing participant to something that wants to destoy its enimies. After all the best way to destry the enimy is to divide and conquer and what better way then to infiltrate the enimy?

Or maybe this unknown is using Mia - again innocent pawn or willing participant? to test the bond between the boys.

Who do we know in the VS that nearly destoryed a town and just as many lives just to test Sam's abilities? That might be looking for a bit of vengence after being sent back to Hell like an ant doing down a drain of holy water?

I theorize that Lucifer is behind this. Why i dont know but I have always theorized that sam adn Dean - on the series as well as the VS - while formidble on their own are ten tims more formidable together.

It would serve any enemy to break the bond, the implicet trust the boys have in each other.

And I think Mia is doing a hell of a job cause the cracks are forming. lol Ruby, i think, could take a lesson.

Awesome job. Distant Voices has been a roller coaster and I can't wait to see where it goes.

I'm a little shaken on the whole Mia thing. In the last story she was in, with the chupacabras, I liked her and thought she was a great girl for Dean. But something has happened since then and I'm not sure if she is possessed or coming between the boys deliberately. And did I miss something or did nothing come out of her at the end of the exorcism? And how could Hank have been able to hold her down while she was possessed? Nope, something happened to that girl and I can't wait to find out what.
