*goes off to read*

Phoenix_Song778 - April 1, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
Gaelic! SJ! I love you guys!! Awesome start! First of all, I really like the premise of this episode--promises to be an interesting one. Also, gotta say, the boys are in rare form here! I laughed so many times I've lost count--Dean in the bathroom with the laptop was just the beginning! Every interaction, every word spoken rang so true, I swear it was like Jared and Jensen were having a conversation in my head--fantastic!

Is it tomorrow yet :D

gaelicspirit - April 1, 2008 08:14 PM (GMT)
*grins*

Thanks, Phoenix! SJ and I really wanted this episode to be special -- her first and my last -- and one of the things we LOVE to write together is dialog. Glad you liked the scene with Dean in the bathroom. And as far as the premise is concerned -- SO glad it has intrigued you.

Thanks for reading and look forward to seeing more of you as the week progresses!

Thanks, Phoenix! SJ and I really wanted this episode to be special -- her first and my last -- ...

I am so excited about this episode. I am a huge fan of your stories gaelic and SJ :bow But why the hell is this epi your last one??? :o

gaelicspirit - April 1, 2008 08:47 PM (GMT)
Due to some personal obligations, I'm not going to be able to write with the team any longer. It was a really hard decision and I'm going to miss it.

The writers for Season 3 are FABULOUS and have a great season planned for you.

I'll still be writing fanfic -- as will SJ -- outside of the VS. And SJ has a couple more VS episodes coming up on her own that I *know* you guys are going to love.

Hope you continue to enjoy this episode. We had a great time crafting it. :) OH -- and marjan-- LOVE your "Guardian" banner.

M. Sterling - April 1, 2008 09:30 PM (GMT)
Okay, first off I need to get this off my chest. This. Is. The. SHIT!! I can't remember the last time I read such a fantastic story! Oh...wait, yes I do. Sunday Bloody Sunday. Anywho! I really really REALLY love the start of this. I am a huge fan of anything that does with serial killers. Boston Strangler, Zodiac Killer, Jack the Ripper, Ted Bundy! Hell it goes on and on. I am a dark writer myownself. This brought chills down my back.

Wonderful work! I am going to be reading this episode, amazed how the interactions of brothers comes out full fold here. Great job!

Oh and a shout out to the artist of the poster and banner! Great job! That's some talent you got. You guys need to specify who did those so the artist can get the well deserved recognition. Might just be me.

- Mike

pinkphoenix - April 1, 2008 09:38 PM (GMT)
YAY! the VS is back! great start!

gaelicspirit - April 1, 2008 09:45 PM (GMT)
*gives Mike grateful guy-punch on shoulder*

Thanks, dude. And the artist is Kira Reed -- she's fanfriggintastic, yeah?

Thanks, pinkphoenix!! So happy to see you. Hee.

Okay, and now I'll disappear for awhile as it's time to bring home the kiddo. Hope ya'll enjoy (REALLY hope). I'll wander by later on and see... *bites nails*

SJ will be here, soon. Work beckoned, but she's really excited to see what you guys think!! She's going to be happy. Hee.

Huntergal - April 1, 2008 10:13 PM (GMT)
Oh, this is a fantastic start! You girls really know how to throw the banter back and forth, don't you? I can't tell you how often I laughed out loud. “Maybe I can get keyboard cleaner at Office Depot.” Oh, Sammy.

Loving the premise of this hunt - demonic copy-cat serial killers - very creative! Wasn't laughing at the end, though. Poor Sammy - that boy does attract the stranglers, doesn't he? ;) Can't wait to see where you take this hunt. I know we're in for a helluva ride. Really love how you girls write together. We'll be missing you in the VS, Gaelic. :(

Amyj - April 2, 2008 12:09 AM (GMT)
This was an amazing segment. The rape/murder scene. It wasn't graphic but still conveyed the horror of what was happening to Megan. I could just feel her terror at what was happening to her and how she just switched herself off.

I really think this episode is what No Exit SHOULD have been. No offense to Jo but No Exit had such an incredible adversary and potential in Holmes (first ever serial killer!) and it SHOULD have been scary as hell. Adn this is shaping up to fulfil all those hopes i had for No Exit. Thank you.

This exhange here:

Dean waved a hand at him, dismissing the forgiving eyes. “Forget it,” he said. “That’s done. We’re here in… Cigaretteville.”

“Marlborough,” Sam corrected.

“Like I said.”

“Spelled different.”

Dean raised an eyebrow at him, moving down the sidewalk. “You see words in your head when you talk, don’t you?”

Sam shot him a surprised glance, folded his lips down, then silently sipped his latte.

*sam so does and I love that dean knows this. Just such a loevley attention to detail and charector*

Loved Dean ribbing Sam about porn, the boys teasing each other while watching Simon and Simon (S&S's theme song totally fits the boys) Dean working in the bathroom on the laptop and sam misconstruing what was happening...Sam doubting Dean at first and then coming around to see Dean is right.

I love all the li8ghtness and then BAM! Demon serial killer is strangling Sam and dean is helpless.

This is gonna be am amazing epiosde. IS already an amazing episode. Sorry to hear its your last Galic Spirit but wow! Your leaving ona high note. welcome Sojouner. Can't wait to see what else youve written. :)

Amy

M. Sterling - April 2, 2008 12:14 AM (GMT)
Ah, it was Kira, I thought so. *laugh* Anywho, again great job! I will be awaiting the next part, make a comment then too cause this episode deserves it! So far. *LAUGH*

You two are amazzzzzing! I have to be doing work now, I should of been doing work instead of reading, what can I say, I was hooked.

- Mike

adder574 - April 2, 2008 12:14 AM (GMT)
First I want to say that I'm sad to hear this will be your last episode gaelic spirit. :cry . But I am glad you will still be writing fan fic. :cheer

Awesome start. GS and SJ. I loved the banter. I was so spot on. Loved that Dean found the connection with all the copy-cats.

Interesting take on why Sam's afraid of clowns.

Can't wait to get home from work tomorrow to read part two.

bayre - April 2, 2008 01:31 AM (GMT)
I really do love this story. Great start!

Serenity&Chaos - April 2, 2008 02:42 AM (GMT)
So glad VS is back! :cheer

Gaelic Sojourner. Great beginning. The intro with the girl and the Strangler creeped the hell out of me. For once I'm glad that I don't live alone.

QUOTE
“Dude!” Sam exclaimed.

Dean frowned, then understanding dawned quickly as he looked at himself, T-shirt wadded next to him, towel across his bare legs, computer on his lap.

“It’s not what you think!” Dean hastened to protest.

“That’s just sick,” Sam shook his head, backing away.

Dean closed the computer, clamoring to his feet. “Seriously,” he tried again, following Sam out into the bedroom. “I was working.”

“I don’t need to know what you call it,” Sam waved a hand in the air, not looking back at Dean as he grabbed his jeans and long-sleeved shirt.

I love that part. Friggin hilarious!

Ohhhhh! I can't wait for tomorrow. Sammy! :(

LovinDean - April 2, 2008 02:50 AM (GMT)
Hey Girls

I'm so excited to read this. I started this morning and its 1.35pm now lol I've had a few annoying distractions (WORK) but I finally made it through and I can safely say that this was worth it. I'm falling in love with it already :D

The start was freaky. Very real. And even more freaky with the picture of Tim Robbins that came with it lol I can see him being a freaky bad guy in this for some reason.

As usual the Brotherly banter and dialogue was perfect :) The whole Porn thing had me in fits! but before I go further into that ...

Simon and Simon? And the Boys comparing themselves with Rick and AJ? OMG THANK YOU hehe. Spot on and OMG I really loved that hehe I always do tend to like the older brother better hehe Awesome and once again Thank you hehe I got a kick out of that.

Back to the porn ... or what Sam thought was porn ... LMAO Priceless. That whole part of Dean recearching in the bathroom wearing only boxers in the end, his legs getting hot coz of the laptop. My brother tends to do that in the morning before he learnt to use a wooden board my nan gave him lol But Sam's reaction was so freaking funny all the way to the diner .... honestly awesome guys ;)

Loved Dean's comic Impala ;)

Listening to Boston on the way to Boston does not suprise me in the slightest lmao

Okay I'm gonna cut this short because I will be here forever if I go through everything I loved about it but in short It's an awesome start and Im on the edge of my seat waiting for more ... especially with the way that was left hehe

Thanks for the awesome job girls ;)

Tara x0x

Huntergal - April 2, 2008 03:24 AM (GMT)
God, I can't believe I forgot to mention the shout out to "Simon & Simon" - absolutely my favorite show back in the day. Any wonder? Two brothers, not alike - one educated, the other street-wise - constantly ribbing each other, fighting the bad guys. Nah, no similarities. ;) Girls, you rock! Seriously!

ThalionFea - April 2, 2008 03:32 AM (GMT)
Amazing work you two! I am so happy with this, and as always I love the banter between brothers. The very beginning terrified me, that was very scary and pretty realistic. You capture the mood and tone so very well. I am always hooked into the story when reading your work.

This was so amazing, really loved the brother moments, I am a sucker for them, and you both have the brothers down so well! I am amazed everytime I read either one of your works, even the ones you do together.

I really hope you get good ratings on this cause as everyone before me has said this is amazing!! *hugs both*

I can't wait to read the rest. *smiles and clears throat*

*hugs SJ!* Just because. ^ ^

gumby - April 2, 2008 04:04 AM (GMT)
I've spent the last three months or so reading every episode of VS and this is my first post. I just wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying this episode! The dialogue and interaction is so dead-on it's scary. I am so in awe! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to read that again. :bow

sojourner84 - April 2, 2008 05:18 AM (GMT)
Wow! This was so great to come home from work to! Thank you guys, for reading and taking the time to comment.

Hey, Huntergal!

I think writing the banter for these boys is probably the most fun part. GS and I like to rib each other over messenger.

And yes, poor Sammy does seem to attract stranglers. Just like Dean and walls. *cough*

Gaelic, she’s right. You will be missed.

I love all the lightness and then BAM! Demon serial killer is strangling Sam and dean is helpless.

Thanks, Amy. We like to keep you on your toes. *laugh*

Oh and thank you for the warm welcome. :)

Mike! Thank you so much for taking time from work. Means a lot. I’d hug you, but we wouldn’t want to ruin your scary reputation.

QUOTE

Interesting take on why Sam's afraid of clowns.

Thanks, Adder! I’m sure there was some very traumatizing trip to the circus when Sam was little that led to that. But Gacy, the Killer Clown. Think that gives anyone a good reason to fear clowns.

I really do love this story. Great start!

Gracias, Siggy. :)

Glad we could freak you out and make you laugh S&C.

Alright, I'm exhausted, hope some of those responses made sense. *laugh*

More to come!

Make a move Dean, make a bloody move!!!

So cool GS & SJ. I do love your work! Will be very sad to see you go GS but I am very excited we have SJ to write for this awesome season.

I love Dean's flipbook of the Impala. I could just imagine his grin of pride!

And grumpy, OCD over his computer Sammy is so funny.

Can't wait for more! :cheer

NathMG - April 2, 2008 11:23 AM (GMT)
Oh Yeah!

I knew this fic would ROCK! You guys make an awesome team.

The opening scene was so terrifying. I could just see it in my head and kept wanting to close my eyes. Totally creepy.

Dean sitting in the bathroom with the laptop was hilarious. I just love the banter.

Well you're off to a great start. I can't wait for the next chapter.

PS - I love the mention of the vine tattoo GS. ;) I was looking for it.

Keep it coming girls! :cheer

daisymay - April 2, 2008 12:28 PM (GMT)
What a fantastic first chapter!! I love the banter between the boys, you have it spot on. Dean sneaking off into the bathroom to use the computer was so funny and Sammy's fretting over his laptop afterwards was wonderful. *Pets poor OCD!Sam*  And your take on Sammy's fear of clowns was interesting and completely believable.

And a deliciously fab cliffhanger!! :cheer I have such a love for Choked!Sam. :blush :D

I can't wait to read more.

ETA - I just read that this is your last VS story, gaelicspirit. That's such a shame. I'll miss your stories here very much indeed. :(

gaelicspirit - April 2, 2008 12:36 PM (GMT)
Nath -- *grin* glad you liked the vine. See what an insipriation you are?

Daisy -- so happy to see you here. You're like the VS' benchmark for appropriate Sammy-ness.

Huntergal, Tara, adder, ThalionFea, cooldudette, amyj, supernatch, S&C, gumby... thanks so much for taking time to reply! We're really pleased you're enjoying this.

Yay! It's Wednesday! Which makes me happy for many different reasons. :)

Have a good one, all.

poppygee - April 2, 2008 04:14 PM (GMT)
Absolutely amazing start you two!! Just awesome! You have got the boys characters and voices spot on - really don't know how you do it - it is just like watching an episode on tv! Love the fact that there is a Boston Strangler copy cat killer and that first scene OMG that was so scary (I felt like it was me being strangled!!). Even though I am way behind reading the other VS episodes I just had to read this one.

Can't wait for the next installment.

JJ

gaelicspirit - April 2, 2008 04:31 PM (GMT)

Great job, ladies!

jensengal3 - April 2, 2008 07:46 PM (GMT)
hi gaelic and sojourner!

*in awe*. I love ye guys(girls). After a long day at school, its so great to have a virtual episode that feels like a 'real' episode. Thanks!

sarah

Serenity&Chaos - April 2, 2008 08:10 PM (GMT)
*dances around happily* This is sooo good! I love it! :skip

Jack The Ripper, Gacy, Dahmer, Bundy. I love the fact that all these infamous serial killers throughout history were possessed by a demon which makes sense. They were just horrible bastards. What about Manson? Or The BTK or Richard Ramirez? Were they demon possessed too? Any mentioned of them?

Oh, p.s. This is off-topic when are you gonna update your story Gaelic? I'm going nuts here! :P

gaelicspirit - April 2, 2008 08:12 PM (GMT)
Thanks you guys!! You all are made of awesome and we love that you're reading and enjoying! *does dance*

Crash -- I'm working on Chapter 7 now. I was a bit delayed by...life, but I'm back on track and if all goes well, it will be posted end of this week. Hope you like... *bites nails*

Woohoo!! I loved that chapter! Poor Sam got strangled by the Boston Strangler. The banter again amazing, the story is so great and the scene in the hotel room fixing Sam up after, I could see it playing in my head, this whole episode I can see so clear in my head.

I don't have to work very hard at picturing it. Loved this part.

QUOTE
Soon the bed nearest the door creaked with Dean’s weight and Dean groaned as he stretched out.

“I’m getting too old for this shit,” Dean breathed.

“Okay, Murtaugh,” Sam teased, closing his eyes and listening to the sounds of night. Water in the pipes through the walls around them, cars on the highway outside, muted voices with meaningless words, his brother’s breath.

“Whatever, dude. I’m Riggs, you’re Murtaugh.”

“Uh-huh,” Sam mumbled, willing sleep to claim him.

That's what I am talking about, you have their personallities done soooo well. I am so excited for you both and love that this episode is getting such great ratings! Keep it coming cause you have us all hooked!
*HUGS*

Huntergal - April 2, 2008 09:16 PM (GMT)
You ladies love your cliffhangers, don't you? Loved the twist that the killers aren't "copy-cats", but the original demons possessing the ones that got caught - a brotherhood, yet. Of course the continued banter is so spot on - Murtaugh/Riggs :) Poor Dean does have an intimate relationship with walls...

Enjoyed the action at the beginning of this chapter - good ol' Dean, thinking on his feet. And yeah, it's about time he memorized the exorcisms. Had to laugh at Dean's complaints about driving in NYC after they left Boston. As far as I'm concerned (as a tourist), Boston is the worst city to drive in. ( You may never return on the MTA, but you don't have much luck in a car either :) )

But I digress... Great chapter. Glad they asked Bobby for a little help, sounds like before all is said and done, they're going to need it! Looking forward to tomorrow (which, btw, is also RETURN SN THURSDAY) and the update.

pinkphoenix - April 2, 2008 09:50 PM (GMT)
great part!

daisymay - April 2, 2008 09:50 PM (GMT)
Great chapter again. :clap I loved the 'Dean patching up Sammy' scene, I'm such a sucker for Protective!Dean. That was a scrumptious bit of Hurt!Sam to go with the Protective!Dean too. :cloud9

And Dean's frustrations with the rain and traffic in NY were fun. Poor Dean.

Phoenix_Song778 - April 2, 2008 10:34 PM (GMT)
Man! Didn't get to read this until MUCH later than I wanted...RL sucks sometimes! Anyway, another fabulous installment. First, love the idea that these notorious serial killers were possessed humans--makes sense. I'm wondering what the "spark" was that the demons latched onto...and if this is why they're only "bringing back" killers from many, many years ago. I mean there are some more recent serial killers--Greenriver killer, Richard Ramirez...why not them? I find it interesting. Also interesting is this whole "A" pattern Sam's hit on...I'm still trying to put that one together...without much success! I knew this storyline was gonna be a good one and you two have not disappointed! Can't wait for part 3!

Kyle - April 2, 2008 11:13 PM (GMT)
Demonic serial killers - woo hoo! Great going guys - mixing real serial killers with the SN world.

I wonder how Sam is going to react if he meets up with John Wayne Gacy. The British hunters have their work cut out for them trying to catch up with ol' Jack the Ripper.

bayre - April 3, 2008 01:17 AM (GMT)
This just gets better and better. I do love this story!
