:cheer Great start Nicole you have me intrigued and hooked already. Can't wait to see where you're going to take this one :D
Nicole™ - March 20, 2008 06:55 PM (GMT)
Thank you, thank you. I'm glad you found the beginning to be good start--it was supposed to be much longer, but I just felt like it was a good place to stop.
alena - March 20, 2008 09:12 PM (GMT)
Oh great Nicole, a sequel! :D I've been watching out for this
I haven't had time to read it yet, but I'll pop back when I have ( :clap ).
Nicole™ - March 20, 2008 10:32 PM (GMT)
Hi, Alena! Okay, that's great.
*sits and waits nervously*. Uh-hem. *whistles nervously*
HA, I'm just kidding. I'll stop peering over your shoulder and see if I can't go get some other things done.
I hope you like it :).
adder574 - March 21, 2008 12:52 AM (GMT)
I was so happy to get home from work and see the alert in my inbox. Awesome start Nicole. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Oceane - March 21, 2008 01:33 AM (GMT)
WooHoo! You finally start WUC's sequel, I'm so happy :)
I'm already intrigued about what happened in the first chapter.
I'm so looking forward for more :)
Nicole™ - March 21, 2008 01:52 AM (GMT)
*grabs and hugs Oceane and adder tightly* Thank you!!! I'm so happy you guys liked it. SO happy. *both of you are turning blue, so I let go* Trust me when I say I appreciate that you guys have stuck through all my WIPs and are willing to do it again...I know it takes a LOT of patience. ;)
alena - March 21, 2008 11:35 AM (GMT)
It's OK Nicole you can stop lurking over my shoulder now! I got tied up with pre-Easter things and I've finally had time to sit down with a cup of tea and settle down to read.
What can I add to what the others have said? Great start to this story! :D
I'm really intrigued by the ritual at the start and who was using it. I loved all the mystery about "Jessica" and the real motives behind her appearances. It doesn't sound good for Dean.
Good to see Dean and Missouri actually having a (brief) talk about Dean's misgivings. This is a situation where you just know Sam will have trouble coping as anything with Jessica is going to stir up old memories and probably cloud his judgement.
It's a good, riveting start and I shall be lurking around for the next chapter..... :evil
Linda - March 21, 2008 04:32 PM (GMT)
great start
Looking forward to reading more
Nicole™ - March 24, 2008 07:43 PM (GMT)
Alena, I left you a thank you for the rec on the discussion thread, but wanted to say again thanks. I sure hope I can make this worthy of it ;). And, I'm dancing because you're riveted!!! Thank you so much for the feedback and the rec :)
Linda, hi there! Always happy to see someone new! Thank you for reviewing and I sure hope you continue to enjoy this :).
:hug , to you all!

Thanks, Val. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it...and, wow, during class, huh? How did you manage that? Print it? I can't believe you're confessing this to a teacher, lol ;) . Eh, no, don't worry, I sometimes print off a story to read during class, too. Shhhhh.... What? I'm pushed into a couple of regular ed classes and when they're taking notes, I get pretty bored. :P
Oh, yay! Can't wait to see it! What a nice surprise for an already looonnng, boring week. :cheer
Nicole™ - May 9, 2008 03:45 PM (GMT)
You guys, I am SO sorry about the extended delay--things always seem so crazy at the end of the school year--plus, a couple of the ladies who beta for me had some problems as well and I ended up burning two weeks just waiting for the corrections. I'm lucky to have such dedicated people willing to stop their extremely busy lives to look at this though.
Okay, it's far from perfect because I kinda just gave up on looking it over and posted before I went nuts stressing over the quality of it. I hope you're still interested. *rolls eyes at self*
So, here it is:
Chapter Two

Oh yay! Someone found their way back! It's always a problem when there's a length between updates for people to remember and come back--so I'm so happy to see you, Linda! Glad you enjoyed and thank you for leaving feedback, too.
Rhesa - May 10, 2008 03:30 PM (GMT)
yay Nicole I've just discovered you've updated, but its not on ff.net? I found it at supernaturalville. Rushing off to read it now, so will gush later, just wondered why you weren't on FF.net?
adder574 - May 10, 2008 03:37 PM (GMT)
After a really crappy day at work, I can't tell you how excited I was to come home and find the alert for chapter 2 in my inbox.
I just had the time to sit and read it and it was definitely worth the wait. You should stop being so hard on your self because that was fantastic.
I can't wait for chapter three.
Nicole™ - May 10, 2008 04:36 PM (GMT)
Rhesa, I'm not sure what's going on because I did update on ff.net. The link I posted on the previous page
should take you there--but with that site, you never know what's going on, lol. I hope you enjoy it where ever you find it :)
See if this works:
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4142686/2/What_Comes_AfterAdder, this whole week seemed crappy to me. I've felt so stressed this week... Well, until I saw next week's promo for SN--then I perked right up--until I realized what that promo could mean for the summer! Hee!
And thank you, you don't know how happy it makes me to hear that you actually felt excited to come home to an update...and even more so that you enjoyed it! I can't explain it, but I get so much out of other people getting pleasure from something I've written (or made). I like making people happy :D. Of course, I'd still feel compelled to write, but that feeling makes all that fretting worth it :).
Rhesa - May 10, 2008 04:39 PM (GMT)
yay Nicole, that was great. I love the way you are amping up the tension. What the heck is going on with Dean :o !!
Really liked the college friends, especially Aaron and Becky - although I can tell that Chris boyo is gonna be trouble!
Hope you can find the time to update fairly soon, coz Im really enjoying this :D
alena - May 12, 2008 08:41 PM (GMT)
:cheer I just got back from Asylum to see that you have updated Nicole :cheer
I haven't had time to read it yet, but I'll try to pop back in a couple of days to leave a review.

*Grabs Rhesa and smishes the pudding out of her* Oh man, girl, you have no idea how happy that makes me. I was a little bummed over the weekend when I saw how low the reviews at ff.net were...I didn't know whether to chalk it up to the holiday/Asylum/my lengthy break between chapters or if maybe it just wasn't grabbing the general populace's interest, but this helps a lot! Thank you.
Alena, No worries--when you're recovered from your weekend, I'll still be here :D. Did you have fun?
Rhesa - May 12, 2008 09:27 PM (GMT)
You are so welcome Nicole. But I really wonder if some people couldn't find it at ff.net like me. Im not a member, so can't put stuff on alert, but I check all the newly posted stories and somehow missed yours. That might account for the reviews thing, maybe there was a problem with the site? :)
alena - May 12, 2008 09:35 PM (GMT)
Yes thanks Nicole, I had a great time at Asylum. I'm not sure my bank balance feels the same though!!
I think you may find that Asylum will have distracted some readers, but we should be back to "normal" any time soon...

I had totally forgotten about that. With that site, you never know...and only 33 people put it on alert--soooo, who knows. Also, I have had a few more trickle in yesterday and last night bringing it up a little. :)
Alena, lol! Yeah, I can imagine your bank account is probably cowering in the corner, ha, ha. But, its something you'll always remember, right?
*is jealous of Alena*
Oceane - May 14, 2008 01:59 AM (GMT)
Nicole, this chapter was worth the wait, a long, intriguing one :)
What's up with Jess's sightings and deaths.
I like Aaron, he's a great guy but Chris is so a jerk, I just want to slap him.
Poor Dean, having a weakness in front of people he doesn't know.
What's going on with Dean
I'm waiting with eagerness your next chapter Nicole :)

Thanks, Oceane. It was a long one for me. I'm trying to write longer chapters this time because I feel like we have a lot of ground to cover--so I hope that makes up just a little for any waiting that might happen in between.
I didn't really expect to get any more reviews today, so when I got home and saw this, I was excited! It was like finding one more chocolate chip cookie in the very bottom of the jar, lol!
Thanks for that!

Hi Nicole, I'm reading your story, but I'm also reading others, so I might not write msgs for a while, but you know how much I enjoy anything you write, but probably this time I might just wait for the end and then tell you how much I really loved it.
But keep in mind that I'm keeping track of it.
Take good care of yourself.

Hello Nicole. Yes, I shall certainly treasure my memories of Asylum- all the guests were fantastic and I went to a coffee lounge with Jim Beaver ( :woohoo !!!) and I met some site members who were brilliant.
Back to "What Comes After"...
I just wanted to say that this is another great chapter.
I liked the way you brought in the college friends and their different reactions to the Dean. Chris is shaping up to be quite a pain- especially towards Dean. Poor Sam struggling with his return to painful territory and whatever is affecting him. I'm intrigued to find out what is happening to Dean. He certainly isn't getting much of a break! Meanwhile "Jess" seems to be racking up quite a total of victims.
Twitching for the next chapter... :D

I'm glad you had a good time! I hear Jim Beaver is really cool. He seems cool...he seems like such a regular joe.
Thanks, Alena for taking the time to come in and say a few words. If you watched the finale (whether live or online or whatever), I'm surprised your coherent enough to think of me, lol! I mean, WOW. I'm trying to keep my feelings reigned in because I don't want to make the next chapter a big ol' emo'ing festival, lol!
And, I purposely kept all spoilers out in case you haven't seen it yet! If you haven't, I have a little something for you....*passes Alena a package of chocolate*.... you might need it when you're done :D. I'm totally a nervous eater! My nerves were shot before, during and after the ep 0_0.
alena - May 17, 2008 08:08 AM (GMT)
Thanks Nicole!
 I haven't seen the finale yet, but from what I've gathered (and my own feelings about where things might be going) I will definitely need chocolate- VAST AMOUNTS OF CHOCOLATE!!!!

That MIGHT get you through. :P
When do you get to watch it?
alena - May 17, 2008 08:18 PM (GMT)
Nicole Thanks (I think!) a truck load sounds oh so ominous, but I've been gearing myself up to it from "Jus in Belo". I don't have a set time to watch it- it depends when I can find the episode.

Yeah...you'll probably need it. It's pretty intense all the way through. Or I thought it was...but I was all tensed up before it even got past the beginning summary, lol!
I saw someplace where someone had uploaded it in two parts, but I can't remember where. Do you want it if I can find it? If all else fails, there's YouTube (No Rest For the Wicked--all parts found on poster's profile page):

Steffs - June 23, 2008 11:29 PM (GMT)
Hey just before I review I want to say I was at Asylum too and it rocked. I went with Yvette Kelley (yes the one who was co-hosting) covering the event for our new Shallow Graves Magazine which will be out shortly. I was the one doing the photographs. I was fortunate enough to get a staff pass and we could go into all the coffee lounge talks and the green room with all the guests.
YES Jim Beaver is Awesome. I got several hugs from him!!!!
Also AJ Buckley and Travis Wester (Ghostfacers) were fantastically funny. And Sterling K Brown (Gorden Walker) is the nicest guy you could ever meet. Chad Lindberg (Ash) is such a sweet guy too and really quite shy.
Okay on with the review.
Chapter One
Those guys really love each other and they just want to help each other that is soooooo Sam and Dean. I just wanna give both of them a huge hug.
I love the idea of Dean being a human EMF meter :D
You really captured that life just does not give those boys a break. Dean is suffering nightmares about Jess, Sam is confused about his feelings whether he is angry or jealous along with concern for Dean and for Jess.
AND now you plunge them into a case which i fear is not going to be an easy ride for either of the Winchesters.
Chapter 2
I can totally see Sam's mixed emotions about returning and about introducing Dean to his friends. Dean gotta love him but I expect he could be a tad embarrassing at times.
AND Dean all defensive for Sam hoping that the friends were true friends when it came down to it. He just can't help looking out for his little Bro.
Why is Chris so pissed even if he doesn't believe...... Hmmmmm
Okay Sam go with the flow take your Bro out of there and regroup there is always another day. The Baddies are not going anywhere.
Awe super great that Aaron turned out to be a good friend.
Nicole that was fantastic I am back in that verse hook line and sinker. Don't keep apologising for not updating i am sure everyone would rather have a wonderfully crafted story and chapter than a rushed job. i know how it is at school once your at work there is no room for anything else. i am glad i am just a Teaching Assistant at least I don't have to plan all the lessons and mark the books and all the other 101 things teachers have to do.
Hugs keep writing

Nicole™ - June 25, 2008 05:34 PM (GMT)
Oh, Steffs. You are such a sweetie!!! Can I just smish the pudding out of you? I can't help the apologizing, I feel really bad about it...but, quite frankly, life sucks right now. In more ways than one. *shrugs* Still, this was wonderful to read and I'm so happy you enjoyed it and are willing to wait for me...wait, did that sound right? Oh, you know what I mean.
And I will get the next update up, just not sure when yet. I've only got about 7 pages written and I don't like to post on anything less than 10. Where I'm going this chapter, it'll probably be longer. See, I know where we're going, just got to write it and make sure it all plays out right. ;)
