25 minutes to go. If you`ve not been spoilt you`re in for a shock. :o Especially if you are a Sam fan. I love this episode. ;)

This is one of my fav episodes of the season, love it : - )

OMG..
I have to say that in my opinion this is the best episode this season so far. :hi5 .
I also think that this will stand the test of time. :clap
Great blend of horror, action and brotherly moments.
The scene with Sam and Gordon had me :hide but at the same time urging on Sam.
The two great brother scenes, had my heat skipping beats and tears in my eyes, I have been wanting Sam to confront Dean again since episode 1. Dean started to listen at last and is starting to accept that this is just as hard for Sam as it was for him in AHBL 2. The end scene went from gut wrenchingly sad with Sam's sense of defeat to AWWWW!! when it was a big brother showing a little brother how to do things.
Roll on the next episode..

wonderful episode my second favourite the balance is just right and sterling is just plain scary in this one!!
but sam in the motel his just cause speech only he could reach dean like that ...jared was so spot on with that scene!
and ended on such a memoriable scene between sam and dean ...just a great eppie all round
alena - March 9, 2008 10:27 PM (GMT)
I've just seen "Fresh Blood" and I really enjoyed it.
The scenes where Sam and Dean discuss Dean's deal and the impact of it on their relationship were so strong and the end scene at the Impala.... (sniffles)
I'm a bit sad that they dealt with the Gordon story line so quickly- I felt that they could have explored Gordon's crusade against Sam more.
Still there was a was a nice balance of action and brother moments in the episode
Ushani - March 9, 2008 10:45 PM (GMT)
omg....that episode....was intense.
i felt really sorry for gordon! which is a first. it was horrible when he got turned intoi the thing he hated and hunted.
and bela, omg, doesnt she realise what she's doing?
the part when sam told dean to act more like his brother was soooo cute and at the end when they were drinking beer and dean was teaching sam how to fix the car....aw!
but omg the way sam killed gordon...it gave me the shivers. it was brutal.
and i really thought merceded mcnab (lucy) would have a bigger part seeing as she's really famous from buffy and angel.
in overall, it was a great episode. but depressing.
Starbuck73 - March 9, 2008 11:05 PM (GMT)
Gottta love Badass!Sam... talk about right down to the "wire"... ;)
mags - March 9, 2008 11:27 PM (GMT)
Fresh Blood is for me the best episode of the season so far shown on itv....
Jared was outstanding in the motel room scene when he had the lip wibble asking dean to 'just be my brother again,cause..... just cause'
Ushani - March 9, 2008 11:37 PM (GMT)
yeah! that thing when he said cause...just cause.... aw!
did any other itv2 viewers get a second of nothingness near the end of the episode? i think it was a technical fault and then i nearly screamed. but it was ok because it was only for a sec and then i saw dean and sam and then i thought yayayayayyay!!!!!!!!
poppy - March 10, 2008 12:10 AM (GMT)
I love this ep it was the first one i saw all the way though {Thanks Pammy :wub: }
This hole big front off Dean with Sammy about him dieing makes me want to slap the man silly and make him talk to Sammy, Not talking may make him feel better be it's not doing Sammy any good {Ok breath :D }
But the bit i love was Wavy Gravy :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl
empala67 - March 10, 2008 07:20 AM (GMT)
When Lucy said "he was old.....like 30" did anyone else think this was a dig at Jensen??

I loved the shot of Jensen's expression after than line :rotfl
And the "listen up, wavy gravy" got me :rotfl too.
ITA with everyone, one of the best episodes of the season (so far). First of all I found Dean cutting himself at the beginning really hot (which I find very disturbing....I think there's something wrong with me). But I also thought it was a very clever scene, showing us how far Dean's come along in terms of just not caring about himself anymore and how close to the edge he's willing to get.
Bela's really bugging the hell out of me, I hope she get's better as the season goes on. Although I can cut her some slack for telling the boys where Gordon was.
Jared and Jensen were great in the "hotel room" scene's, very intense, lot's of eye contact. And how cute were the scene's at the end? It's really nice to see some brother interaction, I've really missed it this season.
And Sam killing Gordon, the anger he felt towards him, I really felt it, I almost wanted to help Sam pull the wire tighter :evil Amazing scene on Jared's part.
Basically, awesome episode :cheer
Em
xx
hobbleit - March 10, 2008 09:29 AM (GMT)
I loved this episode.
Gordon's death was nice and gory.
And Bela didn't annoy me until she opened her mouth and started speaking
cheekymadam - March 10, 2008 01:45 PM (GMT)
GO SAMMMMMMMMMMMY!
:cheer :cheer :cheer :cheer :cheer
GORDOS DEAD
YIPPPPPPEEEEEE
:cheer :cheer :cheer :cheer :cheer
But Sterling who played Gordon was awesome he always got me annoyed so you know he was brillant at his job.
AWESOME STERLING :clap
crazyisgood - March 10, 2008 04:03 PM (GMT)
I love this episode, it goes in my top five, and that's saying something as there are so many good episodes. The brotherly moments made me feel all happy and giddy. I was kind of upset that Gordon became a vampire and got killed by Sam, kind of like slicing cheese with those wire cutterrs as in it's made of wire, he was an awesome bad guy who I just loved to hate, also did anyone else see his mouth open as he died? That was awesome. Sammy getting to fix the Impala made me like OMG but then Dean ruined the moment by saying about for when he's gone and I think Sam didn't like that. And Bela it's a ouiji board not a talking board, still don't like her accent it doesn't sound English, then again her vocal coach must only teach the Queen's English.
Christmas Episode next, in the middle of march, a bit late but what the hell, it's Supernatural!!!!
Ushani - March 10, 2008 04:57 PM (GMT)
Lauren Cohan is American but she actually lived in the UK. I think, like most shows, they asked her to speak in a proper english accent so the viewers dont get confused, like what they did with Tamara in 3x01.
lol, dean called gordon fat (well he called him gordo, for short. lol)
the way sam killed gordon was disturbing. but thats the point, lol
empala67 - March 10, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
I just realised I haven`t even posted a review here yet.
So anyone else wanna lick the blood from Dean`s arm?? That was pretty damn selfish of him to do that. As we found out later it was his game face, he`s really scared of the fact that he`s going to die. Jared`s performance was once again flawless in his big brother speach to Dean. I remember the first time I saw that, I cried! :cry He does it to me every time.
Hate that they killed Gordo off. I loved to hate him. Sterling was fantastic and I shall miss him. Loved the way they did it though. mmmmmmmmmmm love evil Sammy! :drool2
As for miss nasty knickers Bela.......as Dean says BITCH!

They called it a 'talking board' in IMTOD too - I think it might be something to do with 'ouija' being a copyrighted name.
According to IMDb Lauren was born in Philadelphia, but she grew up in England and actually refers to herself as English. And no-one but me seems to find it amusing that she attended Winchester University!
I agree about the accent though - she sounds like she just got out of stage school. I don't think that's necessarily her fault - I think it's just that the American writers don't have a clue how to write for an English accent (e.g. in Red Sky when she says 'you're oh for two so far' which a Brit would never say.)
I can't believe they actually showed the bit where Sam decapitates Gordon! Then again, I think they learned their lesson about censoring episodes to pieces after Skin!
It seems like Kripke loves to kill off all his great characters - John, Ash, Andy, Ava, and now the fabulous Gordon and Kubrick. *sigh* And yet still we're left with bloody Bela...

  It did cross my mind!! Especially seeing Dean's/Jensen's reaction to that line!!
When I first saw the episode I just remember thinking 30's not old but seeing it now after Jensen's birthday, it actually made me laugh out loud!!
Excellent episode - got everything we could wish for! Jared was awesome especially in the hotel speech and the bit at the end when he realises why Dean is explaining how to fix the car! Jensen's subtle looks were spot on as usual! The way he looked after Sam's hotel speech - as if he wanted to look at his brother but couldn't quite do it...might not seem like much but I thought it was awesome!!!
In my opinion, although I really love season 3, from now on the episodes are out of this world!!!

Totally agree with you Claire! It's such a shame the season was just picking up when the bloody writers strike happened!

Anyone got any idea as to ITV2's viewer ratings for this episode?

OMG head removed with razor wire! When Sam had him pinned and was looking at the wire I was thinking "Oh no, Sam wouldn't do that! The network wouldn't let them get away with that!" But they did and he did and it was gross as hell but so awesome!
And Sams big brother speech was so touching! I'm also liking the new, world-weary, bitter Sam. He's sexy!
Just one thing though...why do they keep using actors from Buffy to play vampires? The first blonde girl used to be Harmony in BTVS.
I also thought it was pretty telling when Gordon was talking about Sam not being human and Sam didn't argue with him, he just said "You're one to talk"!
So the million dolar question is...what is Sammy?
ice_dragon - March 12, 2008 07:57 PM (GMT)
I don't think even he knows. I don't think he even knows if he is diffrent to how he was before AHBL!

Ratings should be out for Fresh Blood next Wednesday on BARB (20th). Hopefully we won't follow the same pattern here as in the States - the ratings really dipped for Fresh Blood over there simply because of the negative viewer reaction to The Bela Show. I mean Red Sky At Morning... :bang
crazyisgood - March 13, 2008 11:02 PM (GMT)
Watching this episode again now as it's just starting.
Can't wait to see Gordon again. And It starts NOW.

Am i the only one who is getting a little bit nervous as to what Sam is
turning into?
He seems to be getting darker as the series goes on. A series back and
Sam would never have behaved that way, Dean maybe, but not sammy!!!
Still, loving all things supernatural, and agree bela should go!

I like evil Sammy but then again my friends say i'm evil in disguise. Especially in the episode Croatoan, Sam wouldn't even shoot that kid who was under that demonic virus whereas Dean just went bang to the dad and mum.

you are not alone! its kinda creepy, but a funny coincidence at the same time...
i dont actually mind her that much! ok, her accent is annoying- it doesnt actually sound like a normal british person (speaking as a true Brit!)
And her character is annoying, but I think that's the point. She's supposed to be really really immoral, which puts things in perspective, and makes people realise that so many people are benefiting from this war and also being adffected by it. this whole time we've seen the life surrpunding sam and dean because iot was all about the YED and mary, but now its got a hell of a lot more bigger than that! its a world war, between the hell escapees and the hunters, so we have to seee how this is all affectiong others.
Also, we now know there are more immoral people (not demons) than dean (cept dean is not really that immoral coz apart from being a walking billboard of lust and gluttony, he does all these amazing things like saving people, hunting things, the family business- sorry, couldnt resist saying that...so he does these things to make up for it) and my guess is the amazing :bow winchesters are gonna change Bela - for the better and that will be good! I have faith in Kripke and Co :P
Phoenix222 - March 15, 2008 02:05 PM (GMT)
I love the fact that Sam has bigger balls in this series and it was awesome when he killed Gordon but I really didn't want Gordon to die! He was a great adversary for the boys and it was obvious that he was gonna die but I didn't want it to happen just yet. Oh well, at least Sam and Dean are still ok!!

I agree. It's giving a different perspective on the war slightly so as it's not just Sam and Dean. I think they'll change her aswell and I want to know what her secret is from Red Sky at Morning, maybe that'll be her changing point if she tells them as in she actually puts trust into them.
