Sam threw him a dirty look. “Yeah, and maybe they’ll even toss in neutering you for free, Dean. Save the women of the world all the grief of having you chasing them like a dog all the time?”

What a great start, love Sam's line about saving women from being chased by Dean by having him neutured.

And I do love Bobby, love that even though they burnt his house to a crisp and have helped that poor man age by a million years, he still offers them a place to stay. By the way what's an Airstream ? Is that a caravan ?

I was so on Dean's side for not liking that vet, he's just beyond friggin weird.

What a great start. I'm so thrilled I have something to look forward to while we wait a month and a half for SPN to return. The brothers banter had me smiling like an idiot from beggining to end. :cloud9 I was completely surprised by the amulet! Course everything surprises me.. lol Looking forward to the next chapter.

A very good start! I really liked the amulet thing a lot, pretty clever. And Dean punching John's old friend was great, that dude is shady, lol. John driving and boys sleeping, such a sweet imagine! And Bobby is a true friend.

Thanks everyone for your comments. It's always hard to know if we're getting things right when we plan all this out and try to plot everything so it all interlocks.

Hopefully the ride is only going to get more fun from here! And the cliffies get more evil, of course! :evil

I'm sooo glad you guys are back!! I need something to tide me over until April 24th and this is the perfect thing to do it! Awesome start...loved the vivid gore of Sam digging into the demon's chest to get the bullet--I should know better than to be eating when I read this stuff :D

And I adored Protective!Dean fretting over not being able to be with Sam when the vet (LOL!) was working on him.

I'm really pleased that you liked the way we resolved the whole thing with the guys- I know that between Kitts and I especially - we were pretty tired of 'deals' too....

Finally- I hadnt really considered the impact of John driving off with both boys asleep in the car there at the end ( some of you took that in a slightly different context than I intended but thats totally cool) ... thanks for giving me as the writer a different view of what I wrote- and a kinda warm fuzzy myself....

I absolutely loved this chapter. I loved Dean being all big brothery and protective; I loved Sam trying to make Dean feel better about the amulet; loved Sammy dropping that wall on John's foot :lol: ; loved the John and Sam bonding moment...I love fics that show John as a caring father; loved Bobby being completely played by Sam and Dean; the fight scene was really intense and so well written; Latin!Sam had me all of a quiver and the Hurt!Sam was just perfect! Some pretty awesome Limp there. :lol:

Oh...shallow moment here but I loved the pics too. Especially ELAC!Sammy :wub: and Towel!Sammy :thud . Oh, Sammy...you certainly wouldn't ruin my appetite. :fire
