*The Pretty Girl*
Willow stood in front of her mirror, straightening out her black dress. "What am I going to do? This is our first date, well around people at least." She told her best friend Buffy. More so around you. Willow thought, feeling the guilt peek through her face. She knows. It's over!
Buffy was lying on Willows bed listening intently. "Will, we all know about you and Xander. I mean you two are together all day and all night. Some sparkage was bound to happen." She explained.
Willow turned to face Buffy. No, you have it all wrong. Me and Xander are not a couple and will never be again. That was a mistake. More to say me and Angel are together and I don't want our friendship to get ruined becuase of it. "I love him Buffy, I really do" She announced. "And he loves me, I just know it!" Willow added.
Buffy smiled at her friend. "And you deserve to be happy. You both do." she assured her.
How can I be happy if I know all of the stuff that he did to you. Three days ago he broke your heart and now...... "I don't know what I'm doing?" Willow confessed.
"I'm sure this is big for Xander too." Buffy stated.
Willow wiped some tears away and took some of the make up Buffy offered. "Don't worry Will, tonight is going to be specail between you two." Buffy added, boosting her confidence more. And it will be specail and romantic.
She's being so nice and calm about this. And she thinks that I'm meeting Xander. I can't tell her who I'm really meeting. She'll never speak to me again. "Are you nervous?" Buffy asked.
Willow broke out of her thoughts. "No, I'm not nervous." she barked.
Buffy sat up. "Will, are you okay?" she asked.
Willow looked everywhere but at her friend. This was starting to be to much. She could feel the air become moist and the sweat come down. Her eyes were starting to burn from the ruined eye shadow. Okay, times up. Here goes nothing. "Willow, are you even in there?"
"I'm sorry, I'm really really sorry, but we love each other Buffy and you would just have to accept that, even if you think I'm a horrible friend." Willow stated.
Buffy got up off the bed. "Willow are you and Xander having second thoughts?" she asked.
Come on, just hol it a little longer. "It's not Xander, it's Angel!" Willow blurted.
Buffy qiuckly snapped her mouth shut. After several minutes she started toward the door and faced her friend one last time. "I can't believe that you would even do this to me." She turned and walked out into the hall, where she found the steps that led downstars, opened the door and slammed it shut. She was really hurt right now. Nothing could ever make her forgive them both.
Angel sat at one of the tables in the Bronze, where he was waiting patiently for Willow. He couldn't wait to see her. When she comes through that door he wants all eyes on her, with those beautiful eyes, shiney red hair, and long black dress that fits tenderly in her small fragile body. Angel couldn't handle it any longer. He just had to see her, too feel her, and kiss those cherry red lips. He pushed the chair back and left th Bronze. Maybe she's nervous.
Willow was again standing in front of her mirror. What was she thinking? The girl who was staring back at her looked disconnected and heartbroken, just like Buffy. She turned from the mirror and slowly exited her room. Buffy had him first. She really has no right, but then again Angel broke up with her so it's all good. But why does she feel so horrible inside. Willow shook the feeling and took each step carefully toward the door. "I'm going to the Bronze with Angel." she announced, happily, as she grabbed her overcoat, opened the door and left her house. The smile never fading away.
She began walking down the sidewalk, just imagining herself dancing with Angel. She was too caught up in the music and turning that she didn't see or hear the out of control car from straight ahead. Angel was walking to her house when he saw the accident. He ran over to her and knelt down, as the man got out to check. "Is she alright?" the guy asked.
"Call for help!" Angel hissed, showing who he really was.
The man stared at him for a minute and blinked before dialing 911.
He placed her head on his lap and brushed her hair back. "Willow." he whispered, trying not to cry to much, as he desperateli tried wiping the blood from her face.
Willow smiled up at him. "Angel, I got all pretty for you." she said, as her voice started slowing down to an audible whisper.
Angel put his finger to her lips. "Try not to move." he said, panicking.
He watched from the side as the ambulance took his girl away. Don't worry Willow. We'll make it through this and share that dance that I saved for you. A familair voice called out his name. "What happened here?" Buffy asked, as she stepped beside Angel.
Angel nodded. "She'll be fine. It was just a scratch!" he said. He saw how bad it was and knew that it asnt just a scratch. Why can't he die like regular people, instead of being tortured for all eternity.
