Title: Folklores and Superstitions

I know some Supernatural ep’s are based on actual folklores and superstitions, is there actually a place in Wyoming with railway lines laid out in the shape of a pentagram
Was there ever such a thing as a deal making demon?

The deal making demon...depends on what you're willing to believe I guess! Who are we to argue with Kripke :lol2
The cemetery, while not in Wyoming as far as I know, is believed by some to exist just out of Lawrence (OMG) Kansas.
QUOTE
The unincorporated area of Stull, Kansas, which lies just west of Lawrence across Clinton Lake, contains a cemetery that a popular local urban legend claims is a "gateway to hell." In 2003, a church that stood next to the cemetery was torn down after years of abandonment.
That's from Wikipedia...found it a while back when someone did and interview (might have been the Paley Festival) and they mentioned that Lawrence was chosen for a reason!
Stull Cemetery That's the page about it

Thanks man..should have used google too :D

Kripke and Co are freak'n unreal. I never know there was such a dark side to the US. Going back to the Crossroads ep, Dean was talking to Sam about a muso called Robert Johnson- how he sang about Hell Hounds and Crossroads...there REALLY is a man back in the 40's that sung about Hell Hounds and Crossroads. So even back in the 40's people were believing in Crossroads and deal making Demons-Voodoo stuff.
It'll be V interesting to know where the concept of the deal demons :fire came from and how it originated
