I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this, but I have a question; will there ever be a challenge for traditional fan art? Y'all remember, them old-fashioned things made with paper and pens, back before that new-fangled Photoshop? :lol: Just curious about that; computers leave me in a daze, but I love to do actual drawings, so...perhaps it wouldn't be as popular, but it could be interesting...

I haven't drawn hardly anything in years so it'd be a great motivator. Doing computer art is so lazy since I don't have to collect all my art stuff that I have scattered every where. Photos, canvas, brushes, colors are all in one place making computer art great for lazy scatterbrains like me!

I would really love to do something like that. The banners, avi's and wallpaper people make are beautiful, and I love them; you just don't see much traditional fanart anymore. :)

...tell us what to draw/paint...Favorite bad guy/character/brother/scene/episode/quote...whatever, then we can submit photo's/scans of our work :D

hum...well, let me think. How about a challenge for a traditional done promo poster? Something that, perhaps, requires pictures of both guys, at least one evil that's appeared throughout the series, an original or quoted tagline and the logo? Pencil, ink, paint, pastel, chalk or any other sort of traditional media. Pictures can be recreated from actual screenshots or be original (EG, one's own version of a werewolf, vampire, spirit, etc.) NO use of computers for any part, including touchups.

how's that? of course if anyone else has any ideas, or a change of requirements, that's be fine too! :D

Sounds good to me! One question, though. After the challenge starts, when should the deadline be? One week later? Two?

hand-done art takes a bit longer than computer art, so I'd say two weeks.

not really sure how long they usually run but the "Header banner" for the site challenge ran for quite a while :unsure: as did the "dvd cover" one...

The amount of time challenges run for varies, depending on what it is. We can run this one for three weeks. :)

3 weeks sounds good! and i'm kinda relieved! I'm planning to do mine in colored pencil, and that takes forever and a day!

I do a lot of drawing during the school year, but haven't done much since summer started. I'm excited to get back into it!

i haven't been drawing in years, but maybe i'd give it a try... :) holidays start in a week, so i'll have more time... :D
