He watched her as she danced gracefully across her bedroom floor. Her room was neat and tidy and there was nothing on her floor. Her bedroom window was open so he could hear the sweet melody of her ballet music she was dancing to. She had long and curly black hair that was tied in a high tight bun and she wore her ballet outfit.
The rain pounded on her window and on Donny’s shell as he watched her take her hair out of the bun and as she shook her hair loose. Every single strand of hair loosen and fell back on her shoulders. She slid of her tutu skirt and placed it in her closet. Don crept closer to the window but not closer enough for her to spot his reflection in her mirror.
He’s been watching her for some time now. Basically every night he would watch her from the rooftop a few meters away. It all started when He and his brothers saved her from Shedder’s ninjas a few weeks ago and he can’t get her out of his mind. Her beautiful black hair and ocean blue eyes that you could get lost in. Her thin, slender, curvy perfect body. She was an angel not only when she danced but every movement she made was so graceful like she was dancing in water.
But he had a problem. A big one at that. He wanted to kiss her so much but he couldn’t. He never even talked to a girl let alone kiss one. Sure he fought against the Foot ninjas and battled against Shredder himself, but this was something entirely different. This was a girl. A member of the opposite sex. He couldn’t just go up and talk to her. For one, he was a mutant turtle and she would scream and two, he’s been too busy busying himself with new inventions and computer systems. He didn’t know how to talk to one. Okay, so he talked to April, but this was different. He actually liked, no loved her. But how was he going to talk to her?
Lighting flashed as he crept even closer to her window and looked in a bit. She jumped and shrieked as thunder boomed a few minutes later. Or maybe it wasn’t from the thunder. She gasped when she saw a dark figure of Don in the side of her mirror.
“Oh my!”
Than just as quickly as the lightning flashed again, the reflection was gone.
She quickly hurried to her opened window and called out to the reflection “No, wait. Come back!”
Don stilled for a moment. His heart thumping rapidly in his throat. She saw him! He wasn’t supposed to be seen, Master Splinter taught him better.
“It’s okay, come back” she said soothingly. She even sounded like an angel. Don felt like he should run but he couldn’t get his feet to respond. He seemed frozen in place.
“Please, come back” she pleaded. She sounded so much like Mickey when he was younger. He couldn’t deny his baby brother either. He turned towards her “I-I’m not sure t-that’s such a good idea” he stuttered. He felt like a school boy. He wringed his hands together, nervously.
He slowly came back on her window sill again, the moonlight didn’t shine on his body.
“Why were you watching me?” she asked gently.
Don was taken back.
There wasn’t any anger in her voice like he expected there to be.
He didn’t answer.
“Do you want to come in? My Dad aren’t home yet” she asked.
“N-no.”
He didn’t want to show himself, he was to scared that she would scream at his appearance.
He felt his face grow red with embarrassment. Was he blushing?
“Are you sure? The window sill doesn’t look very comfortable.”
“You p-promise you won’t scream?” he asked very nervous now.
“I promise” she swore and backed a little ways from her window.
Don carefully swung his leg through her window.
She gave out a tiny gasp when she saw a green foot. But she wasn’t afraid.
Luckily, Donatello didn’t hear it. He slowly let the rest of his body go through her window until he was completely in. He held his breath and prepared his ears from her scream.
She didn’t scream, she was too entranced.
He opened his eyes and breathed “How come you’re not screaming?”
She didn’t say anything at first, still to entranced by his green turtle-like appearance.
“It’s you” she said quietly “You’re the one who saved me that day.”
A small smile crept on his face. She remembered him, and she didn’t scream.
“You- you remembered” he said, shyly.
“How could I forget” she stepped closer to him “I’m Sam by the way, but everybody calls me Sammy.”
“Donatello” he told her “But you can call me Don or Donny if you like. My brothers call me that.”
He felt his face grow hot again. He was blushing. Why though? This wasn’t logical.
“Your other brothers? You mean the other turtles?”
He nodded and carefully sat on her bed.
“Wow, that’s a lot of brothers” she complimented.
“Do you have any siblings?” he asked quietly. He could feel his face grow less hot.
“Two. One older and another younger.”
“What’s the age difference?”
“The oldest one is 18 and the younger one is 3” she answered.
“I have two older and one younger brother” he told her.
“Are you the eldest?” she sat down next to him. He felt her foot connect with his green-skinned ankle. That made his breath quicken and shift a bit.
“No, Leo and Ralph are older than me, than it’s Mickey.”
He felt really uncomfortable with her but yet he didn’t want to leave.
“Donny?” she used his special name that his brother’s uses “Why were you watching me?”
Again, she didn’t sound upset. Just, curious. How could he tell her? If computer’s were easy to work, why couldn’t he get his voice to work so he could answer her question.
He opened his mouth but closed it again.
She waited. She waited patiently for his answer.
“I-I wanted to make sure t-that you were okay” he half-lied. He did want to make sure that she was alright.
She sat on her knees “Donny, tell me the truth.”
Their eyes met and she held his gaze. His brown eyes got lost in her blue ones for the longest time.
She brushed some hair behind her ears.
“I like you. I mean, like-like you. I mean more than a friend maybe more” he rambled.
It felt like his brain was melting. This girl, a girl was making his brain melt.
She giggled. She knew what was wrong now.
“Donny? Do you think I’m pretty?”
“No, he answered bluntly “You’re absolutely beautiful.”
Her face brightened drastically.
She came closer to him.
“You’ve never kissed a girl before, have you?” she asked innocently with a hint of mischief in her tone.
He blushed a bit.
She giggled again and very quickly, without Don even acknowledging that she moved, she gave him a little kiss on his green cheek.
His hand went to where she kissed him. Strangely, he liked it.
He looked at her and he moved closer to her. God, computers were so much easier than girls.
“You okay?”
“I-I’m fine” he answered in a surprised tone.
“See, no cooties” she teased.
It was like she read his mind.
He smiled.
“Can we try it again? Like you know…” he said shyly.
“On the lips?” she asked.
He nodded and blushed even more.
She came even closer to him, Don could see her every eye lashes perfectly.
Since she filled in most of the gap, he filled in the rest.
Their lips slowly touched.
It wasn’t anything Don either felt or experienced before. It felt strange at first, to have someone else’s lips on his but he quickly got used to it. He liked the feeling of a girl on his lips, kissing him but he still held back a bit.
She pulled back asking “You alright?”
“Yeah” he said “I’m great actually.”
“Good” and she kissed him again.
He loved the feeling of her soft warm lips on his. The way, her lips weren’t dry but not wet either. The way she kisses. Slow, soft and calm but passionate. It was amazing for him to experience.
Just by her kiss, even though he never kissed a girl before, he knew that she liked him back. Even a high chance that she loved him back and that was enough for him to kiss her back.
THE END.
