The Pure and Righteous Declaration of Catastrophe

Chapter One
Just a regular girl?

“Mama!!! Where are you?” Ayamia woke up in a cold sweat.
“Ayamia! Breakfast!” her father called upstairs.
“Yea, yeah...” she got up and went to her regular daily tasks. After she changed into her school outfit, a green skirt and with a green shirt and loafers. She brushed her hair and teeth, and made her bed. “Bye mom!” she called to the only memory of her mother, a picture that was taken just before she disappeared. Ama was 6 when she disappeared, so she didn’t remember much.
Ayamia Shingii was a senior at Takashima high school. She had shoulder length brown hair, and sad grey eyes. She was 17 and was best friends with Katana Meminajo. Ayamia’s father was the head of a big company, so she was really rich. Her hobbies were painting and singing.
“So, what are we having today?” Ama asked as she slid down the bannister.
“Your favorites, as always,” the cook said brightly.
“I’m gonna get fat from always eating my favorites! O well! Every piece of heaven costs something!” she sat down and started eating. “Hey, dad, I’m gonna go over to Neko-chan’s house after school today, ok?”
“Okay, just be sure to get all of your homework done, and be back by 11. You know the rules.” her father replied.
“Yeah yeah,” she flapped her hand.

“Good morning Neko-chan!!”
“Morining Ama-chan!”
“Anything interesting happen while I was gone?”
“Not really. Self-proclaimed Snob, SPS, was in the rampage again, as usual. Why?” a blonde girl with black eyes replied.
“Just wonderin’! Hey this is the last trimester of High school, right?” Ama asked Katana.
“Yeah, why?”
“We will all soon be in college!!!! No more uniforms!” Ama got a dreamy look on her face.
“A-ama-chan, you did it again.”
“What?”
“You went on your fashion rampage again.”
“Oh... I kinda freak you out, huh?”
“Yeah, a little...”
“Sorry!”
“Teacher’s here!” a student called to the rest of the class.
“Well, thus starts another long, boring, uniform wearing school day!”
Katana laughed.

“Finally! I thought the lunch bell would never ring!” Ama stretched as she walked past everyone, ignoring them. “Neko-chan! The spot under the cherry blossom tree is free!”
“Yes! Coming Ama-chan! Wow! That looks great!” Katana squealed in delight at the sight of Ama’s lunch.
“I know.” She flipped her hair over her shoulder like a snob, and then burst out laughing. “Neko-chan! Do I look like the SPS?” Ama started to push imaginary people out of her way and held her head in a snobbish way.
“Ama-chan! You can’t be that way! You look exactly like the SPS!” when Katana said it, Ayamia lost her composure and the girls burst out laughing.
“Ama-chan, you crack me up!” Katana giggled as she wiped tears away from her eyes. When they both caught their breath, they got out their lunches.
“Let’s eat!’ they started to eat. Three freshmen that were walking by started laughing and pointing. Katana heard one of them say, “That’s her that’s the girl we heard about!” “She doesn’t look that bad” “remember we got told that she’s a real bitch” “well I suppose so”
“Just ignore them, Ama-chan.” Katana said when she saw the crest fallen face her friend was wearing.
“Well I guess you’re right Neko-chan. So, what did you bring for lunch today?”

“Dad, I’m home!” No response. ‘Hmm, he must be working today. O well, it’s late, so I’ll make my own snack. Let me see here...” Ama opened the fridge and was thinking about what to make when she heard a noise outside.
“Hey, who’s out there?”
She looked outside and stood on the porch when something black jumped out in front of her. “Oh, it’s just you, Olathe.” Ama picked up her cat, and wondered how she got out. Her dad knew not to let her out, and all of the windows were closed. She walked inside with Olathe in her arms, and felt something or someone watching her. Could it be a stalker or something? Is there a rapist on the loose? “Dad, is that you?” Still nothing. “Who are you? What are you? What do you want with me?”
“Ayamia!” a voice called.
“What?” she jumped.
“Who are you talking to?” Her father asked.
“No one. Why are you in so late?” she asked curiously, still scanning the darkness with her eyes.
“Work.”
“Well, good night.”
He waved his hand just to say that he barely knew that he barely acknowledged that she existed.
“Whatever. Come on, Olathe.”

“Morning Neko-chan!” Ama said with a smile.
“Hey,” Katana replied.
“Oh what is the doom and gloom look for?”
“Nuthin.”
“It looks like you found out you only have 2 days to live,”
“That would be an improvement..”
“Okay well see ya later k”
“Uh huh.”
I wonder what’s wrong with her, she’s normally so happy, Ama thought to herself as she walked to her first hour class.

“A new kid came to my house this morning, and my mom thought he was my boyfriend. You know how my mom feels about guys coming over to my house without her knowing about it,” Katana finally spilled.
“Neko-chan, what’s so bad about that?” Ama asked innocently.
“Ama-chan, I’m grounded! I can’t go anywhere, I can’t even talk on the phone! No one can come over to my house, not even you, Ama-chan!”
“Woa, your mom’s really strict.”
“Yup, that’s mommy dearest for you!”
“I’m really sorry, so what else is new?”
“Nuthin its just that the new boy that showed up at my house is starting school here.”
“Oh really? Is he-“
”What about him?” a slender boy came walking up and Ayamia felt her heart throb. Talk about a dreamer.
“Why didn’t you tell me he was so cute!” Ama whispered in Katana’s ear.
“Sorry, but I was kinda getting in trouble.” Katana whispered back fiercely.
“Hey, you,” the boy said pointing at Ama, “where’s the classroom?”
“This way. C’mon, Neko-chan! We were almost done eating lunch, anyway.” Ama pleaded.
“Oh! You were eating lunch? Can I join you?” the guy asked, surprised and distracted.
“Sure!” the girls almost yelled at the same time. When they looked closer, they saw that the boy had pale green eyes, nicely combed blonde hair, and boasted an air of wonder that made even the untouchable heart of Katana’s throb.
“He looks good in that uniform!” Katana sighed to Ama.
“I know!” they both giggled.
“What’s so funny? Do I have something on me?” the boy asked, looking around at them.
“No, its nothing,” Katana sighed again.
“Hey, What’s your name, anyway?” Ama asked, suddenly serious.
“Your right! I haven’t told you my name yet, have I? My name is-“ the bell that signified the end of lunch rang.
“Come on Neko-chan! Let’s go to class!” Ama grabbed Katana’s hand and almost dragged her away towards the school building.

“Well well, little miss angel doesn’t know, does she?” A snickering voice came from behind the new kid.
“Oh knock it off, Akito. Isn’t that a bad sign?” the new guy said.
“Yes and no. It means that her human side may be more powerful than we thought, and that is good for us, but bad for them!” the voice- Akito- said, laughing.
“Shut up.” the new guy was annoyed at Akito. “Tomorrow I start school. You aren’t to come and visit me okay? I’m worried about her.”
“The angel girl?”
“No, her friend. She seemed to have caught on to me, and your presence will only heighten the effect. In other words, your being here is bad. GO AWAY!!!” He bellowed the last, and Akito’s presence disappeared. Ayamia, my dearest... wait for me.

“Neko-chan! Where’s your cute friend?” Ayamia ran up to Katana smiling.
“Look, Ama-chan, I think you should stay away from him.”
“Why?”
“Please, just do it for me?”
“S-sure...” she agreed to stay away from him, but couldn’t shake the feeling that she knew him from somewhere, or rather, sometime.
“When she got home, she tossed her books aside and laid down on her bed, wondering why Katana would want her to stay away from a regular guy. Is he regular though? Ama asked herself. No, I guess not, I sense something from him, some weird power from him, although I don’t know what it is. Maybe I’m not supposed to know yet? Mama, what do I do? Help me please! No answer. “C’mon Olathe. I don’t feel well, so I’m not gonna do my homework. Let’s go to bed. I’ll see how I feel tomorrow. Right now I’m... dizzy...” she collapsed on her bed.

When Ama woke up, she wasn’t surprised to see faces looming in and out of her fever-blurred vision.
“Ayamia-sama! Can you hear me? Ayamia-sama!” Someone asked, tooloud for Ama’s sensitive ears.
“Be quiet! The noise hurts! What’s wrong with me?” Ama groaned.
“Ama-sama! Lay still. We will be quiet. You have a fever, and are going to stay home from school today. We will call the school and explain to them what has happened.” the cook whispered to Ama.
“Call neko-chan too, and tell her what’s happened. Will everyone go away now? I’m really tired, and thirsty too.”
A maid volunteered. “I’ll get Ayamia-sama some water!”
“SHH!!” people whispered at her, because the maid had almost yelled in her happiness to do something for Ama.
“Sorry!” she whispered back.
The cook ushered everyone else out of the room. “We will be leaving now, Ama-sama. Good night.”
Ama flapped her hand and fell asleep.

At first, she was flying. Soaring like an eagle through the sky. She could feel the wind running over her skin, through her hair, and ruffling her feathers. She looked behind her and saw wings. If she hadn’t been her dream-self, then she probably would have freaked and fallen. But her dream-self just shrugged it off, like seeing big, beautiful, white wings sprouting out of shoulders was everyday life. When Dream Ama looked down, she saw her house. She wanted to go and say hi, an invisible force kept pulling her, but to where? The pull was getting stronger, a d she could almost make out words... as she got closer, she heard...

“AYAMIA-SAMA!!!” the cook bellowed in Ama’s ear.
“What? Why are you yelling? I can hear you just fine.” Ayamia said, rubbing the offended ear.
“Okay. You were acting strangely, so I thought that I would wake you up.”
“Acting strangely how?”
“Like you were being ushered around a beautiful ballroom with a guy leading you. Ah the teenage wonder years. Did I guess right? Anyway, since you are up,” the cook had a sly grin on her face. “It’s time for your medicine!”
“Aww! Now? Why? I was planning on going back to sleep...” It was no use. If nothing else, the cook was stubborn... very stubborn.
“O.P.E.N.” the cook ordered.
“Fine.”
“All done! See, it wasn’t that bad, was it?”
“You never said anything about taste!” Ama complained with a funny face that made the cook laugh. “What’s so funny?”
“Nothing, Ama-sama. Go to sleep now.”
“If I can. Tell everyone that I said good night.” Ama rolled over and closed her eyes. She was out like a light.

She was floating over her school. Again, she looked back and saw her wings. This time, she was slightly more surprised to see them, but she didn’t fall. She scanned the school yard and saw Katana. “Neko-chan!” Ama realizes Katana can’t hear her. “Neko-channnnn,” She whines. She turns around and scans the rest of the yard. There is the new boy. She gets a chill down her spine when she sees him look into the spot where she is and smiles, like he could see her...

“What was that chill? He looked at me as though he knew that I was there. But, why would he?” Ama mussed aloud when she sat up, fully awake and fresh from the dream.
“Ayamia-sama!!!!! You’re awake!!!” a maid burst through the door, crying.
“Um... Yeah... why are you crying?” Ama wondered, comforting the emotional maid. “Michioko-gesu, please help with Meako-gesu.” Ama asked, calling the maid’s tein sister.
“Meako, leave Ayamia-sama alone.” To Ama, Michioko said, “I’ll call the cook to see if your fever’s broken. C’mon, Meako.”
After a little while, the cook came in with a thermometer. “You know what to do, Amayia-sama.” When the cook took it back, she smiled. “Congratulations, Ama-sama. Your fever is gone.”
“Good. That means that I can go back to school tomorrow, right?”
“If you don’t get sick again, yes.”
“YEA!!! Well, I’m hungry. What’s for lunch?” Ama’s stomach growled.
“Lunch? LUNCH??? ITS NEARLY DINNER!!” the cook cried, outraged.
“Oh.” Amayia said in a small voice.
“How does curry sound?”
“YUMMY!!!”

“Neko-Chan! I missed you!” Amayia hugged Katana as she walked in the school yard.
“Me too Ama-chan! Where were you yesterday? I was worried about you!” Katana stood with her arms crossed.
“I was sick with a fever. What happened yesterday? Any juicy news?” Amayia asked rubbing her hand together.
“Not really. Someone cheated on a retake test, but that is it. The cheater wasn’t even in our class though so Oh well.” Katana said as thought it was the most boreing thing in the world and really it kind of was.
“Really? Did the new kid introduced yesterday?”
“Yeah. His name is Hatsuharu,” Katana told Amayia knowing what he next quetion was going to be.
“Hmmmmmmm, Hatsuharu-kun, no Hatsuharu-san, no I don’t know. What’s his last name?” Amayia asked curiosity brimming her voice.
“It’s Izyiou” Katana answered with one eye brow raised “Why though?”
“Just thinking about what to call him is all. Izyiou-san seems so ...blah, but Hatsuharu does too.”
“You like him don’t you.” Katana asked with an accusing tone in her voice. Amayia admitted defeat lowered her head like a child who was being berated.
