Claudia has pale smooth skin, due to the fact that she is a vampire. She has a round(slightly ovalish) face, and deep brown round eyes(which are her most drawing feature), and thick pink lips. Her blond hair falls down past her shoulders. During her early years, her hair was slightly wavey/curly. But over the years, it has straightened. She is about 5 feet 7 inches in height, and her weight is about 120 pounds. She wears clothing of the current fashions, mainly to blend in, though she does preffer dresses and skirts to pants, because they remind her of her past.
Claudia is an angelic spirit who has fallen from grace for one reason or another - she made one tragic mistake that cost her everything. In any case, she is faithless and joyless. She finds no happiness, love, or acceptance in her love or in herself. Most days are a burden and she wonders when the hurting will end. Sweet, beautiful and sorrowful, she paints a tragic and touching picture. She is the one that few understand. Those that do know her are likely to love her deeply and wish that they could do something to ease her pain. She is constantly living in memories of better times and a better world. She is hard on herself and self-critical or self-loathing. Feeling rejected and unloved, she is sensitive, caring, deep, and despite her tainted nature, her soul is breathtakingly beautiful.
Despite the fact that she is so depressed on the inside, she rarely let's it show, except to those who are close to her. She projects a superior aura, which can often intimidate those around her. She's highly educated, due to her long life. She has strong beliefs on what a vampire is supposed to be, and how they should behave. She grew up during the time when there weren't as many vampires, when vampires were eloquent, smart, resourceful... she has seen an increase in vampires as years went by, due to their wanting companions, or wanting their friends and family to live immortally just as they. She has seen vampired become stupid, and reckless, and she absolutly hates the newer generations of vampires. She grows easily annoyed by them.
She feels alone in the world, because there are not many older vampires in the world. She's very disconnected with vampires, humans, and herself. But she makes it through her life, growing colder, bolder, and stronger. Because of her near three hundred years of living, she has far more strength than she had when she first became a vampire. Her senses of smell, sight, and sound have gotten far more accute.
Claudia was born on September 16th 1720 in her family home. She was the second of five daughters to a middle-class family, who lived on a rather large farm in Hartfordshire. Claudia's father was a loving and caring english gentleman. Her mother was overbearing, but that was perhaps due to the stress of trying to find suitable husbands for her daughters. Unfortunately for the Bennets, if Mr Bennet were to die their house would be inherited by a distant cousin whom they had never met, so the family's happiness and security was dependant on the daughters making good marriages. When a wealthy bachelor took up residence in a nearby mansion for the summer, the Bennets were abuzz. Amongst the man's sophisticated circle of friends, surely there would be no shortage of suitors for the Bennet sisters.
Soon enough, Mr.Reynolds knocked upon their door, to introduce himself, and invite them to a party. Claudia's mother was in a frightful tizzy, extremely excited about this, and scurrying about to try to make her daughters presentable. All of Claudia's younger sisters were equally excited, however Mary and Claudia(who were the closest of them all), kept a level head. Mary knew the pressures upon the family, and saw it as her duty, being the eldest, to find a suitable husband. While Claudia felt the same, partially, she was in no particular hurry to become the 'slave' to a man.
However, at the party a charming young man introduced himself to her as Mr. Demetrius Wickham. At first, she 'blew him off', not interested in the courtly affairs. Mary, who was considered the most beautiful of all the Bennet daughters was quickly persued by Mr.Reynolds. Claudia's mother was so excited by the fact that Mr.Reynolds was entranced by Mary that she nearly forgot about her other daughters. For several weeks, Mary and Mr.Reynolds had courted, but the time came when Mr.Reynolds had to leave. This left Mary heartbroken... as well as their mother, who had high hopes that the two would wed. The family seemed to sink into a depression.
Mr.Wickham reappeared in town, accompanied by one of his friends(Rawdon Osborune), who Lydia, (Claudia's youngest sister, and ever the flirt) took a liking to. Mr.Osborune invidted Lydia to spend the week at Mr.Wickham's mansion in London. Of course, their mother thought this to be quite out of place for the youngest to be travelling and staying with a man alone. Lydia, of course, threw a fit. But finally, their mother agreed, under the condition that Claudia accompany her(as she hoped that Mr.Wickham would ask Claudia into marriage). Claudia at first refused, but at Lydia's constant whining, and her mother's constant begging, she finally agreed.
Lydia and Claudia made their way to London with Mr.Wickham and Mr.Osborune. Both men were quite charming, in an odd sort of way. Still, Claudia was not so easily woed, as her younger sister was. It took several nights of talking, and of woeing to finally win Claudia's heart over, but soon enough Demetrius Wickham had gotten it. One night, while the two were out in the garden, things started to get rather steamy. While they were making love, Demetrius changed, of course, Claudia couldn't see it, because it was dark, and his face was burried into her busom. Before she knew it, he bit her neck in the heat of passion. She screamed, but slowly died down.
She was then re-born, as a vampire. She had only assumed that Rawdon was a vampire as well, and had chosen Lydia to be his companion... however, that was not the case. Lydia had been killed, the very night Claudia had been re-born. Claudia of course felt slight remorse foe the loss of her sister, but the rmorse was weakened by her new vampiric nature. Lydia was an annoying little twit. Claudia couldn't imagine living eternity with Lydia. Claudia watched her family from afar for several years. She watched as Mr.Reynolds finally came back and asked Mary to be his wife. She watched as her family rejoiced in something good... finally, after loosing two daughters.
She lived with Demetirus and Rawdon for many years, learning from them both. Demetrius, she found, at times to be selfish. Demetrius longed for companionship for so long, he longed for a new companion, as Rawdon was a vampire when they met. What Demetrius wanted, Demetrius got. Demetrius wanted Claudia. But Claudia, after many years, grew tired of Demetrius. She had questions he wouldn't answer about vampires, she grew tired of his games, and he jesting. Rawdon, at first was nothing more than another vampire... a friend to Demetrius. But after Claudia grew tired of Demetrius's ordering, and selfishness, and care-free attitude, she found solis in Rawdon. The two began to have a secret affair, feeding together, making love together. This affair continued for 30 years. One night, Demetrius walked in on them drinking eachothers blood while making love, after draining a few gyspies, and he grew enraged. Claudia was /his/ companion, not Rawdon's. The two males got into a fight, and Demetrius killed Rawdon.
This was, perhaps what changed Claudia more than being turned into a vampire. At first, she was quite depressed about the loss of her vampire lover. She stayed silent, locked away in her room for many days. Demetrius finally broke down her door and ravished her, demanding that she be as in love with him as she was with Rawdon. Finally, Claudia couldn't stand it any longer. She hated Demetrius for killing Rawdon, and for killing her to her family, for taking away every joy in her life that she attempted to kill him. Of course, it didn't work quite as she had hoped, so she fled. She made her way to America in 1784.
She lived in America for about 200 years, angry and vengeful twords her own kind. She loved and envied the humans that surrounded her. They were precious to her, yet oddly she was considered brutal in her ways. The only thing that led others to consider her brutal, was the fact that she would take something from her victims. A trophy, and item to remember them by, a way to cling onto humanity. Sometimes it was a locket, sometimes she would rip the hair out of their skulls. If it was a particular human she didn't like, she would taunt and toy with them before their death, and then mutilate them beyond recognition afterwards. After her 200 years in America, she grew lonely again, for companionship. None of the Vampires in America seemed worthy... they were all, in her opinion, lower class vampires. New-aged vampires knew nothing of the old ways, and were reckless, which reminded her of the Vampire she loathed the most. She returned to England in 1998, looking for a vampiric companion, or perhaps a human to turn into a vampire. She has not seen Demetrius yet.
