OOC: Jade's First post! Anyone can come. Well anyone please come!

The jungle gleamed with an eerie end-of-the-day light as an ebony cobra wound its way around fallen branches and other impediments in its path. It was swiftly drawing near to a murky, churning river when it seemed to grow in size. Smears of blood could now be seen perfectly on its reptilian scales, but nowhere on the creature were there cuts. Slowly and sickeningly the snake rose up and its ugly black, fanned out head burst with ebony hair. The fangs shrank back expertly, replaced by a soft, petite, feminine mouth. The emerald, killer orbs of the creature changed not once as Jade underwent her regular transformation. Now she walked with clean strides, not even having skipped a beat, towards the bubbling water.

She reached the river and stepped into the cleansing water with not a change in expression. Instantly, it became stained with crimson blood from her muscularly deadly arms and hands. Her bow, which had been hanging over her shoulder fell in her way, and she threw it over her back again with little care. She took a deep breath.

Jade felt great.

It was wonderful to let out her emotions on others as she just had. His death had been swift and easy, and she had received some nice clothing in return for her work and a new quiver of arrows. It had been a while since she had last gotten a job; she had nearly forgotten the strange lukewarm feeling of relief she gained each time. It had never crossed her mind how incredibly disgusting she was. All she thought of was the relief she got from doing that. Others weren't allowed to have all that love and care no one ever tried to give her. She would make sure of that. However, she only killed when she was paid to. Otherwise, it was just a waste. She hunted and that was a fine enough outlet for a while.

It never crossed her mind what an addict to killing she was. If she could ever find a different way to fuel her emotions such a tears or music she could overcome that disgusting addiction. These things were not at all compatible with Jade, however. She did not cry. Ohh no, she was hard as rock. She does not make music; it is too weak. She kills. She runs. She climbs. These concrete things were all that existed for her in a world where no one could ever possibly give her love.

She let her pack fall off her other shoulder onto the warm, sandy bank. She then stripped off her clothes and washed herself with ease. She dried and put a fresh outfit on in a quick matter of minutes. She was tired and wanted to reach her home in the jungle as soon as possible, but it looked as though the sun would set in few minutes. She glanced upwards at a rather large tree, deciding she would sleep there for the night. She still had to finish washing her blood stained clothing and would prefer not to come all the way back here tomorrow. She bent down by the bank and scrubbed at the fine cloth, strands of her silky ebony hair falling in the way of her eyes.

She paused momentarily and straightened her back, pulling an ivory fish clip from her pocket. She lifted her head and expertly pulled the now dry hair into a loose, messy bun. She gazed at the canopy of leaves above her head at the life going on around her. The sounds: the chirping, the howling, and the movement of animals was just like the pulsing of life. It was the life, going on around Jade that she refused to live. She had just cut short another's melody of life. She had none and wanted everyone else to feel her pain. Maybe, when she found another human being who understood her pain she could find her real self, the child before the horrible life she had.

An urgent need was pounding inside of him, a demand for bloodshed, a call for the kill. It was instinctual at best and wonderful anytime, and it was his job. Not in the sense of an assassin, no; his occupation required him to bring home as much meat as he could to sell to those who couldn’t hunt for themselves. This seemed the perfect profession for the belligerent young man, whose breath raced with ecstasy when smaller heartbeats ceased. He had a primitive desire to prove his dominance, and so he domineered when in Caracal form. His lithe body would move faster than the flying bird’s, his perforated claws would tear through the fleeing rodent. His teeth would chill the blood of reptilian prey, and if that didn’t work, his pounce certainly would. Overwhelmingly, he was a predator with a love for the chase.

His elite senses were in overdrive, stalking an evasive beast whose overlapping trail had done nothing more than infuriate the easily angered Caracal that now stalked behind a grouping of ferns. Jasper raised his triangular head, opening his mouth to scent the air. There! A woman was close, too close for comfort. Why hadn’t he picked up on her scent? She must have been transformed, he reasoned, or else he could have avoided her. As he turned to bypass the river, another alluring whiff tickled his nose, causing him to stop mid-step. Blood. His own pounded in his oversized ears, his lips curling back into a feral grin. Oh, he liked this girl already. Losing all sense of the trail, he ran silently through the underbrush, a low growl strumming his throat steadily. When at last he came to the river, the woman seemed to be dressing. He paused, the human part of him appreciative, and waited until she had settled before walking smoothly before her, a deep purr rumbling like thunder in his chest. He had already ascertained that she was dangerous, but often treacherous people make the best allies.

Jade sensed the caracal before he had approached. She reasoned he was a shifter, but swiftly dropped the crimson stained clothing, turned and shifted into her ebony cobra form in one rapid movement.
-What do you want?- She thought telepathically then added with a sinister tone, if tones were possible in telepathy,
-If it is a fight you desire, then I will gladly consent to battle you-
She narrowed her eyes as she challenged the large otherwise ominous caracal. Sure it was a large cat, but what normal cobras lacked was the cunning that Jade had.

It was true that she wished to fight. Jade was nearly joyous at the prospect of getting to shed more blood. Her serpentine body raised and her Cobra fan spread menacingly, she would have been a frightening sight to any opponent. One lethal bite and an injection of the toxic venom the snake produced was enough to kill a grown man in a few minutes. Jade knew her power and wasn't afraid to use it. On the contrary it was a delight to use it. Even when she stalked the jungle in her human form, one would think it wise to stay out of her way.

All jungle noises seemed to pause for a moment, breathless and hanging stationary, while the two great killers stood in the moment's silence, ((slight Godmoding..sorry..)) while Jade waited for the other's reply.

OOC: You don't have to accept her suggestion for a fight. It would probably be better if they got to "know" eachother.

With feline grace, Jasper sauntered towards the cobra. His claws slowly pierced the Earth as he unsheathed them, lifting a paw from the ground to inspect the damage he had done. Four indents lay before his paw print, each almost an inch deep. With a self satisfied smirk, he met Jade’s gaze with cold calculation. -You want to play?- he hissed, the growl that had tormented his throat returning. His long tail flicked, just as agile as any snake, his teeth flashing in the dim light. However, he backed off, retracting his claws and closing his bloody maw. His ears lazed upwards and he alighted on his hind leg, wrapping his serpentine train about his haunches like a house-cat. A deadly house-cat. -I don’t want to hurt you,- he began, not in arrogance but in recognition of their powers. Such proficiencies in collision would certainly end in injury. -Let me see you,- he requested, leaning towards her. There was a gleam in his eye, not a malevolent one; it was inquisitive. He pressed his front paws to the ground heavily, to show he would not lash out.

He was sure she would not trust him, but that was what made this game such fun. He let out a rumbling purr and fell back onto his haunches, his mouth open as he scented the air. He was in no way relaxed but it was always beneficial to appear more comfortable than you were around murderers. -You’re deadly,- he commented, offhandedly. -A killer is a beautiful thing.-

Jade's ghastly cobra lips curled up in a devilish smile and she nodded in answer to his reply. -Alright then- She said, narrowing her eyes and seeming almost to hiss. Before she could continue, he did so, requesting to see her. So he's curious... She felt herself thinking, though not to him. She could almost feel her lips curling up again in that evil smirk. She by no means trusted a stranger, but this fellow was in a slight way, intrigueing her. Of course, with a stone cold heart that would not accept any emotions nothing would be possible between the two, only the slight chance of him winning her respect. Respect. Pshaww. Not even the most powerful transformer in the land had won that over her yet.

But Jade had a small feeling that someone like him was one she could at least /stand/ to be around. She hated people who had hearts full of love. Double pshaww! Killers were alright. Yeah. Killers like her were pretty good.
But never good enough. And who would ever want her affections? She hoped that that would never happen, for the one secret reason that she would not be able to return those feelings. It would be absolutely impossible for Jade.

In the mess of her thoughts, still before she had given the other Shifter her answer, she heard him make another comment.
-You’re deadly, A killer is a beautiful thing.-
Jade almost did not know what to say to this at first. She made a simply, sinisterly wise smile, not her regular smirk, but a sly, all-knowing one.
-Yes,- She thought to him, and began to transform as she continued now out loud, -A very beautiful thing.-
She was now in her complete form, "beautiful and terrible as the dawn, treacherous as the sea"...
She turned to the Caracal with her hands resting slightly on her hips,
"Now, shall you show me yourself?" Her tone was rather wicked, but carefully imploring. She was the thorniest rose, soft and rather seductive, but sharp and cold to the touch.

The feline’s eyes narrowed to slits as she grinned, her sharp fangs glinting. He returned the smile, a meaningless gesture on his part, before watching her transform. It was interesting, to say the least, for he had never seen arms and legs grow of their own accord. When he transformed, his appendages just changed for the better, but she actually had to start from nothing. With a sly glance, he noted her striking appearance as a woman. What a delightful creature. She consented a reply with her question, but he gave none. Instead he stepped forwards, purring playfully. He leaned to rub against her legs, his entire body rumbling with his purr. It could have been an innocent motion of amiability, but with Jasper one knew better. He was half man, after all.
-How do I know you wouldn’t harm me if you knew my human form?- he asked, offhandedly, sitting at her feet with careful decisiveness. -You could find out where I live, and you could kill me.- He was indeed a curious creature, but he was a crafty one. -Do you really want to see Jasper, the man?- Without waiting for a response, his body snapped, his bones creaking. Half transformed, he pushed forwards with a laugh, becoming a man in time to find her in his embrace. “I know, I’m an ass,” he said, laughing as he stepped away.

Jade did not answer at first; she only stared at the Caracal with disgust as he brushed along her strong legs. How dare he touch her! As he backed away from her she spat fiercely on the ground that he had touched. Jasper, eh? He'll no better than to pull a move like that next time. It was strange that a small gesture of affections such as that would shake Jade more than if her own arm was sliced off. As bad an effect that that small feline brush had had upon her, she recovered in a moment, ready with her reply.

Her eyes narrowed characteristically to warn him that the move was a bad one.
"You'll never know for certain," she chirped icily, "It all depends on whether you trust this,"- Here she gestured to her sickeningly flawless face- "Or this," She said, now motioning to the bow and arrows and the blood stained clothing left lying on the ground. But before her words had the desired effect, her moved toward her, transforming, and falling upon her in an embrace. Her jade eyes flew open, burning with anger and fear. She instantly threw him off of her, not even bothering herself admiring his handsome features. Before ice cold words could pierce him, she drew her hand back and let it strike squarely on his cheek [hopefully].

With a snake like hiss, she backed away, glaring most evilly, and shot back, ”I’m an assassin, not your wh*re,” She nearly screamed, scooping up her bow and drawing a lithe arrow into it, aiming at the boy. ”You get away from me.” She murmured with that stone cold tone returning, and her looks were so frightening that any character with less backbone than Jasper would have shaken and bolted like a colt. But she had recovered from her fear. It was her biggest and perhaps only weakness, love or any shows of affection of that sort. A death ridden battle field could not shake her in the least, but when a man attempted to donate a hug she was nearly petrified. As long as she kept her distance she was fine. Any other move like that and she would shoot, or retreat to her snake form.

The man laughed again at her disgust, his smile lifeless. At her motioning, he turned his gaze to see her bloodstained clothes. His smile turned into a smirk of contempt; did she really think that blood would scare him? He turned back to make some smart-ass reply, but was instead met with a slap. He snapped his head back, showing his teeth. What a psychopath. The smirk that had been temporarily wiped from his face now slid back over his features until a fearful mask effect was created. "You're not my type," he said coldly, his eyes narrowing to match her own. His temper was boiling beneath his skin, but he'd be damned before she would know.

You get away from me was her reply. Jasper complied, taking a leisurley step backwards. She was obviously wound tight this one, and he didn't want to anger a potential allie. As her arrow was notched, he let his mouth hang open in sarcastic fear. Seriously, she thought she could spook him. His eerie gaze met her own until he reached a hand up slowly and [hopefully] traced the tip of the arrow with his finger. "This is a fine point; did you make it yourself?" he asked of her, softly.

Jade felt herself cooling for the moment, and lowered the arrow. "Yes," she snapped, curtly, and rolled her eyes at this agitating small talk. She took the arrow from the bow and studied its sharpness, running her finger carefully along the fine edge as Jasper had done. "And why do you ask?" She murmured almost sarcastically, raising her eyebrows. She moved swiftly, thrusting the arrow back into her quiver, and throwing the bow back around her arm. She bent and laced her boots in one quick movement, and then stuffed the blood stained clothes into her sac. She then hauled it onto her last remaining shoulder and waited, studying the strange male before her.

For once in the whole interaction she felt a little curiousity, "What do you want with me?" She asked, remaining on guard however. She folded her arms over her chest and cocked her head expectantly, sporting a look as if this was wasting her time. Even she herself wasn't sure if the question was on of her regular demands or that curious naivety. Overhead, through the thick canopy of leaves the sun was beginning to set, and was beginning to cast its last golden, orange rays over the two shifters. She felt the need to not be in the same part of the forest with this stranger at night, though she could easily defend herself, it was a natural instinct.
