Moony slowly sat down next to the enormous tree, his eyes closed, his hands in his pockets, and his legs spread out before him. He laid his head against the tree, and sighed. Feeling the two pictures in his pocket, he sighed again, and relaxed himself, attempting to doze off. Not that he would, anyway. He was too tense, too nervous. He hadn't slept well in the jungle at all, not since his arrival. He probably never would.

Aille walked through the unfamiliar forest, making as little noise as possible. The tree had caught her eye a long way off, and she wanted to investigate, but it had turned out further than she had previously thought. As she reached the great trunk, she started to walk around it, marvelling at it's size. However, about a third of the way around it's base she found her path interrupted by another, dozing lightly, or so she thought.

He was wandering. Directions never mattered much to this man, for he seemed to have a compass lodged in his brain that whispered the way. The forest was slient except for the occasional caw of a jungle bird, or the quiet swish of something prowling among the underbrush. His own feet hardly made a sound as he walked, slowly, carefully, always alert. A knife hung in a bird skin sheath from his belt, slapping gently against his thigh. He was in neutral jungle now, and didn't give a damn. He would actually enjoy meeting a villager at the moment, take out some of his frustration by scaring the pants off them.
A sudden noise of feet treading through the jungle near the man sent him dashing, quick as a snake, behind a tree. His hand clenched the rough hilt of his dagger, and peered around the bole of his hiding spot. Rearing before him, a giant tree stretched its branches to the sky. A girl, the who he had heard, was stopped in front of a boy laying against the tree, apparently taking a snooze. From the uneasy way the girl carried herself, he guessed she was a villager. Plus, he had never seen her near the rogue huts. His black-brown eyes glinted as he smiled. Razk drew his knife as he stepped around the tree, grinning. He wouldn't hurt them, just give them a scare and welcome them to the jungle. |

Moony opened his eyes slowly, glancing at the girl cautiously. His hand flew to his pocket, where his knife laid, while the other flew behind his head, where it stayed, for no apparent reason. He smiled sheepishly, and said, "Hi..." He stretched his legs out, and blinked. No reason for him to get up. No one around to threaten him. At least, the girl didn't look like a threat. And, no threats, no problem. Right?

"Hi." Aille replied in turn, slightly puzzled by his odd behaviour. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you," she added, "I was just having a look around."she waited for a response, wondering if the rustling she could hear was something interesting.By which she meant edible. She listened again, but it seemed to have stopped. Probably just a small lizard scurrying across the floor. She looked back to the figure against the tree. Well, she may as well introduce herself, yes? No reason not to. "I'm Aille, by the way." Her voice was a little strange, the vowels accented whilst the other letters were barely there. Not slurred into non-existance, as she spoke slowly, each word separate, but just lacking pronounciation somewhat.

"Hmmm," Moony nodded, and yawned. He looked at the girl, and shrugged. "Eh, i'm alright. Doesn't matter to me. Just don't hurt yourself..." He yawned again, and closed his eyes, his hand still gripped around his knife, and the other now stretched out, waiting for Aille to shake it. He wasn't a people person, but he was better with girls than boys. For some reason, the males scared him to death, while the girls just made him nervous. Not that they ever didn't, though.

Aille took the offered hand and shook it. Her grip was surprisingly firm, though not to the point of being painful. "I'll try not to!" she grinned at his comment.

Moony nodded, smiling. His hand slipped easily from her grip, and he said, "Good. Then why don't you carry anything to protect yourself? That could... say, help. No one's going to offer you a weapon, or a chance to get one, in a real fight..." He glanced around at her, still looking for a weapon of any kind, and his eyes wandered up to her head, down her chest, and back down to her feet.

Aille pondered his question. True, she didn't carry any immediate form of protection. But then, she couldn't think of anyone who would attack her, off the top of her head. Did people here have a tendancy to attack for no reason? She shrugged slightly. "I've yet to find a reason to carry a weapon, I guess. It's just not something I've ever really considered. If the worst comes to the worst, I can just run away, yes?" Not the greatest attitude in the world, but if bravery was going to get her killed, she wasn't going to waste her time with it.

Moony shrugged. "Yeah, sure, i suppose. But... when has running away ever solved anyone's problems?" He glanced around, at the surrounding trees, at the sky, and at the old tree, for he... was bored. And this girl was providing him with no entertainment, really, so he chose to lay and wait.

"Quite often I would have thought, for some sorts of problem." she replied lightly, grinning. "So what are you doing here?" she asked, in an attempt to keep some form of conversation going, seeing as he looked somewhat uninterested.

Moony sighed. "Anything i can... but obviously not something exciting. If that were the case, i'd probably be flying or something..." He glanced about the girl again, and frowned. This was getting somewhere...

Aille's eyebrows tilted inwards slightly, puzzled. She couldn't make sense of what he had just said. Was he saying that if something exciting was happening he'd be flying in response to it? Or that flying was the exciting something he'd like to happen? "Can you fly?" she asked, hesitantly. It wasn't the greatest question in the world, as intelligent questions went, but nevermind. That wasn't really the point of asking it.

Moony shrugged. "Whaddya mean by that? Can I fly, me fly, myself fly, or can my shifted form fly? If you meant the first question, then I'm sorry to disapoint, but no, I can't. If you meant the second question, then yeah, sure i can. If i wanted to. But i don't. I wanna find my pictures..." He frowned, and glanced at the ground to his left, and then his right, and then stuck his hands in his pockets, feeling for his photos, and his knife. Only two more... he thought.

Aille nodded. She appreciated that her question had not been overly specific. Still, neither had his answer. All it had done was lead to more questions. "Your pictures?" she queried, intrigued.
