Mating Mating can occur at any time of the year, but a female must be in heat to be become pregnant. Breeding Cats are generally not fickle animals and can have up to two litters a year, though one is the average. Depending on the female, she can go into heat at any time of the year, especially if it's an indoor cat, but generally they will go into heat sometime in the late winter/early spring, or anytime within late winter to sometime in summer. Toms can obviously mate at any time of the year. Pregnancy The pregnancy of a queen will last about two months SP time. Birthing We'd prefer no more than 3-4 kittens, if more, we'd prefer that they didn't all make it to adulthood. |
