Ryouga's pawsteps hit the ground. He had just visited the country and his bored gaze betrayed no emotion at that time as he didn't want it to. He didn't pant even though the aspalt was burning as the sun beamed down. Even if his pelt was a dark black, it was still short and thin but the heat still made it a bit hot. Not like he cared Ryouga thought. He had other matters on his mind. He had come here to enjoy some peaceful quiet in the familiar city streets. Sure, he was familiar to the country as he lived nowhere permanently but he came to the city a bit more often. As he started to advance toward The Green Street, his paws came in contact with cool weeds though he didn't really care about the heat, he enjoyed the change of coolness under his feet. A building loomed up and offered shade and Ryouga gladly accepted it. His breathing was silent but it was still a bit audible in the heavy silence that hung as no other dogs had come yet. He was glad of that for the time being. He needed his peace and quiet and he enjoyed it very much when he wanted it.
He had some other matters to think about as he let his mind wander though he hardly did. He was smart though he didn't like showing it or even using his intelligence much. He sighed, adding a bit more humidity to the already humid and burning air. The shade felt good and Ryouga sat down on the cool asphalt of the sidewalk that had been in the shade all day. He was full as he had managed to catch a rabbit in the country. His eyes closed as he thought for awhile and then, after running through his thoughts and reviewing them to himself, he quit thinking and just enjoyed the peace and shade before another dog came and ruined it. His still closed eyes made the impression that he was sleeping though he wasn't and made him look weak and vunerable and his slim body and thinness added in. He wasn't weak or vunerable though. He was strong and skilled and fast.
The hot sun simmered down but it didn't bother Ryouga as he was in the shade. His thoughts kept going back to war. Should he join the country or the city or just stay neutral though it was a tad impossible unless he just hid away while the war raged and Ryouga knew he wouldn't do that. He'd think about some other day as he had already done too much thinking today and he disliked thinking in his own way. He hoped no one would come to interrupt his peace though he wouldn't really care if they did. He just wanted to be alone for a few moments without anyone barging in though. He especially didn't like dogs who just tried to sneak up unnoticed on you when they think you don't know they're there as Ryouga almost always manages to catch them and in the rare occasions that he didn't, he battled them off. His ears were relaxed as was his thin frame as he enjoyed the silence and peace.
He knew some other dogs would surely come soon though he wished that they might somehow be delayed so he could have more time to enjoy peaceful moments. It was easier in the country but he didn't like to stay in the city or country for too long so normally, he stayed in the country for a period of time and then switched and had always kept on doing it on that pattern. He cared for no one but himself as he had never even had to care for anyone else and for that he was grateful as the sun beat down and created heat waves that flowed through the air. He had his eyes still closed and his body was as still as a statue as he blended in a bit with the shadow he was in but not particularily since this shadow was a very light one. His features were blank as a stuffed animal's might be or prehaps a very well made statue's might be or maybe a painting. A tiny breeze full of humid air blew by, scattering the few dried leaves that were there as there were a few scrawny trees in the city.
