RP Information
Season: Summer
Weather: Extremely hot and humid. City dogs will have a much harder time with this than country dogs as the city black top will attract much more heat than the green grass of the country. Long haried dogs are advised not to do much moving and all dogs are advised to stay near a water source as it is easy to die from heat exaustion.

OOC: I'll just do the reactions of the gang since I don't have a gang yet.
There were rings on the outside of the doors with ropes attached and metal pins attached to the other ends of the ropes to push into the ground. Right now, Takri didn't feel like opening the door himself, he wanted to have more time to think but then the door swung open as the gang members pulled it open. Takri trotted into the Rango Barn as the door smoothly opened. He had lived in this barn once, as a pup and he was born just outside. The doors never creaked because he had seen the human oil the doors before and knew where a carton of oil was being kept along with a rag. He usually just grasp the handle of the carton and tipped it a bit to spill some oil on the rag and then, careful not to touch the oily part, picked up the rag with his teeth and rubbed the oil onto the hinges. He had figured how to do it while the humans were still here. There was straw scattered everwhere as there were steps leading to the rafter where a few bales of fresh straw remained. Luckily the farmer hadn't used ladders and had built a staircase instead. There were a few horse blankets and saddles and such. Takri still wondered where his family had went and if he would ever see them again. His half-sister was his favorite, even over his real siblings, he just had a fond liking for the Husky. Oddly enough, she was a purebred even though her father had been a Husky and her mother a German Shepherd. There were about 13 blankets here, all big ones. If the dogs ever ran out of straw, they could always collect more outdoors where the straw had grown wild without the farmer's care. There were rings on the back of the doors as well as the fronts and there were also ropes attached with metal pins tied to the ends. Nodding lightly to all the Gang members, he sat down to announce the information. "Fellow gang members, we are fighting for our beautiful countryside! We have to train and excercise for the coming battle." He paused and smiled at all the gang members. "We'll fight to the death for our beautiful lands!" He smiled again as the gang erupted into cheers and chants such as "Country! Country! Country!"
He wondered how life was going for his half-sister and his other family members, were they faring well? He shook his head clear as he led his gang outside to the clearing next to the Rango Barn and stared making sure they got enough exercise. Some were running and leaping and some were assigned to partners and were battling but not hurting anyone. Then they switched shifts and Takri nodded curtly as he passed them. Then he went to the entrance to think more. Why had Blaze gone to the City? Though he knew it was none of his business, he still wondered and also wondered if he should go after her before the city dogs ripped her apart. Once or twice, he had visited the city but that had been in secret and he had just visited to see what it was like. In those visits, he had pretty much gotten used to the stench and it hardly bothered him anymore though if he ever described the city, he'd still describe the smells as pungent and disgusting though it didn't bother him anymore. The night was falling fast and he'd have to get his gang in soon and train tomorrow as it was soon going to be too dark to see anything clearly. The crickets were beginning to chirp though only a few of them as Takri stared at the setting sun. It was beautiful, a mix of tropical colors and darkish blue and pale purple. He blinked as the day went on and he pondered all the problems he had.

Night was drawing closer, its dark fingers squeezing the last of the color from the sky. The light seeped out of the world even as the sky faded, sending the world into that strange surreal time between day and night, the time of in-between. Nothing is quite right, shadows seem darker, yet transparent as a bee’s wing. A strange hush falls over the land as the day creatures settle in to sleep and the night creatures are just waking up. The whole world is tinged purple and sapped of color at the same time, blanketed in shade but bathed in pale light. A time of blurred contrast, where the only sure thing is that it will pass. In the city, this would have been a stuffy, breathless moment, but here, out in the country, it was enjoyable…. Or it would have been, if Skylir had had to attention to invest in his surroundings. The only thing he got from this was that night was almost here, and that he had to hurry; time was marching on and he didn’t want to be left behind. Darkness would make it harder to find his destination, and all the easier for something to jump out at him from a shadow.
He crossed a field, padding towards the barn that crouched like a black beast in the middle of the next field. The weeds that had claimed the fields parted around him, and, somewhere of to his left, a lone cricket fell silent, but Skylir didn’t notice that either. His mind was fixed on the barn ahead and the wounded dog at his side. He held his impatience in check as they went, aware that a dog couldn’t travel too quickly with a broken leg, and especially not if they’d just been mauled by city dogs. But he was also aware that they left a trail of blood behind them, easily followed in the city dogs couldn’t sniff them out. They were almost there, though, almost to their goal, a place of relative safety. And an annoying goody-goody dog who could have been out-thought by a rock. But the safety was what was important.
And there he was, the valiant knight himself, standing in front of his barn as if guarding if from the angry crickets he was sure would storm it any minute now. Skylir was not happy, seeking help from this mutt, but he didn’t have much of a choice. He was the only dog Sky knew in the country, and Ember wouldn’t be safe limping off to some bushes to heal. He wasn’t sure how Takri was going to react to the site of the two of them limping up to his barn, one covered in her own blood and the other smeared with the first’s. He might think, with his thick head, that Skylir had attacked her… but of course that was stupid, since then Skylir wouldn’t be bringing her here. Unless that too was a trick, which Takri wouldn’t think of since Skylir looked about as intelligent as a brick wall. He braced himself for the questions he knew would come, sooner or later- probably sooner- and how annoying this dog was in general. The only thing that could drag him here right now was Ember bleeding all over the place… he pushed on.
”Hello, Taka,” he said coldly as they came within the other dog’s hearing range, ”Open the door, would you? She’s bleeding all over me.” He didn’t bother being polite; this dog wouldn’t turn Ember away. As much as they had bothered the german shepherd earlier, he wouldn’t leave an injured dog dying on his doorstep. Skylir knew that, and he wasn’t shy about exploiting it. The other dog wouldn’t, and also couldn’t rub in that he had come crawling back asking for help. No; it certainly wasn’t crawling when you marched up, demanded the door opened, and insulted the helper. No, then it was simply your own stupid conscious betraying you into ‘assisting’ the demander. Consciouses were annoying things at times. Dogs like Takri had to learn… you couldn’t always be so rosy. Skylir had no qualms about being their crash course in the ways of the real world. There’s only one thing that can pop your fantasy, he thought at Takri, and that’s reality. Hear it knocking? Better hurry and let it in; it’s bleeding. Perhaps Skylir was just jealous, in a way, of how innocent and good some dogs were. He’d seen too much of the world in his short life to not find their world view ridiculous. And he wasn’t one to let others live in blissful ignorance.

Ember's limps were slow, agonizingly slow. The full blast of pain had not hit her just yet, but the invisible wall holding it off was starting to crack. Her shoulder and head ached with every step. She wanted nothing more than to lie down and wait it all out but she knew that would only result in her death. So, exactly what had happened? She followed Skylir into the city, she knew that much, and was attacked by dogs? The most she knew was that she was in serious condition, that alone let her know she couldn’t stop.
Her dulled senses were coming back to her, her sense of smell and her sight. She could finally see, and though the scent of smog was still detected every time she breathed, she could smell the flowers of the country, Skylir right beside her, and the sickening scent of blood everywhere. She clamped her eyes shut at the thought, but her body never stopped moving, even as her mind raced. It seemed the 2 had been seperated, her body and mind. One was scared and unsure, her mind was panicking and whirling but it seemed it no longer had control. Her body seemed to know exactly what had to be done and was doing it without the instructions of her brain. Going to the destination without the control of her keen mind.
Destination? Where exactly was that? Ember's eyes shot up at the realization that she knew nothing of where she was going. She opened her mouth to ask Skylir when suddenly a scent hit her nose. It was Takir's. Ember's mind screamed to stop and refuse to go on, to growl a warning, to somehow stop her going there but it seemed her body had decided and wasn’t going to be stopped.
As they stopped in front of the barn and Takri, Ember looked up and locked eyes with the dog. Her eyes still had that storm of flame burning in them and screamed that she was anything but weak. They showen with both dislike and desperation, hatred and need. After a few moments her gaze averted to the ground and she waited for Takri to reply.

Takri was jerked out of thought as he saw two figures coming at a pretty slow pace toward the barn, at first, they seemed to be city dogs so Takri's hackles rosed threatingly. Then he noticed one figure was limping and he knew the city dogs weren't that stupid to bring a hurt dog to the country, unless it was a trick but as the figures got closer, he recongnized their faces but stayed put. As Skylir halted in front of him, he was about to speak until Skylir spoke. "Hello Taka," He said. Then he spoke again "Open the door would you? She's bleeding all over me." Takri was alarmed as he looked at Blaze and noticed she was scratched all over. She locked gazes with him and he saw a flame burning in them that said she wasn't weak but he also saw desperation and dislike but also need. Then, after a few moments, she looked at the floor instead of at him though. She was probably ashamed that she had to go to him for help. Takri whipped around and grasped one rope firmly in his mouth and yanked the door open, then he lowered his head and pushed the metal pin down with his paw and did the same with the other door. Trotting inside, he pushed hay into a corner layed a horse blanket on the straw. "Put Blaze here on this blanket."He nodded at the blanket to indicate it. Then he went outdoors once more to tell his gang. "Fellow Gang members, go on with your training, I have some matters I need to take care of." He nodded curtly to all the members, then he turned his head to Skylir."I'm going to get something for her to eat. Try to keep her warm or stop the flow of the blood with something while I'm gone." Takri hesitated in case Skylir had something to say.
He hoped Skylir would reply quickly. He paced back and forth a little and then stopped. Darkness was falling quickly, he hated to involve his gang members but he would soon have to as it'd soon be too dark to decipher anything even with their keen eyesight. He shot a worried glance to Blaze and sat next to the blanket and looked at Skylir. His tail swished about in a frenzy as he waited for Skylir to make the next move. He hoped Blaze would live, the crickets were out now and chirping in their usual rhythm. Then, unable to not move any longer, he stood up again and paced back and forth. He wondered if he should get some water to cleanse the wound or for her to drink. There were a few jars that had contained milk before in the corner of the barn and if the gang needed to use water without wanting to go to the lake, they usually used the jars but right now, the jars were empty. He could also get some grass too to stop stop the flow of the blood. "Should I get some water or grass?" He asked Skylir or Blaze, right now, he didn't really know which he was addressing. He swallowed as he paced back and forth, his brow furrowed with worry over Blaze's health. Why had she gone to the city anyways, she wasn't even used to the sickening smells that dulled your senses if you had never gone there before and wasn't used to it.
He had almost thrown up when he first went there as a pup with the farmer and again when he went there alone to see what it was like after a year but he constantly visited so he could get used to the stench and to just explore secretly. He couldn't stop moving for some odd reason and just kept on pacing. The night was grasping the world and enveloping it in cool breezes and dancing shadows but right then, Takri could care less, he was still pacing and had left the door open for the cool air to come in and he was panting because of the worry he had. Sure he had experience hotter summers and right now, it was as cool as a fall night but he was panting hard and hot. Taking a deep breath he paced back and forth as he waited in case any of them needed his assistance, he would be right there. He'd also have to call his gang in, not like he had a big one, there were only a few members. His fur was clinging to his skin and it was slicked down and his tassle was swishing though it hung low. The air was still a little damp with humidity though not anymore but Takri didn't pay any attention to the weather as he normally would. He was too sick over worry. He felt a little like it was his fault for not going after her. He wondered why she had gone, knowing the city dogs would rip her apart. He would ask questions later, right now, she was too weak and hurt.

The red Border collie waited as the door was unlocked and she and Skylir were let in. Ember glanced around at her surroundings, though only briefly. At the gesture, Ember limped over to and sat on the hay. Her auds lay flat against her head and her amber eyes were closed. "Ember" she said quietly flatly "My name is Ember" Skylir's little trick mattered nothing to her right now, she was in pain, the wall had given way and pain flooded her body.
As the pain flooded over her, it took all her power not scream in the agony that she felt. Blood still trickled down the side o her face form her opened skull. Her stomach and broken hind leg tainted the straw in which she sat on red and her shoulder she knew to be cracked and pouring blood.
Opening her amber eyes she began to breathe bit heavier, though only out of exhaustion "Yeah, I want some water" the disgusting feeling of smog in her throat was there, and she wanted desperately to clear it. Pricking her ears at the mention of cleaning her wounds she growled "No one touches me" she snapped. She started at Takri again with defiance in her eyes.

Takri opened the doors, and Skylir led the way for Ember inside. He was silent; he didn’t need to talk. Takri seemed too flighty to listen to anything he had to say, anyway; the pack leader immediately went outside to give some sort of speech to his gang. Skylir could hear the words, even inside the barn. Training? He was training his gang only now, when the war was so close? Training got you only so far; after that it was natural skill and instinct. Training was nothing like real battle; you weren’t fighting for your life, scared out of you mind, looking death in the face. Training would do these dogs no good, and Skylir doubted Takri had anything to teach them, anyway. In fact, he doubted Takri had fought more then once or twice in his life… if he had, his outlook on life wouldn’t be the same. You couldn’t see dogs in the heat of battle and still think you could make the world a better place. You didn’t look at the world the same way after seeing it dissolving in blood.
Skylir settle down beside Ember, looking at her closely for the first time. Yes, the back leg was definitely broken… he’d need to set it. He found the gashes that had were bleeding. They'd stop soon, he knew, now that she had stopped moving. Wounds did that naturally, as blood clots formed. None of the injuries were life-threatening, though she’d lost a lot of blood and there was always the possibility of infection. He turned his attention back to the break just as Takri returned… and gave Skylir orders. They were the wrong ones, too, so Skylir ignored them, going back to his examination. It was a fairly clean break, a simple snap where Blu’s jaws had bitten the leg. It was going to hurt when he set it, though… he knew that from his own experience. And he wasn’t going to do it which Takri around… the dog’s pacing was getting on his nerves. This was the leader who was going to lead the country dogs to victory? He was practically hysterical, and he hardly knew Ember! "Yes, water would be good, but you can send one of your flunkys for it,” Takri told him, ”I need… a berry found in the forest. It prevents infection. It’s about the size of a blackberry, red, and it grows near the center of the wood, in the thickest part. Bring me a mouthful of those. Don’t send one of your gang; I don’t trust them not to be idiots and either not find them or get lost.” He waited for Takri to leave, putting his head close to Ember’s. She had to let him clean her wounds; was she crazy? Did she have a fever already?
”Listen, Ember,” he told her quietly, ”You have to let me clean the wounds. Otherwise they’ll get infected, and you’ve lost too much blood to fight an infection. At least let me set the bone. It might hurt, but you can’t move. If I don’t set it, it’ll heal wrong and you’ll be lame.” Perhaps she'd only not wanted Takri to clean her cuts, or wanted to do them herself; you couldn't set your own leg, though. She had to let someone touch her... otherwise, Skylir might have to do it by force. He was not going to let a dog kill herself by refusing help. That leg was bad. A human could have splinted the leg in place, but dogs couldn’t. It was hard enough setting the bone… the patent just had to be trusted not to move. And if she got a fever… it was hard not to move when you got a fever. If the leg healed cleanly, though, she probably wouldn’t even have a limp. The gashes were a different matter… she’d have scars no matter what. With her long fur, though, they probably wouldn’t show. Takri was no good… why had they come here for help? Safetly in numbers, of course… they’d just have to put up with ‘Taka’. Hopefully he’d go for the berries, though; that would help hugely.

Takri knew he was overeacting a little too much but he forced himself to calm down. Ember....So Blaze wasn't her name after all, he didn't care about Skylir's trick, not now, not ever. Then Ember said she wanted water and she didn't want anyone touching her and then Skylir also said that water was good and told him about some type of berries. Going outside, he explained what had happened but made sure to put in that he wanted no one to interfere except if he sent someone for something. Then he went back inside and picked up a jar with his teeth and took it outside and directed one of his members to go fill it with water and leave it at the door of the barn. He wondered why he was so hysterical. Usually he never got hysterical when strangers or even dogs he knew very well were hurt bad. Normally, he was the only one that was really calm at the time. Maybe it was because he felt to blame since he didn't go after her, or maybe...........he liked her. It would never work out, he knew, since she disliked him so much. He heaved a sigh as he wished she would let someone get close to her. He raced along as his long legs moved in a rhythmic tempo. He knew about the berries already of course and had seen them many times before on his walks through the woods. He knew about the pack there but he could never find the leader to ask him if he could walk in his woods. Maybe if Sakony were here..........Almost everyone she met liked her. She was smart, kind gentle but fierce when it came to battle and very protective and she helped any who came to her that were hurt. Though she was always cautious to watch them while they were healing in case they tried to attack. Ember would probably let Sakony get close. Yes, Kony was a very likable dog. A lot of males tried to chase after her but when they got too close, she usually just had to snarl at them and they backed away but then after awhile, they chased after her again. The breeze ruffled Takri's fur as he ran across the fields toward the dark silouette of The Grace. Skylir must only know the bush of berries that grew in the center of the forest but Takri knew the forest like the back of his paw, almost as well as the gang that resided there. He hoped ran smoothly along toward the forest as he knew what his mission was, he would quickly run to the closest area of the forest that he could get the berries from and take two or three clusters, however many he could hold and run back to the barn. He would fight anyone that dared touch Ember or Skylir if they tracked them to the barn. He would get his revenge on the dog or dogs that did this to Ember and he would ask her as soon as she got better. He wasn't angry though, he was on the verge of being angry. He was still calm and good-natured though he vowed he would do equal damage to the dog or dogs that ripped her up. ~~~~~~Takri has left~~~~~~ OOC: But I won't be gone for long!!! .\ _ /.

Ember sighed inwardly and closed her eyes. She felt Skylir settle in beside her and listened to Takri jumble around. "Yes, water would be good, but you can send one of your flunkys for it. I need… a berry found in the forest. It prevents infection. It’s about the size of a blackberry, red, and it grows near the center of the wood, in the thickest part. Bring me a mouthful of those. Don’t send one of your gang; I don’t trust them not to be idiots and either not find them or get lost.” A berry? Ember didn’t question it, it wasn’t that important anyway.
As she heard Takri left, her eyes opened again. ”Listen, Ember, You have to let me clean the wounds. Otherwise they’ll get infected, and you’ve lost too much blood to fight an infection. At least let me set the bone. It might hurt, but you can’t move. If I don’t set it, it’ll heal wrong and you’ll be lame." She raised her head to look at him "Let me correct myself, no one named or with Takri can touch me." she murmured. "As for setting the bone" she winced at the though and lay her head back down "Do it quickly." she grit her teeth as she waited for him to pop it in place.

Nighthawk was gone… good. Hopefully racing about in the woods would keep him away for a while so that Skylir could actually get something done. He didn’t want Takri to do something stupid, like try to help or throw up all over him. Dogs who thought they were smart could do more damage then those who thought they were stupid. Well, at least Ember was going to let him help her. He moved over to the leg, prodding it with his nose a few times before he found the break. He glanced over at Ember’s head, then back at the leg. He braced the leg with his paws, pushing the broken part of the bone back in line. He’d done this before, and did it now as quickly as he could. When he was sure the bone was aligned with the rest of it, he backed away and came back up to Ember’s head. ”Are you alright?” he asked her, then, without waiting for a response, he began cleaning the gash on her head. It hadn’t stopped bleeding yet, but he wasn’t worried; head injuries bled more then others. It looked to him as if the others had already stopped.
He considered asking if Ember would mind if he left when she had been treated. He felt that every minute he stayed here the trap of responsibility was closer to being sprung. Yes, leaving Ember in this state would make him feel guilty… but it wasn’t his fault she was hurt. In fact, she’d probably be dead if it wasn’t for him. And if she hadn’t followed him, he would have been gone by now, and probably never thought about her again. He shifted uneasily, even as his rough tongue moved over the gash on her head. The area around that cut was almost clean; he moved on to her shoulder. No, if he asked her, she’d try and stop him. He’d only feel more guilty… but the city was calling him back. He didn’t trust Blu, and she’d be looking for Ember. Takri could probably keep Ember safe… but not if Blu found out where she was. He had to go do something; problem was, he wasn’t sure what. Make it up as I go along, he though, just like I always have. He sighed and stopped cleaning the gash.
”Ember, do you mind if I go get Takri? I made up the berries, so he’s probably gotten lost already. Do you want me to finish cleaning these first, though?” With the leg set and the head wound cleaned, Ember wasn’t in such bad condition. She could probably clean her own shoulder and stomach, even without moving her leg. Skylir didn’t actually care where Takri had wandered off to, but he needed to make sure the other dog could look after Ember. He’d hope that Takri wasn’t nearly as stupid as he acted, and hope he could act sensibly while Skylir was gone. The city called… Blu was out there somewhere, plotting to invade the country. As much as he disliked it, Skylir was no longer free to choose no side. He had to do something.

Ember braced herself for the pain she knew was to come. Clenching her teeth as Skylir found the bone, the moment he popped it into place she wanted to scream, but refrained. Releasing her death grip on her own teeth, she merely nodded when Skylir asked if she was ok. He was in what seemed like a rush as he moved to clean her head.
The rough tongue on the open wound made her wince a little at first but as Skylir went on, it began to numb. Her auds lay flat and her gaze still rested on the floor. She had done more than bring harm to her own self; she had basically put Skylir on a hit list with Blu, making it clear he couldn’t live in the city again. She had also forced him to come here and deal with Takri, that alone, she knew, was hard on Sky.
”Ember, do you mind if I go get Takri? I made up the berries, so he’s probably gotten lost already. Do you want me to finish cleaning these first, though?” Ember resisted the urge to laugh at the fact that Skylir had made the berries up, but she knew better. Raising her head she merely nodded "No, go ahead, ill be fine. Thanks Skylir." she would indeed miss his company for a while, but he had other matters besides her. Hadn’t he done enough already?

So she wouldn’t mind if he left to get Takri… he hadn’t made up his mind yet if he’d come back after that. It seemed unlikely, though. He had been thinking about their predicament while cleaning the gashes. Blu had seemed, to Sky, the kind of dog to want revenge. She wouldn’t just let Ember and he get away after beating her; she’d come after them. Probably with the entire city dog population at her back. Takri’s gang was very small, and he seemed like a horrible leader. It wasn’t safe for both of them to stay here. A plan was starting to form in Skylir’s mind. He wasn’t going to stay cowering here behind Takri. As much as he valued his skin, he wasn’t going to go to those lengths to keep it intact. He’d go back the way he and Ember had come, burying the blood as he went. Then he’d make it seem like they’d gone to the lake instead. If Ember had died of her wounds, and done it near the lake, Skylir would have rolled her body into the water. So the city dogs would think she was dead… and then he’d head back to the city. Ember would be safe, and it would be only he who was being hunted. It was a bad plan, he knew, but it was the best he could think of. Perhaps when he got to the city he’d have a better idea.
”Okay, Ember. Don’t move, though… the leg won’t be better for at least a month. Don’t let anyone, especially Takri, do anything to those wounds… I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t know what to do with an injury even after being told several times. Don’t let him put grass on it. That’ll make it itchy, and you don’t want that.” He stood quickly, before she could wonder why he was telling her all this now. He turned and trotted out of the barn, ignoring the dogs outside. He didn’t really want to know what Ember was going to think of his abandonment; that was one of the reasons he wanted to leave, though he wasn’t going to admit it. You didn’t make friends… they always hurt you, one way or another. You had to look out for friends, so they netted you with the responsibility card too. And they were a weakness.. your enemies knew you cared about someone, they could use that person against you. Cut off, cold… that was the safest way to be.
The night was cooling the world, and without the hot sun even the humidity was bearable. A night breeze had picked up, sweeping up from the lake, across the fields to ruffle through Skylir’s fur. It was refreshing, it gave him energy. He broke into a run, bounding into the nearest field, flattening the tall weeds as he passed. The world was cast in shades of dark blue, shapes flat and untextured. The only light came from the cold points of stars above and the crescent moon that hung like a lopsided grin in the sky. In their pale light edges were softened, the world rounded. Skylir ignored the beauty of a country night, though; he’d seen them before. He knew it was all a cover; that dark blue shadow could hide a dog ready to leap out, that pale light made it easy for enemies to conceal themselves and his pale fur almost glow. No matter how well it dressed up, Skylir knew what the world really was; the pretty mask didn’t hide the hard truth from him. He headed towards the forest, following Takri’s scent. He’d find the dog, maybe tell him what was going on, and how to take care of Ember. Then… to the city.

Sakony loped along the dusty road. Her pads were tired and she was exhausted. It was midday and she decided to take a break. She padded into the grass from the dusty roadside and plopped down. Her pads felt better now that her weight was taken off of them. She was determined to get to Rango Barn but for now, she needed her beauty sleep. Falling into a dreamless slumber, the day went on and it soon darkened to night. When Sakony woke up, it was dark and it hit her she had been sleeping all day. She stood up and stretched. Then she trotted to the roadside once more and started running. Her slim form sliced through the air as she dashed forward, sure that she would reach the barn soon enough. Dust flew from behind her as she raced along the dusty, dirt path. She ran for a few miles before slowing down to a gentle lope to catch her breath, he tongue was lolling out and she was panting. She saw the thin silouette of the barn........or was she hallucinating? She would soon find out. She walked for a bit and then started running once more. The earth flew from behind her as she kicked up dust. After awhile, the faint silouette became bolder.
She had did it!! She finally was going to reach her destination! Knowing that gave her a burst of energy and she ran faster as her tongue hung out and she ran along the dirt path, then she veered into the fields and dashed along. She panted hard as she raced through the fields and then past the house. Veering right, she slowed down and looked at the barn while her tongue still hanging out. Panting she took deep gulps of the cool night air to calm down a bit. Then she took a rope and yanked hard. She was shocked when she saw a few other dogs in the barn and a hurt one laying on a blanket. "What are you doing here!?" She asked the other dogs, her hackles raised. "That's what we want to ask you!" A dog from the group said. They all glared at her with their fur bristling. "I came back expecting to find my half-brother Takri here but instead, I found you dogs!"She said with narrowed eyes. There were murmers and the same dog replied "Takri is our gang leader, the dogs seperated into gangs when the humans left and our gang's run back Takri, we are deeply sorry we yelled at you."For a moment, Sakony just stared, shocked by the news. "Oh......"Then she said to his other reply "No, no, It's okay, you don't have to apologize, I'm the one that should be apologizing since I just burst in here and all........... My name's Sakony but you may call me Kony"
Then she asked them "What are you doing just standing around when a dog's hurt?"She looked questioningly at them and then laid down near the other dog."What's your name? Are you okay?"She asked gently as she locked her soft crystal eyes to the other dogs. The wounds looked terrible though she was glad that someone had set the bone in place so it would heal right. Takri wasn't very good at helping hurt dogs and Sakony was much better. She knew how to help with wounds like scratches and broken bones and a lot more. "Ummm........Miss?" A voice interrupted her and she looked up. A dog was looking at her nervously. "Takri gave orders not to mess with her." How predictable of Takri to do so. "Well you can tell Takri that I did and see if he wants to do anything about it!" She declared and smiled at the other dog brightly. Then she looked back down at the hurt dog. She had a really bad slash on her head and a few more on her body and a broken leg. Sakony wondered where Takri was but shook the thought away. If his gang was here, he was bound to come back soon.

Ember felt like she was backed in a corner, the dogs that were told to leave her be had come in because night had set in. She couldnt say too much, considering this was there place, though she made it clear to give her space. Her body was battered and she extremely tired. She refused to sleep without Skylir, or, dare she say it, Takri here. But she was dozing, she couldnt fight it, in moments she'd be in a deep sleep.
Suddenly another dog burst through the door and Ember's head shot up. While her eyes focused, she sniffed the air madly. It was neither of them. Her heart sank and her auds followed it. After the newcome female and the gang exchanged words, Sakoney took up an interest in her. As there eyes locked, Embers narrowed. She growled in a low voice. As she spoke to her, Ember lips curled back to reveal fangs "Dont you touch me. my name? You dont need to know it. Am i hurt? what the hell do you think?"
Indeed, Ember was harsh, but she was in a lot of pain but with so many dogs around her. Can she be blamed?

Sakony raised an eyebrow if dogs could do that and then said "Okay, Okay, I won't touch you, I wasn't planning to anyways until you said I could, I mean really, who goes around touching strangers when they don't give you permission?" She smiled again at Ember. "It's okay if you don't want to give me your name if you don't want to since you hardly know me and don't know if you can trust me yet and I can see you're hurt pretty badly." She smiled again and looked around the barn. Everything was pretty much as it had been only there were other dogs here. Takri, Takri, Takri, where have you gone? Sakony murmered under her breath as she sighed while faintly smiling and rolled her eyes. She wondered if the other fae was either hungry or thirsty, there was a jar of water near the door and she padded over and picked it up and brought it back. "Want any water?"She asked and then paused, thinking for a split second before saying "Or I can catch you a rabbit if you're hungry,"
Then she looked at the other dogs and told them "Like Takri said, don't touch her if she agrees to let me get something for her to eat. Takri said you guys couldn't go near her but he never said that about me and even if he did, let's see HIM do something about it, I assure you he won't do anything to me." No, Takri wouldn't do anything, he would be too overcome with happiness at her arrival. Then directing her eyes back at the hurt dog and waited for her answer. She hoped the dog might agree, then she could maybe spot Takri on her journey to get a rabbit or a vole or something. Smiling again at the hurt female she sniffed the air slightly and drew in drought of cool, crispy air. The crickets chirped loudly and she could hear the sound of grass swishing back and forth. Her tassle thumped softly as she lay with her head up and her auds alert. Her body was relaxed and laid-back though and she shifted a little. Takri was probably already coming back she assured herself and decided that if the hurt dog would allow her to get her a rabbit, she would catch one, then follow Takri's scent.
Since all the other dogs seemed to have already joined gangs, she would too, but not Takri's gang since it might cause a commotion since the other dogs in his gang might think that he favored her more than them. She would join the gang in the woods. She had heard another dog who had come from this town on her journey back talk something about a gang in the woods but she had ignored it. She would join that gang but occasionally come to visit Takri every so often as he WAS her half-brother that she had come back miles for. If the gang leader whose gang she was going to join didn't know Takri yet, she would make sure to introduce him to Takri. Yawning slightly, she looked back down at the hurt dog and waited for her reply.

"No, just leave me alone. Follow your Brothers orders and don’t even get remotely close to me. I am in no mood to deal with any damned creature with a heart beat. I may be in no condition but I will rip your damned throat out and send you into hell with a moments hesitation. Do not tempt me mutt." she snarled her fangs glowed in the pale light of the moon illuminating from the cracked door. Her eyes shown with pure defiance and hate and her muscles were tense with readiness. All these things suggested a killer. A dog willing to fight anything for any reason, someone who trusted none and hated all but Ember was far from that.
She kept out the deafening sound of her vicious snarl to mask the rapid beating of her own heart. She was terrified, completely and utterly scared to the point of killing the first thing that made a small move. She had learned to mask it with aggression and she did it well. Even her eyes didn’t give away her true emotion.
Why the hell did he leave? Why didn’t he stay here? She knew very well why, but she wouldn’t admit it to herself. She refused to think in such a way, for it meant admitting that she had caused so much damage. He isn’t coming back. Hes gone, he won’t return so why wait? Her heart lurched and she found she couldn’t take it.
Getting shakily to her feet, she stood. The wound on her stomach had stopped bleeding as well as the one on her shoulder. She applied no pressure to her broken foot and even so pain seared through her body.
With all the blood cleaned away, she wasn’t in such a bad condition. Her eyes glared at the dogs before her and she wished dearly that she could take off through the door. But she'd never make, not with these wounds and with a ragged breath, she sat down. Her body begged her to sleep but she refused. Again, her eyes met Sakony's "So, why hasn’t you dear brother returned?"
