A Sleeping Beauty.....

[Kari]

Kari yawned as she looked around the house. A bit errie, but it was still good with her. She had eaten a rabbit on her way here. The moonlight shone through the dusty old windows. Kari jumped on to an old dusty couch and curled up. She set her tail over her maw and shut her eyes. For some reason, despite how tired she was she couldn't fall asleep. She raised her head and looked around. No one was around. Well, as far as she could tell anyway. She jumped down from the couch. Why did she feel like she was being watched? A figure ran out in front of her and without thinking Kari shot at it and threw it into a wall. The moonlight shone on it and it was only a cat. Well, a now dead cat that is.

She jumped back on the couch. She curled back up and sighed. She still felt like she was being watched. But she kept telling herself it was just some stupid cat. And frankly, she was to tired to care. If someone decided to wake her up Kari would not be happy, well, unhappier than usual anyway. She slowly began to drift to sleep. She began to dream she was a small pup again and she was playing chase with the other puppies in the pet store. She lay, curled up on the couch, moonlight shining down on her. A regular sleeping beauty....

[Blu]

The scent led straight into the house. Country dogs were outside in the barn, she could easily smell them but it dumbfounded her as to why Kari came here. It was dangerous for a dog who wore the scent of the City. Blu couldn’t really judge though, she had come too though only in pursuit of Kari.

After a little confusion as to getting in and sorting through smells to find her, Blu came upon Kari sleeping on a couch. Blu had never been in a house before; it was a strange place indeed. "Kari" Blu barked rather loudly. She wouldn’t touch her for, personally, to be touched while she was sleeping would end your life pretty quick and Blu knew she wasn’t the only one who woke badly.

"Kari, Wake up, I need to talk to you" she barked again, even louder. The scent of more dogs reached her nose, one stringer than the others but they had been gone for at least 8 hours. Blu wasn’t really worried anyway, she could deal with any dog and besides, she had a bit of back up.

[Kari]

Kari raised her head, startled, and looked sleepily at Blu. "Hmmm? Blu? What are you doing here?" Kari asked jumping down. A city dog in the country? Well, Kari herself wore the scent of the city and was making quite a move by coming here. But what was so important that Blu had to come to Kari? She yawned, how long had she been asleep? Not very long, she knew that much. Well at least she got about five mintues, that was better than none. "Blu why did you follow me here?" Kari asked. What did Blu want to talk to Kari about? She smiled as it was easy to see Blu had never been in a house before.

Kari herself was used to it. Having lived in one until she was about a yearling, it had lost it's charm long ago. She watched as a rat scurried across her path and under the couch. Little vermin, she hated them almost as much as birds. She sat down and waited for Blu to reply. She still didn't get why Blu followed her. And when she lived in the city? Not a smart move, but hell, Kari herself had made a risky move too. And if the country dogs decided to drop in and attack kari could manage, and she had back up so she wasn't worried.

[Blu]

Blu smiled her eerie calm smile as Kari awoke "Heh, most dogs aren’t so calm at seeing me when they awake, then again, most of those dogs did exactly wake up" she barked teasingly "But, that was not my intention this time." she murmured. "Kari, I am in need of your cooperation. There is a dog." Blu paused "He caused my torn appearance" she finished. Of course she meant her muzzle which had completely scabbed over now.

"He's in the city, right now. I need you to meet him, lure him, hell, even fight him if you like. He poses a threat, to me and the rest of the city. The moment you attack, your boyfriend and I will follow. Its time to live up to your boasts princess." she mentioned Night, not by name but as Kari Boyfriend. Indeed, the 2 had something going on, Blu could feel it. But, she wouldn’t press them too much. "So, what do ya say?"

[Nighthawk]

Nightwing followed his leader reluctently and he found out that Blu had nothing bad planned for Kari, but a negotiation to be made and he was ready to follow her into anything Blu was planning to get into. He found Kari and Blu had just awakened her, teasing in the way the Blu did he smiled rudely, rather his regular smile. When Blu talked about her fight wiht the lone dog and Ember his fur rose in anger and frustration as he thought of them getting away with the fight that they had in the dark alleyway. When Blu reffered to him as Kari's boyfriend he sighed and stepped forward,"Please Blu, I have a name, just because we talked in a way that may seem a bit personal doesn't mean that we are mates, please refer to me by my real name, Nighwing," he put in rather calmly, he did not mean to correct Blu but to put a point.

[Kari]

Kari listened to Blu. "Boyfriend?" Kari asked. She looked at Nightwing who had just arrived. "Ok, I'll join in. But on one condition." She said. "Never ever call Nightwing my boyfriend again. Ok?" She said. She yawned a bit. "I'll do my work, just lead me to the dog and I'll take care of him." She said. Ok one dog, aginst three, and knowing herself to be a fighter and a killer, and Blu and Nightwing on her side, the dog was as good as dead. She glanced at Nightwing, now he knew how she felt when Blu called her Princess. But Nightwing? Her boyfriend? Please! She didn't like him like that! Or did she? After all she had never really been in love... She shook herself and set her eyes back on Blu.

"Well what are we waiting for? The sky to fall? Let's go get this dog so I might be able to get some sleep!" She said grinning evilly. This was going to be fun, really fun. She walked towards the door and waited for Blu and Nightwing.They would have to sneak past the country dogs. Then Kari would have to cover her scent when it came time to meet the dog. She didn't want the dog knowing she had been around Blu and Nightwing. That would ruin the fun. She liekd to taunt her prey before going in for the kill. "Well you two? You coming? Or do i have to go on a wild goose chase?" She asked.

[Blu]

Blu chuckled at the reaction she got from the both at her comment. Indeed, to mess with peoples minds was of the utmost amusement. She didn’t reply to either but locked eyes with Kari and gave an "Oh really?" grin.

"Happy to have you with us." she barked quietly. As Kari hurried them along, Blu's ears flattened. She disliked being ordered and would not tolerate it. No one, not a damned dog she had ever met, commanded her. With a side glance at Night that told him of her thoughts. She bunched her muscles and seemed to lunge at Kari. Her paws landed just behind her and with ease, Blu cleared Kari to land just in front of her.

Blu turned to grin eerily at Kari before leading the way out of the house and onto the Green Street.

She wasn't startled when Blu lept at her. She smiled to herself and looked at Nightwing. She gave him a small nod and followed Blu. Nightwing her boyfriend? Was Blu nuts? Kari walked quietly after Blu. She was careful not to make a sound when passing the barn. Crickets chirped around her as Kari moved along. She began to smile at the thought of the dog. It was going to be very fun killing the dog. Her mind strayed back Blu calling Nightwing her boyfriend. I think she was hit by one to many cars. Kari thought to herself.

She broke into a run when she was about three yards away from the farm. She followed Blu's scent, she loved the night. The cool night air hit her nose and increased her desire for blood. She moved quickly and quietly, following Blu's scent. The black figure moved along, only being see when the moon shone down upon her. Hopefully, after this she would get respect. She wasn't just doing this to have fun, but to show Blu she was not a dog to be messed with. Plus, she had to please her hunger for blood. She moved towards Green Street following Blu's scent.
