Dropping Something Off

[Sailor Eunomia]

A young woman with long lavender hair and light blue eyes quietly walked through the streets of Tokyo, staring at the floor with her hands plunged in to her coat pockets. It was quite cold out, but it didn't seem to bother her. She stopped as she came to the gate of the Tsukino house. She stared at it, as if afraid to go any nearer.

She's gonna kill me...

She clutched a little box in her pocket, and took a deep breath, walking forwards again. She came to the door, looking around for any signs of life. She spotted the letter box and leaned down to it. The woman got out the box, inside it was a locket, but she thought that would look odd to passers by to carry it around without a care in the world and concealed it. She tried to fit it in the slot, but it was too wide.

Oh, crap.

She tentatively rang the doorbell, incredibly nervous. She didn't mind anyone coming to the door, as long as it was the one person she really didn't want to have to encounter.

Please don't be in, please don't be in.

[Sailor Mars]

"Ne?" Chibiusa got up from her bowl of pudding and curiously looked at the door. I don't think we're expecting somebody... she thought, hesitantly striding over to the door. Chibiusa placed her hand on the doorknob, but then paused, the voice of reason speaking to her. Is this really safe? Opening the door to a potential stranger? But she shook her head to herself, saying everything would be find. The door opened just wide enough so that Chibiusa's head could be seen, but not much beyond her.

"Yes? May I help you?" Chibiusa asked politely, looking over the woman with the long, light purple hair.

[Sailor Eunomia]

Inwardly, Kasumi breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at Chibiusa. Regain her thoughts and composure, she took the little box out of her pocket.

"I have a delivery for Tsukino Usagi?" she said warmly, handing over the box. "Could you see that she gets it please?"

She bowed in thanks at the girl, more than glad to get rid of that damn locket. It had seemed to haunt her ever since Eris snatched it, and she really couldn't deal with it. She gave a slight wave.

"Thank you very much."

She bowed again and headed back down the garden path. She couldn't let Eris do it, it wasn't right. There had to be other ways. She just wished there was some way of restoring all of the Senshi's memories, but she had yet to find any.

[Sailor Mars]

"Hey!" Chibiusa called after Kasumi's retreating back. She paused to look at the little box in her hands; what was inside? "Who should I tell her it's from?" Chibiusa got a little panicky. Was this really wise to take a package which she didn't know contained, from somebody she didn't know, to Usagi?

[Sailor Eunomia]

Kasumi stopped and turned to her with a small smile. "She'll know. Just tell her 'Umi-chan couldn't let her do it'. Take care now." She gave the girl a little wave and headed on her way again.

[Sailor Mars]

Chibiusa opened her mouth to say something, but didn't know what. All it seemed she could do was watch Kasumi walk off as if it was completely normal for an anonymous stranger to drop off a package. Hesitantly, and after a long pause, Chibiusa closed the front door though her mind was still racing with questions. Who was that mysterious girl? What did her cryptic message mean? More importantly, what was in the package?

For the next half an hour that seemed like an eternity, Chibiusa tried to forget about the package. It didn't explode, it didn't move, it just sat on the table like a package should, completely normal...unlike the situation in which the smaller girl attained it. In fact, Chibiusa was almost relieved and jumped up from her seat on the floor when the door rattled, signifying that someone was entering.

[Moon/Uranus/Neptune]

Usagi walked in the door and slipped off her shoes. "Tadaima!" she greeted like any other day.

[Sailor Mars]

Finally!

Forgetting even to say 'welcome home', Chibiusa raced to Usagi's side. "Were you expecting any packages...?" she asked quickly, retreiving the smallish box. "Somebody dropped this off. She said, 'Umi-chan couldn't let her do it'." Chibiusas looked up at Usagi questioningly. "Do you have any idea what she was talking about?"

[Moon/Uranus/Neptune]

Usagi took the package. It was the same as...

'Could it be...?'

The blonded shook her head as she stared at the palm-sized package. "I don't know who it is..." she mumbled dumbly. "Uh, thanks for picking it up, Chibi-Usa." She ran up to her room to open it up.

[Sailor Mars]

Surprised, Chibiusa poked her head in the hallway leading to the bedrooms. "Ne!" she said curiously. "What is it, anyways?"

[Sailor Eunomia]

Another odango'd girl peered out in to the hall after following people she heard go upstairs. Chibi Chibi had just come in from the park, and kicked off her shoes when Usagi and Chibiusa hurried upstairs. She stood out in the hallway, leaning against the wall and sucking her thumb.

"What is it?" she said softly, she'd picked it up from Chibiusa.

She basically just wanted the company, she wasn't all that bothered about what it was or who had dropped it off, so she just stood there, almost invisible because she was so quiet.

[Moon/Uranus/Neptune]

Usagi rushed into her room and shut the door. She knew Chibi-Usa would be furious with her if it was what she thought it was. "None of your business!" she called from inside the barricaded room.

Finally alone, Usagi sat down on her bed and furiously clawed at the package. And inside she found her brooch, the Ginzuishou still snugly in its place, as if nothing had happened.

'Umi-chan couldn't let her do it...?'

What did all this mean?

"Fine!" Chibiusa answered. Though she didn't like Usagi not giving her answers, at least they were both in the dark about the mysterious girl. Chibiusa looked down and saw ChibiChibi. "ChibiChibi-chan? See anybody today?" she asked, knowing the girl had probably gone on another of her crazy town trips that she never got hurt on. Sometimes, Chibiusa thought, it was nicer to talk to somebody who never really answered.
