Under Attack?

[Seiya Kou]

Dark Kuiper felt a bit of pain, but then moved away from the direction of the attack. "That all you got?! Hellfire Blast!" She sent black fire flying at the soldier.

[Susan Foreman]

Fire wasn't good. Fire was never good. Gallifrey raised her arms in front of her face to protect herself.

'If I can use my arms later, it'll be a bloody miracle!' she thought, getting more and more annoyed by the second. 'This body's wearing thin before its time!'

"Omega Wave!" she yelled, feeling her legs start to give out beneath her. This was taking up energy she just didn't have.

[Seiya Kou]

"Yes, use up your energy. Go on, I'll just kill you in the end! DEMI!"

[Susan Foreman]

"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" Gallifrey asked. "Sick... Omega Blast!"

By this point, she was on the floor. She could feel the regenerative energies begin to stir within her, as they realised how close she was to dying.

[Seiya Kou]

Dark Kuiper moved away from the attack and the weapon the Rani had given her appeared on her arm. "Say goodbye to life." she said as she shot it at Gallifrey.

[Sailor Mars]

Seemingly from out of nowhere, a blaze of fire collided with Dark Kuiper's attack. "No one's dying today. Watashi wa honoo no senshi. Kono Sailor Mars ga kaseini kawatte, sekkan yo!" Sure enough, it was Sailor Mars on the scene to save Gallifrey's day, famous red heels and all.

[Susan Foreman]

"You took your time getting here, but thanks," Gallifrey said. "Death doesn't suit me, to be honest."

[Seiya Kou]

"Damn..." Dark Kuiper muttered. "And that was my only shot...You're lucky, Senshi!" she yelled, fading away into the darkness.

[Sailor Mars]

Mars stood with eyes fixated for a moment on the spot where Dark Kuiper vanished. 'Kuso...I didn't get a good enough look, who was that?' she wondered, then shook her head. She looked down at where Gallifrey was still on the floor and offered a hand to help her up. "You okay?" Mars asked.

[Susan Foreman]

"Mostly," Gallifrey replied, accepting Mars' hand. "A little drained, and... confused, to be honest."

[Sailor Mars]

"That makes two of us." Mars said dryly. Somehow that dark senshi reminded her of one of Minako's friends, the first one to tell Mars when she went evil. I wonder...it's not impossible. "Well, for a start, do you know why she was after you?" Mars asked Gallifrey.

[Susan Foreman]

"One of my people, the Rani, sent her here," Gallifrey said. "I'm not sure why the Rani would want to kill me, at all."

Unless...

"They think I'm a coward, someone who doesn't deserve to be a Senshi," she said. "I'm not a full-blooded Gallifreyan... the Rani never approved of me being appointed as Sailor Gallifrey."

[Sailor Mars]

"Do they have someone else in mind? I mean, to take over as Sailor Gallifrey." Mars asked. Usually these people had a motive other than just killing people off for little reason, but sometimes not. "And who's the Rani, anyways?"

[Susan Foreman]

"Nobody else in mind, far as I know," Gallifrey replied, mentally running through the list of possible candidates. "And the Rani is what you'd call an evil genius. She's a brilliant scientist, but she doesn't understand morality or the value of life."

[Sailor Mars]

"Pity. I think I've been there before." Mars said, thinking instantly of Tomoe. "Well, if you're okay, I think it's time for me to take my leave. If you're ever in trouble like that, you won't know where to find me but I think I can find you." Mars added as she began to walk away.
