1. A high level of spelling and grammar is expected on this site. Any post that is filled with bad spelling and/or grammar that isn't for humourous purposes will be warned. I understand typos, and those will be accepted, as long as the user does not abuse this. In other words, please check your posts before submitting them.

2. Do not post out of character anywhere on the site that is not specified for Out of Character use. If you must contact another player about a thread, PM them.

3. This Role Playing Game (RPG) is set in the Harry Potter universe. This means that all posters must understand and respect the guidelines set out by canon. If you do not know the Harry Potter canon pertaining to magic and its workings, learn more at the HP Lexicon. Players who constantly break canon limitations (eg, bringing their televisions to magical universities) will be warned.

4. Characters may NOT be related to any canon characters in the Harry Potter universe. If you do, your character's account will be deleted. Automatically. I do not, however, mind if avatars are the actors who portrayed them in the movies. But again, don't overdo it. I won't accept people trying to make the twins another set of twins and call them different names. Please be creative people.

5. This RPG is set at a University level. Please have your characters act their ages. (17 and up)

6. Professors, and particularly Heads of Houses, have a high level of authority. If you choose to disrespect it, you will have to deal with the consequences.

7. The Goddess is infallible. This means that Goddess's word is law. Any changes to threads, plots, rules, or any interruptions that Goddess may play out in your threads must be respected.

8. You must rate your threads as 'Adult' in the description if you wish to RP adult situations or extreme violence. Failure to do so will mean the deletion of the thread and a warning being issued against the characters involved. This is a site of people of varied ages and beliefs, and that must be respected.

9. Do not post any pornographic material on the board. You will be banned. If there is an adult tagged thread you may allude to certain activies, but no one needs to know the details; we all have imaginations.

10. Failure to report an issue to the Feedback and Suggestions board and then throwing a hissy fit about it will be an automatic banning. We don't like drama.

11. If an individual is already using someone as a model in their avatar and it is claimed, do not use this person. Do not use illustrated characters as models.

12. Any flaming or insulting of anyone on this board, or the use of racial/ignorant slurs will be an automatic banning of the originating IP address.

13. Spamming the boards and double posting in the in-character forums will result in a warning.

14. Do not godmode other people's characters. Doing so will mean a warning, and if it is extreme, a possible banning. It is a cardinal sin.

15. Do not enter tagged threads. This is a point of common courtesy. If you must enter, PM the parties involved and ask permission. You may enter open threads to your heart's content.

16. Do not post one-liners. That's just lame, and will be an automatic warning. You can't RP anything substantial in a line. And just for good measure, two liners suck too. I will warn you, and then shoot lightning bolts from my fingertips at you.

17. Do not start drama on the Boards. If there is an issue, PM an HoH or Goddess. Fighting on the boards will mean a suspension of posting rights until the issue has cooled, or banning.

18. You must have a differentiation between speech and action. This is a sign of good RPing. Warnings will be automatic for those who fail to post properly in the English language.

19. Do not create cookie cutter characters, and do not create more characters than you have the ability to play.

20. All important information will be posted to the Important Information forum. Failure to recognize this information is not a valid excuse.

21. Do not kill off your characters without the consent of an Administrator. PM Goddess to check it out.

23. Avatars must be real people. If your character is not human, artwork is acceptable, but must be cleared by an Admin first.

24. You may not use an avatar that is already taken. Ever.

25. Any questions you have may be posted in the Feedback and Suggestions forum, or directed by way of PM to the Goddess or an HoH.
