It was almost the same as last year, the school recovering from an attack, Jarreth solemly sitting along in the vast great hall. Those were the moments he liked in the old castle. In the huge rooms all by yourself. It really gave you room to think without a hundred other voices treading over your thoughts.

He sighed, and sat back in the chair. His eyes searched the corners of the room, the staircase that lead up to the towers... a peculiar scene played in front of him. A sort of third eye viewing of the battle only a few months before. He had jumped off the staircase into the crowd of Deatheaters. That was a terrible idea, but at least it took them by surprise.

This was still his school and by merlin, he was still alive.

So a new year begins. A fresh slate. Voldemort was defeated, and now there was some hope for peace. Real peace.

Regaining his composure, Jarreth shook his thoughts, knowing that the staff and students would begin to fill the hall soon. He sat tall, much how like a headmaster should, he supposed.

Nai opened the doors to the Great Hall, she looked over seeing only Headmaster Jarreth sitting. She softly walked over to him, he looked so relaxed yet aware of eveything.

"Good evenong Headmaster." Nai softly cooed.

"It is delightful to see you."

She spoke looking at him gently, she was so happy to be in the school this year. She was comfortable around the Headmaster, she knew he was authority, but she felt he was more then the Headmaster.

Maddie bounded into the Great Hall with her usual energy; even in dress robes and ridiculously high (and bright red) heels she could bounce around with vigor.

She knew she was a little early, but she hadn't expected to be only the third person here, after a Slytherin girl she knew by sight but not by name and the Headmaster. Still, it wasn't a problem, and this way she'd be able to watch everyone enter and pounce on the ones she wanted to talk to. Maddie had especically been looking forward to speaking to Toby; she had missed his quiet yet somehow exciting personality over her long, too often stagnant summer.

But as he hadn't arrived yet, Maddie made her way--still bouncingly, despite her attire--over to the Slytherin girl and Headmaster Kentigern.

"Hi," she said brightly with a small half-wave of her hand, making no effort to control her enthusiasm. Unlike some students, for her returning to school was a joy. "Isn't it so good to be back?"

He blinked as he realised that he wasn't as late as he thought he was. Thankfully, he had re-read the pamphlet he had received; and had the foresight to casually announce it during dinner the night before he left, as if he'd known all the time. He did not want his parents doubting him before he went to the freaking school; as if the school would really start in plenty of time for him to get his bearings! He had resigned himself to that situation. Why his parents hadn't, he had no clue.

When he entered the hall, he looked about, and nodded as if resigning himself to the fact that he needed to find a watch; and the effort of going to find one. He looked about again, and sighed. He was also, it seemed, underdressed for the occasion, wearing a pair of faded jeans, and a t-shirt over which he wore a slightly large olive green army coat. His motorcycle boots thudded quite loudly in the nearly empty hall.

"Anyone know where the Ravenclaw table is?" he asked, and hearing his voice echo in the largely empty room, he realised that he still had a strong Irish accent, if a bit muddled by his travels. He tapped the Ravenclaw patch that was quite visible on his drab green old army coat. He had even duplicated it and placed the duplicates, as if they were officer's ranking stubs, on the shoulder lapels of his coat. "And what time it is? I'd really like to be able to enjoy a fag before I come in and eat too much."

She smiled at the girl who waved to her.

"Goodevening." She replied with a soft smile.

She smiled to the young looking man, "I am not quite sure, I have not even found my table yet. But I believe you have plenty of time to have a smoke." She said soothingly.

She seemed fairly underdressed for this occassion, she was in a forrest green v-neck shirt and black pants and little black shoes, with her usual mohawk.

She looked back to Jarreth and the young girl dressed in red, and she just smiled.

Nikolai came dashing into the Great Hall, in some hopes to see his brother. Since the start of the term, he hadnt seen much of Carlisle. It dawned on him as he walked in, they would not even be able to sit with eachother due to the seating arrangements.

He was dressed normally. White tee shirt, blue jeans and his leather jacket that had a Gryffindor patch sewed on. His brother would most likely be indentical, but with a Ravenclaw patch.

He slowed his pace, and walked a bit slower intaking the atmosphere around him.
He had not seen this building yet, as he roamed he looked for a proper table. He stood waiting, looking for other Gryffindor people, so he knew to sit at the correct table.

He leaned against a wall facing the door impatiently waiting for his brother.

As he strolled into the Great Hall, he noticed his brother wearing practically the same outfit, minus the Ravenclaw patch. He walked up to him kindly greeting him, while scanning the room for the appropriate table.

He kindly excured himself from Nikolai, and walked over to the young man wearing the same patch.

"Do you mind if I stand with you, til I can figure out where our table is?" Carlisle spoke in a smooth even pace.

Vincent grinned in thanks while bowing shallowly, or nodding deeply. It was hard to tell. "My thanks," he said, and turned to the door. He had to lightly step to the side to avoid another young man, this one wearing a Gryffindor patch, which made him think about what patch the young lady had been wearing. He was a bit confused, as he didn't remember one.

"Hm," he 'hmmed', and put it from his mind. When he actively took notice of his surroundings again, he was outside and feeding his addiction with deep drags, and a feeling of contentment and nicotine pushing a warm feeling through his body. At least his younger sibling wasn't here to make him feel guilty.

When he was finished, he meandered back inside, and found his way back into the Great Hall.

"Supper time!" he said to himself, a big lopsided grin on his face. That was when somebody's voice broke into his thoughts of food and drink. "Eh?" he said, rather intelligently.

Belatedly he ran the other Ravenclaw's words through his head, and he smiled when he finally worked them out. "Why of course. Ravenclaw, I'm assuming?"

"Aye." He replied, somewhat quietly this time.

He peered around some more intaking his surroundings. He was trying not to imagine what this room would look like filled with all the beings from this school.

He looked to his brother, who seemed so casual leaning there, then shook himself out of his thoughts and looked to the other young man.

"Carlisle, and you?" He gestured placing his hand out.

He took the hand and shook it firmly.

"Vincent," he said in turn, with a friendly grin. "Nice to meetcha, Carlisle."

Mika grimaced as she entered the hall. Oh, great deities. She didn't know which table was hers. That... pretty much sucked. She preferred slipping in quietly, but she would have to be sociable and introduce herself to people and such. Great.

Today, she still looked horrid, as though something had run her over with a large, heavy, destructive item. Black circles surrounded her eyes, a large bruise covered most of her left hand, wrist, and arm, though you couldn't see it under her school clothing, and her limp brown hair was lopsided because she had to cut out half of the tangles.

However, she still looked neat and precise. Her clothing was crisply ironed, her features bright and brilliant, and she gave an overall impression of being oddly specific. Mr. Snugglebottoms rode on her shoulder, looking chipper as well.

She glanced around, and notice Carlise and Vincent standing together. They were both Ravenclaws, so.... It was best for her to speak to the pair.

"Hello," she murmured as she strode up to them. "Do you know where we will be seated this year? I am unsure."

Carlisle moved gently towards the fragile figure standing in front of him.
"I am not quite sure. I imagine, if enough of us build up they might just tell us where to go." His accent was so heavy, he doubted he would ever get rid of it.

It looked to him, that the girl had been from hell and back, she looked like she could collapse at any moment. He moved slightly again, and leaned on the wall, he was generally a mirror image of Nikolai. He angled himself somewhat facing both Vincent and the girl, mainly the girl, he really was afraid she may collapse.

He gestured his hand lightly towards her.
"I am Carlisle, and you?"

Rorie sashayed into the Great Hall. She figured she was loosely breaking some rule for not wanting to wear the robe given. She had bought a cape of the same colour, and had that on over a dainty black cocktail dress that was made of lace.

She held the cape close to herself, it had the Professor emblem on it that represented her place at Seelie Academy.

She had no destination once she had arrived into the hall, she saw Jarreth with a few students surrounding him, and slowly started towards him. As she walked she looked around learning where the tables were orientated, also memorizing faces of students.

The sun wasn't completely set, but it was dark enough for Gregory to be about without any serious harm to his health. Being several hundred years old did have its small perks, however there was quite a large downside to unbalance the whole thing. If he were human this whole mess with Mika wouldn't have happened.

He let himself into the Great Hall, though he wasn't a registered student any more, he doubted anyone would mind if he showed up where he didn't belong. He spotted Mika, and realized instantly that if he were human he wouldn't be undead, and he would never have met Mika in the first place.

There was that pain in his chest again, and it had nothing to do with the sparse amount of blood in his veins. Would she really even want to see him? He was having doubts. They couldn't just go on now as they had before, could they? He had messed up, something had to change. Right?

His vampire heart didn't remember how to deal with this, but, for her, he had to try. Soundlessly he appeared behind her, placing his cold fingers gently on her shoulders. "Making friends?" he asked with a warm smile, but he hadn't fed, and the temptation to bite was strong this evening. He dropped his hands from her shoulders, clasping them behind his back. His eyes dodged around to the people that Mika was talking to and he gave a short nod to each of them.
