The event is part of a larger commemoration marking the 10th anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death in Laramie, Wyo. "The Laramie Project" was written by Moises Kaufman after interviewing dozens of Laramie residents about occurrences surrounding Shepard's beating death. Shepard's mother, Judy, will speak at Loring Park before the reading, which is directed by Peter Rothstein. Knight is featured on ABC TV's "Grey's Anatomy."
