Translator's Notes: This is my favorite song from the Love Life album. I'm fairly sure that Hitomi is hiding from the inevitable break up in this song. She's boarded up in her room pretending not to be there just so she can avoid dealing with whomever she's going out with.

Translator's Notes: I won't even pretend I understand what's going on here lyrics wise. We've done our best here. The image I think that comes across strongest, is of breaking through. This is my own personal image but, I see a car or a jet, speeding up and cutting through the night, the sky, the open air.

Translator's Notes: Doesn't this song sound like Mr. Children's Owarinaki Tabi? Our thinking is that Hitomi isn't singing about just one 'you' in particular. In this case it's n'ot her lover or loved one but, her ideal person. Someone she looks up to, and wants to be like. "'You' are always there smiling, no matter what happens, I wish I could be that way" is how it sounds to me. The line of fate is one of the lines on your hand used in palm reading, it tells of your fate...obviously.

Translator's Notes: I (Boo) see this song as a sort of commentary on commericialism. Especially the lines, "putting on meaningless things" and "trading places with our childhood memories". Like our lives are just things not people and events. The line in Japanese mayou hodo kokoro ni kizamou korekara no yume no tsuzuki wo... literally "The more we worry, the more we'll mark the continuation of the dream we're going to have from now on our hearts" we simplified to make it succinct.

Translator's Notes: This is a hard song to translate. Hitomi doesn't always write in linear ways. Her lyrics often are more about envoking a mood and painting a picture than telling an idea or story right out. shaky feelings... is like "feelings of doubt in a relationship". Perhaps the hardest image to see is the one of the smoke clouds as they relate to human relations. Like "those clouds about to split apart, when we are with someone we are always on the verge of falling apart, but if we try to understand one another, maybe we can last." Interpret as you like.
