History:

Childhood Years:
Kai was born on Coruscant to a Mandalorian woman by the name of Trinity Dependus. At the time of his birth, he was unaware of who his father truly was. As he started to grow during the few years he was with his mother, he was told that his father was a Jedi knight, but that was all he learned as a young child.

At the age of 5 his mother gave him to the Jedi temple to begin his training in the ways of the Jedi. The young child was taken in and tested to see how sensitive he was to the Force. After being found to have been quite sensitive to the Force, he was taken in and began his training as a youngling in the temple. Through the next several years as a youngling he was able to surpass the other younglings in his teachings. This caught the attention of one of the Jedi Knights by the name of Brutus Orikan, who then requested to take the youngling as his own apprentice.

The council granted Brutus the right to take the youngling as his apprentice and soon thereafter, Brutus began Kai's Jedi training. At the age of 11 Kai had already passed the skills of several of the other padawans within the Jedi Order in Lightsaber Combat, and had begun construction on his own silver-bladed lightsaber.

Teenage Years:
When he reached the age of 15 he was visited by his mother Trinity, and his sister Jasmine. After hours of visiting with his family, his mother decided to tell him who his father really was. She told him that he was Master Kyle Tavkern, one of the Jedi Masters on the Jedi Council. She told him the story of how the two had met long ago, when Kyle and she were in their teens, and how they cared deeply for each other. After some time, Kyle returned to the Jedi, instead of following her path and getting married.

Kai was surprised to hear all of this, and over time kept it to himself. Through the next couple of years, he started his Jedi trails, which he passed, and was soon promoted from padawan to the rank of Jedi knight. Kai was then given the choice of taking on his own apprentice at which time he turned down the offer. Choosing to work solo, he began working by himself for the Order.

Adulthood Years:
It has been several years since he has earned the rank of Knight, and he has grown quite skilled in the use of the Lightsaber. He has also made a name for himself amongst the Jedi. Several of the Masters, and the Jedi Council disagree with his tactics. He tries to do better knowing that his father was the grandmaster. The reason he does this is because when word gets out about his parentage, he doesn't want to ruin the Jedi's faith in his father. He has currently been trying to find a good padawan to train. He has seen many worthy padawans ascend through the order, but many have already found a master waiting for them to come of age. He still continues to meditate and go on missions while he waits.

However, he had met with destiny or fate, whichever you want to call it. He met a woman whom he instantly fell for. He didn't know what to do with himself. The Jedi teachings of his past preserved him for a while. He still couldn't control his like/lust for the Sith lady. He kissed her finally, taking control of his life. Then he pledged himself to her, and as long as she wanted him and she was happy, then he would be there for her. Because of his love, he is now questioning his old alliances.
