I've noticed that a few of you have been adding a new field to your submission forms that I've taken interest in. The "Special Abilities" field.
Now, if this would be added it would probably take a few weeks to be put into full effect, but it would tell people more about the characters and what they could bring to Super Smash Bros. in terms of uniqueness. I haven't thought about what would be considered a "Special Ability" yet, so I'm leaving it up to you guys to define it. |

Oh, yeah, haha. That would be pretty cool.
That field, if I recall correctly, was added in by a couple of us for our "full moveset" submissions, which were similar to the Mercurious days of old, when there was the complete submission form, as well as the limited submission form. I believe special abilities refers to Lucario's attack bonus (at a certain percentage, forget which), wall climb, wall cling, wall jump, swim faster, ability to glide... etc. Basic techniques like that. |

Eebit's about got it covered. The Special Ability field is something Jonno and I came up with and meant it to contain info on Characters that wouldn't fit anywhere else but is still relevent information such as the ability to wall jump, glide, crawl, extra jumps and so-on.

We might possibly not put this submission field on the site, too much work would be involved to update over 300 character pages. But it's fine to still use it on the forums with new submissions.

Completely agree DK3. It'd be too big of a hassle to have to update every last character page when only one new field is added.
Also James, I dunno about Ty being able to swim longer than anyone but he could be able to swim longer than most other characters. Characters like Jonathan Jones and Squirtle would also be able to swim longer. |
