Title: Sephiroth
Description: My best attempt!

DK3 - May 28, 2010 10:19 AM (GMT)
I don't really have a firm history of playing too many Final Fantasy games, and Final Fantasy VII is one of those I really haven't had the chance to play. So this submission was created on sheer research of the character. I felt someone had to make Sephiroth already. :P

Name: Sephiroth
Quality Picture: Sephiroth
Origin: Final Fantasy VII
Date of Origin: January 31, 1997
Home Stage: Northern Crater
Taunt ^: Sephiroth holds his Masamune blade in the air in a taunting manner.
Taunt v: Sephiroth motions forward as he say "You will not survive this."
Taunt < or >: Sephiroth holds his hands out to his side and states "I am like no other."
Entrance: Sephiroth enters the stage in his Bizarro Sephiroth form before transforming into his normal appearance.
Kirby Hat: Kirby gains Sephiroth's long silver hair.
Offense: 8/10
Defense: 7/10
Projectile: 4/10
Weight: 7/10
Speed: 3/10
Recovery: 3/10
Throwing Ability: 6/10
Final Smash: 9/10

Special Moves
Standard Special: Octaslash (2%-18%) - Sephiroth unleashes with a fury of sword slashes, each one more powerful than the last, until the fifth, when he reels back and slashes forward from over his head. Sephiroth is vulnerable from behind as he focuses his attacks on opponents in front of himself. The first four attacks will cause from 2%-12% damage and the last will cause 10%-18% damage.
Side Special: Fire Materia (3%-7%) - Sephiroth summons a Fire Materia that will cast itself forward as a projectile, burning opponents in its way for 3%-7% damage and disintagrating upon impact with walls and obstacles. This attack is similar in ways to both Sames's Missile attack and Zelda's Din's Fire.
Up Special: Heartless Angel (8%-15%) - Sephiroth transforms briefly into Safer Sephiroth and ascends quickly into the air, plowing through opponents in the way and causing 8%-15% damage. This attack is similar to Fox's Fire Fox, except Sephiroth doesn't recover as much distance.
Down Special: Support Materia (2%-6%) - Sephiroth summons a Support Materia which shields him temporarily for 2 seconds, reflecting all projectiles and damaging close by opponents in the process for 2%-6% damage. The Support Materia can be destroyed with physical attacks, leaving Sephiroth vulnerable to follow up damage.
Final Smash: Supernova (60%-75%) - Sephiroth transform into Safer Sephiroth once again before casting this spell. Afterwards, a short cutscene will follow, similar to Captain Falcon's Blue Falcon Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, showing the solar system being destroyed by Sephiroth using a large meteor before every opponent receives 60%-75% damage, but suffering from no actual knockback.

Brief Info on Character:
Sephiroth is the primary antagonist of Final Fantasy VII, and one of the major villains of its extended universe. A prototype SOLDIER and the strongest alive, Sephiroth is initially revered for his strength and hailed as a hero, until he learns and misinterprets his origins. Believing himself as the last of the Ancients, Sephiroth enacts a vendetta against mankind, with the ultimate goal of becoming a god and controlling the planet. Sephiroth's goals later include defeating Cloud Strife, who has consistently foiled his plans. To this end, Sephiroth is frequently depicted as Cloud's archnemesis.

Sephiroth's early designs were done by Yoshitaka Amano and later refined by Tetsuya Nomura. Sephiroth, in all his appearances, wears a long black coat with silver pauldrons, black boots, and black clothing underneath. The top of his clothing underneath his uniform is split to reveal his chest, covered by crossing leather straps. His hair is long and silver, a sharp contrast to Cloud Strife's blond spikes, with his bangs parted to either side of his face. In Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-, his bangs are noticeably shorter than in any of his earlier appearances. Beyond his clothing and hair, Sephiroth is known for his green cat-like eyes and the Masamune, his seven-foot long katana that he is rarely seen without. His battle stance with the sword is to hold it over his left shoulder with the blade curving downward. Sephiroth usually wields the Masamune two-handed, presumably to increase the force of his strikes as he is capable of using it with one hand. In later appearances he has a single black wing emerging from his right shoulder.

Kingdom Hearts (PlayStation 2)
Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- (PlayStation Portable)

Very cool! I myself have never really played a final fantasy game, just watched other people play it. But I still think this is very interesting! (I especially love how your descriptions are short, but still gives us the message!)

Well, I try my best with the time I have on my hands. Between my personal life and keeping the site updated, it doesn't leave as much time as I'd like to have for making new submissions. :P

I really like the use of all of the materia here. Believe it or not, most Sephiroth's I see, things are crazy with sword techniques when they COULD. BE. USING. MATERIA. So awesome job DK3, I approve 1,000%
