I currently run a castle creations CC BEC on my 2.2 size Axial Scorpion. This is only because without it, my Bluebird servo drains so much power that the built-in bec on my mamba 25 cannot continue to run my receiver. Without the external bec any load on the servo will shut down the truck. This is made worse by the fact that two days after I first got my cc bec it failed and would not power anything or connect to my computer. I sent it in for repair and it returned two months later in perfect working order. One month later it failed in the same way. This is extremely annoying because I have it wired up EXACTLY as the instuctions detail and within power limitations. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I buy a different company's bec? Should I give up on bec's and use four AA's?
I am running a 2s 1900mah lipo (occaisionally a 3s 900 mah lipo) with a mamba 25, a gws 2212/15 outrunner, a spektrum ar6000 reciever, a futaba s3003 for dig, a bluebird bms-620mg for steering (144 oz./in. torque), and one troublesome castle creations CC BEC.
