Title: 2009 Nationals bid / TN state run off

Badd - March 11, 2009 11:00 PM (GMT)
I have been working with sddill (Stacey) and raptorman57 (Steve) on the 2009 Nationals / TN bid. They (E.T.R.C) are going to host it this year . The date they are shooting for is June 13th . They are wanting to hold it in Dayton TN at the werock site . The two things they have came up with is run their top 5 and our top 5 on seperate courses or let those people run the State champ courses first . Either way only the top 5 from each club would get a shoot at the two Nats spots . But at the same time someone other than the top 5 from each couldbe the state champ .
If they use the Dayton spot there will be a $10.00 fee per person .

Let me know what you guy think about this .
What format ?
run the same courses as everyone but run them first .
or run seperate courses (if so how many)
either way we want to get the Nats bids done first thing .
If you don't post up here we want know how you fell and what you want to see happen . Thanks Andy

PS: Stacey & Steve please post up if I have left anything out or if you want to add something .

The only thing I want to add is that Iwant to bow out of the nat contention because I can't go ...But still want to compete for state champion..So how ever you guys want to handle that would be fine.. my2cents

Since the whole reasoning behind the comp is to pick the Nationals spots and the State Champion, I think that should be the main objective. It is "The Top 10 Shoot-Out", I would pay money just to see that! But if it turned out to be a regular comp afterwards that would be cool. But in my opinion the top 10 should run first. Same courses could be used afterwards for the rest of us losers to run a regular comp, if time allowed. And it already is the Finals, so no need for a finals course. 3 couses, 10 gates, 5 minutes each. Just my ideas, as always, I'm open minded for any way the majority chooses to do it. :thankyou:

We will run the nats qualifiers on totally separate courses. Shouldn't take but about an hour or a little better to run them through. While a few guys are judging that, others can be setting courses for state championship runs.

Running the nats guys on different courses will do 2 things. Make it easier to separate the scores. It'll also limit the traffic on the courses to keep it more of a level playing field for those drivers.

Guys running for the nats can run both sets of courses, but either set of scores will remain separate. Just cause they are going to nats, doesn't give them a free ticket to state champ. The nats invite winner could bomb it and come in dead last in the state champ comp. Doubtful....but it could happen. This way anyone could be state champ

This will be held in Dayton TN @ the werock headquarters...On June the 13th..

More info will be given as everything gets nailed down....
