Now, until I get some more staff, I'm working on my own basically. Great. Anyway, here are some basic rules.

1. Rating
This site is rated M, you might say. Swearing is aloud, though no liberal usage. Only ONE word is blocked, and let's keep it that way, so use swear words correctly. Sex...is allowed but despies, if found, are warned, then banned. Again, no liberal sexual stuff. Use it correctly

2. Characters
NO GOD MODING! That means no all-powerful characters. Villains are allowed, as are heroes. NO PERFECT CHARACTERS! No one in life is perfect, if they are, they're lying. Everyone is flawed in some way or another, so make it interesting.

3. Usernames
Sad that I even have to do this, but USE ORIGINAL NAMES! No names ending in numbers or odd mismatched letters. Originality is key, people.

4. Pre-Ratings
Always slap a rating on your roleplays if they are anything over PG or E. There may be little roleplayers.

5. Character #2
I will say this clearly the first time. No despies or Mary-Gary's. If you don't know what despies are desperate for love, or if in wolf rp's, they are hurt badly and are lying on the floor, unable to move and almost dying. In a Mary-Gary situation, the person might be God Moding, but not too seriously. In a highschool situation, the person would have "perfect" blonde hair and "perfect" blue eyes with a "great" personality and is "popular." See how annoying that is? Everybody has a fault or a weakness. You just can't be a super-popular, beautiful cheerleader. But, you can still hope and dream, go ahead.

6. Ye posts
Please, at least try and keep your posts up to 2 sentences. More is great. One liners....are fine if you have writer's block, everyone gets them once in a while, but don't make it a habit. But don't make your posts into a novel either. Why? One: it's way too long and some people are going to skim or just skip it. Then you get mad and it's just annoying. Two: it's just plain scary. I'm not saying literates are unwanted, but do try and keep it so that we can read, understand, and reply to what you have written.

[Devlin hath found a spelling error. You have been spell check'd!]

7. Chatspeak
Chatspeak....the most dreaded thing on earth... aside from sporks, of couse.
Now, common chatspeak such as 'brb' or 'lol' is fine.
Just lyke d0n go, lyk, takn lyke dis, lyke, alght?
Cuz it's annoying, blinding, and causes people to lose brain cells.
(Devlin's Comment: Chances are, if you're here, your brain cells are already doomed...)
(13kisses: Oi, it's just an example...not as bad as some I've seen....*shivers*)

8. Activeness
When I say activeness, I don't mean run around the room waving your arms up and down. I mean, try not to ignore a roleplay or this site for a year, then suddenly show up and post a reply. No. That will not work. If you know you are going to be gone, say so. Or apologize later. Otherwise, we'll assume you have died and just ignore the fact that your character existed in the roleplay. Why? Because we aren't going to wait around for a month just for one person. How come? Some of us arent't patient as others, meaning we won't wait.

9. Punctuation, spelling and grammar.
Now, let's all agree here. We don't want to see posts that go like:
"Te wlf were walkig dwn the hill she sat down she lt out howl."
No, of course we don't. Only excuse is if One: you are young and don't know how to type or spell very well, or Two: you are slightly paralyzed and your fingers don't work very well, or Three: Your computer is from the Jurrasic age. If one of those is true for you, then sure, I'll understand. But if not, you better shape up!

(Devlin's Comment: Crap. I frequently do capitals wrong 'cause my SHift Bar sticks...*points to word shift* proof.)

10. Banning
Should you break a rule too many times, I'll ban your ass. Yes, I said it. Now, small things like saying small bits of chat-speak every so often doesn't count, I mean like frequent names that are in direct violation (Magan4, Hak6, etc.) I CAN AND WILL IP Ban if it gets bad enough. For those of you who don't know, that means banning your COMPUTER. You won't be able to visit the site on that comp ever again. It would take a lot to make me do that. So don't piss me off.

Thank you and have a nice day!

11. Reporting

Aloki, sorry, but this is aimed at you.

Reporting a post means it's baaad. Not stupid, baad, as in ridiculous profanity, sexuality (out of the right board) or just baad. Don't report for no reason *cough* Aloki *cough* Too many false reports will be detrimental to your 'health'. Please, include a reason as to why it was reported, or email it to me.

Thank you and stop false reports.

12. Spamming

To make a long story short:

NO SPAMMING.
AT ALL.

Aside from the Spam nest.

If you do, we(admins+) have the authority to delete your posts.
Or give you a warning if it's really serious.
We all understand you want more post numbers.
What /you/ need to understand is that you don't get everything you want in life.
Deal with it.

Arigato and have a nice day.

13. Pointless Posts

(This is directed at all of us, even me)

From now on, we are not allowed to get side-tracked in any board or forum EXCEPT Spam Nest or Reality Catergory, as it detracts from the point. How would you like wading through 3 pages of stupid crap to find the actual resource? Thus, all Posts will be moved/deleted that are pointless, but no one will be warned because it's partly my fault. However, after this date, pointless posts will be penalized.

Thank you, and do something right for a change, slackers!

(10/29/06)

UPDATE:
You can post randomly on boards that are for chat. What I mean is, DON'T POST RANDOMLY ON RESOURCE OR CRITICAL INFORMATION BOARDS LIKE DICTIONARY.

14. Posts per Month

Due to the recent surge of inactive jerks, I have instituted a minimum post per month. If you do not post enough per month, you are deemed inactive and will be suspended, then banned if they don;'t log in after they are allowed back.

The current minimum posts per month is 3.
