We've created a whole new set of usergroups as well as set up three, distinct factions, each with their own subsets. Following is a short description of each along with their accompanying subsets:
The Leaders- Leaders are the highest authority on the site, although not necessarily in the roleplay itself. If they tell you to stop something, you should probably listen to them. The current leaders are Redwall Guardian, Sir Raphael, and myself (Orion Fulcry)
The Rebels- The rebels are a group of courageous creatures who have banded together to fight against the invading army. Composed of a wide variety of creatures, they are led by a single commander. Following is a further breakdown of the ranks within the rebellion (in descending order of authority):
~Commander The commander, the otter Skipper, is the one who decided to start up the rebellion. When it comes to orders regarding fighting, his word is final.
~Captain Captains are the right-paw creatures to the commander. If anything was to happen to the commander, one of the captains would rise to take his place.
~Sergeant Sergeants usually take their orders directly from captains. They are of comparable authority as the lieutenants.
~Recruit Recruits are the average rebels. Mostly composed of disgruntled farmers who wish to kick out this vermin threat, their fighting skills are still being raised up, although there are a handful of skilled warriors among them.
Rebels are represented in red.
The Army- The Army is a group of beasts bent on conquering Mossflower, including Redwall Abbey. A formidible fighting force led by a vicious wildcat. Following are the individual ranks within the army (in descending order of authority):
~Warlord The Warlord is the most feared member of the horde. He is the leader who makes the really important decisions. Currently, this spot is filled by Morotar the Malicious.
~General Generals are Morotar's 2nd in Commands. If anything was to happen to him, one of them would take over. Although Morotar has an advisor, the two generals play a large part in planning out the daily life of the hordebeast as well as devising stratagem. Currently, the two generals are Beowulf and Mulgrim.
~Colonel Colonels are the next highest rank in the army. They have power to make decisions only concerning those directly beneath their command, which happens to be a group of 29 other creatures.
~Lieutenant Lieutenants are something of assistants to colonels. They are their second in command and would assume command of their unit should anything happen to the colonel. This also allows the group to split up into two entities, usually both of 15.
~Private Finally, the last rank in Morotar's horde. Privates are the common hordebeast, but are probably the most important component. Without them, no army would exist.
Any members of the army are represented with black.
The Redwallers- If you are in the Redwall group, you most likely live at Redwall or are decidedly neutral in terms of the war. The ranks are as follows (in descending order of authority):
~Formal titles such as Abbess or Friar These members hold the higher positions of authority of Redwall Abbey. They have proven themselves capable of making well-thought out decisions.
~Elder These creatures are those residents of the Abbey who have been around for some time and are well respected by the community.
~Resident of Redwall Anyone who lives at Redwall is a resident of Redwall.
~Dibbun Ah, the young ones of Redwall.
Redwallers are represented with the color green.
The Travelers- Travelers have declared themselves neutral, and are not involved in the war. These creatures often wander from place to place.
The Guests- Guests are the members of the site who haven't been sorted into any specific category yet. They might be an evil dormouse or a kindly wildcat, but they have not provided enough information (such as a completed character profile) to indicate where they should be placed.
