Leggins as pants

I swear, this is my biggest pet peeve at the moment. Obviously, this all refers to leggins in everyday dress - dancers or people playing sport can make up their own fashion code of conduct.

In my opinion, leggins should never be worn as an outer garment. No exceptions. None.

They are acceptable when worn under dresses, or skirts. Under shirt dresses is border line. But, they really should just be used for layering.

Leggins are never, ever okay if the pelvis area is visible. Leggins are never okay if we can see the outline of your underwear.

What's your opinion on the issue - are they a great fashion choice, or do they shudder a little?

I can understand the appeal of them. But not as pants. That's just too much of a bad 80s thing that should not be allowed to rise from the dead.

Under shorts or a skirt, sure; depends on the rest of the colouring an outfits though. I saw lime green shorts with neon orange leggings today.

I recently shot this cute little Asian chick and she wore leggings and a baggy/semi-long top. They looked good on her. I guess for me it depends.

If worn with an oversize top (or any kind of arse-covering item of clothing) they can look good, but... Such a potential for it to look just plain wrong...

What about harem pants? While I think they look silly, I don't consider them to be the crime against humanity that leggins are. What do you guys think?

You need a bit of meat to pull off the harem pants look - one of my friends tried some on last week, she's skinny as hell and they looked so ridiculous.

What about the neons?

For the love of Leroy, NO! I can understand if the neons go with something, but for the most part, neon style went out with the 80's.
