From Just What is Jayadwaita's point? article
I was one BBT trustee along with Srila Prabhupada and Bali Mardan when I went to Srila Prabhupada and suggested we reprint his Original Bhagavatams for the pleasure of his devotees who liked the old Indian version... Before finishing my proposal, Srila Prabhupada admonished me saying, "no--whatever Hayagriva has done is perfect, I have full faith in him as the editor of my books." This was quite some time after the publication of Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad Gita. He went on to say "whatever he (Hayagriva) has done is perfect, do not touch it, I have full faith in him." Hare Krishna, PAMHO AGTSP This is an interesting quote. Jayadwaita is highly confused if he is using this to justify his own changes to Prabhupada's books. I would like to read the whole article. where do I find it? yhs Rukmini dd -------------------- *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Hare Krishna, Thank you for the link. One thing that Hansadutta points out is that iskcon has long lost the claim to copyright protection. I am not sure what the time period is but I am sure this to be true. This book change tactic may have been - among other things - a try at keeping the copyright protection on the books. Iskcon is also doing this copyright tactic on the old Indian devotional films. They had no hand in the production of these films and yet they think they have the copyright to them! yhs Rukmini dd -------------------- *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
