THERE IS A NEW ALBERT ELLIS BLOG FOR DISCUSSION OF R.E.B.T.

http://albert-ellis.blogspot.com/

You're going to need a gmail account to sign in. They're free and you can sign up by going to google and clicking on gmail at the top of the page, or you can go here.

https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount?...555f6818&type=2

This is a brand new blog set up by someone who was thwarted in his efforts to sign up for this forum. Instead of steaming, he let his frustration motivate him to positive action. That's R.E.B.T. at work.

If you get stopped in your efforts to sign up, please persevere. I was thrwarted for a little while, but I kept going and I will learn how to operate on this new blog. I think the creator intends to have several experts in rational thinking and therapy as regular contributors, with everyone being able to comment on their posts. That's similar to how the Huffington Post, one of the most famous blogs on the 'net, operates.

I'll keep you updated on progress as I learn how to post on this new forum.

Gayle

Gail, Thanks for the information, yet I cannot figure out why we desire more when it seems most difficult to get some people to comment on any of those already available. I am pleased they used the name Albert Ellis and REBT or are they affilliated with the institute in someway?

Dennis,

The new Albert Ellis Blogspot is not affliated with the Institute at all. No way. The person who started it is a friend and supporter of Al and Debbie and a friend of mine, too.

Okay ... emails have been passed among readers and folks want us to keep this forum active, even the people who don't post. So I guess that's what we'll do. Our goal is to honor Al's strong preferences, the ones he stated shortly before he died. He wanted us to use R.E.B.T. in our own lives and teach it to other people. I've received emails from folks urging us to continue our conversations here because they are learning from them.

Dennis, Funen and readers ... I'm up for it if you are. And all people who want to promote R.E.B.T. as a way of honoring Albert Ellis are welcome to join us.

Anyone see the top left corner the "Registration note",

It looks like people CAN register. Make sure REBT is in your subject line or board name. For example, I might register as:

Gayle-REBT

That may be cumbersome, but there's a reason. There's a lot of spambots automatically registering and it says you'll only be automatically registered if you say something with the letters REBT.

It's confusing and we'll get it figured out as time progresses. But right now, the forum is open.

Happily,
Gayle
