The two Ellis books by Emmett Velten, the biography "The Lives of Albert Ellis" and "Under The Influence: Reflections of Albert Ellis in the Work of Others" have been postponed yet again, with November 2006 as current publication date.
Anybody know why?

I've had both on order at Amazon since November 2004. That's a long time to wait for anything...

I wouldn't worry about those faux 'release dates' from the publishers, I think they just pull them out of their...computers.

Dr. David Burns new book "When Panic Attacks" was delayed for a couple of years, until it finally came out, dates constantly changing.
Personally, I ignore those alleged pre-release dates, as they are always about 1-2 years off! It might be a technical thing, or it might be a way to try and build a book "buzz", or it could be a corporatist publisher thing.

The Emmett Velten books discussed here a year ago are *still* not available.
"The Lives of Albert Ellis" has meanwhile been retitled "Albert Ellis: American Revolutionary", according to Amazon, and is allegedly slated for August 1st publication. I'm not holding my breath. Three years of delays does strike me as unusual to say the least. Are all parties holding off until they know how the last chapter should read???
