To our dearest Quainters,

We want to give you all an update about a certain issue that has come up lately regarding the whole posting of SS501's album, Rebirth. It was brought to our attention that many members are very unhappy with one of our affiliates, allkpop, posting the youtube clips of SS501's album before it was officially released. We understand the concern with the leaking of the songs from the album but you should remember that we cannot put any reinforcement into controlling the posting of the songs.

Firstly, we do appreciate all the support from our members, asking for not downloading and purchasing the album and we do encourage this. If possible, please buy SS501's albums to support them. If you're wondering how this effects SS501, think about the revenue that they earn from the sales of albums. If everyone just downloads, where will SS501 get their album sales profits from? Think about it, you will be wasting all their hard work, efforts and time put into putting together the albums and music by only downloading their music off the net.

Secondly, although this might sound contradicting, we hope that all members can get along, everyone has a different point-of-view and we have to accept this. We do encourage the purchasing of the albums but we cannot stop others from downloading. What we can do here in Quainte is to enforce the rule about no sharing of the mp3s and music of SS501 within our forum. There is a limitation in how much we can put into stopping the sharing of the songs. We really do appreciate Quainters who try to help spread this out but it's the others' choices of what they post and when they do it.

Lastly, we did notice the whole posting at allkpop, they did temporarily take it down due to the whole leakage problem. They just reposted after the release of the album. Allkpop has been doing a very good job with posting more and exposing more of SS501 to the general public, they just wanted to let everyone know more about the whole release. Plus, what they posted was a youtube link, it was not a direct downloading link, meaning with a YT link, they gave a dose of the music streaming wise. Some may say that the whole linking back to us seems to be changing the image of Quainte, making it seem like we encourage downloading but if you read carefully, it says go to Quainte to spazz and discuss.

We have noticed that this issue has been causing a lot of trouble within the forum itself and we hope that everyone can get along and keep this friendly, close relationship with each other. Don't get too work up about something like this and fight with each other. If you do see a link, don't bring it back to share with the whole forum, we prefer to keep the forum mp3-download-free! We have a SUPPORT SS501 link for a reason.

So with this, we hope that members can continue to support SS501 & Quainte no matter what.

Just a little hint~! Quainte understands that not everyone is able to purchase the album themselves and we will have something planned to celebrate the comeback of SS501 a little later~ Please look forward to that!

One last thing~! As some of you have noticed, the kaleidoscope section is a little messy and we have written up notices to try to keeping the posting neater but we do thank all members for posting and sharing with us. Great! I do appreciate Allkpop's work with publicizing SS501, however~~ i think the issue was that those embedded videos led to direct downloads posted by the youtube users who uploaded them.. and all this a few hours before the release~~ which was very contradicting to Quainte itself. Next time, i do hope that the writers do their research before linking to leaked songs.. I think streaming after the release date is fine and we should allow for it to happen~~ for that is the only way we can pull in new green peas! :kyu:

I haven't actually noticed any issues in the forum myself, but thanks for addressing this issue!! I can't wait for that comeback celebration!

This may seem redundant already, but I still want to express my thoughts on this. Haha.

Thanks Irene Unni for addressing the issue. It's true that we can't stop things from spreading in the internet, we have no control in that. However, we, as loyal fans, can make a big difference in what leakages can cause. So let's all start with ourselves, in this forum. Right? Hmm.. I myself got caught up in the quarrel between those who just download and the ever-so-loving fans. Haha. Irene Unni's right.. We should keep a friendly atmosphere. :)

Aw. I wanted to apply for the mod position, but I can't at the moment. School's very hectic these days. Maybe in the summer, when I have more time. Haha. Thanks for informing us, Unni.

And yes, let's all buy their CD to support them! :D
