This thread is designed to allow you to post any free software not already listed on this site. Due to the nature of the internet these days and how viruses and spyware run rampent, we will inspect all submisions before adding them to the main software list.

1. Please only submit software that can help in the making of Project ACES 3D, no random stuff.

2. Please only submit FREEWARE, no SHAREWARE.

3. Please DO NOT submit software that looks like it was made by some random joe in his basement and has never been used by anyone. Try to get software that is well known.

4. Please DO NOT provide a direct link to the software download (We want to background check it before we download it). Any direct links will be deleted and the person who submitted it will be warned.

GMax- The ultimate free 3d modelling program.

And the best part is- it is compatible with 3DS Max

Works only on XP, to my knowledge.

I use Anim8or as my 3d modelling and animation program. Farily simple(I guess) for the base essentials of modelling. Has several supporting software for extra stuff like particle effects, water, terrain, etc.(don't have direct link for the others.
