I think that the Avatars should be 150X150 so that we can see them better.

Thanks

When I try to upload a picture from my computer, it won't accept it. I dont know why. Could you fix that? I have a Macintosh so could it be that?

maybe it is the type of picture you are trying to upload. What is the file extension?

Or it could be the size. How big is it? Like the file size, I amean. How many kilobytes/megabytes?

And yes, you should ditch your Mac. Oh wait, you didn't ask that did you... lol

Okay. I'm going to explain my views in the OS world.
I try to even things out, not just absolutely hate Macs and Apple for what seems to be no other reason than loving Microsoft.
How I see it:
Windows>Linux>Mac
Windows is #1 on my list because it's fast, stable, and most programs run under it.
Now I'm not saying it's PERFECT, (no OS is perfect.) but I just don't see a reason why people would chose an overpriced OS like Mac over an cheap, easy-to-use, efiicient OS like Windows.
Mac is like... this is from a comic my friend Ieleah showed me... (It's from Ctrl-Alt-Delete which is an AWESOME comic) a 'Fisher Price My First Computer'.
I say that because everything is simplified in the Mac world. You see a lot more Windows tips and tricks books than Mac ones because in the Mac world you don't really need them. See, Mac doesn't let you screw up your computer. Which also means you can't modify it that much (which is a TOTAL bummer to us nerds).
I must admit, the graphics are pretty in Mac, but it's too white. It's like it has never seen the light of day.... and that last phrase could not have been said better.
Apple just doesn't get it. The average person does NOT make over $100,000 a year, like they obviously think. Mac programs are almost all graphics and video editing software, and by now there are free alternatives, like GIMP and Milkshape for graphics and 3D modeling, and Windows Movie Maker for video. For any free software, check out SourceForge.
But, the good things about Mac is that it is pretty efficient, but I wouldn't say stable. It can multitask like a god one minute, and the next minute just freeze up and give you the beach ball of death.
And, I say again, it is way too overpriced.
Apple just doesn't get it. People chose Windows over Mac because it's cheap and does what you tell it to.
Now for my Windows arguement.
Windows, like I said before, just does what you tell it to. Nothing fancy about it. Most programs run under Windows, therefore making this a very useful OS. Windows uses the x86 processor architecture (Think Intel, AMD), which provides incredible CPU power for a low price. My processor is an Intel Pentium 4 with Hyper-Threading Technology, 2.8 Ghz. Feels like 6 Ghz.
See, Intel chips have these great features, like Hyper-Threading. It makes one processor act as two, doubling your speed.
But, this part of the arguement may not last long, because Apple is slowly getting smart and ditching IBM for Intel chips.
My computer is older, cheaper, yet still about twice as powerful as my dad's Mac.
He got his on sale for about $1,500. Mine cost about $919.
He's had to call the Mac dude I don't know how many times, and he's had to take his Mac in for a logic board (motherboard) repair. On bootup, there were two Apple logos instead of one. And there were lines everywhere.
We have had to call a PC dude for my computer..... once. To install my graphics card and second hard drive. But, I can't say most people will get off that easy, because I don't mean to brag or anything, but I think I would call myself pretty damn smart with computers.
When it comes to Windows itself, it rarely BSODs on me. Most of my BSODs are hardware failures. Possibly all of them are. Thats probably the most common reason for a Windows box Bluescreening.
Also, most hardware supports Windows. And a lot supports Windows and Windows only. Now, since Mac doesn't really let you break your system from the inside out, Mac users are pretty much screwed. But now onto Linux...
Linux is an OS for the expert computer user. Someone who isn't afraid to sit at a command prompt all day. This is a VERY hard OS. But it has it's advantages. You can make Linux do anything you want it to, but only if you know what you're doing.
It can run on any processor architechture. Just gotta find the right distro.
Linux has alternatives to EVERYTHING. And most of the alternatives are free.
Linux is pretty stable, but it lets you break every aspect of your computer. It barely gives you a warning. You delete one file and you have to pray to whatever you believe in that it wont fuck your system.
But that also means you can configure ANYTHING to your liking. Anything and everything. You want Linux to boot up and show a screen with scribbles on it, experiment around. You can do it.
But, Linux still isn't better than Windows. And if Microsoft finally gets smart and makes an Open-Source OS, then Linux will probably be 'assimilated' by Microsoft. Which would be awesome.
So, basically, just choose your OS wisely.
